The fanfiction you're about to read was originally started in 2012, in Dutch, as an attempt to combine my NedPort passion with my Dutch learning. Unfortunately, I soon noticed that, being Dutch a rather unconventional language – not that widely spoken around the world –, I wasn't getting that many reviews, which disheartened me and led me to stop.
I'm now giving it a new try, but in English. Please note that this story takes place after my two fanfictions "Two mariners" and "No way back", so it would be better if the readers also read these other ones.
In the piece following, Ned will appear under the name of Abel and Lady Port under the name of Joana.
