Hey guys! So I wanted to start a new story. This idea has been in my head for a month, so I decided to finally write it down! Also if you guys see some mistakes in my writing please don't criticize it! Also if you're being rude, just know that I'm going to delete it (the comment, enough hate already, we need to be kind to people). Also this will usually go from Annabeth to Percy, I'm not really going to do other people, like Piper or Jason. (Everyone who's alive to PJO to HoO will stay alive. I still refuse to believe that Jason is dead).

Chapter One: Annabeth

It's been a while since I wrote here, but there was a lot that happened. Not only that, but I also almost died. I don't know where to start. So as usual, I'm going to start at the beginning...

I was sitting at my vanity reading a book, nobody really reads anymore, not since the war. Most of the books were burned, and the ones that weren't are really expensive. Convincing my dad to give me one from his collection was a problem, but he reluctantly agreed.

I was so lost in thought that I barely heard the knock on the door. As I got up I heard a voice outside, "Princess? Your brother is requesting your presence!" A silver voice sounded out. I smiled to myself knowing that Piper was outside. I rushed to open the door.

"Piper! I thought you didn't come back for another week!" I wrapped my arms around my childhood best friend. She squeezed back.

"I was but my mom decided to surprise everyone," Piper rolled her eyes before continuing. "I wasn't mad but you know how mom is." I nodded.

"Well anyways my mom will probably be a bit angry with her, but what can you do?" I shrugged.

"Oh your mom was livid!" Piper was grinning now. "My mom burst into the room and started shrieking and hugging Queen Athena. I could see the hatred in her eyes. I loved it!"

I burst out laughing. That seemed like Lady Aphrodite.

"So! Anything new... any boys?" Piper gave me a smug smile knowing my answer.

"No. Mother told me that I have until the end of next month to find a suitor or she'll find one for me. She said, and I quote, "Annabeth Chase you are turning 18 in three months, and you still have no husband! You are lucky I was letting you find your own. But since it's been 2 years since you said that, I'm going to find one for you." Then I started to beg her to let me find one, and then she said, "Fine! You have until the end of the next month or else I'll find one for you."

Piper put a hand to her mouth, "Oh that ghastly! I never thought that she would do that. At least you have a choice! My mom separated my fiancé and his girlfriend for him to be with me."

I frowned remembering how Piper sobbed the day she found out she was to be married.

"I want to be able to choose! I want to get married for love! Not for something as dumb as this! It's not my fault mother blows all our money on alcohol!" Piper was clawing at her eyes. I rushed over to her and grabbed her hands.

"Piper what happened?" I had asked her. After a few seconds she looked at me, her red stained face.

"My mom," She took a deep breath. "She is forcing me to marry a guy." I looked at her and cupped my hand on her face urging her to go on. "She told me five minutes ago. She is making me marry a prince from a far away land. For heavens sake! He had a girlfriend!"

"Oh my god! When are you getting married?"

"In a few months. Mother wants to pick out my dress." She rubbed her eyes. "I hate her. I want to be able to live my own life!"

I tried to lift the corners of my mouth up but failed. "I'd run away but everyone already knows how I look like. It probably isn't possible." I rolled my neck and cracked my knuckles. "Well one day I'll figure it out. And we can run away together."

"You said that 3 years ago." Piper rolled her eyes once more before turning around. "Your mother called you by the way!" She yelled as she walked down the hall.

That's the end! I really want to know how you like it. I know it was pretty short but next chapter will be way longer. This was just a get to know you chapter basically.
