Chapter 1?
It was early on a Saturday and the three sisters were sitting on the couch with Lee watching TV, May reading some comics, and Marie reading a brown book when she normally has a fashion mag. Things were quiet with the only sound being the TV. Then Lee looked over to see Marie reading that book.
"Marie, what the heck are you reading," Lee said, getting Mays's attention.
"Psychology," Marie simply said.
"What?" a confused Lee said.
With a sigh, Marie explained "it's a book on psychology I'm reading it to see if there's a way to get Ed's to go out with us," said Marie
"What!?, that's stupid that book isn't going to teach you anything," May says with a laugh.
"For ones, I with May what can that book tell us about getting the ed's," Lee said in agreement with May.
"Maybe the reason why they are at home and not here with us on a Saturday," said Marie matter-of-factly and caused her sisters to frown.
Seeing that brought a smile to her face even if it means she is right. The eds are no closer to being their boyfriends than they were a year ago.
"Fine ms. bookworm what does your precious 'psychology' think we should do then," Lee said in an angry tone and looking annoyed.
Marie was tempted to mess with her but decide not to Lee hits hard "Well if you must know it's not what we should do more like what we should stop doing," Marie said to her sisters
"What's that's supposed to mean?" May ask looking to Lee "beast me," Lee said completely confused.
With that said, Marie got up and moved in front of her sisters "come on girls let's be honest here I mean what do we always do when we're near these boys," Marie said to get them to understand.
"Run after them" "trying to kiss them" "telling them how great girlfriends we could be" "explaining the details of our wedding," both sisters said one after the other with dreamy eyes.
"Well, that's good and all but has any of those things work for us at all!" Marie asked them saying the last few words very slowly. She was met with silence from the two.
"Exactly and if we don't change something soon we're likely to lose them forever," Marie said to her sisters to explain the problem they face if they don't act soon.
"Then what do we do then, it's the only thing we know that works on guys that's how mom does it all the time," May said in a panic now thinking of the worst outcome.
"May I don't think we should be following mom examples given the fact that all the guys she's with are never the same and are creepy total losers," Marie said to May to get her to understand that their mother is the worst role model to follow when it comes to love.
While May was thinking about what she was just told, Lee doesn't need to she knew what Marie just said is right. She was willing to bet that the only "real relationship" their mother ever had was with their dads and it's probably because she was carrying them at the time. Too bad it wasn't enough of a reason to get those lowlifes to stay and be dads!
"Okey we get it what we're doing now isn't going to work so what are we going to do now we can't lose the ed's and I'm not losing eddy," Lee said to Marie not knowing she had a worried look on her face.
Seeing her sisters worrying Marie decided to tell them the plan she came up with thanks to that book. "Alright, girl cool it because I have a plan," Marie said getting the other girl's attention "okay, so listen closely because if this works we'll have the ed's in our hands in no time," Marie said giving her sisters some hope and giving a smile in return "okay so here's what I worked out thanks to this book and I could give you the long version," Marie said starting to lose one of her sister's attention "but the short and sweet of it is we are trying way too hard to get to the finish line," Marie said and getting two confused looks in return.
"You lose me Marie," Lee said with May giving a nad in agreement.
With a sigh, Marie decided to just come out and say it because talking like a teacher is not working. "Ok so to put this plain and simple the reason why nothing we do is working and the ed's still don't want us is because we're trying to rush towers the end and be in a relationship without really trying to build one first," Marie said pausing to see if her sister's where following what she's saying. Seeing that they were she continued "All we've ever done is throw ourselves at them like rabbits in heat and that might work if we try that with other guys but not them," Marie said with absolute certainty.
"But wait why won't it work for them," May asked with her hand raised like she in school.
"Because the eds aren't losers that go after anything that shows the slightest bit of attention," Marie said to May who looks to be finally getting it.
"So throwing ourselves won't work and trying to force a relationship won't work then what do we do now huh," Lee asked starting to get impatient.
"Fine I'll get on with it," Marie said to her impatient sister "Now to start this isn't a full-proof plan because like any relationship there never is one," Marie said to start her explanation "and because we're in no relationship to speak of we need to start at the beginning obviously so that means first order of business is we need to get the eds to talk to us," Marie said explaining the first part of the plan.
"But how do we get that to happen the second they see us those boys are going to run for the hills and never stop," Lee said what is obviously at this point. She knew when they meet they'll run like their lives depends on it.
"I know which is why instead of doing this together we'll go separately and get them when they're alone to better our chances, so to make sure they don't run we need to give them a little incentive to stay and talk," Marie after saying those words leaves the room and heads to there shard bedroom after a few moments of searching she returned with two items in hand.
"HOW'D YOU KNOW ABOUT THAT!," both sisters yelled out in surprise.
Marie just gives the girls a smug smile. In her hands are two things they don't know she knew about. One being some super rare and valuable issue one comic book that May has kept for years now. she's even managed to keep it in perfect condition by having it sealed in airtight plastic. The other being a small but thick letter book that Lee has been using to keep her life saving in. I don't know how much is in here but it's pretty heavy.
"How I know doesn't matter, what does is that with this we can convince the boys to have a real conversation with us," Marie said with a huge smile on her face and getting weird looks from her sisters.
