AUTHOR'S NOTES ABOUT THE STORY
This Animal Crossing fanfiction is based on my playing experiences of Wild World, City Folk, and New Horizons. All three games will be connected to form an adventure that will see Bridgette, the main human character, move to Pembroke Town before visiting some other towns and her former town before unexpectedly escaping to Orlando Island. I DO NOT OWN ANY OF THE CHARACTERS EXCEPT THE ORIGINAL CHARACTERS WHO APPEAR IN THIS FANFICTION. Enjoy the story!
Chapter 1: Moving Day
It was a sad day for a young brown-haired girl. Bridgette was her name, and she was about to say goodbye to her town of Maelstorm, where the weather was wild, and the anthropomorphic animals were hard-working citizens. Now, it was time for Bridgette to live her own life. She was about to move to a town called Pembroke, where it is said by the people that unexpected things can happen wherever you go. One of the citizens of Maelstorm, a snooty squirrel villager named Blaire, stopped Bridgette before she could make it to the town taxi station.
"Oh, Bridgette, my girl, please!" Blaire said. "Please don't go! If you go, we will all miss you! What if you do not come back to see us ever again?"
Bridgette replied, "I know, Blaire. But just think. Once I have a bigger home to live in, I can have more room for all my belongings. Even stuff my grandparents left me. Oh, and about that other talk about me not seeing you guys again, that's just plain ridiculous! I'll come back to visit occasionally."
"You will really do that, Bridgette?" Blaire asked.
"Sure, I will, Blaire." Bridgette said. Then, a normal ostrich villager, a female named Gladys, brought one more bag for Bridgette.
"Here you go, Bridgette." Gladys said. "There's also a special book in here that has all of our signatures in it. Use it wisely during your adventures in Pembroke. And I even stuck some papers in there too along with some envelopes. Please, use everything wisely." Gladys said.
"Thank you, Gladys." Bridgette said. "Now where is Petunia? She was also supposed to give me a souvenir to remember this town and you guys well."
"She's in her house waiting for you." A peppy chicken villager named Leigh said. "Would you like me to keep an eye on your stuff for you so you can see her?" she later asked Bridgette.
"Sure. Thanks, Leigh." Bridgette said. "I'm really glad I got to make so many friends here throughout my five years here… but I'm certainly going to miss all of you." She later walked on over to Petunia's house.
Back with Petunia, a snooty rhinoceros villager and one of Bridgette's best friends, she was busy arranging the special gift that Bridgette was going to receive from her. Then, without warning, someone knocked at the door. It was Bridgette coming to pick up her gift.
"Hi, Bridgette. Please, come on in." Petunia said.
"Oh. Thank you." Bridgette said. She slowly walked in and went over to Petunia's DIY workbench. There, she saw a wreath made of many different colored windflowers.
"Now, allow me to tell you about this wreath, Bridgette." Petunia said as she was about to tell a story. "Long ago, before any of us came into existence into this world, people would pluck flowers and create beautiful wreaths for their families. The family members of those wreath creators thought that the wreaths were so pretty that they decided to make wreaths out of flowers and sell them. My mother was a wreath maker of a flower called the pansy. In fact, sometimes, she would combine those pansies with other flowers, like roses or mums, or even lilies or tulips. Here, please take the wreath, and hang it on your new door in Pembroke when you get there."
"Cool!" Bridgette said. "Thanks, Petunia!"
"You are most welcome, Bridgette." Petunia said. Then, a car horn was heard outside. As Bridgette was about to walk outside, she saw that it was the taxi waiting to pick her up and take her to Pembroke, her new town. She knew it was time to say goodbye to everything in Maelstorm.
"We really will miss you, Bridgette." Leigh said.
"Yeah, good luck with your new home." Petunia said.
"Goodbye, Bridgette." Blaire said while crying. Then, Bridgette got into the taxi, and it headed under a tunnel.
"Do you think that Bridgette will have fun in Pembroke?" Leigh asked Blaire.
"She… she might…" Blaire said while still crying. "But, I'm pretty sure she will write to us when she has the time to do so."
Back with Bridgette, she was talking to the taxi driver, who turned out to be a human. Then, the driver was asking Bridgette what she was going to do in the peaceful town of Pembroke.
"So, I was waiting to see some new sites. Stuff I have never seen before, Mr. Taxi Driver." Bridgette said.
"Really?" the taxi driver asked. "Have your parents ever visited this place before?" he later asked.
"They have, for sure. And they have even told me stories about it." Bridgette said to the driver. Then, minutes after brief silence from the two of them, the driver saw the Pembroke taxi station up ahead. It was about time for Bridgette to get off.
"Alright, Bridgette. Welcome to the Precious Town of Pembroke!" the taxi driver said.
"Thanks for the ride, Mr. Taxi Driver." Bridgette said. "That was fun."
"You are most certainly welcome, Bridgette." I'll help you get your stuff unpacked, and you can handle the rest from here."
"Thanks." Bridgette said. She knew a true adventure was about to emerge for her once she settled into her new house in her new town of Pembroke.
