Summary: After getting an inspiration from the fathers tuning into the Ultra Bowl on TV, the Rugrats hold their own Super Bowl game in Susie's backyard.
It was a beautiful Super Bowl Sunday in Yucaipa, California as the Rugrats, Angelica, and Zoey were hanging out at Susie's house as all the father's of their children were getting ready to watch the Ultra Bowl on television.
"Chaz do you have the snack's ready" asked Randy.
"You bet" replied Chaz.
"Stu do you have the drinks" asked Randy.
"Yep" replied Stu.
"Howard do you have the remote" asked Randy.
"Check" replied Howard.
"Great just one more thing to take care of, I'll be right back" said Randy.
Meanwhile upstairs in Susie's room The Rugrats, Angelica, Susie, and Zoey were happily doing random things when Randy came in.
"Hey kids just checking to see if everything is alright" said Randy.
All the kids nodded in unison.
"Terrific" Randy replied. "We'll be downstairs watching the Ultra Bowl if anything is wrong" he said.
"Mr Carmichael" asked Zoey "What's the Ultra Bowl" she asked.
"It's only the Ultimate event in football where there are two teams that try to score the most goals and the team with the most goals wins the event" explained Randy.
"Sounds cool" said Zoey.
"Well I better go the game is about to start" said Randy. "Have fun kids" he added.
Then Randy made a beeline for the living room as the Ultra Bowl was starting.
"Whew just made it" exclaimed Randy.
"I just hope nothing happens behind our backs this time" said Chaz.
"Everything will be fine buddy" assured Stu.
The other fathers nodded in agreement. Meanwhile, back upstairs in Susie's room.
"Hey guys" said Susie we should have our own Super Bowl game in the back yard" suggested Susie.
"Yeah" cheered the others in unison.
"Um, will we use a ball this time instead of chocolate milk" asked Chuckie.
"Sure Chuckie" replied Susie "why do you ask" she said.
"The lastest time we played something like this Tommy's living room was a complete mess when we were keeping a bottle of chocolate milk away from Angelica" explained Chuckie.
"That doesn't surprise me" Zack thought to himself.
"That's alright because were going to play this with a ball outside where there is more room" said Susie.
"And we should split into teams" said Tommy.
"Neat, but who is going to referee the game and keep score" asked Zack.
All the kids thought for a moment.
"Hey Susie" asked Angelica "Why don't you be the one who signals when the game should start and end" she suggested.
"That's not a bad idea" said Kimi.
"And you have pretty good judgement" added Chuckie.
"Thanks guys" said Susie.
"Hey Zack" asked Jesse "Why don't you be the score keeper" he suggested.
"Me" went Zack.
"Sure, after all you can count the highest" said Dil.
"And you can't miss" added Savannah.
"Alright guys I'll do it" said Zack.
"Yay" cheered the others in unison.
"But which teams would the rest of us be on" asked Phil.
"Yeah, Me and Phillip always stick together" added Lil.
The kids thought for a moment.
"Hey I know, since Angelica and Zoey are big kids why don't we let them choose the players for their team" suggested Tommy.
"That's not a bad idea Tommy" said Zoey.
The others nodded in agreement and soon Angelica and Zoey were choosing players for their sides.
"I pick Tommy for my team" replied Angelica.
"I pick Jesse for my team" replied Zoey.
"I pick Dilly for my team" replied Angelica.
"I pick Phil for my team" replied Zoey.
"I pick Savannah for my team" replied Angelica.
"I pick Chuckie for my team" replied Zoey.
"I pick Kimi for my team" replied Angelica.
"And finally I pick Lil for my team" replied Zoey.
Soon the teams, referee, and score keeper were made up and all the kids got the things they needed for their Super Bowl game to start.
"Okay teams" said Susie "the team who scores the most goals wins the Super Bowl" she said.
The players on both teams nodded in agreement as Susie blew the whistle.
"GO" cried Suise and the game began.
"Angelica" said Kimi "I'm open, I'm open" she shouted.
"Here ya go Kimi" said Angelica as she threw a high one overhead as Kimi caught the ball and headed for the opposing goal line.
But Jesse tackled Kimi as the ball flew towards Zoey.
"Run Zoey Run" shouted Jesse as Zoey made a beeline toward the opposing team's goal line and scored.
"And that's score one for Zoey's team" shouted Zack.
"No sweat guys we'll score a goal you'll see" said Angelica.
Her teammates nodded in agreement as the whistle blew.
"GO" shouted Susie as the ball was thrown.
"Dilly catch" shouted Tommy as he threw the ball towards Dil and ran.
Then Phil and Lil tackled Dil and got the ball in their hands.
"I'll run towards the goal" said Phil.
"Nuh-Uh, I'll do it" said Lil.
The twins argued until Kimi swiped the ball from them and made a dash for the goal line and scored.
"And that's score one for Angelica's team" shouted Zack.
"Oops" said Phil and Lil in unison.
"We wont get anywhere with this arguing" said Jesse.
"Yeah, we're a team you guys" added Chuckie.
"Relax guys" said Zoey "If we can just put our heads together and focus on the goal we can win" she said.
Her teammates nodded in agreement as the whistle blew again.
"GO" shouted Susie as the ball was thrown again.
Meanwhile, inside the house the fathers were enjoying themselves with the ongoing Ultra Bowl game.
"Man this game is really getting more epic by the minute" said Randy.
"Oh yeah" exclaimed Stu
"Um guys shouldn't we see if the kids are okay" asked Chaz.
"Relax buddy I'm sure they're okay" assured Stu.
"Alright, alright I'm sure they would get us if something is wrong" said Chaz.
The other fathers nodded in agreement. Meanwhile, back outside the kids were playing their Super Bowl game and the score between the two teams were tied 4/4.
"And this game is tied 4 to 4" shouted Zack.
"Break time" said Susie as the teams took the opportunity to catch their breath.
"I gotta hand it to you guys we're doing great as the score is tied" said Angelica.
"Have you played this hard before Bro" asked Dil.
"Yep" replied Tommy.
"This is fun" said Savannah.
"Uh-huh, this is lots of fun" added Kimi.
Meanwhile, Zoey's team was catching their breath and chatting.
"Teamwork is starting to payoff you guys" said Zoey.
"Yeah" replied Phil and Lil in unison.
"At least we're not getting messy this time" said Chuckie.
"We can win this" replied Jesse.
Meanwhile, Susie and Zack were talking.
"I've never seen the guys play this hard" said Zack.
"In a game of football players are usually expected to give it their all" said Susie.
"We're ready to play again" shouted the other kids in unison.
"Well let's get the show on the road again" said Zack.
Susie nodded in agreement. Soon both teams were in position as the whistle blew.
"GO" shouted Susie as the ball was thrown.
"Tommy I'm open, I'm open" shouted Angelica as Tommy threw her the ball and made a fast dash for the goal line and scored.
"And that's another one for Angelica's team" shouted Zack.
"Don't get discouraged you guys" said Zoey. "We can do it" she added.
"Yeah" shouted Zoey's teammates in unison as the players got into position again.
"GO' shouted Susie as the ball was thrown.
"Chuckie I'm open I'm open" shouted Zoey as Chuckie threw her the ball.
Zoey ran for the goal but was tackled by Tommy and Kimi as the ball flew towards Angelica.
"I got it" said Angelica she ran towards the goal but was tackled by Phil and Lil as the ball flew towards Jesse.
"Jesse run" shouted Phil and Lil in unison as Jesse made a mad dash towards the goal line and scored.
"And that's another one for Zoey's team" shouted Zack.
"We'll get em" said Savannah.
"Relax guys it's only a fun game" said Tommy.
"Yeah it's not like were playing for a real prize or anything" agreed Angelica.
"Uh-huh, we just gots to keep trying" said Kimi.
"Yeah lets show em what were made of" said Savannah.
"Yeah" shouted Angelica's teammates in unison.
Meanwhile, back inside the house the fathers were still enjoying the Ultra Bowl on TV.
"Another one for the boys back home" said Howard.
"Man this is getting so intense" said Randy.
"There's still more action to come" said Stu. "How are you feeling about this Chaz o Buddy" asked Stu.
"I feel strangely calm now that were getting towards the latter portion of the Ultra Bowl" replied Chaz.
"That's good to hear" said Stu.
The other fathers nodded in agreement. Meanwhile, back outside Angelica's and Zoey's teams were still neck in neck as they continued to play.
"And the game is tied 8 to 8" shouted Zack.
"Break time before one more play" said Susie.
Soon both teams were catching their breaths and engaged in conversations.
"Boy this is a real close game you guys" said Chuckie.
"I know, but we're doing fine" said Zoey.
"Yeah" replied Phil and Lil in unison.
"And the last play will reveal the moment of truth on which team will win this Super Bowl game" said Jesse.
"Whether we win or lose we're doing our best" said Zoey. "And it's a friendly competition, so it's not like were competing for the title or anything" she added.
"That's a relief" said Chuckie.
Meanwhile, Angelica's team was catching their breath and chatting.
"Well guys were down to one more play before the game ends" said Savannah.
"I'm happy to be on the team even if we lose" replied Dil.
"It's a pleasure to always have you on the team no matter what activity we do" said Angelica.
"Thanks Angelica" said Kimi.
"Yeah you're a much better team player than eber before" added Tommy.
"Thanks" said Angelica.
Meanwhile, Susie and Zack were talking.
"Well we're almost done with the game" said Susie.
"Yeah it's going to be a nail biter to see which team wins the Super Bowl" said Zack.
"We're ready" shouted the other kids in unison.
"It's the last stretch, lets get going" said Zack.
Susie nodded in agreement as both teams were in position for their final play as the whistle blew.
"GO" shouted Susie as the ball was thrown.
"Chuckie I'm open I'm open" shouted Jesse as Chuckie threw the ball in his direction.
Jesse ran for the goal line but was tackled by Angelica, Dil and Savannah as the ball flew towards Tommy.
"Tommy I'm open I'm open" shouted Kimi as Tommy threw the ball in her direction.
Kimi ran but was tackled by Phil and Lil as the ball flew towards Zoey.
"Zoey run" shouted Phil and Lil in unison.
Zoey made a run for the goal line but was tackled by Tommy, Dil, and Savannah as the ball flew towards Chuckie.
"Chuckie run you can do it" shouted Zoey as Chuckie ran to get to the goal line.
Chuckie was nearly there when Angelica was in the path.
"Chuckie I'm open" shouted Jesse as he threw the ball his way.
Jesse and Chuckie paralleled each other and throwing the ball towards one another until at last Chuckie had a clear path with the ball and headed for the goal line.
"And Zoey's team is the winner" shouted Zack "The final score is 9 to 8" he added.
"Yay" cheered Zoey's teammates in unison.
"We did it" said Phil and Lil in unison.
"I told you teamwork pays off" said Zoey.
"Whew, I'm glad that's over" sighed Chuckie.
"Boy that was fun" said Jesse.
Just then Angelica's teammates came over and congratulated them.
"Great game you guys" said Tommy.
"Yeah that was fun" said Dil and Savannah in unison.
"Yeah, you did pretty darn good" said Angelica.
"Uh-huh, it was lots of fun" said Kimi.
"Thanks guys" said Zoey.
"Hmmm, I guess Angelica can be a good sport after all" Zack thought to himself.
"That was a good game you guys" said Susie "how about we all give each other high fives" she said.
"Yeah" shouted the others in unison as they all gave one another high fives and fell on the grass.
Meanwhile, back inside the Ultra Bowl was concluding as the fathers were cleaning up.
"Man that was the game of the millennium" said Stu.
"Oh yeah" said Randy.
"Best game played today" agreed Howard.
"Speaking of playing, we didn't check on the kids during the game" said Chaz.
"Let's look out in the backyard first" said Randy.
The fathers soon found their children lying innocently in the grass all tired out from their Super Bowl game.
"Well it looks like we're not the only football fans that were keen for some football madness" said Randy.
The other fathers nodded in agreement as they rounded up the kids back into the house.
"At least there was no huge mess this time" said Chaz.
"I told ya not to worry" said Stu as he gave Chaz a pat on the back.
Chaz chuckled.
"Oh Stu" said Chaz.
The fathers then got snacks out for the kids to eat and re-energize themselves from their game.
