Borderlands: A New Start

In the Year 3426, the Crimson Rose was asked to help a manufacturing company ship weapons to Aladdin Prime. As they do their job, Bandits and the Bloody Phoenix military group attack for its resources. The Crimson Rose fights them to the point that one of their leaders dies. What'll happen when he wakes up in the Year 1 where the first Vault is located?

In an unknown location within the universe, the Crimson Rose organization were preparing themselves for their next mission. Which no one knows anything about because they are waiting for a call. As they were preparing, the three leaders of Crimson Rose said, "Thomas, we've been saving the universe left and right. Don't you think that they don't need our help anymore?"

Thomas Visteria said, "They always need our help, Charlotte. Plus..."

The AI said, "I have a feeling that we are about to get a call."

Charlotte Cox said, "We don't need to hear that. Show me proof and then I'll say ok, we might have a caller. But it ain't happening anytime soon."

The third leader, Sierra Asteria said, "Shut up, Charlotte. The AI is just doing its job. Plus, she's never wrong."

The AI said, "Incoming call from the CEO of Talevar Incorporated, Trevor Talevar."

Thomas said, "Accept it."

The AI did and a hologram of Trevor appeared and then said, "Good morning guys. I have a job for you."

Thomas asked, "Who do you need us to kill?"

Trevor said, "It is more of a protection job than killing someone. I am sending a huge shipment of weapons to Aladdin Prime. Our private army there is running low on ammo and I am supplying them with the necessary weapons that they need. But knowing that Aladdin Prime is a lawless planet, there are all types of people that want my weapons. Protect the weapons until the weapons get to their destination."

Charlotte said, "We can handle that. As long as we get some of the weapons."

Sierra said, "Stop being an asshole."

Trevor said, "I am afraid that you can't have any of the weapons from the shipment. But I'll send something over to your base as payment for completing the job."

Thomas said, "How long do we have to prepare for this operation?"

Trevor answered, "I'd like to go out right now, but if you aren't ready, then tomorrow morning."

Thomas said, "Right now it is then. Let's get moving."

Sierra said, "We are going to keep a few men back, correct?"

Charlotte answered, "Yes, they need to continue working on our mobile ship so that we don't have to stay stationary like this anymore."

Thomas said, "We'll contact you when the job is done."

Trevor said, "Thank you."

The hologram disappeared and then Thomas said, "Let's get a move on it."

They exited their office altogether and then everyone saw that and stopped moving and then Thomas said, "Everyone, we finally got a job."

Everyone started cheering and then Charlotte said, "Maintenance unit, stay behind. You are going to continue working on our ship. Everyone else, we're going to be protecting a shipment of weapons heading toward Aladdin Prime."

Everyone started cheering and then Thomas said sarcastically, "That means that we're going up against the strongest of foes called Bandits. But we might encounter Pandora Corporation's private military force known as Bloody Phoenix. So, stay sharp."

Sierra said, "We are leaving immediately. Get into your Black Jets and sail to destruction."

Charlotte said, "See you out in the battlefield ladies. Today, we ride to infamy and beyond."

They all started cheering and ran to their jets and Thomas walked to his personally made ship that he's been fixing up ever since he got her. Thomas said, "Old Bessie. Glad that you are still here. Let's get a move on it."

As the army of the Crimson Rose exited the base, the cargo freighter was out there waiting for them and then the pilot of the cargo freighter said, "Thank you for agreeing to this job."

Thomas said, "No problem. Let's go."

They all took off to Aladdin Prime and then 20 minutes later, they got into the airspace of Aladdin Prime and then explosions started to occur in the air. Thomas said, "Now, do what we are paid to do. Kill or be killed."

Everyone started splitting off and fired rockets all over Aladdin Prime killing everyone in sight. Bandit Buzzards and Bloody Phoenix Jets appeared and Thomas said, "Attack Squadron, demolish."

An EMP Buzzard shot an EMP Blast at one of the ships charging at them. The blast hit the target and he started crashing down to the ground. Thomas saw that and then said, "We got EMP Buzzards on our asses. Get the Anti-EMP Jets out there."

They said, "Yessir."

The Anti-EMP Jets flew passed them and the Attack Squadron fell back before they lost a massive number of ships. The Bloody Phoenix Inferno Jet appeared firing fireballs at them, but Charlotte said, "Black Water Jets, move now."

They appeared around the Anti-EMP Jets and fired water out of their ships hitting the fireballs and causing mayhem throughout space. Thomas said, "Fire everything that you have at the enemy now. Charlotte, you lead a squad to get the ship to the soldiers."

Charlotte asked, "Why don't you go?"

Thomas answered, "I'm the strategist here."

The pilot said, "It doesn't matter. You guys have the strongest army to ever be assembled here. And it seems that you have a call from The Underworld."

Thomas sighed and then cut communications with everyone and answered it saying, "Thomas Visteria speaking."

A voice appeared saying, "It is I, the ruler of The Underworld, Mad Moxxi, hoping to have a minute of your time."

Thomas said, "I am quite busy at the current moment. But I'll talk. What is it?"

Moxxi asked, "Why did you break my daughter's heart?"

Thomas answered, "She's not my type. I'm not into fat women. And I thought that you knew that already."

Moxxi said, "Oh sugar, looky here. You are messing with fire that you don't want to fuck with."

Thomas said, "Ma'am, watch your mouth. I have the most powerful fleet in the universe right now. Don't fuck with me."

Moxxi said, "Once you are done with that mission, I'll be looking forward to you coming to The Underworld next. You and I have a lot to discuss."

Thomas said, "I bet that we do."

An explosion occurred and then Thomas looked back and Moxxi saw that and then Sierra said, "Thomas."

Thomas said, "Goddammit. This is why we can't have nice things. Alright, see you soon, Moxxi. Don't do anything crazy till I get there."

The AI said, "Error, error, error, flight controls are out of order."

Thomas said, "I know that, idiot."

The AI said, "There is no need to yell at the AI."

Thomas said, "Fuck off."

Moxxi laughed and then the AI said, "You are flying straight at the Armored Buzzard and Armored Jet. If you hit them, you will die."

Thomas heard that and then said, "Well, I'm going to have to call in that rain check. Choose another date for our meeting."

Moxxi said, "You'll be dead. It really doesn't matter anymore."

Thomas laughed and then cut communications altogether and then fired everything that he had at the jets. Sierra said, "Thomas, talk to us."

Thomas looked outside toward her and then the Armored Buzzard went to move, but Thomas shot the oil tank causing it to explode along with the Armored Jet. Thomas said, "Buyah, bitches."

Thomas kept flying straight and then the AI said, "In 5 minutes, we will crash into the cargo freighter that we were meant to protect."

Thomas asked, "Any suggestions?"

The AI answered, "Well, you can't eject yourself out. So, that option is out of the question. I could regain a 5 second control of the ship and move it down a couple feet and miss the base altogether. But killing you in the process. Or have your own people shoot you out of the sky."

Thomas asked, "What about shoving me out of the way?"

The AI answered, "Then you'll fly right into the tower occupied by Talevar Incorporated."

Thomas said, "Shit. And comms are down now."

The AI answered, "Yes. You made sure of that."

Thomas sighed and then said, "Alright. Take control."

The AI did and then Sierra said, "Dammit. Someone save the boss."

A few ships flew over to Thomas' location and then Charlotte said, "The cargo freighter has been successfully delivered to the base. We're heading back to base now."

Sierra said, "I got Thomas. You get out of..."

An explosion occurred where Thomas' ship was located and then Sierra asked, "What was that?"

Thomas as a spectral figure saw his AI in Human Form and she said, "I forgot about that function. Sorry for startling you, sir."

Thomas said, "You did what had to be done to complete the mission. Thank you for one hell of a ride."

She said, "Thank you as well, sir. It was one hell of a ride. I hope that we can ride one more time in the future."

Thomas smiled and then she saluted him and Thomas saluted back and then they disappeared entirely. One of the men said, "Ma'am, the remains of Boss Visteria's ship show that the ships AI blew up the power core. It seems that if it wasn't stopped, then we would have failed the mission. He was headed straight for the cargo freighter and was out of control."

Sierra growled and then Charlotte said, "Shit. Now we don't have to listen to his bitching anymore."

Sierra said, "Not funny, Charlotte. He's the only reason why we continue to live throughout these troubled times. So, this organization will fall apart. If that happens, then he will definitely be angry with us."

Charlotte growled and then said, "Bring the wreckage back to base. You will contact the client, yes?"

Sierra answered, "Yeah. Get going."

Everyone took off after collecting what they needed and Sierra said, "Trevor, do you read me?"

Trevor answered, "Yeah. Did it go well?"

Sierra answered, "Could have gone better, but we got the job done. The one that came up with the idea of what we are now is dead. The strongest of the 3 leaders is no longer."

Trevor said, "I am sorry. But he knew the risks. And wait, did his ship have a malfunction after getting hit once?"

Sierra answered, "Yes, why do you ask?"

Trevor answered, "I am looking at the schematic of his ship. It seems that his AI survived the explosion. Someone tampered with his ship before the battle."

Sierra heard that and then Charlotte said, "No one would do that."

Sierra said, "Do you know who?"

Trevor answered, "Yes. One of your new recruits. William Cartridge. Wait, there is an ECHO recording here. I'm going to play it now."

They said, "Please do."

Trevor hit play and then Thomas' hologram appeared and said, "Dear Crimson Rose, this is your lovely boss speaking. Thomas Visteria, the strongest monster this universe has ever seen. But that's ok. No one really cares about strength in this place. Everyone follows me because they have goals in life that they want to achieve. We may lose some to our enemies. But I don't like being attacked from the inside out. What I'm trying to say ladies, is that we got a traitor amongst us. That also means that if you are listening to this ECHO recording, then that must mean that I died and Terraform thought that it was right to tell everyone this fact. I believe that I know who did it. But I can't really be sure. All that I know is that shit has been going downhill ever since the new batch of brats came in 5 days ago. My best friend is dead. Found his body floating in space yesterday. Whoever killed her is going to die. But I want you all to do me a favor. Make this person's life a living hell for me. I tried to hold back my anger for all I could. But this draws the line. Slaughter her. Her name is Rebecca Catrice. Terraform looked her up and she's an undercover agent for Bloody Phoenix. And we all know how I feel about them. So, kill or be killed. That's how we roll ladies. Finish the job. And get my ship ready for space travel. Farewell."

Thomas smiled and then disappeared saying, "I know that this is in good hands now. I can rest in peace."

50 minutes later, Charlotte and Sierra shot her over and over again with a full clip out of their pistol. Sierra said, "That was for Thomas."

Charlotte said, "And his girlfriend."

Everyone started cheering and then the AI said, "I am back."

Charlotte said, "Thank you for the information, Terraform."

Terraform said, "Thomas' idea."

They smiled and then said, "Of course it was."

They saluted him and then Charlotte said, "Get back to work on that ship."

Everyone said, "Yes, ma'am."
