PLL - Unova Time, yeah!
Hanna Marin and her BFF Aria Montgomery are both 10 years old and ready to get their own very first starter Pokémon.
Unfortunately for them, so is another girl.
The name of this girl is Alison DiLaurentis.
Alison used to be friends with Hanna and Aria, but last year she started to be a bully to them.
Now she's their rival in almost everything.
"Time to get up, little Hanna. It's your big day." says Hanna's mom Ashley Marin as she enter Hanna's room.
"Big day?" says a confused Hanna as slowly open her eyes and sit up in bed.
"Yes, girl. Today's the day when you'll finally get your own Pokémon and start to travel the region on your own without mommy." says Ashley.
"Oh, yes! Soooo cool, yay!" says a happy and excited Hanna.
"Good, there's my little cutie Hanna." says Ashley, glad to see Hanna smile.
Hanna jump out from bed and put on her favorite clothes.
"I've packed your bag." says Ashley. "Extra clothes and panties, your cute book, a cozy blanket for nights and nap-time, a bottle of the soft fruity drink you love, a flashligh to see at night and your plushie toy so you'll never get afraid."
"Awww! Thanks, mommy!" says Hanna. "I am sooooo happy!"
"My little kid's already gonna head out into the big raw world on her own...my Hanna." says Ashley as she cry, being both happy and worried at the same exact time.
"Don't worry, mommy. Me big kid now. Pokémon trainers can do stuff on their own." says Hanna.
"Good luck, little Hanna." says Ashley.
Hanna swing her bag onto her bag and put on her hat.
She then put on her shoes, hug her mommy and leave.
Feeling very happy, Hanna walk towards Professor Ebony's lab, which is in the same small town of Rosewood as where Hanna and her mom live.
"Welcome, girl." says Professor Eva Ebony when Hanna get to the lab.
"Thanks." says Hanna.
"I assume you're here to recieve a Poké´mon. Am I correct?" says Professor Ebony.
"Yeah. Me want my starter." says Hanna.
"Eat poop, Hanna! Me will take the best one." says Alison as she suddenly show up and phs Hanna to the side.
Alison is very rude as if Hanna was less than a human in her eyes.
"Calm down, girl." says Professor Ebony.
"Yes, lady." says Alison, faking being a good girl.
7 minutes later, Aria arrive too.
"Now, let's get you each a starter." says Professor Ebony.
Hanna want Tepig.
She is about to pick it when Alison suddenly says "Mine!" and grab the Tepig's Poké Ball.
"Hey! Me wanted that..." says Hanna.
"Too bad, loser-kid. It's my Tepig. You suck!" says Alison, sassy and rude.
"Uh...me take this." says Hanna as she pick Snivy.
She know this one's weak against a Tepig.
Hanna doesn't want an Oshawott, so Snivy is the only choice.
"I take this one." says Aria as she pick Oshawott.
"Each of you has her first Pokémon. Take these, some Poké Balls and your Pokedexes." says Professor Ebony.
"Don't get your diaper in a twist, Hanna! Me is gonna catch more awesome Pokémon and get my first badge before you've even had your lame lunch-time fart." says Alison as she run out and away to begin her life as a trainer.
Hanna is not happy anymore.
Sure, she has her first Pokémon, but it's not the one she wanted.
Evil Alison took it.
Hanna cry a bit.
Aria wipe away some of Hanna's tears and gives Hanna a sweet hug.
Being a good buddy to Hanna, Aria wanna comfort Hanna and Hanna like that.
"Good luck, Hanna-Boo." says Aria and then leave.
New trainers aren't allowed to travel together so Aria and Hanna has to part ways.
"Me wanted flaming Tepig...not weird-nosed Grass thing..." says Hanna.
"I'm very sorry, Hanna. I don't have another Tepig. You can of course wait, but that'd mean you won't get your Pokémon until next year." says Professor Ebony.
"No, me wanna be trainer now!" says Hanna.
"Then you and Snivy has to learn to be buddies." says Professor Ebony.
"Okay. Guess me can love weird-nose Grass thing." says Hanna, trying to be less childish than she often is.
Hanna is less mature than other kids of her age, being a couple years behind in her mind, soul and heart, but not in body.
She put Snivy's ball in her bag and then leave to start her journey.
"Slimey, you and me are gonna become world's coolest trainer and Pokémon. Yay." says Hanna.
Hanna says 'Slimey' instead of 'Snivy' since she cannot really pronounce the name 'Snivy' correctly.
Not much later ( only like 20 minutes later ) Hanna sees a small wild Pokémon in the thick grass.
"Oh, it's a Patrat...!" says an excited Hanna.
This is her first chance to show her skills as a trainer and take the first little step towards becoming a Pokémon Master.
"Alright. Go, Slimey!" says Hanna as she throw Snivy's ball and summon her starter.
Snivy is very sweet and follow Hanna's orders, despite her saying its name wrong.
"Use Tackle!" says Hanna.
Snivy use Tackle on the Patrat.
"Awesome! Go, ball...yeah!" says Hanna as she throw a ball to try and catch the Patrat.
It works.
"Soooo dang awesome! We got out very first catchie!" says a happy Hanna.
The fact that Snivy helped Hanna with this makes Hanna like Snivy a bit more.
The Patrat is only level 2, but Hanna is still happy, since she caught her first wild Pokémon, which not every new trainer does.
Many new trainers fail their first attempt at catching a wild Pokémon for the first time.
"Slimey...return." says Hanna, calling Snivy back into its ball.
Hanna walk through the forest.
"Lil' weird Slimey, we got a catchie, a lil' Patrat one. Step one so done." says Hanna, all cute and childish.
Hanna hope to soon find something more to catch.
2 hours later, Hanna sees a Pidove land nearby.
"Awww! Such a cutie birdie. Let's go...c'mon Slimey!" says Hanna as she call out her Snivy.
Snivy tries to tackle the Pidove, but the Pidove is faster than Snivy.
"No!" says Hanna.
Pidove attacks, doing a lot of damage to Snivy.
"No...Slimey!" says Hanna.
Snivy can barely stand up.
"Stupid, stupid birdie!" says Hanna, no longer thinking that the Pidove is cute.
Hanna grab a small rock and throw it at the Pidove.
This makes the Pidove angry.
Hanna call back Snivy and then run, afraid of the Pidove.
After half an hour the Pidove gives up, leaving Hanna alone.
"Oh my poop! We got away from the angry birdie-freak." says Hanna.
She sit down under a tree.
Then she release Snivy from its ball.
"Hi, lil' Slimey. Here, eat. Yum, yum." says Hanna as she give Snivy some poké-food.
50 minutes later.
"Loser-Hanna, I challenge you to a Pokémon-battle!" says Alison as she show up.
"Alright, Ali." says Hanna.
"Go, Tepig!" says Alison as she call forth her starter.
"Go, Slimey!" says Hanna.
Snivy jump in from the side.
"Lame! Your starter's named Snivy, not Slimey." says Alison, teasing Hanna for not being able to say Snivy.
"Eat poop, Alison! Slimey, use Tackle." says Hanna.
"Tepig! Use Ember, attack!" says Alison.
Tepig burn Snivy.
"No!" says Hanna when she discover that Snivy is weak to Fire.
"You don't even understand the type matchups." says Alison, being rude and sassy.
"Slimey, return! Go, Playrat." says Hanna as she switch from Snivy to Patrat.
Hanna has nicknamed her Patrat as Playrat.
"You're usin' a Patrat? So lame. That thing is sooo weak." says Alison.
"Playrat is cute." says Hanna.
"Cuteness never wins battles. Tepig...go." says Alison.
Tepig knocks out Patrat.
"Bring out your next Pokémon." says Alison.
"What? I only have Slimey and Playrat." says Hanna.
"Just two weak ones? That's so lame. Typical for a lil' poop-girl like you. Bye." says Alison as she call back her tepig and then walk away.
Hanna is sad that she lost against her rival Alison.
Hanna call her Patrat back and then goes to search for a Pokémon Center.
Lucky for her she finds one after only 14 minutes.
She enter the Pokémon Center and walk up to the main counter.
"Nurse Joy, please help my cutie Pokémon. Alison hurt them." says Hanna.
"Don't worry. I'll heal your Pokémon, girl." says Nurse Joy.
Hanna gives the balls that hold Snivy and Patrat to Nurse Joy.
She then wait in the waiting-area while Nurse Joy treat the 2 little Pokémon.
"Me should phone home to mommy..." says Hanna when she notice one of the video-phones that trainers can use for free.
Being a trainer now, Hanna should be ready to do stuff on her own without her mommy, but Hanna is not fully ready.
She takes a seat by the video-phone and dial the number for home.
"Hi, this is at the marin house." says Ashley when she sees that someone call.
"Hi, mom. It's Hanna." says Hanna.
"Oh...little Hanna. Are you okay?" says Ashley.
"Not really. Evil Ali knocked out my cutie Pokémon in my first real battle. Little Slimey and little Playrat got hurt a lot. Me is here at Pokémon Center." says a sad Hanna.
"Don't worry, Hanna. Things will be fine. I've faith in you and I think you can be a good trainer. What Pokémon did you get?" says Ashley.
"Me got Slimey, the lil' Grass-type. Me also caught a Patrat that me call Playrat. It's so cute." says Hanna.
"I'm proud of you, Hanna. You caught a Pokémon yourself. Sure, a Patrat isn't hard to catch, but even so you did a great job. Some new trainers go a bit with only their starter." says Ashley.
"Okay. Me is worried. I hope Slimey and Playrat's gonna be fine." says Hanna.
"I'm sure Nurse Joy can help your Snivy and Patrat, girl." says Ashley.
"Thanks, mommy." says Hanna.
"Did you see any other Pokémon so far?" says Ashley.
"Me met that peep-bird. Not sure what it's called. I failed to catch it. It was very rude to me and Slimey." says Hanna.
"Peep-bird...?" sasy Ashley.
"Yeah. The small gray one with stare-eyes." says Hanna.
"Oh, a Pidove." says Ashley.
"Uh...yeah. It was a bully to me." says Hanna.
"I'm sure it'll go better with your next wild encounter." says Ashley.
"Me hope so..." says Hanna.
"You shouldn't give up already." says Ashley.
"Alright, mommy." says Hanna.
"Good luck, Hanna. You're a trainer now. You don't need me for everything anymore. Remember to eat and drink on a regular basis and poop and pee when you need to." says Ashley.
"Yes, mommy. Bye." says Hanna and then ends the phone call.
Hanna feel a little better now.
50 minutes later.
"Your Pokémon are healthy again." says Nurse Joy as she walk up to Hanna and gives Snivy's and Patrat's balls back to Hanna.
"Awww! Thanks so much." says a happy Hanna.
"No problem." says Nurse Joy.
"Me is gonna continue now." says Hanna and then she leave the Pokémon Center.
2 hours later, Hanna sees a wild Sunkern.
Snivy is already Grass-type, but Hanna think Sunkern is so cute so she wanna catch it anyways.
"Alright. Go, Playrat." says Hanna as she call out her Patrat.
Patrat attack Sunkern and knock it out.
"Yay! Go, Poké Ball." says Hanna as she throw a Poké Ball.
The Sunkern stay in the ball.
"Awesome! Playrat, we got another catchie. And it's a very cute Sunkern." says a happy Hanna.
Hanna sees a Pidove, but she hate Pidove now after what the other Pidove did.
She call back Patrat and continues to walk.
"Oh...!" says Hanna when she sees a Pokémon she doesn't know what it is.
It's a Purrloin, but it run away before Hanna can try to catch it.
4 hours later, Hanna reach a small village.
"Me is tired kid now." says Hanna.
She walk to the local Pokémon Center.
Nurse Joy gives Hanna food and a room-key.
Hanna's Pokémon get healed while Hanna eat dinner.
"So much fun. I got a lil' Sunkern." says a happy Hanna.
Being less mature than other kids her age, Hanna love Pokémon that are cute, not ones that are strong.
Yes, Hanna wanna be a powerful trainer, but she is so childish that she only like cute Pokémon.
At least those that are cute in her opinion.
She like Patrat, even though most other people think Patrat is stupid.
"Yum, yum!" says Hanna, who like the food Nurse Joy gave her.
Hanna smile in adorable joy.
Aria enter the room.
"Oh...hi, Han." says Aria, happy to see that Hanna is here too.
"Hi, Aria." says Hanna, happy to see her bestie.
"Did ya get any new Pokémon on the way here?" says Aria.
"Yeah, me caught a lil' Playrat and a Sunkern. Slimey and me failed a birdie namnam though..." says Hanna.
"What happened...?" says Aria.
"Birdie was not nice. It attacked too hard." says Hanna.
"Okay. I got one. C'mon out, Dudu." says Aria as she call out her Pidove that she caught.
"Sweet. You have a birdie namnam." says Hanna.
"Yup. And I also have these too." says Aria as she call out a Purrloin, a Sewaddle and a Lillipup.
"Awww! Soooo cutie-cute!" says Hanna, seeing Aria's female Lillipup.
"Yes. My lil' dog-Pokémon is cute. I named it Sweetiepup." says Aria.
"I wish I had one too." says Hanna.
"Catchin' one's not too hard so you can do it." says Aria.
"Yeah, but I didn't see any." says Hanna.
"That means I was lucky." says Aria.
"Cool." says Hanna.
"Return, guys." says Aria, calling her Pokémon back into their balls.
"Have you battled Ali...?" says Hanna.
"I have and I won." says Aria.
"Me battled her too, but me lost..." says Hanna.
"Awww, Hanna!" says Aria, doing her best to comfort Hanna, since she and Hanna are besties.
"Good that Ali isn't here." says Hanna.
"Yeah, me think so too, Hanna." says Aria.
Alison is ahead of Hanna and Aria, being already in a city that Hanna and Aria haven't reached yet.
"Your Pokémon are back to full health." says Nurse Joy as she give back Hanna's Pokémon to Hanna.
"Thanks, nurse." says Hanna.
"Can ya look at my Pokémon now?" says Aria.
"Sure, sweetie." says Nurse Joy.
"Thanks." says Aria.
The next day.
Hanna wakes up.
She finds a note from Aria who has laready left.
The note says "Han, my bestie. Me has left. Good luck. Big kiss from Aria." and is written in Aria's sweet handwriting.
"Awww!" says Hanna, all cute.
When she's had breakfast and pooped, Hanna leave to continue.
3 hours later.
Hanna sees a Lillipup and this makes her happy because she really want one for her team.
"Yay! Go, Slimey!" says Hanna, calling out Snivy, since she think that Playrat is too weak to fight, which is true.
Snivy attack the Lillipup.
"No...Slimey, use Vine Whip!" says Hanna.
Snivy's Vine Whip defeats the Lillipup.
"Awesome, little Slimey! Poké Ball...go!" says Hanna and then throw a ball.
The Lillipup break free and the ball bounce back into Hanna's hands.
"Please, pup-pup...stay in my Poké Ball." says Hanna as she throw the ball again.
This time it works.
"Yay! Soooo awesome! Another catchie and it is a pup-pup." says Hanna, happy to get the Lillipup she wanted.
She think that Lillipup is a very cute Pokémon and has thought so since she saw one on TV when she was a little 5 year old girl.
"Slimey, thanks for helping me get a pup-pup!" says Hanna.
Snivy smile, having become pretty good friends with Hanna by now.
Hanna call Snivy back into its ball.
3 hours later.
"Battle me!" says a female kid as she step ut in front of Hanna.
"Okay. Cool." says Hanna.
The other girl is the same age as Hanna.
"Alright...go, Playrat." says Hanna, calling out Playrat.
"Go, Nidoran!" says the other girl as she call out a female Nidoran.
"Wow! That's a girl-Nidoran. Cute!" says Hanna.
"Nidoran, use your horn!" says the other girl.
"Playrat, avoid..." says Hanna.
Since it is fast, Playrat manage to avoid Nidoran's horn.
"Yay!" says Hanna, happy that Playrat didn't get hit by the horn.
"Again!" says the other girl.
Nidoran tries to hit Playrat, but Playrat manage to avoid.
"Playrat, use Bite!" says Hanna.
Playrat use Bite, which knocks out the Nidoran.
The other girl call back her Nidoran and tell Hanna that she has no more Pokémon.
Hanna get very happy, since she won her first battle now.
The next day.
"Awww! You're so cute." says Hanna as she hug Playrat.
Playrat seem to like that Hanna hug it.
"Come out, pup-pup." says Hanna, calling out her Lillipup.
Hanna decides that Pup-Pup will be her Lillipup's name.
"Yay! You are adorable." says Hanna.
Pup-Pup is happy.
Hanna is happy too.
5 hours later, Hanna has caught another little Pokémon.
All the Pokémon that Hanna has are small and cute.
She's only able to catch small Pokémon.
"Yay! Another catchie!" says a happy Hanna.
Snivy is happy too. It was the one Hanna used to battle the wild Pokémon.
2 days later.
"Oh, the regional Pokémon tournament. Cool." says Hanna, seeing aposter on the wall of a diner.
Unfortunately Alison show up and says "Little Loser-Hanna, ya can never beat a gym leader. I sure hope you know that to be in the regional tournament a trainer must win at least 8 badges." in a rude way, being mean to Hanna.
"No!" says Hanna as she begin to cry.
Alison laugh in a rude sassy way.
"Han, you're too weak." says Alison. "Me is gonna be the ebst trainer ever and you'll be goin' back home to your fat mommy."
"Mommy not fat..." says Hanna. "Be nice!"
"I'm tired of being a sweetie." says Alison and then leave.
Hanna is still crying.
Playrat comes out from its ball, wanting to comfort Hanna.
"Hi, Playrat." says Hanna.
Playrat tries to comfort Hanna a bit.
12 days later.
Snivy reach level 17 and evolve into a Servine and also learn the move Leaf Tornado.
"Wow! Slimey, you evolved." says Hanna.
Servine look angry. Seems as if it no longer like that Hanna call it Slimey.
"Sorry. What is your name?" says Hanna.
Servine is silent.
Hanna check her Pokédex.
"Servine, Grass-type. The evolved form of Snivy." says the Pokédex.
"Okay. Hi, Servine." says Hanna.
Servine get friendly again, being just as sweet as when it was Slimey, the Snivy.
Now that her starter has evolved, Hanna feel ready for her first gym.
"Yay!" says a happy Hanna.
What makes her happy is that her starter evolved.
She starts to train Servine and Playrat, since she plan to use those two during her first gym battle.
Playrat is weak, but Hanna think it's cute so she still wanna use it.
5 days later.
Hanna feel that she and her Pokémon are ready for the first gym.
They travel to Aspertia City, fighting some trainers along the way.
"Okay, here we are, guys." says Hanna to her Pokémon when they finally arrive in Aspertia City.
In her heart, Hanna feel ready to challenge the gym.
She isn't fully ready though, having no idea how tough a gym battle can be.
Hanna think it will be easy.
"Me is Hanna-Boo and me challange you!" says Hanna as she enter the gym.
"Welcome, young trainer. I am Kendra Beckson, the leader of this gym. So, tell me, kid, is this your first gym battle?" says Kendra Beckson, a beautiful attractive 26 year old woman.
"Yeah...first time." says Hanna, no longer so confident when she sees who she has to battle.
"Then let me explain how this works, lil' girl. Gym battles are much harder than regular ones. And there are certain rules. We both use 3 Pokémon each only. No advices from the sideline and no dirty tricks. No time-limits." says Kendra.
Hanna's body shake a bit, since Hanna is nervous.
"Also every gym focus on one type in particular. I use Normal-types, for example." says Kendra.
Hanna tries to be confident as she takes her place on the challenger's side of the battle-arena.
"Okay, kid. Let's begin. Go, Patrat." says Kendra as she call out her shiny Patrat.
"Go, Playrat." says Hanna as she call out Playrat.
"You have one too? Interesting." says Kendra.
"I have one and its name is Playrat." says Hanna.
"With such a childish name it can never win and it looks like your Patrat feel fear." says Kendra and this is true, since Playrat is clearly afraid.
"Playrat, attack!" says Hanna.
Kendra's Patrat counter-attacks and does a lot of damage to Playrat.
"No, my cutie Playrat..." says Hanna.
Playrat is very hurt already, but it still stand up as good as it can, having developed a bond with Hanna and wanna do good for her.
Kendra is surprised that Playrat can still stand up.
"Who knew? Your lil' rat's still able to stand on its feet. No bad for such a young Pokémon." says Kendra.
"C'mon, Playrat." says Hanna.
Using all it's willpower and energy, Playrat run forward and attack Kendra's Patrat.
Playrat only does a small amount of damage, but it's better than nothing.
Playrat faints.
"Challanger's Patrat is unable to battle. Round 1 goes to gym leader Miss Beckson." says the gym judge.
"Go, Servine!" says Hanna as she throw Servine's ball, calling out Servine.
"I should've known you'd have the Grass one. The two kids before you have the Fire and Water ones." says Kendra.
Hanna understand that Alison and Aria have already been here.
"Servine, use Leaf Tornado!" says Hanna.
"Patrat, use Agility!" sasy Kendra.
Kendra's Patrat is pretty fast, but Hanna's Servine is faster and hit with a solid Leaf Tornado.
"Gym leader's Patrat is unable to battle. Second round goes to the young challenger." says the gym judge.
"I admit that your Servine's strong. Though it won't stand a chance against this...go, Herdier!" says Kendra as she call back Patrat and call out Herdier instead.
"Oh, an evolved pup-pup...!" says Hanna, who know what a Herdier is.
Kendra act a bit sassy when she hear how childish Hanna is.
Servine use Leaf Tornado again, but Herdier is very fast and avoids the attack.
"C'mon!" says Hanna.
"Herdier, combo with Agility and Bite!" says Kendra.
Herdier run forward and bites Servine in the neck.
"No!" says Hanna, who hate seeing her Pokémon get hurt.
"If you're gonna be a real trainer you have to get used to the fact that your mon's actually goin' to feel pain in battle, lil' girl." says Kendra.
Hanna tries to be confident.
"Servine, strike back!" says Hanna.
Wanting to do well for Hanna, since it has bonded with her, Servine twist free and attacks Herdier.
Kendra is very surpised when her Herdier is defeated.
"Gym leader's Herdier is unable to battle. The round goes to the young challenger." says the gym judge.
"Alright. Time to bring out this one and it's sure to give me victory." says Kendra as she call out her Pidove.
Hanna gasp in slight fear when she sees a Pidove since she remember too well how that wild Pidove attacked her after she failed to catch it.
"Okay, Pidove. Show your great powers." says Kendra.
Pidove use a powerful Fly, almost knocking out Servine.
"I guess I'll win." says Kendra.
"Servine, don't give up..." says Hanna.
Loking confident and badass, Servine use a very strong Leaf Tornado to defeat Pidove.
"Oh my...not bad. Consider me more than impressed." says Kendra.
"Yay! Servine, we won!" sasy Hanna in pure adorable joy.
She give Servine a hug.
Servine smile, being happy too.
"Like I said, that was not bad. As proof of your win, here's a Basic Badge." says Kendra, giving Hanna a badge.
"Awww! Thanks." says a very happy Hanna.
She's won her first badge and is now a step closer to get equal with her rival Alison.
"Next gym's in Virbank City. Claire Oxidum is the leader there and she's way tougher than me." says Kendra.
"I can win against her." says Hanna, who has her confidence back.
Hanna leave the gym.
She goes to the local Pokémon Center.
There her Pokémon get healed.
2 weeks later.
Hanna enter the Virbank City gym.
Hanna met Aria a few hours ago.
Aria gave Hanna some advice on how to defeat Claire.
"Me is Hanna and I want a battle." says Hanna as she step into the gym.
"If it were up to me, I'd rather not, but as a gym leader I must accpet every challenge, so let's do this, kid." says Claire, who is a pale 29 year old woman with white hair and violet clothes.
"What's the rules?" says Hanna, who now understands that gyms have specific rules.
"3 mon, no time-lmits. No cheating." says Claire.
"Okay." says Hanna.
"Here we go." says Claire as she summon her Koffing.
"Ewww! That thing stinks poop." says Hanna.
"Perhaps so, but it's a powerful Pokémon. Don't judge so easy." says Claire.
"Alright. Go, Servine!" says Hanna, calling out her Servine.
"Koffing. Take down that thing with Sludge." says Claire.
"Servine, show me your speeds!" says Hanna.
Using its high speed, Servine avoids the Sludge.
"Yay! Strike back...Leaf Tornado!" says Hanna.
Koffing is hit, but it get almost no damage.
"Sorry, kid. Posion-types resist Grass attacks." says Claire.

Servine get very hurt.
Suddenly Servine look much stronger than it usually is.
Its eyes glow red.
"OMG, that's Overgrow!" says Hanna, who learned about abilities from Aria.
Hanna is correct, it is indeed Overgrow.
Servine attack Koffing and knocks it out.
"Wow! You're pretty good." says Claire.
"Awww! Thanks!" says a happy Hanna.
Claire call back Koffing and call out her Grimer instead.
"That one stink poop-time too!" says Hanna.
"Just 'cause it stinks doesn't mean it's worthless. Grimer, attack." says Claire.
"Okay. Servine, defend." says Hanna.
Servine is able to block the attack without getting hurt.
"Yay!" says a happy Hanna.
"Luck is all that was. Grimer, show your power." says Claire.
Grimer attack again and this time Servine does get hurt.
Not much, but still.
"Oh, no!" says Hanna.
"I won't make things easy for you." says Claire.
"Me is gonna win!" says Hanna.
"Unlikely. Little kids usually don't do well at my gym." says Claire.
Grimer attack Servine.
"No! Servine, attack!" says Hanna.
Servine tries to fight, but Grimer is stronger.
Hanna hope that Servine's ability will kick in again, but it doesn't.
Grimer knocks out Servine.
"Return! Go, Playrat." says Hanna as she switch from Servine to Playrat.
"That weak mon can never win. Grimer, attack." says Claire.
Hearing this seems to make Playrat angry.
it run forward and attacks Grimer.
Grimer get only a tiny bit of damage.
"You can do this, Playrat." says Hanna.
"With such a childish nickname it can't ever grow up and be strong." says Claire.
"Show her your power, Playrat." says Hanna.
A pink aura suddenly glow on Playrat and it use an attack that knocks out Grimer.
Playrat somehow learned Hidden Power and its Hidden Power type is Psychic, which is why it is Super Effective on Grimer, who is a pure Posion-type.
"Wow! What's that...?" says Hanna.
"Hidden Power Psychic, but I do not know how. Your mon shouldn't be able to have such a move at this level." says Claire.
Claire call out a shiny Alolan Muk.
"Playrat, Hidden Power!" says Hanna.
"Muk, counter with Protect." says Claire.
"Again, Playrat. Hidden Power." says Hanna.
Playrat use Hidden Power.
This does a lot of damage to Muk.
"Playrat, end this! Hidden Power!" says Hanna.
"Nice try. Muk, use Protect." says Claire.
"Fourth time's luck...Hidden Power!" says Hanna.
Playrat knocks out Muk.
"Interesting. You actually won, kid." says Claire.
"Yay!" says a happy Hanna.
"Take this Toxic Badge." says Claire as she gives Hanna a badge.
"Thanks." says Hanna.
"Next gym's in Castelia City. The leader there use Bug-types." sasy Claire.
"Okay." says Hanna.
Hanna travel to Castelia City.
"Playrat, we did it. We won badge 2." says Hanna to Playrat that sit on Hanna's left shoulder.
It is clear that Playrat is happy.
Hanna is happu too, since she got her second badge.
She allow Playrat to be outside its ball as a reward for defeating Muk.
"Me hope we can win basge 3 too." says Hanna.
Playrat agree with Hanna.
Hanna gives Playrat some food.
5 days later, Hanna reach Castelia City.
"Alright, guys. We're here. Time to win our third badge and get a step closer to evil Ali." says Hanna.
When Hanna get to the fym, Aria exit the gym, having just won the badge here.
"Oh...hi, Hanna-Boo. I just won a badge. Good luck." says Aria.
"Yay! Congrats and thank you, Aria." says Hanna.
"I hope ya can win here too, Han." says Aria.
"Sweet." says Hanna.
"See ya another time." says Aria and then leave.
Hanna enter the gym.
"Me is Hanna Marin and me wanna battle for a badge." says Hanna.
"Welcome to Castelia Gym. My name's Robert Watson." says the gym leader.
Hanna is surprised that the gym leader is a man.
"Rules are...?" says Hanna.
"They're very simple. 4 Pokémon per trainer, no time-limits and no cheating." says Robert.
"Awesome. Me is super-ready." says Hanna.
"Sure you are? Here we go. I open with...this!" sasy Robert as he call out his Dwebble.
"Me starts with this one! Go!" says Hanna as she call out Servine.
"Let's see what you can do. Dwebble, use Struggle Bug." says Robert.
"Soooo cute!" says Hanna when she sees Robert's Dwebble.
Hanna think Dwebble are cute.
She's seen some before on TV.
"I guess..." says Robert.
Dwebble's attack does some damage to Servine, but not much.
"Servine, Leaf Tornado!" says Hanna.
Dwebble is knocked out.
"Awww!" says Hanna.
Hanna feel sad about having to attack a Pokémon that she think is cute.
"You're pretty good." says Robert.
"Thanks." says a happy Hanna.
"Or maybe you're very lucky." says Robert.
"Uh...yeah..." says Hanna.
"You beat my Dwebble, but my next mon's much stronger." says Robert as he call out his Shelmet.
"That one's so ugly!" says Hanna.
"Great trainers never judge so quickly. Learn that if you wanna become a true Pokémon Master." says Robert.
Shelmet use Acid.
Servine get hurt.
"No!" says Hanna.
"Shelmet, attack again!" says Robert.
"Return, Servine!" says Hanna, calling back her Servine.
Then she call out Playrat instead.
"My cutie Playrat is gonna battle." says Hanna.
"Sorry, but that mon looks very weak." says Robert.
"Wrong! Playrat is awesome." says Hanna.
"For being a kid's pet maybe, not for battle." says Robert.
"Playrat, attack!" says Hanna.
"Shelmet, attack." says Robert.
"No!" says Hanna when Playrat get very hurt.
"I told you that your little creature is weak." says Robert.
"My Playrat's not weak! Playrat, use Hidden Power!" says Hanna.
"What?" says Robert, being very surprised that Playrat know the move Hidden Power.
Shelmet is knocked out.
"Interesting. Yes, indeed." says Robert as he switch from his Shelmet to his Karrablast.
"Ewww! Ugly creepy Pokémon." says Hanna.
"Be less quick to hudge like that." says Robert.
"C'mon, Playrat...Hidden Power!" says Hanna.
"Karrablast, use Endure!" says Robert.
Robert's Karrablast survives the attack.
"Alright. Strike back with Aerial Ace!" says Robert.
"No...!" says Hanna when Playrat gets knocked out.
Hanna call back Playrat and call out her Pup-Pup.
"Okay, Pup-Pup. Attack!" says Hanna.
"Karrablast, Endure." says Robert.
Robert is lucky.
Once again, Karrablast survives.
"Karrablast, attack!" says Robert.
"Pup-Pup, use Protect." says Hanna.
In secret, Hanna has taught Pup-Pup the move Protect so it can be totally safe some turns, if needed.
"Oh, you're smarter than I thought. Though you'll still lose this." says Robert.
"Me not gonna lose anything! Pup-Pup, attack!" says Hanna.
"Karrablast, use Struggle Bug." says Robert.
Pup-Pup manage to knock out Karrablast.
"Alright." says Robert and switch to his Leavanny, his best Pokémon.
"What that?" says Hanna, who has never seen a Leavanny before.
"It's a Leavanny." says Robert.
"C'mon, Pup-Pup. Attack!" says Hanna.
Despite being lower level, Pup-Pup is able to knock out Leavanny.
"What a surprise. You won. Take a badge, an Insect Badge." says Robert.
"Yay! Thanks!" says a happy Hanna.
"You're welcome. Next gym is in Nimbasa City." says Robert.
"Okay. What type does the leader use?" says Hanna.
"Nicole use Electric-types." says Robert.
