Number and letters, those were the only two things that have acquired the privilege to hold your attention for the past two hours. With finals ending next week you have taken it upon yourself to fully indulge yourself into your studies.

"One more week. Just one more and then I'm free from this hell forever!" You muttered to yourself quietly as you finished your honors calculus assignment.

You honestly hated school more than anything but getting by without having a degree is really tricky in today's society, so you sucked it up and are finally in your last year of college.

Just as you were about to solve the last equation a loud BAM echoed throughout your apartment, startling you.

"Sorry, that was my fault!" Said an energetic voice from the other side of the wall.

"Gosh, how does this stupid thing even work? Y/n, I think the straightener is broken again!" Shouted your roommate, Sasha, from what you figured was the bathroom.

You groaned before getting up from your desk, leaving your work unfinished.

"Sasha, it's not broken, you just have to plug it in a certain way for it to work, remember?" You sighed as you walked into the bathroom with an irritated scowl.

Sasha looked over to you with a silly smile. "Oh yeah, I totally forgot. Thanks!"

You watched as the girl tried to plug the hair tool back into the wall correctly. She was not in her typical style of clothing, but a hot pink crop top and pants set with white sneakers. Subtle makeup rested upon her face. Mascara, highlight, and some lipgloss was all you noticed, but that was all she really needed. Sasha had a natural beauty to her and to be honest she didn't really need any makeup at all to look presentable, but it definitely elevated her look.

"Damn girl, where are you going looking like that? A date with me I hope." You joked.

Sasha blushed with a little giggle escaping her mouth. "Maybe next time. Besides I don't think Niccolo would appreciate being replaced that easily."

You rolled your eyes in a playful way before asking "seriously what's going on tonight? I thought you still had finals to finish?"

After finally plugging the straightener in the correct way and letting it heat up, Sasha began to straighten her hair. It was weird to see her with her hair down out of its natural ponytail, but it definitely suited her outfit.

Sasha took a strand of hair while responding. "Some of my friends are racing tonight and Jean, Connie, and I are going to cheer them on." She said with a smile creeping on her face.

You scrunched your eyebrows in confusion. "Racing, as in car racing?"

Sasha nodded her head allowing you to continue your questioning.

"Where? There's not even a race track near this part of town."

An evil smirk slowly appeared on her face which made you even more confused. "You're right, there's not a race track near here, but there are abandoned parking garages which are just as fun if you asked me."

Your eyes practically fell out of your head from how much they widened in shock. "Isn't that illegal though? I don't want you getting thrown in jail for the night again Sasha. I can't bail you out this time." You complained as you thought about all of your homework that still needed completed by Monday morning.

Sasha unplugged the straightener signaling she was done before turning towards you with her arms crossed. "That was one time and it wasn't even my fault! It was Connie's dumbass who decided it was a great idea to ride the zebras at the zoo, not mine!" She protested.

You rolled your eyes but before you can respond Sasha continued. "What happened to the y/n I met three years ago? She was all about this life."

"I'm still fun." You defended.

A scoff escaped Sasha lips while saying "yeah right, you're idea of fun is spending your Friday night alone in our apartment working on schoolwork as the rest of your friends are out living their best lives!"

Your eyes dropped her gaze in defeat. She was right. Not about schoolwork being your idea of fun but the fact that not even three years ago you used to the epitome of fun, now you can't even go five minutes without thinking about how your actions will affect your future.

Noticing your sudden shift in energy, Sasha tried to lighten the mood. "Hey, I didn't mean that you're not fun anymore, it's just your idea of fun has changed a little."

She bent down a little to meet your gaze, snapping you out of your own thoughts but before you can respond a new voice beats you to it.

"You're right Sasha, y/n is a little boring these days. She needs to loosen up a bit and live a little." The voice shouted from down the hall. Heels clicked against the hardwood floor indicating that whoever it is was making their way towards you two.

Before you had time to register who's voice it was your best friend, Hitch, appeared in the doorway. She was also dressed in a crop top and pants set, but hers had a few cutouts on the side, exposing her hips. Her short hair was slightly crimped giving it some dimension while her makeup was giving you Maddy from Euphoria vibes. She looked absolutely stunning, as always.

Your jaw dropped as you looked at the beauty in front of you. "Damn girl, I would totally be offended by what you just said but you look hot as shit so how could I?" You said with a light chuckle.

Hitch smiled and did a little pose before thanking you. "The real question here is why aren't you dressed?"

You raised an eyebrow as you looked back and forth between the two girls. "Me? Since when was I going to this thing?" You asked as you pointed a finger towards your chest.

"Since now! Now go get dressed. We're leaving in 20 with or without you." Hitch said as she pushed you into your room. "And it better not be without, or else!" She added before slamming your door shut.

"Well damn, guess there goes my plans for the night" you thought to yourself as you made your way over toward your closet.

You hate to admit it but you were actually really glad the girls were dragging you along tonight, no matter how illegal it may be. It's been so long since you've done anything for yourself without thinking about college that you forgot what it was like to live.

After quickly looking through your closet you found a cute crop top with a connected choker, matching black and grey pants, and black doc martens to complete the look. You threw on your outfit and rushed over to your vanity. You quickly thanked the heavens that you straightened your hair earlier this morning since you didn't have time to do it now. After brushing through your hair a final time you put on some light makeup and some red lipstick to make your lips pop.

Giving one last look in the mirror you thought to yourself "damn I look kinda hot." Grabbing your Ari by Ariana Grande perfume, you gave yourself a few squirts all over your clothes and rushed out the door.

Sasha texted you to meet them down by the cars because Jean and Connie were already outside waiting. Hitch also texted you and said that she was driving over with Marlowe. You chuckled and rolled your eyes because you knew that meant she probably wanted to have sex before going since that's all the two ever did. You texted her back telling her to be safe and that you would meet her there. As you locked the door to your apartment and walked down the stairs you were greeted with Sasha and Connie arguing over who gets to sit in the passenger seat.

"You can't sit up there cause I already called shotgun. Suck it up and sit in the back with y/n." Connie exclaimed as he tried to pull Sasha away from running to the car. You smiled at Connie's outfit. It was his typical style of a baggy shirt with baggy pants and sneakers, but the flowers stitched onto the pants added a nice subtle touch.

"You always sit up front let someone else have a turn for once." Sasha screamed back but was shortly caught off guard by your appearance.

The girl gasped loudly before yelling "Bitch, you're fucking styling! Let's goooo!" She snapped her fingers trying to hype you up as she ran towards you to get a better look at your outfit.

Connie took this chance to run to the car to get to the front seat while Sasha was preoccupied. Jean watched from the front of the Malibu, leaning against the hood, and rolled his eyes at the boy's behavior. He chuckled to himself as he made his way over to the two of you.

When he finally was in your view you silently did a double take. Jean has been one of your best friends since you were little so dating him has always been out of the question due to your sibling like relationship, but you do have to admit that he looked damn good tonight. He wore a half and half black and white t-shirt with black joggers with a pair of chunky white sneakers and a silver necklace. You silently wondered if everyone going to the race tonight normally dressed like this or if you guys were all just too hot.

"Shit, y/n, is that really you? Trying to get laid tonight or something?" Jean suggested as he looked you up and down.

You sent him a quick glare before scoffing. "Yeah right, I'm just here to watch some cars go vroom vroom and not end up in jail."

Sasha and Jean shared a look but before you had time to question it Jean was ushering you two to the car muttering something about you being late if we wait around any longer.

The car ride over to the garage was fairly quick but Connie's playlist definitely did hype you all up. As you and Sasha were screaming the lyrics to "In The Night" by The Weekend, Connie pulled out a container from a bag upfront. You peered over the seat to get a better look but Sasha's hair kept hitting you in the face.

Almost like he could read your mind Jean practically answered your question as to what Connie was doing by saying "dude, at least wait until we get there to start rolling. I don't want you spilling in my car."

You raised you eyebrows before saying "oh shit we're smoking tonight too? It's just like old times." You smiled as you leaned back into the seat and waited for Jean to arrive at the place.

Nearly 10 minutes later Jean pulled into a parking spot on the side of the road and said that they shouldn't park inside the garage in case the cops come so you can make an easy escape.

After Connie was done rolling the blunt he passed it to Jean indicating that he should light it. Jean lit it and took two deep hits before passing it to you. "Here's to having way to much fun tonight." He said as you grabbed the blunt before slowly bringing it to you lips, letting your lungs inhale the smoke. You took another hit before passing it to Sasha who passed it back to Connie when she was done. You all passed it around once more before Jean put it out.

Out of curiosity you asked "so when does the race even start?" Jean looked at his phone and said "not for another hour but we wanted to get here early to talk to everyone."

The four of you vacated the car and walked down the block towards a large parking garage. From the outside it seemed to only have four floors so you figured there were more underground in order for it to be big enough to have a race at.

As you approached the stairs by the entrance your nerves started to get the better of you and you began picking at your nails, something you did when you were nervous. Sasha noticed this and instantly grabbed your hand with a heartfelt smile.

"Don't worry, everyone here is really chill. They'll like you." She said to you as you walked down the stairs to the lower levels. "Besides if no one else likes you that means more for me!" She added before grabbing your hand again to run faster down the stairs.

As you reached the bottom of the stairs the smell of weed and gasoline filled your nose, causing you to take a step back. Your eyes finally adjusted to the difference in lighting as you looked up to see crowds of people all spread out but somehow still all in their own separate groups. You noticed a few cars parked along the walls but none of them seemed to be racing cars. You figured that meant the racers weren't here yet.

Before you had anymore time to scope out the environment Sasha and Connie each grabbed one of your arms and dragged you forward, startling you. You allowed them to keep hold on your arms since it seemed like they knew where they were going.

They weaved through the crowd dragging you towards the back wall where a smaller group seemed to be relaxing at. As you all approached the group a boy with short blonde hair and bright blue eyes waved over with a smile.

"Hey guys! I'm so glad you all could make it!" He beamed looking at Sasha, Connie, and Jean before making eye contact with you. His eyes widened for a second before reaching his hand out for you to take. You slowly shook his hand as he introduced himself.

"Hello, I'm Armin. You must be y/n. I've heard a lot about you from these guys." Armin said he has playfuly elbowed Connie who was standing next to him now. Of course you have only just met him but something about his presence automatically calmed you down. Whether it be his welcoming smile or his adorable yet stylish outfit, you somehow felt like you could trust him with your life. Either that or the weed was finally starting to kick in and relax you.

You smiled back at the boy's politeness. "All good things I hope." You jokingly said with a hint of amusement in your voice. You couldn't help but smile knowing that your small group of friends loved you that much to the point were they have mentioned you to others.

"Eh, you get whatcha get." Jean said with a straight face which caused you to send a glare his way even through you knew he was joking.

Armin lightly chuckled before letting go of your hand to wave you over towards the others. "Come meet the others. They're all excited to meet you too."

You followed Armin and turned around to see if any of your friends were following too but to your disappointment they all stood there conversing with one another. You gulped in nervousness just knowing that you were about to meet new people without the help of your friends, but you knew you would be fine. After all Armin did say they were excited to meet you so how bad could it be?

As you followed Armin into the back corner you noticed a door that lead to a private room. As you two approached that door you heard yelling for the other side. Armin turned back offering you a slightly embarrassed smile before opening and holding the door for you.

You walked into a room that looked almost identical to a gym locker room but instead of it smelling funky like it normal would it smelt of lavender and a hint of bleach.

You noticed three figures in the room. Two seemed to be arguing over something, hence the yelling heard outside, while the other was seated on the bench with a straight look on her face.

"Oh come on Levi, please let me do it just this once! I promise I'll never ask again. I think matching t-shirts would look adorable for the team." The woman pleaded to the shorter man who seemed very annoyed with what it was she was asking. The man, who you guessed was named Levi, quickly continued to argue with the woman.

Armin seemed completely unfazed by the argument presented in front of him because he motioned you towards the young lady sitting on the bench. Not only was her whole aura intimidating but her outfit definitely added to that. She wore a black crop top tank top with red cargo pants and fishnets that covered most of her body all the way down to her heels.

"Fuck she's hot. Definitely not intimidating at all. Not one bit." You thought to yourself.

The girl looked up at Armin before making eye connect with you. Armin spoke up and said "Mikasa this is y/n, you know the one Jean and them all talk about."

With the mention of Jean's name she slightly blushed but looked away to try and hide it. She quickly composed herself before smiling up at you and saying "hi, I'm Mikasa. It's nice to meet you."

After casually chatting with the two of them for a little bit you soon realized that Mikasa was actually a really sweet girl. She definitely is more closed off and reserved but throughout your whole conversation she made you feel like you were already best friends with her, which is something you greatly appreciate.

As Armin was explaining to you his plans to go deep sea diving in Australia next month you saw the light shine in his eyes. You could tell he was really passionate about this and honestly you were really excited for him.

"There's this one seashell that can only be found in the waters off the coast of Sydney so I'm hoping I get the chance to swi-"

CLAP

A loud noise echoed through the locker room cutting Armin off from his story. The three of you looked up to see Levi crossing his arms with a straight face. You're normally really good at reading people's faces but Levi is a different story. You can't even tell if the man is angry or just plain annoyed.

Eventually he speaks up. "You three, get out. Eren needs to get ready before his race and he's doesn't need any destructions around."

Mikasa and Armin automatically got up and headed towards the exit, but before Armin could leave you ask him if there was a bathroom nearby so you could freshen up.

"Oh yeah, there's one outside but you probably wouldn't want to use that one." He said with a disgusted face. "You can use the nice one in here. It's the one we all use so it's pretty clean."

You thanked him while he pointed to a door down the hall. He soon left you to do your business and before leaving the restroom you decided to touch up your lipstick since some of it had worn off already. Once you were done you exited the bathroom and headed back towards the exit to meet up with your friends again.

You noticed a new figure sitting on the bench where Mikasa was prior to her leaving. Even though he was sitting you can tell he was pretty tall with a muscular build. His dark brown hair was pulled up into a messy bun with some pieces framing his face. You also noticed that his outfit was somewhat similar to the one Jean wore but in this case the mystery man wore all black, which you found slightly attractive for some reason. From the angle he was sitting you couldn't really see his face.

Almost like he was reading your mind, he suddenly turned towards you and made direct eye contact. His piercing blue green eyes stared intensely into your e/c. The two of you just stared at each other without saying a word. The man's eyes slowly traveled up and down your figure then back to your eyes where they remained with his strong eye contact.

"Gosh this is awkward" you thought to yourself. Then suddenly it clicked who this must be. Levi mentioned something about an Eren needing space to get ready, so could this be him?

Eventually you excused yourself without saying another word to him. "Why didn't I at least say him? God what is wrong with me?" You thought to yourself as you exit the locker room.

As you walked back to your friends your heart skipped a beat thinking about the man you left inside. You can't put your finger on it but you definitely felt some type of connection just by looking at him. Imagine how you're gonna act when you have to speak to him. You barely even met him and he's already having an effect on you.

"This is gonna be a long night" you said to yourself.

"Hey, there you are! We've been looking all over for you. The race is about to start soon." Sasha said as she rushed over towards you. The others seemed to be in deep conversation so they didn't really notice your presence just yet.

You smiled at your best friend before building up the courage to ask her about Eren. You figured she would know at least a little more about him so it can't hurt to ask her opinion on him.

"You know Eren right?" You asked trying to be as nonchalant as possible.

"Of course I do! We go way back. Connie and I met him in high school after we all got detention." She said reminiscing on old times. "Why do you ask?" She added after a while with a smirk on her face.

"No reason. I just saw him in the locker room and he seems nice." You muttered quietly, trying to play it off as cool as you can.

Sasha knew you though and saw right through your facade. "You think he's hot don't you?" Her elbow hit against your arm in an effort for you to open up.

You lied through your teeth. "I just met the dude Sasha! How could I be attracted to him already when I barely even know him?" You sighed at your failed attempt at convincing her.

Sasha just stared at you with her arms crossed, not believing a word you were saying. She knew you never asked about guys before meeting them so you figured something must be going on in your brain. With one last look from her you finally gave in and confessed.

"Fine, he's not bad looking" you admitted to Sasha, who was now looking at you with an I told you face. "But that doesn't mean I'm gonna try anything. I was just curious to know what he's likes, that's all." You added on.

"I've known Eren for years and I've never seen him with a girl before. Believe or not but that tough guy exterior is just an act. He's actually a big softie." The young girl said before her eyes shot open. "But don't tell him I said that or he'll kill me." She added on.

The two of you shared a laugh while Sasha continued. "You should talk to him. I can totally see you two hitting it off." She suggested.

Unsure by her statement you said "I don't know, Sasha. What if he doesn't like me back? I'm not really in the mood to embarrass myself tonight. I came to have fun, remember?"

You noticed her attention was elsewhere and before you could ask her what she was looking at she said with a smile "I don't think that's going to be an issue since he's staring right at you."

You quickly whip your head around to see that she was correct, Eren was staring directly at you while leaning against his sports car, like he was checking you out again. Once you two made eye contact from across the parking garage he gave you a confident smile and waved his hand, calling you over to him.

Before you knew it Sasha pushed you forward towards him while whispering in your ear. "I told you he likes you! Now go and don't come back until you at least have his number or something."

You glanced back a final time at her as she gave you an encouraging smile. That was all that was required to give you the confidence you needed.

Bad bitch mode is initiated

Suddenly you had this new, unexpected wave of confidence and you used it to your advantage by walking over to Eren in the most casual, yet sexy way you could think of. Apparently something you were doing was right because Eren watched you very intently, not once taking his eyes off of you. As you approached him you gave him a subtle, but sweet smile that he returned.

"Hey, darling, I didn't get to properly introduce myself earlier." He said while extending his hand. "The names Eren Jaeger. You must be the wonderful y/n everyone is talking about. I must say, you look absolutely stunning."

Fuck.

Compliments and nicknames are my weaknesses, and he's really starting off with both. Great.

You blushed but refused to give him all the power. "Thanks, you're not too bad looking yourself." You said with a wink.

"I heard this is your first race. Wanna check out this baby?" Eren said while slapping a hand against the hood of his black car.

Your eyes lit up with excitement, even though you know nothing when it came to cars. All you knew was that his car looked very expensive and he looked damn good leaning against it.

He then grabbed your wrist, softly dragging you away from the hood so you could get a better look. "I don't know how much you know about cars but she's a 2020 SF90 Stradale." He explained while jerking his head towards the vehicle.

"I'm not gonna lie I don't really know what that means but this is definitely a badass car." You walked up to the side, running your hand against the door.

Eren smiled. "I bet it would look even more badass with you riding shotgun during the race." He smoothly suggested while raising an eyebrow, waiting for a response from you.

Your eyes immediately lit up. "Oh my god, can I? Is that allowed?" You asked.

He chuckled while grabbing your hand, giving you subtle butterflies. "Oh course it is. Come on, it should be starting in a few minutes." Eren said and he opened the passenger door for you. You thanked him as he shut your door.

You watched Eren from inside the car as he spoke to Levi for a few minutes. You figured they were discussing strategies or whatever for the race. Suddenly a car pulled up next to you and rolled down its windows. You figured this was whoever Eren was suppose to be racing based off of Eren's sudden scowl. It was impossible to see who the driver was, but you figured if it was someone important Eren would tell you.

Not even ten seconds later the car drove off up to the starting line, leaving Eren standing alone with an irritated look on his face. His expression immediately softened though once entering the driver's seat as he looked at you.

"Is that who you're racing?" You asked, followed by a nod from Eren."I'm guessing you two have some bad blood then based off your body language."

Eren let out a frustrated sigh while gripping the wheel. "That's my brother. Let's just say we've never been on good terms so this race is an important one."

Eren started the car and grabbed the shift getting ready to put it into drive, but before he could, you casually put your hand over his trying to calm him down. He glanced over with a confused face but it softened once he noticed your worried expression.

"Obviously I don't know the history between you two but I do know you're absolutely gonna crush him as long as you calm down. You got this." You said with an encouraging smile. Eren smiled back in relief and shifted into drive allowing the vehicle to drift forward towards the starting line.

Of course you didn't know if Eren was gonna win. You had just met him so you had no idea if he was even a good racer, but you had a feeling he knows what he's doing. He gives off this energy that is very similar to Armin's; you feel like you can trust him, which is why you easily ended up in the passenger seat for an illegal street race.

"Oh shit, I forgot how illegal this is. What if the cops show up? Will Sasha, Jean, and Connie leave me? So much for our escape plan." You thought to yourself but quickly pushed those thoughts to the back of your head.

Tonight was all about having fun and bringing back the old you. The you that couldn't give two shits about if something was illegal or not. The you that did whatever the fuck she wanted just because she wanted to. And that started with getting closer to Eren. Ironically, you had no idea that just in a few hours you would be the definition of "close" to him.

Eren seemed to notice you in deep thought and muttered "don't worry, I'm not gonna kill you. We're just gonna have some fun." He followed it with a wink that would totally make your knees weak if you weren't already sitting down.

You turned your focus back onto the road in front of you where a tiny, blonde girl with bright blue eyes and pig tails was holding two flags. "Are you boys ready?" She asked, a little giggle escaping her lips in the process.

The two brothers turned towards each other and glared for a solid five seconds. The tension was through the roof and they haven't even said a word out loud to each other yet. After their little moment they both focused their eyes on the road and nodded towards the girl.

"Ready..."

The girl lifted her arms while holding the flags. A small gasp escaped your lips as Eren revved his car's engine. Impulsively, Eren grabbed your thigh with his right hand to try to calm you down, flashing you a brilliant smile before turning his attention back to the road.

"Set..."

Everything seemed to be happening in slow motion. One second you were getting high with your friends in Jean's car then the next you heard the three of them cheering from outside Eren's. Tonight was definitely going down in the history books for you.

"Go!"

And with that, tires screeched against the concrete floor and screams from the spectators roared throughout the abandoned building. Your head slightly flew back against the headrest from Eren slamming on the gas.

You looked over at Eren who had a concentrated look on his face but contradicted the seriousness with a goofy smile rested upon his lips.

Damn, what did I get myself into?
