(A/N: Okay, here's a new fic. This one takes place after "Super Mario's Happily Ever After", and it involves another sweet pairing: LuigiXDaisy! I'll get this one started!)

It was a beautiful morning in the Mushroom Kingdom. The sun was rising, and the birds were singing. In fact, the Mushroom Kingdom had been happier ever since Mario and Peach became its rulers. But this story isn't about them. Nope. We should be checking up on Luigi now, so let's go find him.

At Luigi's Mansion, we find Luigi in his bedroom, still asleep. That is, until the digital alarm clock read 6:30 a.m. and the alarm sounded. That woke him up.

"Morning, already? I'm still too tired..." Luigi mumbled, hitting the snooze button and promptly falling back asleep. This was a common thing. Luigi would set his alarm for an early time, but he never seemed to want to get up when the alarm went off.

But Polterpup, who had been sleeping quietly at the foot of the bed, would also be awoken by the alarm, and he never went back to sleep when the alarm clock went off. He'd see Luigi go back to sleep, but the puppy never really allowed him to catch up on his beauty rest.

The dog got up, walked over to the head of the bed, and started licking his master's face to get him to wake up. It never failed.

"Cut that out!" Luigi protested, but he was laughing as he sat up in bed, awake now.

"Good puppy." Luigi said to the dog as he wiped his face with the sleeve of his pajama shirt.

Luigi was actually grateful that he had Polterpup to help wake him. He had something he needed to do today, and he wanted to be up early to get it taken care of.

Today was the day he was going to do it. He was planning to visit Sarasaland. Not just to visit Daisy, but to ask her parents for permission to marry her. You see, Luigi and Daisy had been in a relationship for almost 3 years, and their anniversary was coming up. Plus, Luigi loved Daisy so much that he was wishing they were already married.

He shut off the alarm, went to the bathroom to take his shower, got dressed, and had breakfast. By then the sun was up, and it looked like it was gonna be a great day.

"I hope it's this nice in Sarasaland." Luigi said as he grabbed his suitcase and made his way out the door with Polterpup following him.

This time, instead of taking a train, Luigi was going to get to Sarasaland a lot quicker. When Luigi saved Mario from certain death on his coronation day, Peach rewarded him by installing a couple of warp pipes outside his mansion. One would take him to Mushroom Castle, and the other would take him right to Daisy's Castle in Sarasaland.

(A/N: The reason I mentioned Luigi taking a train is because another author had Daisy travel that way. As for the warp pipes outside the mansion, those were mentioned near the end of the final chapter of "Super Mario's Happily Ever After".)

"Let's go, Doggy!" Luigi said to Polterpup, and they jumped down the pipe that would take them to Sarasaland.

Before Luigi knew it, he emerged at the front entrance of Daisy's Castle, and Polterpup was right behind him.

Luigi knocked on the door, and to his delight, Daisy was the one who answered.

"Hey, you!" Daisy said when she saw Luigi. She gave him a big hug and a kiss, which made him blush like a madman.

"I love you, too, Daisy..." Luigi said, sounding lovesick.

"It's so good to see you, Luigi, and I see you brought Doggy with you." Daisy said.

"I don't like to leave him when I travel. I like to bring him along if I can." Luigi replied.

"I understand. He's a good dog, and a cute one, too." Daisy said, and she knelt down to pet the ghostly puppy, who immediately started licking her face.

"I missed you, too." Daisy said, laughing a little as the puppy gave her doggie kisses.

"Are your parents around?" Luigi asked.

"Yeah, they're in the throne room." Daisy replied, standing back up.

"Okay. I need to speak to them." Luigi said.

"About what?" Daisy asked.

"A matter of great importance." Luigi replied.

Daisy wondered just how important this matter was, but she figured that it was something she'd find out about sooner or later, so she said, "Okay, then. Do you want me to join you?"

"Actually, Daisy, I need to speak to them alone. Without you." Luigi said.

That surprised Daisy. Whenever Luigi had to speak with her parents, he wouldn't go see them unless Daisy was with him. But she figured this matter was incredibly important if he didn't want her with him, so she said, "Okay, then. While you talk to my parents, I'll spend time with Doggy so he's not so lonely."

"Okie-dokie." said Luigi. He looked at Polterpup and said, "Be good for Daisy, okay?"

The dog barked happily, and he was wagging his tail, indicating that he would behave. Any friend of Luigi's was a friend of his.

"Good boy." Luigi said, giving his dog a pat on the head before leaving.

So Daisy took Polterpup outside for a game of fetch.

First, Luigi had to drop off his suitcase, so he made his way upstairs, to his guest room. He'd been here often enough to know where it was. After setting his suitcase in the room, he walked back downstairs, where the throne room was.

As Luigi approached the throne room, he couldn't help feeling a little nervous. He remembered how nervous he was the first time he met Daisy's parents. He would've blacked out from nervousness if Daisy hadn't been with him, holding his hand. In fact, he didn't feel like going near her parents unless she was with him.

But this time, he couldn't have her by his side. He wanted to marry her, but he wanted her to be surprised when he popped the question. If she went with him when he asked her parents for permission to marry her, then it wouldn't be a surprise.

Luigi hoped Daisy's parents would grant him permission to marry their daughter, but he was scared that they just might say no.

"Don't think that way, Luigi! They like you, and they accepted you and Daisy being in a relationship! Just ask them! They'll most likely say yes." Luigi reminded himself as he stood outside the throne room.

Taking a deep breath, Luigi opened the doors to the throne room and slowly walked in.

The King and Queen looked up when they heard the doors open. It surprised them to see Luigi walking in by himself, without Daisy. They'd never seen him come in here alone, without her.

"Excuse me, Your Majesties?" Luigi meekly said as he approached the thrones.

"Luigi! To what do we owe this pleasure?" the Queen asked with a smile.

Luigi bowed before the thrones and said, "Your Majesties, I have come to ask you something very important."

"Ask away." the King replied.

Luigi got even more nervous, 'cause he found himself stuttering as he said, "I have c-c-come... to ask you for... p-permission to... m-m-marry... D-Daisy."

"You want to marry our daughter?" the Queen asked.

"Y-Yes." Luigi replied, looking like he was going to black out from fear.

"Luigi, you don't need to ask us for permission to marry Daisy." the King told him.

"Why n-not?" Luigi asked, afraid that they were going to say that they didn't want him to marry her.

"Because we were hoping you wanted to marry her." the Queen said.

"What?!" Luigi asked, surprised.

"Luigi, ever since Daisy met you, she's been happier than her mother and I have ever seen her. And besides that, you're a Mario Brother, you treat Daisy right, you're as much of a hero as Mario is, you treat us with respect, you're nice to everyone in the castle, and you have a kind heart. You're a good man for her." the King said.

Luigi's fear started to vanish.

"So you're saying... I can marry Daisy?" Luigi asked hopefully.

"Of course you can. Out of all the men she's met, you're the best one for her. And the one she loves the most." the Queen smiled.

"Even I couldn't have picked a better man to be her husband." the King added.

"Thank you! Thank you both so much!" Luigi said, hardly daring to believe that Daisy's parents had just granted him permission to marry their daughter.

Before he left the throne room, he said, "One more thing. Could you please not tell Daisy that I asked for permission to marry her? I want the proposal to be a surprise."

"Our lips are sealed." the King smiled.

"Thanks again." Luigi said, unable to stop smiling. He hadn't felt this happy since the day he found out Daisy returned his feelings.

So Luigi is allowed to marry the girl of his dreams. Will he be able to propose, and if and when he does, will Daisy accept? I can't tell you that! You have to stay tuned in order to see what happens!
