Zane mustered as much strength to bring himself to his knees, and look towards Kaiba with defiance. "How? What did you do that allowed you to beat me?" Kaiba stood over his beaten foe. "Isn't it obvious? While I admit you have skill, I won because unlike you, I gave my cards both my respect and trust." Kaiba only saw irritation on Zane's face. "Don't give that garbage! You sound just like that sentimental fool Jaden Yuki!"
Kaiba simply let out a disappointed sign. "You still haven't learned a thing. Guess I wasn't you destined opponent after all." A confused look came upon Zane's face. "Destined opponent?" "Yes, for every Duelist there's an opponent who will challenge not only their skills, but everything that they believe in. An ultimate rival who will bring out your full potential. You have one too, all you have to find them." A bewildered Zane simply only knelt at the idea. "An ultimate opponent who'll bring out my potential?" Kaib could see the exactment on Zane's face and began to walk away. "We done here."
Kaiba walks out of the warehouse a car is parked outside with a man opening the back door. "Are you ready to go sir?" As Kaiba gets in, he gives a signal that he is. As the car drives off, Kaiba begins thinking about the individual Zane spoke of. "Jaden Yuki." Kaiba remembered that he's currently Duel Academy's top Duelist. He also remembers hearing about him before in a conversation with Maximillion Pegasus only a few days ago.
Pegasus' main card designer, Franz, was angry about Pegasus choosing a new employee's card design over his own. So, in retaliation he entered the Gennex Tournament with the copy of "The Winged Dragon of Ra" that Pegasus had made for testing purposes, that he stole and used a card he made to control it. When Pegasus went to Duel Academy to retrieve it, he met Jaden who Dueled Franz in Pegasus' stead. Pegasus also mention that not only Jaden could also communicate with Duel Monster Spirits, but also played "Elemental Hero Neos", a card that Pegasus hasn't even released yet. But what Kaiba found the most surprising was that Jaden was not only able to take possession of "Ra", but that "Ra" willing followed his commands. Pegasus even compared Jaden's skills and confidence to those of Yugi's.
"Jaden Yuki. Maybe you're the one to show Zane the right path. Just as they shown it to me." As Kaiba looks out to the car window into the night sky and see the images of Yugi, Atem, and Joey, before closing his eyes and gives a slight smile.
