Chapter 7: Sailor Jupiter
Gohan was doing his 4 am exercises inside the gravity chamber as he usually did. As he went through his shadow boxing exercises he looked over at another person that was in the chamber. The teen couldn't help but glance as he watched his little brother try to walk in the advanced gravity. Gohan couldn't help but smirk a bit as his little brother struggle to move. Gohan then went into his kicks as he decided to take his eye off of Goten for the moment.
The little saiyan took labored steps as the gravity weighed down his small body. The little boy was strong, but he wasn't used to the effects of the room as of yet. The boy attempted a punch, but the movements were much more labored. Gritting his teeth, he took step by step while being weighed down. His brother was throwing punches like the gravity was nothing to him. The sight drove Goten forward as he continued to push himself.
"Are you sure it isn't too much Goten?" Gohan asked as he threw more punches and kicks.
"Yeah," Goten said while still gritting his teeth.
"Let me guess...Trunks is training...with his dad...and you want to catch up," Gohan said in a fragmented way to keep a little more concentration on his exercises.
"Yeah..s-say Gohan...can I g-go s-s-uper?" Goten asked.
Gohan stopped at the word super and couldn't help but be taken aback. Could Goten have the means to become a super saiyan. The teen had to think for a moment as curiosity took hold of him. It couldn't be helped that the teenager was skeptical that a child could reach the transformation of Super Saiyan at such a young age. Gohan himself was only 9 or 10 when he transformed and it took a considerable amount of training. The threat on his life by his father when he was blasted with a Kamehameha was needed to trigger the change. Gohan gave the ok for Goten to transform, for his question to be answered.
Goten stood in a wide stance and focused for what was only a split second. A short scream came out of him as his aura became gold, his eyes became green, and his hair went straight up with it changing from black to golden blond. The little boy then ran all over the gravity chamber with a huge grin before doing backflips. The gravity it seems no longer held the boy down.
The older brother however, was flabbergasted. Disbelief couldn't help but cross Gohan's face as he saw his brother transform into what was a saiyan legend. This little boy was now the youngest super saiyan in history. A fact that Gohan had no choice but to accept. The teen shouted his little brother's name, which caused him to stop his overwhelming display of childlike happiness. Gohan then decided to do a little yell of his own and transform into a super saiyan himself.
"So Goten, when did you first become Super Saiyan?" Gohan asked.
"Well I guess when I sparred with mom a bit, she got me good one time and then I turned and kicked her into a tree. She got mad and told me to never transform when she spars with me ever again. I was even called a monster," Goten explained.
"Oh Goten, mom sometimes says stuff she doesn't mean. When she first saw me as a super saiyan she thought I had dyed my hair and joined a gang. Don't take what she says about your super saiyan form too hard," Gohan told his brother. Goten nodded happily at his reply. The older brother then went into a stance and gave his brother a stern look.
"Now Goten, come at me," Gohan ordered. The little guy went into his own stance and launched himself. A punch came out and Gohan had to hurriedly block. The little saiyan then started throwing various strikes faster than the older one has seen from anyone in a while. Gohan was dodging and parrying sure, but since it was much more challenging than anything the Dark Kingdom has thrown at him thus far, it was at least a fair bit more difficult.
Goten then did something else that surprised his sparring partner. He caught Gohan with a hard glancing blow that produced a small cut underneath the eye. Gohan felt the sting of that hit and instinctively punched the little super saiyan flush on the jaw. Goten hit the chamber floor with a thud and now lied on his back. The boy then felt his cheek, and it did cause some pain for him to even touch it.
"Ow Gohan, that hurt!" complained Goten.
"Well Goten, it's a spar. You came at me really good and you caught me. In a fight sometimes you are going to get hit. And besides you are a super saiyan. I know you're tougher than that!" Gohan told the little boy. The little brother took that as motivation to jump to his feet and charge at his older sibling again. The two of them sparred for the rest of the session, only broken up for the breakfast alarm. Both boys powered down to normal, got cleaned up and went for their usual meal.
After breakfast was over both boys went to school. Goten broke away from his brother as he usually does and went his usual route. When Goten stopped at the light, he was bumped into by a boy who looked to be around twelve. Two other boys then surrounded the little kid, smirking and pounding their fists into their hands. The biggest boy then stepped up to the little half saiyan and gave a smirk.
Goten just looked at the three of them with a blank expression. Sure, he knew that those kids couldn't hurt him, but most people would assume the opposite to be true. His brother had always told him that he need not hurt people unnecessarily, but to stand his ground against bullies. The little boy remembered a speech Gohan gave on the subject.
'Don't hurt them too much, but don't be a pushover either,' Goten thought with Gohan's voice in his head.
"Now pipsqueak, hand over your lunch!" ordered the biggest boy.
"Why should I do that?" questioned Goten with that same blank expression. The big boy growled as he stormed toward the little first grader. Behind him, one of the bullies accomplices noticed a woman with brown hair and a light brown school uniform walking toward them at the same speed as the biggest boy was walking.
"Taketo! Angry Giant Woman!" shouted the accomplice. The big boy stopped in his tracks and turned his attention to the tall girl making their way toward them. Taketo stood firm, which flabbergasted the two cronies. The boy then ran toward the mysterious girl, ready to fight. The bully swung his fist at the girl, only for her to dodge and knee him in the gut. The young man doubled over in pain, and to knock him down further she kicked him square on the jaw. The bully fell back flat on his back. The two accomplices ran down the street, for they felt that the 'Angry Giant Woman' would do the same to them. The girl glared at the fallen bully as he slowly got up and then ran to try to catch up to his friends. Goten watched the fight and laughed as the bullies ran from the scene. The tall girl, who stood about 5 feet 7 inches, then made her way toward the little boy and smiled.
"Are you ok little guy?" asked the girl.
"Yeah, why you ask?" Goten replied with a grin.
"It's just that I can't stand when people bully little kids. My school is along the way, how about I walk with you," the girl offered.
"Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt...my names Goten," the kid replied and then introduced.
"Well Goten, my names Makoto," the tall girl replied and the two of them were side by side as they made their way to school. The journey wasn't long as they came upon the building within a few minutes. The little boy grinned as he thanked Makoto and gave a small bow of respect before walking past the front gate. One of the teachers came up to Makoto with a smile on his face.
"Thank you Ms. Kino, hope you didn't run into too much trouble," the teacher pointed out.
"Nothing we couldn't handle," Makoto smiled before giving her farewell to the teacher and making her way to Juban Middle School.
Makoto's walk to school after the fight was uneventful. When she entered the school however, she noticed a few of the girls shy away from her. The fear they felt was noticeable on the tall girl's part, as she has felt that emotion from many people over her short life on this earth. A sadness came over her as she walked toward her homeroom. A bump from a stranger however stopped her apathy. Makoto wound up bumping into a certain bun headed blonde.
"You should look out," Makoto told the girl before walking down the hall.
Usagi looked at the retreating girl with wonder. Pink rose earrings wound up catching her attention as the tall girl walked away. The girl even heard a conversation between Makoto and one of the other students about why she wasn't wearing the school uniform. The brunette said something about not making one her size. Usagi couldn't help but feel sad for Makoto and the situation caused her to not think about the conversation she had with Naru earlier about a bridal photo.
Lunchtime was upon Juban High and Gohan Son was ready for his meal. The young man took out his three bento boxes from the delivery box he was given for a lunchbox. The boy dug into his rather large meal, causing eyes to wonder upon him. Rice balls, steamed buns, various meats, along with steamed vegetables were consumed at a great rate of speed. Gohan even had an oversized bowl of ramen that was kept warm inside the container after a few hours.
Eyes were upon the sight of consumption. Though many were used to this, his three tablemates watched in amazement. Gohan neatly stacked the bentos and his tablemates were still silent.
"Aren't you guys hungry?" Gohan asked, not the slightest bit annoyed at the stares. The three nodded and dug into their lunches. Their meals were small compared to Gohan's but the saiyan was used to humans not eating as much as him. The boy drank the last of his cold green tea in a thermos as Sharpner, Erasa, Videl and a couple of other classmates ate their meals.
"Have you heard of the new bridal shop?" Erasa asked after she finished the last of her food.
"You mean the one with the ghost bride?" Videl asked in response. Erasa scoffed at her friend, though the fact that it was haunted did get Gohan's interest.
"You mean a new shop already has a ghost?" Gohan asked.
"Yeah Gohan, I didn't think guys were really interested in a bridal shop of any kind," Videl pointed out.
"Well...the fact that it's haunted and all...might interest certain people," Gohan pointed out.
"Like weirdos," blurted out Sharpner much to the chagrin of the three girls. Toyotaro, the third boy at the table, really didn't chime in on the topic.
The third girl, who was named Naoko, daydreamed out loud along with Erasa. The two were positively giddy about the bridal shop. Videl and Sharpner rolled their eyes at the whole display. Toyotaro and Gohan just shrugged their shoulders and let the situation happen.
"I doubt you girls would be so giddy. If your groom left with the Ghost Bride," Videl smirked.
That question took all the giddiness away from Naoko and Erasa. Gohan and Toyotaro both leaned in ever so slightly to listen.
"Now that I have your attention, couples that have went to that shop ended up breaking up. The men become tempted by the Ghost Bride and are taken away, never to return. Oh what a cruel fate love does to us at times," Videl said.
The two formerly giddy girls went pale at the thought of such a phenomenon. The blonde and the black haired girl with a hairband seemed to be scared. Sharpner laughed at the notion, Toyotaro remained neutral while Gohan seemed a little more interested. Gohan however noticed the fear on the other two girls faces and gave a smile to them both.
"It's probably a stunt to either repel people, or to get the shop publicity. I wouldn't worry too much," Gohan said, which gave relief to both Erasa and Naoko.
"And besides, my Yoshi darling wouldn't fall for such a thing anyway," Naoko blurted out.
"You mean Yoshi finally asked you out!" Erasa said. Naoko nodded and Erasa squealed with delight. The other four people at the table however felt like they did not need to hear that kind of noise. While Erasa ran her mouth about how her friends fortune in love called for a celebration, Gohan put a thought in the back of his mind. The saiyan mentally noted that this would be a good first investigation for Goten. Good practice for his ki sense as it were.
Gohan was on top of the roof of the butcher shop, awaiting for someone. Pacing back and forth, the young man wanted this person to arrive soon. Patience was thinning as he watched the cityscape to calm his mind. The saiyan didn't have to wait much longer, as his little brother Goten made his way to the roof.
The older brother held out his hand and a red rose appeared. The smaller one cocked his head as he was perplexed by this flower. Instructed by Gohan to touch the rose, Goten did so and a little Tuxedo Mask costume materialized onto his body. The eldest then transformed into his own Tuxedo Mask outfit.
"Remember, you are Chibi Tuxedo Mask and I'm Tuxedo Mask. No calling each other by our real names. Got it Chibi Tuxedo Mask," Gohan told his smaller brother in earnest.
"Yes sir G-..I mean Tuxedo Mask," Goten replied, giving his older brother a slight reason to worry. Nevertheless the two sons of Goku Son took off to search for that bridal shop.
The two of them found the bridal shop easily as Gohan had gotten information from Erasa earlier in the day. The two brothers were in an alleyway, spying on the shop as dusk was slowly giving way to nightfall. Goten looked over and saw the girl that help him, however unnecessarily, with the bullies that particular morning.
"What do you think she's doing here?" whispered Chibi Tuxedo Mask.
"Probably looking at the dresses for her wedding day. Now we need to keep quiet," Tuxedo Mask told his younger brother.
A few moments later, a blond haired man approached Makoto. Gohan observed that it was his friend Motoki, but it did not seem like he was himself. The saiyan noticed that he walked much like a man who was truly fatigued. Gohan made a noise, which got Goten's attention.
"Do you feel the aura that he's projecting," Gohan asked his brother.
Goten narrowed his eyes a bit and reached out with his ki sense. A certain coldness struck the little Tuxedo Mask and it gave him a chill down his spine. The boy had never felt something like this before in any ki that he sensed. It froze the little one for a second.
"Chibi Tuxedo, that coldness you feel is the dark aura that I've felt from these beings ever since they have arrived. Now, you need to remember this. Take your staff and get into the stance you see me get into from time to time during practice," Gohan instructed.
Goten went into a wide stance as he remembered how him and Gohan would practice with a bo staff at times. The little hero in training then pulled out his cane, which then transformed into his own version of the Tuxedo Mask Cane Staff.
"Now say, Tuxedo Cane extend," Gohan said.
"Tuxedo Cane extend," shouted Chibi Tuxedo Mask, causing the end of the cane to fly toward Motoki and strike the teen on the back of the head. The possessed boy fell down onto Makoto's shoulder. The girl struggled, but she managed to gently place the knocked out boy onto the concrete sidewalk, flat onto his back.
Not even a few seconds after she laid the boy down, a ghost bride appeared. The apparition then charged Makoto as quickly as she arrived on the scene. The girl did her best to block, but the monster caught her cleanly with a punch. The strike knocked the brunette down and stunned her. Makoto struggled to her feet, which only served to anger the Ghost Bride.
Chibi Tuxedo Mask was shocked at the ferocity of the monster. The little guy looked at Gohan, who gave a simple nod. That was all that was needed, as Goten charged at the monster and landed a hard punch to it's jaw and sent it flat on it's back. Chibi Mask looked over to the girl, who was regaining her senses.
Makoto couldn't believe that a child was capable of such feats. She also was surprised when a bigger version of the little Tuxedo Mask appeared and placed two fingers on the neck of Motoki. Gohan nodded at Goten in approval.
"Good job Chibi Mask. He's still alive and will probably awaken after a while," Tuxedo Mask told him before he lifted him onto his shoulder.
"Where are you-" Makoto managed to get out before Gohan turned around to look eye to eye with her, which stopped the young woman in her tracks. A smile appeared on the features of the bigger half saiyan fighter.
"I'm taking him away from the battle. And I'm going to get a friend of mine," Tuxedo Mask told the silenced girl. The boy then turned his attention to the little one.
"You think you can handle the monster until I get back?" Gohan asked. Goten nodded and Gohan flew away from the battle for the moment. Makoto tried to speak but could not get a word toward the teenager before he left.
Gohan placed Motoki near his home and neatly placed him on the front doorsteps. The man took a look at his friend, who he felt would wake up after a while, and tipped his hat. Tuxedo Mask then took to the sky to rejoin the battle just as Motoki started to stir.
Usagi was getting ready for bed. The girl was in her pajamas with crescent moons and cats all over as the design. She put herself onto the bed and tried to go to sleep. However a knock onto the window kept slumber from overtaking her. The girl got out of her bed and saw a figure on the other side.
The girl opened the windows to see Tuxedo Mask, with his hand extended out. The girl was taken aback by this gesture. A memory flashed in her mind about another figure, doing that same gesture. She smiled as she reached her hand to the masked hero and climbed out of the window. She did not fall however as she was on top of what appeared to be a yellow cloud.
"Usagi, what you are standing on is Kinto'un. It's also called The Flying Nimbus. It will take you where you need to go," the disguised Gohan said as he let go and flew away.
The girl shouted for Tuxedo Mask, but to no avail. The girl then went onto a kneeling position with her hands onto the cloud. As if to give it a try, she instructed Nimbus to follow Tuxedo Mask. The cloud zoomed out toward their destination, causing the girl to close her eyes. However, she was secured by Kinto'un's magic to where she would never fall off of it as it made it's way to the battlefield. The girl hopped off of the magical flying contraption and looked around to Tuxedo Mask to no avail.
Soon as she came, the other two senshi arrived as well. What greeted them was a battle between Chibi Tuxedo Mask and the monster. The creature was wearing cracks at various spots as the little saiyan was able to beat it to the punch most of the time. A couple of cuts on his suit were the only damage that was seen on the little guy as he readied himself for another skirmish.
Makoto couldn't believe her eyes. A little version of Tuxedo Mask kicking the crap out of an evil opponent was not something she was expecting. Still though, she wished there was something she could do. The tall girl wasn't used to be the one that needed protecting after all.
"Having trouble with a mere child," shouted a voice that came from behind the "Ghost Bride." Nephrite appeared as if out of thin air with what seemed like supreme confidence. Usagi and the other two senshi transformed at the sight of the Dark Kingdom General.
Goten didn't see the transformation for he was focused on the opponent and the long brown haired fellow behind it. Gohan, who was hidden, saw the transformation of all three senshi and couldn't help but smile. His hunch proved right after all. Though now he felt was not the time to ponder this information, as he stood by and focused on the battle. The saiyan stayed at the ready should he have to intervene.
Sailor Moon was about to attack when Nephrite waved his hand. Three dark, fiery aura's latched on to the Sailor Guardians without warning. Chibi Mask couldn't help but watch as the three senshi writhed in pain. The general saw that the little one dropped his guard and fired the same technique at him. Not expecting this, it had hit it's mark, causing Goten to drop to the ground. The saiyan screamed out as he felt the aura attack his pain recepters.
Gohan was about to jump into the fray, but a hand stopped him. That hand was none other than the Namekian Piccolo. The saiyan glared at his friend, for as far as he was concerned that was his little brother on the ground, writing in pain.
"Encourage him to fight it, or else he will never learn," Piccolo ordered. Gohan then let down his glare at him and decided to do what the alien said to do.
"Chibi Mask, remember your training!" Gohan yelled. Somehow through all the screaming Goten heard the voice of his brother. Goten then gritted his teeth as he got onto all fours. He struggled against the attack and planted his feet. The boy gathered his energy eventhough the pain tried to overtake him. Then, to the shock of Nephrite, Goten began to turn the black aura into a white one and and began to scream. This was not a shout of someone in pain, but a powerful kiai, which forced the dark energy out and made the senshi roll back a few feet.
The little fighter then looked at the General, who was both astonished and annoyed at the same time. The senshi were standing up, albeit slowly as the attack did a number on all three of them. Luna took this as the time to run up and toss a green and gold pen to Makoto.
"Now, say Jupiter Power, Make Up!" ordered Luna. The brunette nodded at the cat as she understood.
"Jupiter Power, Make Up!" shouted Makoto.
A blue silhouette surrounded the girl as lightning formed around her. A six strand model of electric rings surrounded a center core as the power of thunder enveloped her. The young woman emerged in a green and white sailor fuku with a green shirt and dark green ankle boots. Sailor Jupiter had arrived on the field, which make little Goten grin.
"I am the Pretty Guardian of Love and Courage! I am Sailor Jupiter! I'll make you feel so much regret, it'll make you numb!" shouted the newly minted Sailor Guardian. The monster tried to attack. However, Jupiter countered with flower petals. Those particular petals however were augmented by Jupiter's magic and landed several cuts onto the creature, causing it to howl in pain.
Makoto then had a small lightning rod come out of her tiara. Lightning sparked all around the device as the girl took a couple of seconds to charge her attack. The monster and the general were readying their techniques but Jupiter was quicker. 'Supreme Thunder' were the words boomed out by the new senshi as she unleashed a torrent of lightning at the two. The attack reduced the Ghost Bride to dust while the general was somewhat incapacitated with injury.
Nephrite looked at Jupiter as if a flash of memory had entered his mind. Though he had to put that away as soon as it happened, so that he could escape. Feeling utterly defeated for the moment, he disappeared from the scene. The other three senshi were more refreshed and astonished at the strength of the new girl. They surrounded her to congratulate and support her.
"That was so cool!" blurted out Chibi Mask, causing all four senshi to look at him. Goten then went into his childish explanation about the lightning coming out and vaporizing the monster. This caused a giggle from Usagi, Ami and even the mostly stoic Rei.
Jupiter however felt a sense of pride. After all, she had felt so much negativity because of her strength and to have a small boy of all things admire what she did. She knelt down to the little hero and locked eye to eye mask with him.
"You weren't so bad yourself kid. The way you powered out of his attack was awesome. You have the makings of a great hero yourself," Jupiter pointed out. Goten beamed with delight so much that he didn't notice the larger Tuxedo Mask behind him.
The group looked upwards to the larger saiyan, who was without Piccolo. The namek had left the battle after Goten's power out, much to Gohan's chagrin. A smile was on the bigger brother's face as he looked at his smaller sibling.
"Well done Chibi Tuxedo Mask. Now how about we take our leave. It's past his bedtime," Gohan quipped, which caused Goten to laugh sheepishly. The two of them said their partings from the group and took off into the air.
Luna on the other hand watched the entire thing. She saw how Gohan was ready to jump in, only to be stopped by the Namek. The cat mentally swore that she had seen that figure before. Then it had dawned on her as she realized that the alien was on the video of the Cell Games all those years ago. According to the feline, that confirmed she was on the right track into figuring out the identity of Tuxedo Mask. All that remained to her was how to link the boy from the video to the teenager that has helped the senshi all those times. The cat slinked out of the scene, eager to do her research.
The next day Gohan was in his room, finishing his homework and studying for the day. The young man then decided to cut through the living quarters and went downstairs, his gi in the bag over his shoulder. A small crowd gathered around the counter, which was nothing new to the saiyan. Gohan looked over and saw his mother and what seemed like a new girl. The girl was rather friendly as she was being trained by Chi-chi on the register. The girl seemed to get the older woman's instructions rather well. Chi-chi noticed that Gohan was looking and motioned him to come over. Gohan went behind the counter and saw a familiar pony tail hair style. Then the woman turned around to greet Gohan and couldn't help but stare a bit. Gohan figured out who the young brunette was and smiled at her to hide his nervousness.
"Makoto Kino," introduced the girl.
"Gohan Son," the saiyan returned. Chi-chi remained neutral for the moment, but soon saw that the line was getting backed up.
"I know that my son is interesting, but please return to the customers," ordered Chi-chi politely, yet sternly.
"Sorry Mrs. Son," replied Makoto as she turned her attention to the crowd post haste. The older woman smiled a bit, knowing that she still had the stroke to keep this shop running.
"Now Gohan, I have no deliveries today and we are well stocked. Goten's waiting for you in the basement," Chi-chi told him. Gohan smiled and made his way out of the door.
Luna was in the basement as she started entering in the info on the supercomputer. A video familiar to her popped onto the screen. The still photo was of preteen Gohan at Super Saiyan 2 and two other pictures popped up. One was of Tuxedo Mask and the other was of Gohan Son as he appears normally.
'Sure, the names match, but there could be more men named 'Gohan Son' out there. The kid is blond haired and Gohan has black hair. Tuxedo Mask did have black hair and in a similar style but that's not enough to go on. Does he have a way to change his hair color. That could explain a lot of things. I might get the girls involved and see what they think. Perhaps one of them saw something that I didn't. Wait a minuteā¦'
Luna fast forwarded the video to the end where little Gohan's hair changed back to black. The dots start to connect for the feline. She just needed one more thing to connect Gohan fully to the Cell Games hero and Tuxedo Mask.
'We have to get him to turn into that Golden Warrior somehow!'
Luna then noticed a rod that was very familiar to her. She looked at the crescent moon wand, which shown a white light from the little moon on the rod itself.
'Let's make sure Usagi gets this next time I see her.'
A/N: Well I think I did good with this chapter. I almost put this before the Princess D party, forgetting the order they came in at the time. Please Read, Review, Favorite and Follow.
