A new year is upon us everyone. I know things are still difficult for some, but I'm gonna give it my all. Starting with this chapter.
Keisuke's share of the team tamed Palkia, controller of space thanks to the assistance of UlforceVeedramon and Kentaurosmon. Blue Eyes in the meantime defeated Ice. Meanwhile with Ami and the remainder of the group...
When Solana and her cut of the team caught up to Ami on the room to the west, she was leaning her head against Rosemon who wrapped her arms around the young girl and tried to comfort her. "There, there Ami. You were brave. I'm proud of you."
Solana, Lunick, Nokia, Yuuko, Keith, and Rand stopped in front of her. "Ami? Are you okay?" Yuuko asked.
"Arata hates me now." Ami murmured. "I just know it."
"What? That's crazy!" Rosemon replied.
"She's right, you don't know that!" Lunick said. "You just…caught him by surprise! That's all!"
"What he said!" Nokia nodded. "Arata never said he hatted you at all! And if he did, I'd smack him for it!"
"I didn't even think before I…" Ami was too embarrassed to say anything more then that."
Solana gripped her shoulder and turned her around. "Ami, look at me." The Cyber Sleuth stared at the Ranger through her tear filled eyes. Solana had never seen such a tear stained, red face. "What you did was…unexpected. But I wouldn't go as far to say it was wrong. You were just trying to show your honest feelings. Besides, it's better this then never letting him know. Whatever happens next, someday you'll be able to appreciate that you tried instead of being quiet about it."
"But…but what if this changes things between us forever?"
"It won't. Arata will still care about you as his friend." Yuuko said. "We've all been friends for so long, and friends overlook each others mistakes. Just as you and Takumi did mine, remember?"
"Yuuko…"
Rosemon smiled at Ami. "They're right, Ami. Arata isn't the type of person to begrudge you for it."
"And you left before he could process anything. What makes you so sure he doesn't like you back?" Nokia smiled as she walked over to Ami and pulled on her cheeks. "He'd be crazy not to love this cute, and brave girl!"
"H-hey, cut it out!" Ami pulled her hands off of her.
"There's that smile!"
Ami didn't even notice she was smiling again. She wiped the last of her tears from her eyes. Rand walked up to her. "I'm sure thing will work out between you and Arata Ami. You're still young after all. But first we have a Evil Ruler to deal with."
"Rand's right." Keith nodded. "Let's save Oblivia. Then we can get you your happy ending."
"Okay." Ami nodded.
"Alright, let's get moving." Yuuko said as the team went further in. Before Nokia could pass her Ami grabbed her hand.
"Ami?"
"Nokia…If things really can work with me and Arata…I'm sure they will with you and my brother. I mean that."
Nokia's cheeks turned a tad red. "Thanks."
As Ami walked ahead, Solana smiled. "That girl really is one of a kind. Hey, Nokia?"
"Yeah?"
"If Arata makes her cry sometime after you all go back to your world, do me a favor and slug him for me, okay?"
Nokia grinned. "Heh, heh, heh! Of course! I was planning on that from the beginning!"
"Should I punch him as well Nokia?" Omnimon asked. "I know you wanted all of us to after he lost his way and fused with an Eater, but Takumi beat us to it and we ended up leaving it at that."
"Definitely! And don't hold anything back!"
Solana sweat dropped as she watched Nokia and her partner hurry to catch up with the others. "Wow. Now I almost feel bad. Well as long as that "punch" isn't with the sword or cannon sticking out of his hands."
As the caught up to the group, Yuuko looked around. "According to Ben and Summer, this is where Kasa of The Societea was hiding."
Rand let out a sigh. "I still can't believe Kasa, Arley, Hocus and Edward of all people were responsible for the events with the Pokemon Pinchers."
"Not everyone is what they always seem Rand." Ami replied.
Keith thought back to one of his teachers. And the President of Altru Inc. "Tell me about it…"
Ami looked to the left. There was an open door leading outside. "What's over here?" She looked over the edge to see a long drop to a bridge on the side of the fortress she could barley make out.
"That's quite a drop." Solana muttered. "Is there anything down there?"
"I can't tell from here."
"Maybe our flying Pokemon and Digimon can get us down there safely."
Just then a Gliscor hissed as it rammed into Ami and Solana from behind and trapped them in it's grip as it carried them downward. "Ami!" Rosemon flew after it.
"Everyone, on Moltres!" Keith said as he climbed onto the legendary bird he was given.
Rosemon whipped Gliscor once it was close to the ground and it dropped Ami and Solana onto the floor. Moltres got to the ground along with Ominmon, ShineGreymon and the rest of the team. "Hey, are you two alright?!" Rand asked.
"Y-yeah…" Solana grunted as she and Ami stood up.
They heard a laugh and looked in front of them. Kincaid stood in front of them with his Drapion. His Gliscor flew over to him. "Oh, you." Ami groaned.
"We meet again, Cyber Sleuth. And Keith, so glad you could join us for today's lesson."
"Well, well." Keith punched into an open palm. "I guess I should thank you for saving us the trouble of hunting you down."
"Kincaid, why are you siding with Sabios?" Yuuko asked. "Whatever he's planning it could mean the end of the world!"
"I don't care."
"What?! How could you say that?!" Nokia asked.
"All I care about is getting my revenge on the Pokemon Rangers. If it weren't for those brats, I'd be the on at the top of this world by now."
"Your obsession with your ego is pathetic." Rand said.
"Silence! I will not be mocked! This time I'll crush every last one of you pathetic Rangers under my heel!" He held up his Dynavice. It started blinking red. When everyone heard a sound behind them, they looked at the wall at their backs. Six round, blinking, circular devices started glowing the same color. "Come! Power Shift!"
A bright, pinkish light emitted from the devices and formed a circular dome covering a huge area. "What is his?!" Omnimon asked.
"This is what he did last time!" Ami said. "He's going to use Dynamax!"
"Dynamax?! That thing from Galar that lets Pokemon grow to gigantic size?!" Solana asked.
Kincaid laughed. "That black-armored freak isn't here to save you now!"
"Alphamon might not be here, but I still have my partner and my friends here with me!" Ami replied.
"That's right!" Yuuko said. "We'll protect Ami no matter what!"
"You tell him Yuuko!" Nokia stood tall with her friends. "So, bring it on you jerk!"
Kincaid laughed as he held up his Dynavice. "You asked for it you twerps!" He sent both Drapion and Gliscor into his device. At started to glow pink. Just then three fireballs and three shadowy orbs flew into the six devices and destroyed them. "What?! My precious creations!" The Dynavice stopped glowing.
"Huh. That works." Keith said. "Why didn't we think of that?"
"I'm more curious about who did that Keith." Rand said.
A Charizard roared as it glided onto the bridge. As it landed they saw a man mounting it. A man with grey hair dressed in purple. Solana and Lunick gasped. "You!" Solana murmured.
"Are you the one who destroyed my hard work!?" Kincaid growled. "Answer me!"
The ridder ignored him as he climbed down. "Feels like a lifetime, doesn't it, Lunick and Solana?"
Suicune, and Riakou growled at the man. Entei gazed at him. "What's gotten into you guys?" ShineGreymon asked.
"I can't be…" Lunick whispered. "Gordor?!"
Rand blinked. "This man is Gordor…?"
"You know this old guy?" Nokia asked.
"He…he was the founder of team Go-Rock Squad." Lunick replied.
"Go-Rock Squad?" Ami asked. "Those outlaws that gave you trouble in Fiore?"
"What's he doing here?" Rosemon asked.
Solana's eyes were still on the man. "You got me. The last time we saw him, he was helping us retrieve a Manaphy Egg from his former gang. He said he was trying to atone for his past."
Lunick looked at the Pokemon with the man. It stared at him and his partner. "This Charizard…is it the one who-
"The same. And I still am trying to atone for my actions. I'll be doing just that for the rest of my life." Gordor replied. He then looked at Entei, Raikou and Suicune. "I can imagine it's not easy to forgive me after the things I've done to you. But even if I can never earn your forgiveness, I owe it to you to at least try."
Solana stood in front of the legendary trio. "Guys…I know you don't like Gordor, but he truly regrets what he did. Even if you can't forgive him, can you at least try to trust him?" Raikou and Suicune stopped growling and straightened up.
Gordor looked up. "In any case, I am not the only one seeking forgiveness for foolish actions."
"Huh?" Lunick stared at him. "What do you mean?"
A Dusknoir floated down next to him. Riding on it was a man with black hair and moustache with a pair of shades on. "Y-you're…" Keith stuttered so much he couldn't finish his sentence.
The man stared at Kincaid. "Still causing trouble for others I see."
Kincaid recognized this man. "It…it can't be! Blake Hall?!"
"Blake Hall vanished along with the darkness that threatened to swallow Almia. The Pokemon Rangers pulled me out of his dark shadow and showed me the light. I am Wyatt Hall."
"Keith, who is this man?" Yuuko asked.
"He's the former president of Altru Inc. And the one who lead Team Dim Sun in their plan to control all the Pokemon in Almia…I heard you left the region after what happened."
Blake-Or rather Wyatt Hall pressed his shades against his face. "On that dark day when I let my heart be swallowed by the influence of that vile crystal, I allowed myself to be twisted into something that never should have existed. And as a result, I drove my family's legacy-My father's legacy-into the mud. Altru was created for the sake of helping others. And then I used it solely for myself. So many suffered. Both humans and Pokemon. And for what?"
"But that wasn't your fault! The circumstances weren't something you could control!"
Wyatt glanced at Keith with a faint smile. "You sound just like Professor Hastings. Even if that was the work of fate, it does not change that what happened was done by my own hands. That is why I have been on a pilgrimage to atone for my crimes."
" …"
Kincaid laughed. "You came all the way here just for that?"
Wyatt brought his attention to his former subordinate. "Kincaid…I am the one who dragged you down this dark path with me. Made you into the villain you are now. As your former boss who did this to you, I at the very least owe you an apology." He straightened up and bowed. "I am deeply, and truly sorry."
"It's like he's a completely different person without that Shadow Crystal affecting him." Keith said.
Wyatt raised his head. "However, the crimes you committed are as much yours as they are my own. And even now, you continue to harm others to satisfy your black heart. Cease this foolishness Kincaid. It's not to late to turn your back on that darkness and atone."
"Pfft…Bwa, ha, ha, ha!" Kincaid laughed at the man's statement. "You think if it weren't for you, I would have been some good doer?! Give me a break. Do you know why I worked with you, Blake Hall? Because I knew I would get a chance to drive you out and rule Alrtu-and all of Almia along with it! Just like how you overthrew your own father."
Wyatt remained silent.
"Hence why I tried to pick up where you left off and storm Altru Tower." Kincaid glared at Keith. "If it hadn't been for those meddlesome brats…!"
"Even if those youths didn't exist someone else would have defeated you. You didn't lose to them. You lost to the darkness of your own heart."
Keith snickered. "Know who sounds like the Professor?"
"Silence!" Kincaid yelled. "I'll take this nonsense no longer! As long as those brats are still around, I'll never have my way! I'll crush them all along with anyone who interferes!"
Gordor folded his arms. "Hmph. It seems like you're a lost cause."
"I was afraid it would come to this." Wyatt said. "But that is why I am here. For atonement for my crimes. Kincaid…if you're so obsessed with your ago that you refuse to accept the consequences of your actions…"
"Then we'll force them on you!" Gordor faced Kincaid. "Lunick! Solana! Leave this ignorant buffoon to us!"
"What?" Lunick asked. "But we need to defeat him to get to the top of the Fortress."
"There is something else in this area you must fight to move on."
"Someone other then Kincaid?" Rand asked. "Is it Ice or Lavana?"
"No. When we were arriving, we spotted the legendary Pokemon Giratina." Wyatt replied.
"Giratina?!" Ami gasped.
"A powerful Pokemon like that must not be allowed to run amok." Gordor said. "After all, should that Pokemon appear as well…"
"That Pokemon?" Rosemon asked.
"You must hurry." Wyatt said. "The two of us will handle Kincaid."
"But-
He interrupted Keith as he was about to object. "This is my responsibility as the former leader of Team Dim Sun. Now go!"
"Don't get in my way!" Kincaid ordered as Gliscor and Drapion charged. Charizard intercepted the Flying/Ground Pokemon and Dusknoir clashed with Drapion.
Yuuko grabbed Keith's shoulder. "Let's go. Trust them."
Nokia looked at her. "But Yuuko-
"They want to make up for the things they've done. Who are we to deny them that?"
Solana reluctantly turned around. "Alright. Let's go!"
"Right." Lunick nodded and they hurried to the nearby doorway.
"What is this place?" Rand asked looking around. The room they were in contained Calumon, Mewtwo and Arcadiamon when Ben stumbled upon it three months ago.
"Looks like a hidden lab of some sort." Lunick replied.
Ami spotted a staircase. "Look! A way out!" She led them back up the stairs and to the area they were previously in before they were attacked by Gliscor.
"Looks like we found our way back where we started." Rosemon said.
Solana looked down. "Yeah…"
"Hmm? What's wrong Solana?" Rand asked.
"It's just…The Gordor I once knew was selfish. Egotistic, and cruel. It's almost like he's a different person now."
"I know what you mean." Lunick said.
"What exactly did Gordor do in Fiore?" Yuuko asked.
Lunick turned to her. "He tried to use Suicune, Entei, and Raikou to cause disasters through the region."
"Entei, Suicune and Raikou?" Omnimon said, looking at the nearby Pokemon. "So that's why they were acting weary of Gordor."
"Then he'd have his team "tame" them and "save" Fiore and make them heroes and prove the Pokemon Rangers obsolete."
"That's awful!" Nokia said. "He did all that just to show up you guys?! Why did he have to go that far?!"
"Hmmm…" Everyone looked at Rand who had a hand on his chin and his eyes on the floor. "Could it be…?"
"Rand? Do you know something about Gordor?" Keith asked.
"Well, mind you this is only a rumor I heard way back when I was in school. Apparently Gordor and Hastings used to be colleges. They were working on something to link people and Pokemon. Some say it was the Capture Styler."
"What?" Solana gasped.
"I had no idea someone other then Professor Hastings was involved with the creation of the Capture Styler!" Keith said. "I wonder if Principal Lamont or Chairperson Erma knew…"
"But apparently they had a falling out of some sort long ago." Rand said. "Perhaps that has something to do with Gordor's desire to replace the Pokemon Rangers with his own team?"
"Maybe." Lunick said. "Whatever the case, I'm glad he's put that behind him."
"Maybe what we just saw is more like Gordor when he and the Professor were still friends." Yuuko suggested. "People can change for the worst."
"You'd know quite a bit about that, huh Yuuko the Black hearted?" Ami whispered.
"You are never going to let that go, are you!?" Yuuko glared.
"Easy you two." Solana said. "We don't need you having a falling out that leads to another Go-Rock Squad."
"Well, Yuuko and Ami did unintentionally provide us with an example of how friends can disagree or argue at times." Lunick said. "But that doesn't always break a friendship if their hearts are strong enough."
"That's true." Yuuko smiled at Ami. "Even if Ami is overly soft hearted to the point where she makes a constant fool of herself, she's not a bad person."
"Yeah. Same with you despite being mean and spiteful at times." Ami muttered.
"Some friendship." Solana shook her head and shrugged. Nokia laughed.
"Hearts can fall to darkness." Keith said. "If not on their own, then maybe by an outside force. Like Bla-Wyatt Hall."
"Huh?" Everyone looked at him.
"Nothing. Just muttering to myself. Anyway, we should hurry. Wyatt said Giratina was close by."
"That's right." Nokia turned to Ami. "The legendary Pokemon you and Takumi fought."
Ami nodded. "It's data should still be in my Digivice." She put on her googles and pulled up it's entry in the Browser. Giratina. Ghost/Dragon Type. It lives in the Distortion World on the reverse side of this one, where common knowledge is distorted and strange."
"I wonder if it's Griseous Orb was taken from it when it was dragged into this world again." Rosemon said.
"I sure hope not. The poor thing was searching for a thousand years to get it back."
"We'll find out when we see it." Rand said. He led the team up ahead, when two Gengar appeared.
"Look out!" Keith yelled. The Gengar cackled as they summoned ghastly orbs that floated towards them. "Moltres, Flamethrower!" The legendary bird under his command spewed fire from it's mouth, but the Gengar disappeared before they could be caught in the blaze.
"Where'd they go?" Lunick asked as they reappeared out of his line of sight.
"Lunick! Solana! Behind you!" Rand shouted.
Both Fiore Rangers glanced over their shoulders and saw the Gengar right behind them. They couldn't even turn around before their extended tongues brushed up their backs. "ACK!"
"EEK!" Solana shrieked as the Pokemon used Lick on them and both Rangers toppled over. Plusle and Minun tried to zap the Gengar, but they disappeared.
"Solona! Lunick! Are you alright?!" Ami asked.
"I…can't move." Solana grunted.
"Same here…" Lunick struggled to try to push himself off the floor.
An Ampharos jumped down and shot sparks at the team from behind, but they heard the crackling and quickly got away. When Ami, Yuuko and Nokia stopped moving, however, they were caught by surprise when three blobs of web collided into them and stuck them up against the walls with white gunk wrapping around their arms. "EEEEK!" Nokia shouted. "Eww! Where did this icky stuff come from?!"
An Ariados skittered towards them. Ami grunted as she tried to pull herself off the wall. "Oh, great."
Keith and Rand were back to back as the four Pokemon surrounded them. "You take the Gengar, I'll get the other two." Rand said.
"Deal, let's go!"
"What about us?" Omnimon asked.
"Protect your partners! Don't worry, we got this!"
"Capture on!" The Rangers shot their Stylers.
"Raikou, Thunder Fang!" Rand's Pokemon pounced at one of the Gengar and bit it. As it winced Rand started twirling his Styler around it. The other tried to attack the gadget, but Raikou shot bolts at it, letting Rand finish his capture before proceeding to the other.
Keith backflipped over a blob of web Ariados shot at him. "Moltres, keep that thing busy!" His legendary Pokemon screeched as it charged at Ariados. Keith and his Partner Pokemon faced the Ampharos. "Buizel! Hydro Pump!" Buizel shot a torrent of water into Ampharos, knocking it over. Keith took that time to tame it and then turned to the Ariados that was running away from Moltres. He hastily twirled his Styler around it and caught it. "Moltres, you can stop!"
As the bird stood down Rand finished his capture. "Good work Keith. Is everyone alright?"
Lunick helped Solana up as he got to his feet. "Yeah. Looks like we can move again."
ShineGreymon and Omnimon were in the process of carefully cutting around the web pinning Yuuko and Nokia down with their swords. Eventually they got the two off the wall.
"Can someone help me with Ami here?" Rosemon asked. "I don't have a sword, and my thorn whip isn't sharp enough."
"I'll get her down." ShineGreymon said.
Yuuko held her hand in front of him. "Wait."
"Uh, Yuuko?" Ami asked nervously. "I'd kinda appreciate it if I could get off this wall now."
Yuuko gave her a surprising mischievous smirk. "And why would someone "black hearted" and "spiteful" like me help you?"
"Y-Yuuko?" Ami shuddered as Yuuko got close. A hand reached in and Ami felt fingers brush her neck. "Yeeeek! D-don't do that!"
"Say you're sorry." Yuuko continued to tickle Ami's neck.
"Heh, heh, heh! I'm sorryheheheheh!" Ami giggled.
Yuuko smiled and petted Ami on the head. "Good girl."
"Hey, let me try that!" Nokia walked over and tickled the other side of Ami's neck. "Say Nokia Shiramine is number one~!"
"Nohohohohoho!" Ami was flailing her legs, and gasping for air at this point.
Solana laughed and walked over to them. "Tell you what you two, if you want to have fun torturing Ami, I'll catch a Bug Pokemon to web her up for you to tickle later, but right now we got a job to do and we need her conscious for it."
"We'll hold you to that." Yuuko smiled. "Okay ShineGreymon. You can let her down."
"Right." Yuuko's Digimon chuckled as he freed Ami from her web.
She fell on her knees gasping for air. "Ha…ha…I'll…I'll get you two for this…"
"I never pegged you for the mischievous sort." Rand grinned at Yuuko.
"She was like that when we were playing in EDEN as kids." Nokia replied. "She scared Takumi by jumping out of a tire in front of him. I've never seen him freak out so much."
"Ha, ha! You were quite the mischievous little scamp, huh Yuuko?" Keith laughed.
"W-well...I…" Yuuko blushed, averting their gaze.
"What happened changed you a lot Yuuko." Ami smiled. "But it look's like you're also slowly becoming who you used to be. Just like Wyatt and Gordor."
"I guess…" Yuuko muttered. "But enough of that! Let's find Giratina!" She then ran on ahead.
"Aww! Yuuko's shy!" Nokia teased.
"Come on, let's hurry." Rand said. "We can reminisce latter."
The team reached the arena Ben and Summer fought Kasa three months ago. Only Giratina was waiting for them instead. "Is that it Ami?" Rand asked.
The teen nodded. "Yes. It's been a long time, Giratina. You're still in your Origin Form. That's a relief. You didn't lose your Griseous Orb again."
The Pokemon's eyes were red. It looked down at the humans and the Digimon/Pokemon accompanying them. It let out a mighty roar. "Gugyaaaah!"
"Sabios did this to you…"
"Then there's only one thing to do." Lunick said as he, Solana, Keith and Rand aimed their Stylers.
"Agreed." Nokia said. "We just need to beat some sense into it!" The Digimon got into fighting positions.
"Capture on!" the Rangers shot their Stylers forward. They looped around Giratina before the six tendrils on the Pokemon's back sunk into the ground. Black shadows appeared under the Stylers and the spikes rose up, knocking them aside. As the Rangers pulled back their gadgets, their allies charged.
"Saint Knuckle!" Omnimon's WarGreymon hand glowed gold as he thrusted it at Giratina. But as it's wings retracted, one of them coiled around the knight's arm and flung him into a pillar.
"Meteor Fall!" ShineGreymon threw a fiery bolder at it, but Giratina spewed blue flames that destroyed the rock.
"It's far stronger then it was last time." Ami said. "I guess it's fully accustomed to being back in it's original form. Be on your guard everyone!"
"Thorn Whip!" Rosemon's whip coiled around Giratina's head and she tried to pull at it, but the Pokemon wouldn't budge. Giratina's wings extended at her. One coiled around each of Rosemon's wrists and ankles, one around her midsection and one around her head. Her limbs were pulled apart and her head and middle were squeezed as a muffled scream was heard.
"Rosemon!" Ami shouted.
"Raikou, Wild Charge!" the Pokemon Rand had with him charged into Giratina's side while cloaked in electricity. The impact was enough to make Giratina drop Rosemon and turn it's attention to it. Giratina.
"Entei! Fire Blast!"
"Suicune, Hydro Pump!"
A star shaped burst of fire hit Giratina from the front. A stream of water collided into it from the left. The dragon howled and clouds of ominous smoke appeared around it. Said clouds formed three trails that made their way towards Raikou, Suicune and Entei. The trio retreated and ran from the ghastly smoke that moved towards them. Entei was the first to get caught in it. Raikou was eventually cornered. Suicune managed to stay away the longest, but another trail unexpectedly appeared and caught it off guard. All three of them were swallowed and trapped in ominous clouds.
ShineGreymon and Omnimon charged at Giratina, brandishing their weapons. "GeoGreysword!"
"Transcendent Sword!" They hacked and slashed at Giratina, but the sis, spikily wings on it's back swiftly blocked each swing before both Digimon took a hit to the torso.
"Omnimon!"
"ShineGreymon!" Yuuko and Nokia ran to their downed Digimon.
"Aqua Jet!" Keith's Buizel charged at Giratina cloaked in water, but was bashed aside. "Buizel!"
Plusle and Minun zapped the Pokemon. It howled in annoyance and swatted at them. But Solana and Lunick picked up their Pokemon and took the hit for them in the back, damaging their Stylers.
"This is getting out of hand…" Rand muttered. "Giratina is just too powerful!"
The Pokemon's eyes flashed as its body turned black and disappeared. "Wh-where did it go?!" Omnimon asked, as he got up.
Suddenly the whole area started to darken. "Wh-what's happening?" Nokia shuddered.
"This…this didn't happen the last time Giratina used this attack…" Rosemon said. "What now Ami? Ami?"
The Cyber Sleuth was on her knees, shaking and hugging herself. "Ami? What's wrong?!" Solana asked.
"Wait…is this her trauma acting up again?"
"Trauma?" Keith asked. "What are you talking about?"
"I'm scared…" Ami whispered. "Daddy…big brother…help…"
Rosemon hurried over to her. "Ami, get it together!"
Yuuko noticed Nokia started to tremble too. "Nokia? Are you frightened too?"
Rosemon heard a roar behind her and grabbed Ami and dove just as Giratina reappeared right behind her and charged. While avoiding the brunt of the attack it still struck Rosemon as it passed by, flinging her and Ami a good distance. She slowly got up and looked at her shivering partner. "Ami, get a hold of yourself!"
Omnimon kneeled to her terrified partner. "Nokia!"
Giratina looked down at its foes and charged up more blue fire in its mouth. "This went downhill fast…" Rand said. "We need to retreat and regroup."
"Then let's get out of here now!" Keith said. "It's powering up!"
But Yuuko stepped forward in front of it. "Anyone who want's to run can run. ShineGreymon and I will hold it back."
"What?!" Lunick gasped. "Yuuko, are you crazy!?"
"On that day eight years ago, I became frightened by the sight of the Eater. That's why my brother volunteered to distract it so we could run. And because of that, he was left behind. That's why this time I won't run away until I'm sure everyone makes it out safely!"
"Yuuko, wait!" Solana stepped forward. "I'll help too! We'll follow you guys once you all evacuate!"
"If you're staying behind, then so am I." Lunick said.
"Same here." Rand grinned. "I'm the oldest one here. It would look pathetic if you all stood up to this thing while I ran."
"Yuuko…" Nokia slowly stood up. "I-I'll stay as well!"
"Nokia, you're clearly frightened." Yuuko said. "I can-
"No, you won't! Are you just going to make yourself a sacrifice like Yuugo did?! How are we supposed to pull through if we lost you?! You of all people know how painful that is!"
Yuuko looked at her in surprise. "Nokia…Thank you."
"Guys, I'm all for the friendship speech, but are we gonna run, or stay and fight?!" Keith said. "Someone, pick quickly, Giratina's ready to attack!"
"ShineGreymon!"
"Understood." Yuuko's Digimon held the GeoGreysword in front of him.
Giratina shot a stream of blue fire right at Yuuko and ShineGreymon. "Get out of there!" Rand yelled.
"We won't retreat." SineGreymon started spinning the blade like a propeller. "We'll stand our ground!" Blue fire flew everywhere as he blocked the attack with his weapon. After a few seconds he started sliding back.
"I believe in you ShineGreymon!" Yuuko said. "Stand strong! This time…We will protect everyone!" She took out her Digivice and it glowed white. The light grew up her arm and coated her body.
Ami stared at her as she shinned. "Yuuko…"
A white aura formed around ShineGreymon and his spun the GeoGreysword faster. "Haaaaaaaaaaaa!" Giratina stopped shooting fire and ShineGreymon threw his weapon. "YAH!" Giratina roared in pain as it sashed at him. "RAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" The white aura around ShineGreymon glowed brighter.
"Here we go partner!" Yuuko declared as her Digivice displayed text.
BURST DIGIVOLUTION
A small white diamond flew from the screen over to ShineGreymon a white shell formed around him. "ShineGreymon Burst Digivolve to…" There was a laud crackling before he burst through the shell. His armor was now entirely red and white and the tip oh his tail was on fire. In one hand he had a sword made of flames and another a fiery shield. Instead of wings, red flames trailed from his back. "ShineGreymon Burst Mode!"
Everyone looked at the new form. "Amazing…" Lunick breathed.
Solana scanned him. "ShineGreymon Burst Mode! A form of ShineGreymon that brings out the limits of it's abilities. It wears a aura of solar-class high-energy flames!"
Yuuko held her serious expression. "I won't run away anymore! Just as Ami and Takumi taught me, I'll keep moving forward with my friends by my side! That is what it means to be strong!"
"Well said, young human!"
Everyone looked around as they heard a new voice. "Huh? Who's there?" Keith asked.
"Plasma Shot!" Four golden spheres flew into the arena and exploded as they hit Giratina. And before anyone could ask who sent that attack, a blued Digimon clad in gold armor flew to the ground at high speed. It slowly stood up and faced Giratina. "And I couldn't agree more!"
Omnimon turned to the Digimon in surprise. "Magnamon!?"
"Magnamon? Omnimon, who is this guy?" Keith asked. "He actually did some serious damage to Giratina…"
"That's one of Omnimon's friends!" Nokia said. "One of the Royal Knights!"
Rand scanned the Digimon. "Magnamon. A Free Type Armor Digimon that Digivolved through the power of the Digi-Egg of Miracles. It possesses incredible defensive abilities and it's offensive power can match and even surpass that of Mega Level Digimon."
Giratina roared at Magnamon and prepared to attack again. "Lightning Joust!" A spear of light hit it in the head and Gallantmon descended next to his ally. "Sorry to keep you waiting my friends."
"Gallantmon, you brought Magnamon here?" Omnimon asked.
"Indeed. As per Alphamon's request, UlforceVeedramon and I worked with Tokomon, Calumon, Rythmi and Nema to open a small wormhole to summon our comrades. Magnamon, Jesmon, and Kentaurosmon joined us in this world."
"That makes six Royal Knights here in Oblivia!" Nokia gasped. "Is it really okay for all of you to be away from the Digital World?!"
"You humans have fought for the Digimon stranded in this world." Magnamon said. "Now it is time to repay that debt!"
"Thank you." Yuuko said.
Omnimon flew over to his fellow Royal Knights. "Gallantmon…Magnamon…With the three of us and all our allies standing here with us, we cannot lose!"
Ami looked at the three of them. She slowly got to her feet. "Everyone…"
"Ami!" Rosmon held her. "Don't push yourself."
"I have to…I can't let this fear…this weakness keep me back forever…" She looked at her gloved hand. "I have to push myself past my limits. It's the only way to protect my friends…"
"Ami…" Rosemon's body started to glow green. "Alright. We'll do it together."
"Rosemon…" A green light shined from Ami's Digivice that coated her in an emerald light. "Thank you…"
BURST DIGIVOLUTION
"Rosemon Burst Digivolve to…Rosemon Burst Mode!"
Ami slowly opened her eyes. "Even if I'm scared, I can't stop pushing myself forward." Ami whispered. "I'll face my fears. Face myself."
Nokia went over to Yuuko. "A brave notion, but don't think you have to face your problems alone. You and Takumi taught me that there's no need for me to do everything myself." Yuuko took hold of Ami's hand. "So, I want you to rely on me as well."
Nokia grabbed Ami's other hand. "You can count on me as well Ami Whammy!"
"Nokia…Yuuko…Thanks." Ami smiled. "I'm glad I met both of you, as well as Arata and Yuugo that fateful day."
Rosemon Burst Mode, ShineGreymon Burst Mode and Omnimon stood together against Giratina. Gallantmon raised his lance. "Come my friends! We will rise to the challenge!"
"Tokomon told me that he and Lopmon have grown fond of this world." Magnamon said. "I will not allow it to be destroyed!"
Solana, Lunick, Keith and Kate stepped forward. Raikou, Suicune and Entei burst free from the ominous clouds. "You know what guys?" Solana smirked. "I'm starting to think we don't need to retreat."
"Yeah, if those guys can keep fighting, so will I!" Lunick declared.
Giratina howled as his wings extended and thrusted at the enemies before him. They all leapt out of the way as the spikes crashed into the ground. Giratina spewed another Dragon Breath, but ShineGreymon Burst Mode and Gallantmon ran in front of the group and blocked it with their shields. ShineGreymon turned his shield into a second sword of flames and leapt into the air, before diving towards Giratina and slashing it with both weapons with a vertical swing. As it stumbled back, he jumped back so Omnimon could swipe horizontally. "Transcendent Sword!"
Giratina growled in pain as it's eyes glowed. Huge rocks in the form of Ancient Power rose up and were hurled at them, knocking them back. Rosemon Burst Mode jumped at Giratina, but one of the extending wings wrapped around her ankle and slammed her into the ground.
"We need to slow that thing down!" Keith said.
"Time to put Raikou to work then." Rand said. "Lunick, Solana, think your partners can back us up?"
"You got it!" Luncik replied.
"Plusle, Minun, lend Raikou your strength!" Solana instructed. Plusel and Minun jumped onto Raikou, and the three of them howled as they summoned lightning that crashed down onto them.
"Go! Wild Charge!" As they glowed gold with electricity Raikou charged into Giratina with everything it had. Giratina struggled to push it back.
"Spark!" Plusle and Minun leapt off Raikou's back and divebombed into Giratina, weakening it to the point where Raikou could charge through so fast and hard Giratina was sent flying.
"Suicune, you're up next!" Solana said.
"Buizel, give the big guy a boost!" Keith ordered.
Buizel stood next to Suicune. "Hydro Pump!" The two of them shot a violent torrent of water that pushed Giratina out of the balcony and into the sky. It growled as it glared at them before vanishing into thin air again. Just like before the area grew dark.
Ami shivered as it became harder to see. Nokia gripped her hand. "Stay Strong Ami."
Yuuko tightened her grip on the other. "We're here with you. You don't need to be afraid."
"Nokia…Yuuko…I'm okay. As long as my friends are with me, I have nothing to fear."
"That's right Ami." Magnamon nodded. "Fear is an illusion created from the shadows of your mind. And like all shadows…" His armor started to glow. "They shall disappear in the light! S-Gold Solar Beam!" His body burst with golden anergy that dispelled the darkness around them and blasted Giratina as it reappeared right in front of him.
Gallantmon held his shield forward. "Stand your ground with your friends by your side, Ami! The allies that stand by your side will give you courage!"
Omnimon stood next to his left with the Garuru Cannon out. "And that courage will give you the power to make your dreams a reality!"
Magnamon stood in between them. "That is how miracles are born!"
"Shield of the Just!"
"Supreme Cannon!"
"Plasma Shot!" The three Royal Knights fired simultaneously, slamming Giratina with three shining attacks at once.
"Nice work!" Keith said. "I'm about to turn up the heat. Yo, Lunick! Yuuko! Mind backing me up here?"
"You got it!" the Ranger grinned.
Yuuko nodded. "You can count on us."
"Alright! Moltres! Attack with Heat Wave!"
"Entei! Fire Blast!"
"ShineGreymon, hit it with everything you got!"
As Moltres' wings glowed red and a star-shaped flame formed in Entei's mouth ShineGreymon Burst Mode roared as the flames on his back erupted and a sphere of fire glowed around him. "Final Shining Burst!" As he shot red flames forward Moltres flapped it's wings, sending a burning wave with it along with Entei's burst of fire. Giratina was engulfed with fire. When it could see through the flames it spotted Rosemon Burst Mode with a hand on her mouth.
"Aguichant Lèvres!" She fired pink lasers at it, that pushed it out of the fires. It slowly landed on the ground.
"It stopped moving." Yuuko said. "Rand, Keith, Solana, Lunick, try performing a Capture with it."
The Rangers nodded and launched their Stylers. They looped around Giratina repeatedly until it closed its eyes. "Is it okay?" Nokia asked.
Ami walked over to the downed Pokemon and gently rested her hand on it. Giratina let out a small groan as it opened its eyes. They were no longer glowing. "Giratina…I'm so sorry. Are you okay?"
The Pokemon slowly faced it's head towards her as she stroked it. "Looks like the big guy will make it." Lunick said.
Rand let out a deep breath. "Sure didn't make that easy for us. That's a legendary Pokemon for you."
"It's a good thing we had legendary Pokemon on our side." Yuuko smiled. "You guys did a good job handling them for the first time."
Solana grinned. "Well, Lunick and I have a bit of history with Entei, Suicune, and Raikou."
Omnimon turned to his fellow knights. "The two of you were also essential for this fight. Thank you both."
"No worries. I'm just glad we managed to reach you." Magnamon replied. "Gallantmon and the others already explained the situation. I'll admit, I'm having a hard time keeping up with all that's happened here. But while I may have been too late to help you with any of your battles before, know that I will aid you from here on out."
"Here, here." Gallantmon nodded.
"Thank you everyone." Ami smiled. "I think for a moment there, I started getting past my old fears."
"That's what we friends are for Ami." Nokia smiled. "Right Yuuko?"
The raven-haired teen nodded. "Absolutely. You were always there for us Ami. Know we'll always be ready to return the favor."
Ami looked at Giratina. "If Sabios placed Giratina here, then the ones guarding the door…"
"Are the creation trio." Rand concluded. "Not his three commanders. Ben and the others must have their hands full."
"UlforceVeedramon, Jesmon, and Kentaurosmon went to help them." Gallantmon said.
"Still, we'd best head back and make sure everyone's okay." Yuuko said.
"Yuuko, we can't just leave Giratina here like this." Lunick said.
"Gallantmon and I can look after him for you." Magnamon said.
"Are you sure?" Omnimon asked.
Gallantmon nodded. "Just as Lunick said we cannot abandon Giratina. But we also cannot abandon our other friends or give Sabios more time to scheme."
Magnamon nodded. "As much as I hate to leave everything on your shoulders again, I am confident that you humans can save this world. Just as you did ours."
"Okay!" Nokia nodded. "Leave everything to us!"
"Shall we head back then?" Yuuko asked. Everyone nodded.
As the team left Gallantmon and Magnamon alone with Giratina, the golden knight looked up. "Humans from two different worlds, Digimon, and these Pokemon all working together…Gallantmon...what you told me about the dream you share with the humans to make a world where we can exist peacefully with them…I feel like it can be possible if humans and Digimon like them are around. Just like Tokomon said."
"Indeed." Gallantmon nodded. "I am more then willing to entrust the future to those young ones."
