Am I You or Are You Me?

On top of juvenile awkwardness, Yuzu Itadori has to deal with a powerful curse inside her. However, the connection between Yuzu and Ryomen Sukuna is closer than it seems. A re-interpretation of "Jujutsu Kaisen" with some tweaks and a female Yuji Itadori. Warning: Some mature content. Reader discretion is advised.

1. Chapter 1

Yuzu Itadori, the one with superhuman strength, rejected the track and field team. Despite her natural athletic talent, she prefers the occult club. According to the people at her high school in Sendai, Japan, this was an unusual choice. Why would someone with athletic prowess not want to take the chance in honing their talent?

The truth is, Yuzu's very filial to her paternal grandfather, Wasuke Itadori. With neither of her biological parents around, Wasuke stepped in and raised Yuzu the best he could. They're not your typical nuclear family, but what choice did she have? Yuzu may have been ostracized by her peers at some point, but she's grateful to have at least one parental figure in her life. As the good and filial granddaughter, Yuzu assisted Wasuke to the hospital when he got very sick and would regularly visit him whenever she can (even after school). Though Wasuke stubbornly denies her visits, he is secretly content that one of his kin is still alive.

Then, tragedy struck. Wasuke tried to tell Yuzu (as grandparent and grandchild) about her biological parents, but couldn't due to his sudden death. Fortunately, he did tell her something in his last breath. "Yuzu, you're a strong girl. In all due respect, please help as many people as you can. Don't end up alone like me." Yuzu grieved and held her grandfather's hand before reporting his death on the hospital's first floor.

Yuzu was about to sit down and reflect in the hospital lobby when a mysterious boy around her age stood beside her spot. She sized him up. He is fairly tall for a teenage boy, but his features are quite soft. Including his fair skin, bright green eyes (paired with long eyelashes), and spiky, dark blue hair, he appears to be the perfect contrast to Yuzu's shorter height, tan skin, light brown eyes, and wavy/pink shoulder-length hair (with some black highlights). In her mind, there would've been some fangirls (and possibly fanboys) around that are in awe at the very boy's cool, beautiful, and handsome aura. With the current situation, however, this scenario seems very unlikely.

"Who are you and why are you here?" asked Yuzu. The mysterious boy introduces himself. "My name's Megumi...Megumi Fushiguro."
