A quick note before you start reading. This fic does include Sasuke/Naruko in the beginning but this is a SasuSaku fic.

I'm trying out something different, but I hope you still enjoy^^

Sakura's heart felt heavy, she couldn't look away at the scene even if she tried. The Haruno didn't know whether to laugh like a maniac considering how much they've been through together or run out and cry. It was currently raining so the weather pretty much fitted her mood.

Sure, she understood that Sasuke was always away all the time on business and as such Naruko never got to see him regularly. But to sleep with her boyfriend?

What did she ever do to her?

I thought we were friends?

What's worse? Having your friend sleep with your lover or lover sleep with them?

"Sak-Sakura..." Naruko got up away from Akito, taking the blanket to shield her naked body. Not that it did any good since now all she saw was her boyfriend lying naked on the bed.

Ah, Sakura didn't even realize her body moved on its own and she just stood there in front of them numb at the scene.

"Sakura," Akito spoke, trying to put on his clothes but no other words were said. Instead, he just looked away guiltily.

Why?

What did she do to deserve this? Even when she's helping out their family.

"Thank you so much for this Sakura-Chan!" Kushina beamed. "I promise we'll pay you well, but you know how scummy people can be. We just can't trust anyone knowing they'll probably snoop about and steal something." The Uzumaki family were well-known people, famous actually. If any random stranger was left to do the cleaning who knows what would happen. Stealing wasn't even one of the worst-case scenarios, considering how much gossip and rumours the press loved to spread anything here could be taken out of context.

An innocent photo of her and Naruko playing together and the press would change it to the two of them secretly dating because 'look at the proof.'

"It's my pleasure Kushina-san." Sakura was a childhood friend of both Naruto and Naruko. They were twins and whilst she herself didn't come from such a big or important family they still treated her like one of their own.

"You know what this means right? We'll get to see each other every day." Naruko excitedly spoke feeling giddy.

"No distracting her!" Kushina sternly said. "She'll be here to work, not see her friends. You can talk to her on her lunch break." At that, she groaned. "Oh please Ma, you act as if she can't talk and do her work."

"Well, I know you. I trust Sakura-chan but you are another thing darling." At that Naruko pouted and Sakura giggled.

"She's got a point!" Naruto's voice boomed from another room. "YOU SHUT UP! YOUR JUST AS BAD!" Naruko screeched back.

"Isn't it too early for you to be this loud?"

"Sasuke-Kun!" Naruko ran up giving him a light peck on the lips.

"This is a nice surprise," she wrapped her arms around his neck smiling cutely. "Ah, I wanted to surprise you. What are you and Naruto arguing over now anyway?"

"That she can be a distraction," Kushina smirked. "I'm sure you know that well don't you Sasuke?"

"Ah." Naruko blushed at that. "Don't agree with them."

Sakura merely rolled her eyes, as much as she wanted to agree with Naruko Sakura knew she would probably distract her, as well as Naruto and not actually get her job done. Besides, she needed the money and was thankful that Kushina was giving her this.

"So, shall I start tomorrow then?" She turned back to the red-haired woman.

"Please, and thanks again Sakura. You're a lifesaver."

It had been five months since then, all the laughter and happiness gone.

There was nothing but silence as no one knew how to break the ice. Finally, Sakura spoke, fist-shaking.

"How long?"

"I-I'm sorry?" Akito asked, unsure if he heard correctly.

"I said how long? You expect me to believe that this was a one-time thing?" Anger was beginning to take over, did they think she was stupid enough to believe that this just happened? That is was just a one-off and will never happen again. No, they were too comfortable around each other for that. Neither one of them spoke, however, feeling shame, guilt and much to Sakura's heartbreak flushed at what transpired earlier.

The reality was beginning to set in and Sakura was beginning to feel sick. She needed to get out of here NOW!

And she did, running out of the room crying trying to hold in her sickness. She heard them call her name but didn't pay any mind and ran out of the house and into the storm. Such terrible weather but Sakura kept on running. After feeling like she was far away enough she threw up, holding the tree for support. She felt so sick.

How? How could they do this to her?

The rain hit her roughly and she was getting soaked but the pink-haired girl didn't mind. Her heart was broken, her friend betrayed and made her look like a fool. They both had, could this get any worse?

Suddenly the rain stopped and it wasn't until a voice spoke out did Sakura realise someone was holding an umbrella out for her.

"Are you okay?"

Sasuke. Shit, she thinks. Why did he have to appear now? Couldn't he have gone to Naruko's instead? Sakura wasn't sure whether to come out and tell the truth or let him witness it himself. Unless they pretend nothing's happened. I mean would he even believe her if she told him. Sakura wanted to speak but threw up some more so the Uchiha instead held out the umbrella to stop her from getting soaked and with his other hand held her hair up.

"I guess not," Sasuke muttered, he was on his way back from a long day at work and got off early. Hoping to spend time with his girlfriend and make it a romantic night in. However, he caught sight of Sakura out in nothing but thin clothing out in the rain and figured she could need him right now more than his girlfriend besides he'll probably take her over to Naruko's anyway. He wasn't exactly a good comforter, that was the job for the Uzumaki's. That didn't mean he couldn't help, still holding out his umbrella over her he took his hand off her hair and shrugged off the side of his jacket switching hands to shrug his arm out the other and gently placed on her back hoping it would keep her warm.

"Sorry," she managed to get out. "I... it's been a rough day." Just then Sakura's phone rang making her flinch. She held the coat tightly on whilst answering.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT?!" She screamed through the phone causing Sasuke's eyes to widen.

Maybe this was why she was out here.

"TALK. TALK? YOU HAVE SOME FUCKING NERVE! WHAT'S THERE TO TALK ABOUT? YOU CHEATED ON ME AND I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN!" She hanged up the phone before giving Akito a chance to talk. Sakura started to feel dizzy then and nauseous all over again. Almost fainting Sasuke caught her before she could fall.

"You really are having a rough night." He spoke softly. "Come on, I'll take you over to Naruko's-"

"NO!" She immediately backed away from him, not there please anywhere else but she wasn't going back.

"Why not?" Sasuke started to get suspicious now. Did they have a fight or was it something... else?

"Because..." Sakura took a deep breath before answering.

"Because... Naruko is the one he's sleeping with."

There was a lot of shouting and anger. Sakura could barely make out what they were saying and it was almost as if they forgot she was there.

In all honestly, Sakura didn't want to come back but felt the need to in case Sasuke would do something stupid. Naruko said something about Sasuke not being at home all the time and she needed something, anything. Attention, affection, love. However, that only made him angrier and that he was yelling how he had always done his best to be there for her. It's not like she didn't have many chances to get out of the relationship if it was too much.

So why?

Why did she do this to him?

It didn't help that Akito was defending her, saying it was his fault for not being enough for her, for prioritising work instead. Well, that was rich, what about his girlfriend then?

"Your lying." No, she wasn't, if he was honest Sasuke was suspecting it. He had been seeing hickeys on her neck even though they hadn't done anything the previous night and watched as she was skittish at trying to hide any messages or texts on her phone. Sasuke just thought he was overthinking. It's Naruko, she would never. Sure he had been away a lot but that didn't mean she would jump into bed with a random guy.

"I know you probably think I've been drinking... but I caught them... in bed. I... I couldn't handle it so I ran and this is how you found me."

Sasuke saw red, he believed her. She was Naruko's best friend and would never lie about either of them like this.

Still, this was Naruko, his girlfriend, the love of his life. They would talk about their feelings, she was always there for him. Made him a better man, so why?

Why?

"What about Sakura? She's your friend, she didn't do anything to you. She was by your side so why did you sleep with her boyfriend of all people." At that Naruko remained silent and looked away. Akito seemed to have shut up as well, oh so they hadn't forgotten about her. Or rather they did, it was just easier putting all the blame on Sasuke.

"I see... so this is all my fault but you suddenly remember you've hurt someone else in the process eh?"

"Sasuke... I swear this wasn't... it wasn't meant to go like this." Naruko begged, cried. The Uchiha only tsked in response, how could she think anything they said would defend this.

He felt sick to his stomach, no wonder Sakura was throwing up. It's bad enough being betrayed by your partner but your friend as well?

Maybe it would be better if he took her home.

"It doesn't matter, let's go Sakura."

"What do you think you're doing?" Akito narrowed his eyes as the Uchiha gently took hold of Sakura's hand. She was still so cold.

"Someone has to take her home in this weather, I assume that won't be you." Again Akito said nothing and looked away. Naruko was still crying apologising but it wouldn't do any good.

She lost them both.

It was quiet in the car, neither one said anything. What was there to say? They had both been cheated on and lied to by their most precious people/person.

Tears started to gather in Sakura's eyes and she went to sleep thankful for Sasuke taking her home.

Yes I know, another new story. Even though I should be finishing off the others. I'm sorry.

This is a little bit different from my usual, but it had been on my mind for a while and finally managed to write something. Like I said this isn't something I'm used to writing but isn't the point of being a writer to go outside your comfort zone?

At most I'm hoping to just make this a 4 chapter fic (maybe 5 depending on how it goes)
