This is something that I've been putting over 1 year of dedication into for you guys. I will explain at the bottom.
This One-shot is featuring the Boku no Hero Academia world with Izuku Midoriya as the main character. Side characters are Toshinori Yagi, Camie Utsushimi, Katsuki Bakugou, and Ejiro Kirishima. Character mentions will be Tsuyu Asui, Mina Ashido, Toru Hagakure, Momo Yaoyorozu Seiji Shishikura, Mora Nagamasa, and Inasa Yoarashi. Plot will be revealed within the story. Camie and the rest of the second years that were shown in the show/manga are the same age as Izuku, and the two went to the same high school together.
Izuku will not have received One For All on the day of the U.A entrance exam, but instead at a much later date.
For the sake of the story, I'm going to place Shiketsu in the Tokushima Prefecture in Western Japan. There'll be relevance to the story later.
No song fic or OCs. Just canon characters. Songs from the show will be included.
With that, let's start.
Izuku Midoriya didn't really have it easy growing up. In a world where everyone but roughly 20% of the population had a super power, or Quirk-and in his generation where only 2% of that aforementioned twenty were powerless-he found out pretty easily that not all men were created equal. He was one of the powerless ones, a Quirkless, one could say.
Most of the quirkless don't ever make it to their twenties, either being ruthlessly murdered in the streets with the police not giving a damn, or just commit suicide from all the trauma controlling them over people treating them differently than normal human beings. Maybe when Quirks first appeared, they were the normal ones; but after so many years and generations taking over, anyone that didn't have something unique labelled them as a freak.
It was truly terrible how society changed for the worse. It was bad enough with some people just having a quirk that labelled them as 'villainy material', but Quirk Discrimination is a terrible, yet real thing. Racist? Nah, that word was eventually replaced with Quirkist, but no one ever really got in trouble for it if it was directed towards a quirkless.
Anyways, he's been dealt probably the worse hand of the Quirkless, as soon as he found out he didn't have a power of his own, he lost everyone that once called him a friend. Those he wasn't really close with didn't really care, and just abandoned him. He wasn't really upset by that. However, the betrayal of his best friend hit him differently than anyone else.
As soon as the Explosion Quirk user found out that Izuku was Quirkless, he turned on him. People who followed him for his power did the same. He did a multitude of things to the young boy. Using his quirk illegally on him, beating the snot out of him everyday, and one that will forever stay with him.
Written in Kanji, a different way of writing his first name, it was read as "Deku". Katsuki took advantage of this, and said that it stood for "Defenseless Izuku". This continued on for the next ten years, each time worse than the last.
An old man noticed all of the things that were happening to the boy at such a young age, and decided that before he willingly left for the afterlife, he would teach the kid how to defend himself with various martial arts, weaponized combat, and even how to use numerous firearms; the latter being done on private grounds as to not get into legal trouble with any authorities because guns were banned in Japan. He named his teachings the Westward Wind Dragon Style. For the moves flowed so smoothly like the westward wind, yet just as ferocious and powerful as a dragon. The most valuable technique that he taught to the boy were his famous "Cut-Ins", the fighter would take turns at extremely sharp angles, which for the normal human body, could permanently damage the ankles of the fighter. But Izuku trained his entire body, and was able to master these steps until his stamina would run dry without injury.
The man taught Izuku how to fight back for ten years. And one day, he did.
His first, as well as his final, day as a Third Year in Junior High was a tough day for him. It was okay until the teacher started to name off what everyone wanted to be. Of course, Katsuki had to make a scene and announce how he would be the only one that would make it into U.A High School from there, which the teacher decided to shit on Midoriya's good mood and announce that he wanted to go there as well.
Katsuki used his quirk illegally and blew up Izuku's desk, sending the teen back from the small, yet sudden shockwave, the teacher of course did nothing, as it was towards someone who really didn't matter in his eyes; after all, if you don't have a quirk, you're nothing. Izuku got back up and kicked the desk into the blonde's face, his aim true as a small amount of blood left the teen's forehead. The greenette waisted no time as he jumped up and threw a strong haymaker into his tormentor's face, breaking the nose as even more blood splurged everywhere. But by then, he couldn't try fighting back anymore.
The teacher saw what happened to "The Kid with the Best Quirk for Hero Work", and walked Midoriya to the Principle's office. Once they got there, the teacher lied about how Midoriya started the fight, and requested the Quirkless boy get expelled. The principle, and registered and confirmed Quirkist towards the Quirkless, almost accepted. But Izuku cut him off, just requesting to confirm a withdraw. Normally, the school would need papers signed by the child's parent to confirm, but the boy knew his mother's signature by heart, and signed it. The principal just smiled, finally having gotten rid of the last quirkless person in his school, and sat his fat ass back into the desk.
He kicked the door open, managing to smack someone with it as they slammed into the wall with the door once more slamming into him. Katsuki was walking his way, a large patch on his face as he took solace in the fact that he actually caused his tormentor to feel just a little of his pain over the years. Just before leaving the hallway to grab his bag, he exchanged a few words that seemed to momentarily shock the blonde to the core, and then left him there.
Midoriya left the grounds, walking over to a nearby beach he found that was littered with trash, scrap, and more. He found this one day on his way home from one of his Martial Arts lesson and figured that it would be the perfect place to not only do something good for the community, but also for his weight lifting. He figured that he would need more muscle if he wanted to be a Quirkless hero, so he set out to do just that.
After about eight hours of cleaning the beach, he decided to call it quits and walked home before his mother would start to worry. But fate had other plans for him as when he turned the corner, finding a whole crowd of civilians watching from behind the police barricade while the alleyway that he used to cut through to the apartment was on fire. Some sludge villain had gotten ahold of someone and was forcing the victim to use their quirk to set off the flames. Normally he would've dismissed the fight, but whenever he looked once more, his eyes connected with the person who was captured, recognizing crimson red eyes.
Childhood friend turned tormentor, Katsuki Bakugo. Izuku really wanted to walk away, seeing as how there was half a dozen heroes in the area, but then he noticed none of them moving as they were waiting for someone with a more suitable quirk to arrive.
That sent him over the edge as he ran full sprint towards the scene. He took out his boa staff-he always had one on him-took a javelin thrower's running start, and hurled it forward, stabbing the opponent directly in the eye. Once that was done, he quickly grabbed the teen and started to pull the explosion quirk user out of the sludge. He almost got him out, until he heard the famous number one hero yell out his most famous Detroit Smash. grabbing onto a nearby trash bin that was thankfully full, the poor boy was nearly sent flying as All Might didn't notice his presence, only grabbing the blonde who was too surprised to say anything.
After the villain was apprehended the heroes praised Katsuki and his quirk, while they berated the greenette for stupidly rushing in without a quirk. His response?
"At least I fucking did something. Mount Tits McGee over there had her fat ass stuck in between buildings, Kamui Twig had a stick in his ass, while Gentle Arms just sat back like a drunk dad waiting for his kids to stop fighting so he could beat the snot out of the winner! The only one that actually did something notable was BackDraft as he was putting out fires for the people inside to get out safely.
Hell! Even the Number One Hero almost killed me as collateral damage because he was only focused on the goal of taking down the bad guy in the most flashiest way possible! Even then, your praising Lord Explosion Murder over there while his own quirk was what was setting off all the fires in the first place! So you want to get onto me for not sitting on my ass and watching someone whose balls haven't even dropped yet die, while all of you did just that? Fuck all of you! None of you are real heroes! Just wanting fame and women- or in Mount Whore's case, men- instead of actually saving people!"
He pushed his way through the perplexed heroes and walked home. Katsuki tried following him to say something, but he ran with speed that the ashen-blonde couldn't keep up with.
He told his mom what happened during the day, and she agreed to sign him up for online classes, a couple of which were advanced as he was a couple years ahead in the education system. Usually someone his age would be barely learning basic Algebra or Japanese History and just only to start touching Biology, while he was studying Calculus, learning university level BioMed, and was learning about the world before even the Pre-Quirk Era.
Now having more free time instead of having to learn nothing in school, he spent his days cleaning up the community. After finishing the first beach, he went to another, as well as public parks. His actions were noticed and posted on the internet, but he never knew about it. He continued this for ten months, until he was approached by a man in a suit. He knew about the man, known for his military-styled teaching. This was Rikimaru Seichi, the Principle of Shiketsu High School.
The man approached the greenette one day during his cleaning, and offered him to continue learning at his institute. He asked the boy what he wanted to be when he grew up, and the freckled boy responded that he wanted to be a hero, even though he was classified as a QKL. The man talked with him for another couple minutes before granting him access to the hero course in Shiketsu High School. Midoriya had stars in his eyes and graciously accepted, calling his mother to let her know too.
At first she was concerned that she wouldn't be able to afford it, but then Rikimaru-Sensei told her that due her son being in the top spot in his class for academics and his fine tuning in Martial Arts and technology (the boy spent years taking apart computers, tiny robots, and much more of the sorts and either refined them, repaired, or just improved completely), that he would be entering with essentially a scholarship.
With his mom agreeing, the boy immediately started to plan out his move into the Shiketsu dorms that were on the other side of Japan. Normally, he would have to apply for Entrance exams and such, but due to him being scouted by the Headmaster of the Academy, he was able to bypass all of that. The move would be in three weeks, giving him enough time to plan out what he wants to take with him, clean up the beach, and prepare his goodbyes to his mother and anyone else he may want to have there for his send-off.
Afterwards, the block threw a real party, everyone joined in for steak, ramen, cake, and even the adults deemed him worthy to finally have some of the "good stuff". He finally felt like a normal teenager and was able to finally let loose with those he considered a second family.
The day that truly hit hard, was the day he had to say his last goodbye to his Mixed Martial Arts teacher.
For over ten years, the man had trained the young greenette to the fullest of his extent, eventually to the point where Izuku managed to surpass him a year prior to his passing. It got to the point where the teen had seen the man as a father figure, filling in that important role in his life after Hisashi's abandonment.
The old man left behind a few things to the boy. One of which were numerous weapons and firearms for his hero work. Another, was the deed to the first ever beach that Izuku cleaned. That way, if anyone were to litter there again and make it into a large garbage pile, he could rightfully sue. The rest of the will was left to his daughter.
Hashimaru Taishi was the mans's name, and his funeral was attended by only a few people; those of which being his daughter, Hashimaru Keika his granddaughter Hashimaru Arisu, and Izuku himself.
The daughter spoke a few words to Izuku, explaining that while his daughter would forever hold the number one spot in his heart after his late wife, he truly saw the greenette as the son that he never had. The younger male held back his tears, telling Keika a few of the stories that the man had told him. Some of which being about her when she was a kid. But most of which were of the Dragons of Legend, hoping that his spirit would be carried on as one of those mystical creatures into the afterlife. She smiled, and thanked the boy for making the final years of his life eventful.
The two left the house of the old man, feeling the westward wind as the sound of a dragon roaring was booming through the breeze.
Time had passed, and before he knew it, a year of training by cleaning up former public hotspots would come to a close.
He finished the final beach and let out a loud roar, one that was heard by a frail blonde man. The blonde came over to see what the ruckus was about and was surprised to see the internet sensational Wonder Boy there that had been cleaning up public areas and restoring them to their former glory, all for the community and muscle building.
He never actually was able to meet the kid, unfortunately, as the boy sped home. He tried following him, but lost him in the crowd of people that had come by to enjoy the restored hot-spot. He gave up on his search, and headed back to U.A. to overlook the entrance exams.
Izuku went home and grabbed his Boss Bluetooth Speaker(not sponsored, unfortunately) and headed towards the bathroom. Blasting his music, he found an old American tune that he liked; the name Call It Karma by Silverstein. He was singing his heart out as he washed himself, listening to the automatic shuffle playlist that came on as he prepared for his final task of the day.
Once finished, he looked at the time and remembered that the Yuuei Entrance Exams were being held at this time and decided to head over to the Bakugou Household. His own mother was at work, so he didn't need to announce his departure, and instead, grabbed his keys and made his way over.
He really never held anything against Masaru and Mitsuki. The two were always like Aunt and Uncle towards him and friendly to his mom. While Mitsuki did have a really bad temper, he knew that she never placed it onto Katsuki as his temper was shrouded by his ego, while hers was because of how she used to be a fighter back in the day. He really did love the woman, and always considered her as a second mom while Masaru kinda (but not really) played a small part of the father role. He only walked over, however, because he knew that Katsuki wouldn't be at the house. The greenette really didn't want to deal with the screaming blonde today, so he planned this out.
Knocking on the door, he wondered how the two would react to seeing him after not coming over with his mother for their get-togethers. They would probably be surprised at seeing him more bulked up, but not completely amazed. After all, the last time the Bakugos have seen Midoriya was back in April of last year, before he started his training. So he completely understood the shocked look on the mother's face when she opened the door.
"Izuku-kun? What're you doing here?" she opened the door for him to enter inside, and closed it behind them. Calling her husband, she went to the kitchen to prepare some tea for the three; well tea for the greenette and Masaru, and a bottle of beer for herself. Once the man came in, after greeting the boy, the three sat at the couch.
"So, Izuku-kun. It's been quite some time since we've seen you here, or at all. The last ten monthly meet ups, you were out at either school with Katsuki or weightlifting at those public areas." The man started off as everyone settled in.
"Actually, Masaru-san, I don't go to Aldera anymore. I got into a fight and was fixing to be expelled because the principle never liked me because he's a Quirkist asshole who loves to discriminate others."
"Yeah, I never liked that guy. Turns a blind eye to Katsuki's arrogance way too fucking much for my taste!" Mistuki joined in. "Anyways, kid, what do you do for workouts? You fucking jacked the hell up since I last saw you. Not the little twig anymore."
"I found a couple old public areas that were littered with junk, furniture, and etc. So, I cleaned them up as a double sided coin. I'd be helping the community with reopening public areas, and I'd be getting stronger every day."
"That's impressive Midoriya-kun. You know, those who clean up the community, are more heroes than the ones shown on TV these days. Doing the small stuff for others instead of finding the flashiest way to do something."
"Damn right. By the way, I saw the news back when the sludge villain caught the brat, and I gotta say, you sure as shit handed it to them. Thank you for saving Katsuki, by the way. He's an arrogant little asshole, but he's still my kid. Nice moves, by the way."
"Thank you, Auntie. And really, I just did what was supposed to be done. Didn't really help that All Might nearly sent me to Sky High with the villain, though." The three shared a laugh as they caught up with each other. Izuku telling them how he's mastered his Martial Arts, Masaru explaining how the schools need to be adjusted for releasing students into the world more prepared, and Mistuki telling them how her job keeps her head buried with paperwork, and people wanting her to model because of her Quirk and how it affects her skin. She secretes a Glycerine-like sweat, which gives her almost flawless skin because of it and companies have taken notice of this fact.
After a couple hours, the mother noticed the time and excused herself to the kitchen.
"Hey, Izuku! Are you staying for dinner? Katsuki's on his way back from U.A. entrance exams by now. Actually, I'm surprised that you're not there, what with how much you always talked about wanting to go when you were younger."
Oh, right, he hadn't told them yet.
"Well, yeah. I did want to go, but I decided that it wasn't the best place for me. Even if I did pass the exam, they probably wouldn't accept me because I'm Quirkless."
"I still find that system a load of bullshit. There's no good reason why a QKL shouldn't be accepted into the hero course. There's multiple heroes out there that essentially fight without their quirks because it's either response, or even like Eraserhead, puts them on even grounds."
"So where have you decided to go then, Izuku-kun?" The elder male asked.
"I got the equivalent of a scholarship for Shiketsu High. Full ride, even dorms."
"Dude, that's amazing! When do you leave to move out?"
"I move tomorrow. That's part of the reason I'm here, to just thank you two for everything you've done for my mom and me. I really appreciate the both of you more than you could ever imagine. And you're like a second family to me."
"Well, jeez brat. You're family as well, and are welcome over, anytime you'd like." She smiled warmly. "But you never answered my question, though."
"No, I can't stay. Mom promised me her famous katsudon and I couldn't miss that for the world. Thank you, for the offer, though."
"Anytime you're in town, don't be afraid to pop in for a quick hello every once in a while."
With that, the greenette said his goodbyes and walked out the door, quickly walking to avoid the possible chance meeting with Katsuki. The explosive blonde did not need to soil his good mood just yet. That can be future Izuku's problem, but present Izuku needs to hurry back home and finish packing his things. He saved up enough money a while back and was able to buy himself a 21XX Kawasaki Z1000 for travel, and was legal for him to drive since the legal age for motorcycles was changed to 16 with a legal license. Cars were still at age 18, though. The bike was parked inside the indoor garage if he was ever in a rush for school, his workouts, any just a trip to the store.
When he walked in, he was greeted by the smell of his mother's famous Katsudon. The woman had started to work out as well when her son started to switch up his schedules for the first time, wanting to stay as fit as she can ever be no matter what. Her body was still the same as when the two went to go figure out whether or not the young lad would even be receiving a quirk. Mitsuki even let her have some personal Glycerin products she made with her quirk for her skin.
"Hey there, Izu-kun! I'll be done soon, why don't you go wash up and I'll bring it out when you get out." "Yes, ma'am. I can't wait!"
The family of two had quite possibly the greatest last night together. Mother and son bonding was always a famous pastime for the two ever since Hisashi left them twelve years ago. But tonight, they both tried to go all out. Having fun playing board games, small little games with the neighbors, and pretty much everything that could be imagined. Hell, the woman even brought out a bottle of sake to celebrate their last night. Inko knew that after today, even though she would continue to do so, she wouldn't need to worry about him not being able to find his way. But, of course, she drank too much and was now sound asleep on the couch, no outside force could wake her up so she wouldn't be hearing the noises outside.
About three hours have passed since Izuku had gotten home, he went to the bin outside to throw away a couple bags of trash. Looking up at the stars, he knew that on the west side of Japan, the sky would look different and he would miss this view. However, his sightseeing was cut off by the sound of footsteps approaching him.
"Oi, Deku-teme. What the hell do you think you're doing?" Of course, the one person he really didn't want to see on his last day, had to be the same person that approached him at almost midnight.
"Well, Bakahatsu, I'm enjoying the sight of the stars. What about you? Your house is about three blocks behind you, and not in the same way from either Aldera or Yuuei. So what're you doing on my side of this joint?"
"You know, I was honestly surprised when I didn't see you at all during the entrance exams at Yuuei. For the written portion, they put you with the same people from your school, you know? And there I was alone, no one from my school, no green haired smartass, or anything. For someone that always talked about wanting to be a QKL hero, you didn't even show up at the closest hero school towards you. Hell, when you were removed from the school, I wasn't really surprised at the events. Hell, a whole bunch of things happened that same day, too! Like how you were the one who pulled me out of that goddamn sludge-monster. Sure, All Might did blast the fucker, but you were the one that acted first. What, were you looking down on me or something? I DIDN'T NEED YOUR FUCKING HELP DEKU!"
Izuku just stared at the ashen-blonde. Waiting for him to finish his rant before deciding to say anything. "That day, you may have not wanted my help, but you sure as hell needed it otherwise you would've died. I personally wouldn't have cared if you did-" Katsuki's eyes widened at that, "-but no one else was doing a damn thing. Hell, All Might only came by because he just happened to be passing by at the time, said so himself during the interview they had with him. But I knew who would've been upset, so I acted in a way that probably would've classified me as a vigilante if I had a quirk."
"What the he-" "It's not nice to talk over somebody, so shut the fuck up, Katsuki."
Releasing a sigh, he continued. "Right. So as to why I didn't show up today, I am already enrolled into another high school. It's not at Yuuei, but I am enrolled into one. As to where, well Mom or Aunt Mitsuki could tell you. But I personally don't want you following me just to try and belittle me.
Now, was that all you wanted?"
A twitch there, a small pop of explosion here. Izuku could plainly see that the boy in front of him was fixing to lash out in anger, but to his surprise, calmed down almost as quickly as it came.
"So all those damn years of claiming that you're going to be the only quirkless hero out here, every single one of our insulted being belted towards you, and always coming back with either a witty remark or even a desk to my fucking face, you finally decided to give up?"
"Yep! There's other careers out there that would probably work better for me. And besides. Being a hero? With all the ones out here today only doing it for the fame and money- or in your case-to legally put someone in the hospital? Yeah, no thanks. I'd rather take a bullet to the head or jump off a building. Hell, even All Might does that. You can't argue the amount he's saved over the years, but look at him. Interview after interview after villain fight after interview. Hell, that storm he caused the other day actually managed to create a tornado up north and managing to take out a couple houses."
"But hey. You probably won't last long in U.A. Not if Eraserhead's your teacher."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"You're too hostile to, quite literally, everyone. If you don't work on that attitude, I doubt you'd make it past the first day."
"Why you-" His hold on his temper was loosening. He knew it and the damn shitnerd knew it as well. But he couldn't give him the satisfaction of attacking him in a blind rage. No way.
"Deku." After calming his nerves, he called out the the greenette. The aforementioned person looked back at him with piercing eyes. "You used to be so weak and timid. Always following after me even after I treated you like shit. But you stayed there. Then one day, you completely changed. Attitude, strength, and if I knew you weren't already, smarts as well. But one thing that's always pissed me off is the fact that you were no longer a weakling. Hell, you even fought back, and won. That's why...-" he held out his arm, palm facing upwards, "-we're gonna fight. You and me, no classroom, no teacher taking you to get expelled, no crowd. Just mano y mano."
Izuku thought about it for a minute, he was intrigued by the chance to finally have an actual fight against the person who became the reason he had no one to fall back on. His anger was actually boiling hot right now, but he knew he had to keep it in check. He looked back up into the eyes of Katsuki, finally announcing his decision.
"You know, the whole reason I changed, was because someone forced me to. I was just like every other kid at the time, until my closest friend, the person who wanted to become a hero with me, decided to turn on me and became my worst enemy. I still think about that day, you know? Tch. Now look at how pathetic you've become. You're really not worth the effort. So I see no reason to fight." He turned to walk away, but had to quickly duck into the side to avoid an explosion powered fist.
"GET BACK HERE, DAMMIT!" He grew sincerely more angry, throwing every rational thought out the window as he continued to give chase to the other teen.
Said teen was using his years of adapting to the environment to outrun the explosive blonde, from parked cars, shops that are set up, and even the side of the buildings.
"You know, you're technically breaking the law by using your quirk unauthorized. That technically makes you a villain." This managed to make the blonde stall for a moment. But that moment was all that Izuku needed to slip around a corner into a nearby vendor stall, slip some cash to the worker, and grab a jacket and a hat to cover him as he walked away, effectively outsmarting the blonde and never seeing him again for months to come.
The next day came a tearful goodbye from his mother, who actually managed to flood the complex with the amount of tears that leaked from her eyes, Izuku, of course, had tears in his eyes, but not nearly as much as the elder Midoriya; he had long since outgrew crying the amount to refill three lakes alone.
"I'm really gonna miss you, Izu-kun! Please be on your best behavior and be sure to give those there with a big head a fight they'll remember!" Ruffling his head one last time, she gave him one last comforting hug and a kiss on the cheek as he left.
"I love you, mom! I'll try to make it back during the Summer Break!" And with a wave, he drove off, heading down the road to the neighborhood the Bakugou Household resided to say his goodbyes to Mitsuki and Masaru one last time. He made it short and sweet as the only child of the two adults made his way downstairs, and sped off to his new life.
It took about three hours with a stop for gas and food on the way, but once there in the Tokushima Prefecture, he was amazed at how huge the campus seemed to be, easily dwarfing the size of Aldera, his apartment complex, and the neighborhood by three times. He assumed that it was due to the fact that Shiketsu wasn't just known for its hero course that rivaled Yuuei's own.
Shiketsu Academy was a military-styled school that offered many career choices for the future, such as police academy, detective, business, support, hero, and even basic training for the JSDF. Izuku would be getting to experience every side there, but he was only enrolled into the hero course for the three years there.
When he entered his class, he was surprised to be announced that only ten people were in the hero course altogether. But he chalked it up to not being a physical examination like Yuuei, and that they only accepted those they saw potential in, so long as they had the smarts to back it up. Everyone took him seriously as he announce his quirkless status and was immediately challenged by three classmates.
One was a person whose quirk gives him the ability to manipulate raw flesh. He can knead other people's bodies into disfigured balls of flesh, leaving them incapacitated. His own flesh is more versatile; it can be detached, expanded, and remotely controlled for offensive and defensive purposes, but wore off over time. With Izuku's martial arts training and facing many different opponents who were allowed their quirk usage, knew how to deal with types like him, and gracefully dodged the floating blobs and quickly subdued the young man. Said young man shook his hand, announced that his name was Shishikura Seiji, calling the name of his quirk: Meatball and returned to the stands for the next fight.
The next person was covered from head to toe in blonde hair, making Izuku having to squint his eyes just to see the other's. Turns out his quirk covers his entire body in thick, bushy body hair and has the ability to lengthen and manipulate this body hair. It quickly reminded him of an underground hero who uses a capture scarf to subdue opponents in a short amount of time. Opting to play the long game, he used his training, instincts, and tactical mind to evade. block, and counter against the hairy man-pun not intended. His stamina is what allowed him to prolong the fight long enough to wrap the opponent in their own hair, and forced the other to give, though not unscathed, having to recall many times that he had to retreat. The Hair-Man was named Nagamasa Mora, his quirk: Extend-o-Hair.
The final challenger was a tall man, who had a large smile on his face and a personality to match it. He introduced himself with the most energy out of everyone there, as he bowed so low and fast that his head actually broke apart the ground a little. Enter Yoarashi Inasa; Quirk: Whirlwind. It quite literally gives him the power to manipulate the air around him to create strong, or weak wind currents. Their battle was one where Izuku sent tactics away and relied purely on instinct. But the two had amazing stamina as neither party went down, despite getting continuously blasted with air while the other getting ridiculously pounded. The match finally ended when both students threw a punch at each other, nailing the other straight in the temple, knocking each other out as they met the ground.
His first year there was simply amazing. After a couple of classes with his peers, they were finally given the choice of who will be the class representative. Even though it was a voted system, they weren't allowed to vote for their own self, and had to leave it up chance whether they were selected. Nagamasa was chosen as the vice rep, considering that he wasn't really all that up to having to contain nine other individuals. The rep for the Shiketsu Hero Course First Years was Izuku. Everyone claimed that he showed exactly what a hero should strive to be, as well as his natural personality to want to help others better themselves by offering advice for their fighting styles, quirks, and even studies. He accepted the position with honor.
Even though they didn't hold a Sports Festival like Yuuei, they were still able to be scouted by pros who were allowed onto the premises to observe the Heroic Informatics lessons so long as they got clearance from their principle and committee. He was scouted by Pro Underground Hero: Eraserhead, who was able to temporarily block the user's ability to use their quirk so long as it wasn't a heteromorphic quirk that changed specific body parts.
He was able to teach the teen how to use quirk suppressing devices such as cuffs, jammers, etc. and taught more fighting styles that focused more on the brutal side of the spectrum to knock an opponent unconscious. He even learned how to use the infamous capture scarf by the pro himself. Granted, he was only allowed a week with the hero before the man had to return to Yuuei to teach his class. He told the teen that he wishes that he applied for Yuuei, but understood the once in a lifetime offer, and even complimented him on taking it.
One month after the internship, they decided to go out to a training field the school had ownership of, the long expanse of land went on and on, seemingly endless in its range. Inside the area, a couple buildings as well as a faux town was put down. A couple heroes were there, some were a few that a couple of the student's interned under. They would be staying out in the town for a day, as in the town, consisted of four buildings that were not set up for training and instead as houses for people to sleep in. Two for the class, one for the the teacher present, and the forth for heroes or even invited guests who wished to stay over.
Their first day consisted of normal hero informatics. A small random team building exercise that went with no problems. Two teams of five were created in a small Heroes VS. Villains Session. Team One consisted of Izuku, Inasa, Narimaga, a student who is able to turn his hair into strong wraps, Hatabe, who can extend her legs longer than her natural limit in order to help them grab or gain better reach, and Ritaru, a person whose finger nails are able to sharpen or harden for better traction or defense. Team Two had Camie, Nagamasa, Shishikura, Aika, a girl whose eyes change colors based on what emotion is in her most forefront of her mind and enhances her strength on said emotion, and Yang, a boy whose hair lights aflame when angered, enhancing his strength.
Izuku's hero costume had a sort of different look compared to the rest. While everyone else looked as if they were dressed for hero work with their normal Shiketsu cap, he looked as though he's going to war. His head was covered by a black forward Shiketsu ballcap, with a dark green bandana hanging off his neck that he would wear around his face. Covering his upper body was a padded black long sleeved shirt, with a green short-sleeve hoodie with a grey hood that would go over his cap. Covering his hands were a pair of gloves, his ring and pinky fingers were covered as small studs were noticeable along his knuckles. The reason for the other three fingers being revealed was so he could get a better grip of the terrain as well as a better traction if he needed to. His lower body consisted of black combat trousers, with white military boots and green laces. The ends of his pant legs were covered by the top of his boot. Within the soles of his boots, consisted a pair of iron soles. When made contact with an object, the soles will extend and add on a more destructive fore to be released.
On his waist he wore a small utility belt, holding many of his own inventions that he got around to making in his free time. Small shock and stun grenades, and a first-aid kit on his left side while on his right held his actual arsenal of throwing knives-that he wouldn't use during training with the class-and even a small grenade.
He did, however, choose a weapon to take with him, and brought out his staff. He found it to be the most comfortable weapon in his arsenal, as well as the most useful. When it wasn't equipped, it would be strapped onto his back.
Inasa's hero outfit consisted of a thick burgundy suit pinned together with yellow buttons. A cape is draped over his shoulders, the collar lined with thick fur, and it almost conceals the jetpack-like propulsion system attached to his back. His left arm is completely concealed by the thick, brown material and his hand sports a large tan glove with air pipes on it, whereas his right arm is completely exposed other than the skintight blue sleeve that appears to be apart of his under-suit. Similarly to his left hand, are several tubes around his torso and ankles, which are used to expel bursts of air to aid with his attacks and even flight. Plates resembling gas masks pad his knees and left shoulder, and he completes his costume with large brown shoes and a pair of goggles around his head that were worn around his Shiketsu military cap.
Camie's hero costume was just a simple black catsuit that seemed to compliment her curvy figure with the zipper down a little to reveal her cleavage and allowing her to breathe a little. White cuffs were worn around her wrists and a loose black collar lined with metallic plates was worn on her neck. Covering feet, were white knee-lenght boots. Her Shiketsu military cap completed her look.
Mora's costume was the simplest out of everyone. His long hair covering his entire upper body while black pants and boots covered his bottom half, with some hair poking out at the legs. Atop his head like his peers, was his Shiketsu military cap.
Shishikura's outfit consists of a black overcoat with red trimmings. Its collar covers his entire neck, only stopping just below his mouth, and two red-rimmed flaps are folded over the top. The sleeves of his coat reach down to his elbows, cut off by two large red cuffs which are strapped onto the upper part of the sleeves, and on his right, he wears a smaller white armband with a black stripe through the middle. On top of his coat, he wears a black apron that reaches down past his knees, plain apart from the red strings threaded twice through that go around his neck. He also wears a peculiar set of gloves that only cover his thumb, index and middle fingers, and black boots. Like everyone else before him, his Shiketsu military cap was worn on his head.
The cap, or in Izuku's case for the style of his outfit, ballcap, was mandatory for all the students, that way they would represent their school when sent out on internships and work studies.
Team One took the first round as the villains, their objective was to escort a High Value Target, being one of the teachers, across the town without losing custody. Once the target has been rescued by the hero team, there would be a thirty second time limit for the villains to regain control, before the round would end, signaling their loss. Or, if they did not bring the target to the evac zone within the one hour time limit, they would also lose. But in order for them to succeed, they must reach the evac zone with the HVT. Once reaching a marker that has been set with smoke, they would win the round. Team Two had the objective of refusing the villains the chance to make it across town. Same conditions applied. Taking control of the HVT for thirty consecutive seconds gained their victory.
The course would change terrain, the houses that everyone stayed in were moved while the town switched into a small city. Of course, the start wouldn't be easy. The target would be set into a random location, forcing the villains to carry out like mercenaries in order to find them. Heroes could detain and capture the villains before time runs out or the target is found, or the target reaches the zone. Villains could disable heroes, but could not capture.
The buzzer rang. Both teams immediately went out in search of the HVT and split their groups up. Izuku went with Ritaru, the two seeming to have similar and went forward to either disable any heroes they met, or find the target. They had small talk here and there, but nothing too lasting as they walked into the building where a couple lights were turned off, only surrounding a small door.
"Stay on your guard, Ritaru. We don't know if the heroes could be going for us instead. If anything, we could knock out anyone who tries to stop us and fight our way to secure the Drop Zone."
"Got it, Midoriya." Izuku kicked the door in, busting off the lock while Ritaru sharpened his claws as they breached the room. But inside there was no opponents, only the target they were searching for, none other than the snake hero Uwabami, who had her hair down and a button-up shirt and skirt. Immediately they put the bag over her head in order to prevent her from knowing their direction, and made their way to the door.
Tapping on his microphone that was hidden in the bandana on his neck, Izuku called out to the rest of his team.
"Bravo Squad, we have secured the target. Start making your way over to the DZ and we will meet you on the way."
"That's going to take a little bit, Alpha. We have encountered hostiles. Inasa is holding them off while Narimaga and I are falling back. We'll keep in touch."
With that, the team of two immediately set out in a sprint. While their position wouldn't be technically be given away, it would seem suspicious to see two members falling back after a small conversation on the comms. Sure enough, as they rounded the corner, they were met by Camie and Yang.
The four stood at a standstill for a moment, a small breeze made its presence known and that kicked off the small brawl. Yang charged the two, slamming his gauntlets into the ground where they previously stood. But his gauntlets added onto the effect, as soon as they breached the ground, an explosive seemed to follow afterwards and sent some debris towards Midoriya and Ritaru.
Eyes widening, he sent the hostage over to Ritaru and used his iron soles to take the brunt of the damage. Using the smoke that arose, he ordered the other teen dig underground and try to go around the fight. Agreeing, the man sharpened his claws and started digging faster.
Looking back to the smoke, he noticed a figure coming out of it as Ritaru just disappeared. When they came closer, he noticed that the figure looked all to similar to a certain number one hero. His anger rose high, and with a quick shout, he kicked forward with his soles, the ends extending to add on a destructive force as the silhouette seemingly faded away along with kicking the rest of the smoke for cover. Camie was seen trying to sneak around on the rooftop, while Yang was trying to sneak straight on.
Having enough, Izuku jumped up and made it to the rooftop the girl was on, and sent out trying to hit her pressure points as to not hurt the lass too bad. But he was in for a surprise whenever Yang jumped as well, angered at the thought of being ignored and he sent a haymaker straight towards the two. Izuku realizing that the attack wasn't aimed well and was heading straight for Camie, shoved her out of the way with one arm, using the other to block as the fist made contact. Already, the enhanced strength hurt enough, but the power of the shotgun-like gauntlet added more to the punch as he was sent flying backwards to the other battleground as a gunshot followed his figure.
Coming back to his senses, he found himself freefalling and thought for a landing strategy as he approached the other battle taking place. Inasa seemed to start looking like he was becoming overrun, and the greenette had the perfect opportunity to take out at least one of the 'heroes'.
Fixing his posture, he dove straight towards Shishikura, the Flesh quirk user completely unaware of the approaching teen. Once close enough, he moved his body around to where his feet were planted towards his opponent. Kicking out his legs at the perfect moment, he sent a devastating drop-kick to the other fighter and sent him flying. His soles added onto the distance. Catching himself with his hands, he spun around and sent a sweep kick to Aika, taking her legs out from under as he sent a stomach punch as she fell. This proved to be too much for the girl to handle as she was knocked unconscious from the force of the blow.
"Inasa, you okay?" "Hai, Izuku-Kansho! I apologize for not taking those two out quicker!" Slamming his head into the ground as he bowed in apology, Izuku looked on with a deadpan face as he told the teen to rise.
"Bravo Team. This is Alpha-One. I met up with Inasa and have taken down two of the heroes. What's everyone's status?"
"Alpha Leader, this is Bravo-Two. I still have the hostage, and am making my way to the Drop Zone, but there's a problem! Chewyee is guarding the point. The drop zone is on the South most side, on top of the bank."
"Alpha -One this is Bravo-One. Narimaga and I are almost to the bank and can see the smoke. We will make our approach now, but be careful. I know you may have taken down Sisicross and Wonder Eyes, but Maboromicamie and Flame-On are still out there."
"Alright. Watch your six, Inasa and I will start making our way over, but be prepared. Chewyee has a lot at his disposal and can easily capture if you are off guard."
Using Inasa's quirk, the two flew through the air towards the bank. Seeing the red smoke, Izuku noticed Camie and Yang running along the rooftops towards the bank. They were most likely tipped off by Nagamasa, who must've noticed the fingernail user.
"Inasa, drop me. I'll hold off those two down there while you assist the others. Your quirk is the perfect counter to Nagamasa as his hair can get tangled up fairly easy. I just need you to trust meeEEEE-!" He couldn't continue as Inasa stopped the wind current keeping him afloat, and shouted to do his best.
'Yeah. I should've expected something like that.'
Diving down, he immediately started doing a calculation, and went straight to where Yang would be crossing over the rooftops. Luckily neither of the students noticed him as he sped downward.
And just as he predicted, the blonde jumped exactly where he wanted him to. Rolling himself forward, he let gravity take hold of him as he stuck a leg out. He flipped four times or so before his foot made contact with the male fighter's head, landing a devastating axe kick and sent the teen to the alleyway below. He used the force of the impact to make his way on the rooftop behind him, the one where the brunette had just jumped onto.
Caught off guard, Camie tripped a little upon landing and rolled across the roof of the building. But she recovered and quickly positioned herself ready to fight, but showed a hint of excitement as she gets to fight him, but a bit fearful knowing his skills in close-quarters-combat.
Izuku noticing this, felt a little bit of excitement, and strapped the staff onto his back once more. He held up his fists as the two moved in a circle.
"C'mon, Cam. Weren't you always saying that you'd like to smack this smirk off my face?"
"Oh trust me, Izu-kun. Nothing would make me happier to wipe that smug look of yours away."
"Then do it." "Very well." Charging each other, the two trained martial artists exchanged in a series of kicks, punches and even grapples. The greenette would admit to not being surprised, considering the girl didn't necessarily have a combative quirk so she would've had to find a way to keep up with everyone else around her.
The girl landed the first strike, a powerful kick into his ribs, but he used it to his advantage, and caught the leg. Moving his whole body, he flipped her behind him onto the ground where he quickly engaged the top mount while she couldn't hold her guard position due to his strength.
He was on top, trapping her left leg underneath his right, and keeping her right pinned down with his arm. She tried grabbing at him, but he simply caught her fist and held it firm to the ground, pinning her other arm beneath her as well.
"Well, Cam, looks like I won." He looked into her eyes and momentarily froze, but not loosening his hold.
"Looks that way... Izu...kun..." she trailed off as she looked into his own.
Shining emerald green melt beautiful golden brown, as the world seemed to freeze around the two teens as they unknowingly moved closer. Lips almost touching, just a centimeter mo-
"Izuku-Kansho! We're being pinned down over here! Inasa wore himself out by using his quirk too much in the beginning of the round, Ritaru's nails are starting to chip, and Narimaga's scalp is starting to bleed! We're losing time fast! We've been able to keep the hostage out of the hero's reach, but it's only a matter of time! Hurry over here!"
He immediately got off the girl beneath him, his face starting to redden a little as she started to take deep breaths. Clearing his head, the greenette stood and started to make his way over to the drop zone.
"Wait! Aren't you gonna finish me off?! Knock me out or something?!" She screamed after him, despite feeling all hot and flustered, they were still opponents in the round.
"Yeah! How 'bout we go on a date when we get back?! I'll take you out somewhere in Tokushima for a night out into the city!"
This caused the girl to overheat, as she agreed and proceeded to pass out from excitement.
Grinning to himself and patting his back, he made his way across the rooftops towards the DZ as fast as he could. Using his environment and his parkour training, he danced his way across the sizable distance, swinging off of light posts, flipping over gaps as he building hopped, the sense of freedom never rushed through his veins more so than now.
Finally, he arrived to the last building that separated him from his team. Looking down, he noticed that Inasa was looking worse for wear, his breathing being a little ragged as he was focusing on carrying out the downed Ritaru and their hostage away from the battle. Narimaga's scalp was indeed bleeding from overusing his quirk, and was forced to dodge the tendrils of hair. Hatabe was clutching at her leg, as it limped by her side.
Of course, he also had to hand it to his team. Despite Nagamasa being fully rested and prepared for battle, and his team going through a couple confrontations and running the whole way, they manage to deal some damage to the owner of the Extend-O-Hair quirk. There were pieces that seemed to be cut out from his roots, and knots tangled a few places. Grabbing for his stun grenade, he reached for his communicator underneath his bandana.
"EVERYONE GET DOWN AND COVER YOUR EARS!" He threw the projectile, and the object landed right in front of Nagamasa. The team did as instructed and closed their eyes and ears, aside from Inasa who got out of the area just in time. A loud flash went off and their senses were assaulted, Chewyee's worse since he was at the brunt of the blast.
Izuku took this time to charge forward, using his staff and twirling it into some pieces of owner's hair, and started twisting his staff around while running in a circle around the haired man. Once done, he grabbed the hostage from Inasa who held Ritaru in a fireman's carry, Helped Hatabe to her feet, and ran to the DZ. The buzzer went off as they stepped foot in the zone, signaling their victory as they all collapsed.
They went over the match and were told that they would return during the winter season, with the teams being reversed, but the same. Many more exercises would take place in between from now and then, but they were pumped nonetheless. Going back to their respective cabins, they all showered, went outside for a group barbeque, and for a few sodas that Ritaru and Midoriya brought everyone. The class talked all throughout the night before they went inside for the night and prepared for the trip back to the dorms tomorrow, with Camie and Izuku just a little closer than normal.
Summer Break came along and it was... eventful, to say the least.
His class had earned the privilege to visit an island that was protected by only a few heroes. They were to learn under the heroes there and would even try to learn how to let loose and relax, something that everyone was more than excited to experience. Of course, since the island was technically privately owned, they were allowed to use their quirks should they deem it fit. Izuku and Camie stuck close to each other, spending nearly every hour of every day with the other as they promised to go on a real date after they returned from the island.
Such a shame how excitement is so short lived. Their second day there the heroes were incapacitated from a villain attack, some with permanent damage, forcing them into early retirement. Thinking quickly, Midoriya sent Camie to run and find the rest of the class to let them know the situation while he and Inasa tried to hold them off. He also grabbed a special grenade and hid it underneath the material of his pants, using the bagginess to cover the shape of the object.
A villain that had muscle fibers coming out of his arms was a loudmouth and started to state the reason why they there in the first place. Turns out, they were actually there for Midoriya to bring him back to their headquarters. Apparently their leader was extremely interested in him and singled him out of the entire class. Yang fought alongside him, and after he dealt some heavy blows, the greenette used his weapons, he was able to take out the (literal) muscular man with stun batons by sticking it right through his damaged eye, and set the voltage to the max. Despite knowing what this amount of electricity going straight to the head of a normal person, Izuku threw caution to the wind and watched as the large mass of a man fell, spasming every second. A gas man came, but Inasa quickly had him covered by manipulating the air and forcing it back into the way of the villains, taking out a good majority of the gang.
Tried as they might, though, they had been forced to retreat. However, no one was fast enough when a strange marble-like ball came and swept up the green-haired teen. The wind user desperately tried to grab him, but was ambushed and was forced to fall back.
Izuku was released from the marble, but immediately grabbed around the throat by four fingers, with one just hanging loosely to the side. A nasty gash going across the right side of his face, covering his eyelid, made itself known as the crazy blonde teenager slashed his face to make him bleed some more. He shouted to his fellow classmate before he was taken entirely for one final message.
"Inasa, GO! THAT IS A DIRECT ORDER FROM YOUR CLASS PRESIDENT! MAKE SURE THE ISLAND AND THE REST OF THE CLASS ARE ALRIG-!" Was all he could get out before purple mist surrounded the gang and took Midoriya with him.
"IZUKU-KANSHOOOOOOOOO!" That was all the rest of Shiketsu's first year class heard as they approached the beach, seeing that the only remnant of Izuku was his shredded hoodie.
The rest of class had to stay on the island since the acting heroes were now decommissioned. Their teachers, as well as the government gave them permission to use their quirks for helping to rebuild the city, fend off any remaining villains, and to protect the residents of the island. This continued for another three weeks until new heroes were sent to relieve them.
Of course, it was hard for any of them to really focus as their class president was taken from them.
During those three weeks, Izuku had awakened in a random bar, there were the villains that captured him all having a good time and laughing. He quickly took a mental note of their looks and costumes, making sure that he would never forget them.
One of them had brunette hair, shades on their face, and big lips. If he hadn't overheard their conversation, he would've thought this person was a male. He learned that the person was named Magne, and was actually a girl despite her masculine looks.
Another one resembled a reptile and wore a wrap around his eyes, similar to that of Stain. The amount of swords in this guy's arsenal made Izuku think that he must've been a follower of sorts. He wouldn't reveal that him and Aizawa took down the Hero Killer in hopes of keeping his life. The reptile man was named Spinner.
The other girl of the remaining gang was a blonde that seemed almost the same age as Midoriya, only a little older. Her hair was styled in two buns, and a couple bangs shaping her face. A large smile revealed her long fang-like canines. From the amount of times he heard the word blood come out of her mouth, he figured that she needed to ingest blood for her quirk to work. The brunette called her Himiko Toga, and that would be useful for later.
The man who used the marbles, also wore a top hat and a mask under his mask. He didn't say much, but that was dangerous to the young lad. He found out that the name of the overdressed is Mr. Compress, real name wasn't revealed.
A man dressed in a black and gray spandex, his looks resembling that of a familiar fourth wall breaking Anti-Hero, seemed to have two split personalities that were present after every single sentence made, making it a little hard to figure out the cipher of his words. Izuku figured that something must've happened for that to be this out of hand. His name was revealed to be called Twice, but he heard the blonde say Gjin a couple times while addressing him.
The final male in the group by the pool table was a scarred up man with blue eyes that resembled that of the Number Two hero. The greenette could vaguely remember the blue flames coming off the man and somehow had a feeling that those flames somehow harmed the man. Navy blue hair sat atop his head in a disheveled manner, and torn up rags for clothes completed his look. He heard the name Dabi being assigned to the man.
At the bar stood two individuals, one behind manning the drinks, while the other sat down on a stool. The former was dressed in a suit and had purple-like mist surrounding him, the only thing proving a physical body was the metal plate around the neck area underneath the suit. Two glowing lights in the facial area were the eyes of this mysterious figure whose name was Kurogiri.
The latter male seemed to be in his early twenties and had pale blue hair. Whatever parts of his face that were revealed were scars and chapped lips. Around his neck were numerous scratch marks and plenty of scabs were visible, there must've been a scratching problem. The nails being damaged and bite marks shown. A white hand covered his face which was somewhat frustrating to say the least. He faintly heard Kurogiri calling the man Tomura Shigaraki.
He quickly loooked towards himself and saw that his top had been taken off, taking off any and all weapons that he could've had hiding in his shirt and jacket. But luckily, he still had his iron soles, and felt around and made contact with
When he made a noise, the entire bar went silent and the gang looked at him.
"Well well, ladies and gentlemen. The brat has finally woken up." The Shigaraki stood from his barstool and the rest of the villains surrounded the chair he was strapped to.
"Where the hell am I? Who the fuck are you?" No need for formalities with a bunch of strangers and criminals.
Kurogiri broke the silence, continuing to clean the glass in his hand. "Well kid, we are the League of Villains, and this is our hideout."
"Right Purple-People-Eater." Taking one more look around, he tried mapping out possible escape routes before finally looking at who he could assume was the leader. "So, what gives? Why kidnap some kid you don't even know? Gonna kill me and make a message to the pros and show them that you'll kill them all, including kids if need be?" No one's facial expression changed, but he did see the blonde start getting a little giddy. 'Gonna have to be careful around her.' "Because if that was your plan, then I must say that it kinda goes against Stain's ideology, which is pretty stupid if you ask me."
He noticed the lizard-like one perk up for a second at the mention of the Hero-Killer, but wrote it off as a simple fanboy expression. 'Hell, even looks like his getup.'
Any thoughts he had, though, were cut off as the one with the hand covering his face started to chuckle for a few seconds, everyone looking over to him as they too seemed to wonder what his plan was. When he finally stopped, he looked over at Izuku and decided to answer his question.
"Don't worry, we aren't going to harm you. Well, I won't at least. Can't really say the same for Toga over there." The aforementioned teen started waving like a little school girl, which he then thought that it suited her.
"Well, then what are you going to do to me? If memory serves me right, you guys attacked U.A. a couple months back, right? Now you're going after other schools? That doesn't make a lot of sense when you look at it from my view." He was expecting some sort of response that would answer everything that was plaguing his mind, but safe to say he was surprised whenever the man before him took off the hand on his face with his own, with four fingers on each one, of course.
"Yes, well you see, Izuku Midoriya, our plan is much more different than that." Setting down the appendage, crimson eyes met emerald green as he continued. "Originally, we were going to go after the loudmouth blonde that won their Sports Festival, because of his volatile nature, you can see why we thought he would be a perfect pick. But then, we decided to dig a little into his past, and what do we find?"
The floating mist finished the rest of that line. "A quirkless boy, who took himself out of public school for a year, and even managed to get into the number one hero school of the west."
"Bravo, you want a cookie?" "Ooh! Can it be a sugar cookie? NO AN OATMEAL ONE!" Deadpool's dollar store verion spoke up but stopped talking after a glare from everyone in the room."
"Sorry about that. But back on track, we understand how a quirkless individual such as yourself must've been treated in this day and age. With everyone in a one hundred mile radius having a special power, the only one without one would of course be seen as an outsider. Not only that, but who would even bother giving you the time of day, it wasn't like any of them thought that you were going to become anything whatsoever, so why bother helping out such a useless, defenseless person such as yourself? What good would it benefit them?"
"See, you're saying things that don't seem to really be helping out whatever point you're trying to make as I keep getting more pissed off. So I became a hero course student at another school far away that's one of the toughest to get in? Get on with it." His patience was wearing thin, but he had to not let on too much suspicion as his feet were pressing against the ground lightly, but with each second he gently added on more pressure, feeling the bolts start to come loose, ever so slightly.
"But that's just it. You got into the hero course at a faraway school that's even harder to get accepted into than U.A which was much closer by train. How'd you get there, anyway, bullet train?" "No, motorcycle." "Ah, right, you're sixteen." "Yep."
"But you got accepted, and proved them all wrong, whether it was out of spite, or just your own perseverance. You did it. But we think that somehow, we can make that even better to get back at those who wronged you." Reaching out his right hand, he finally made it to the whole point of his story.
"Izuku Midoriya join us, as our newest member of the League of Villains."
He looked at the hand, eyes widened in shock at such a request, but his mouth and orbs closed, and his mind cleared. Finally, the image of Camie's caring smile and his mother's loving embrace as she accepted his request invaded, steeling his resolve as he looked up from his bindings.
"I gotta say, your offer is tempting to say the least, but I already chose my path." Meeting back with the same crimson eyes, the face of Katsuki replaced Shigaraki's, and that's where he made his smirk. "So I guess you'll just have to kill me Hand-Job, because I'm going to be the world's first legitamate Quirkless Hero!" More pressure applied onto the ground, the back two bolts popped out of their sockets.
"Very well then. If that's your decision, then the only outcome of this choice game is that. Magne, rip his head off with your quirk." Wait, what?
Suddenly, he felt the pull of the villain's Magnetism-'Huh. Guess that's where the name comes from.' He was lucky that he got a couple bolts off as he and the chair went flying towards the large transgender, gaining a look of surprise from everyone. The villain quickly shut off her quirk, but it was too late as the teen flipped himself around and using inertia as his ally, slammed into the figure, breaking the chair and making his binds come undone. Quickly using his opponent's disorientation to the best of his advantage, he quickly spins midair and lands a devestating roundhouse kick to the face of the transgender, knocking her into Toga and Twice and sending them out to the streets. This surprised the hero squadron sent in to rescue the teen as well as the police as they try to move quickly get to the three villains that fell from the sky.
The teen then dodged around some fire shot by the burned and scarred man, quickly taking full force of the dance lessons that he had learned from Aika, the girl wanting to have a dance session with her classmates and friends on their day off from school and training, but no one knew how to really move like she wanted them to. Continuing this, he made a move to the villain, but was forced to get out of the way from a slice of one of Spinner's many swords all strapped together. As he jumped back, he noticed that he was at the exact spot he woke up at, only this time not tied up.
"Well, it's been fun, but I really must get-" The wall next to Izuku imploded as All Might, Gran Torino, and Edgeshot all three shot through the door. Edgeshot used his quirk to quickly disable Kurogiri as Gran Torino knocked Compress, Shigaraki, and Spinner away. All Might made a move to grab Izuku whenever flames cut him off from the path.
"Not so fast, num-" Dabi wasn't even able to finish as he was flicked away to the streets to join Toga, Magne, and Twice.
"Worry not, Young Midoriya. For we are here." "Yeah, no. I'm even more worried All Might. Last time you were there, you almost killed me with the sludge villain, you tall Yank." The teen backed away slightly towards the collapsed wall whenever he felt a bile begin to rise in his stomach. Throwing it up, it consumed him along with the other members of the League and they were taken away once more.
"Toshi, we're gonna have to talk about what the boy said later and your control, but we need to focus on finding them right now. Have the rest of us focus on the Nomu outside while you go searching for him." Gran Torino and Edgeshot jumped back out the wall and All Might launched himself to the skies, trying to find the missing boy.
Izuku was the first person to show up in an exploded factory. Around him he saw Pro Heroes Best Jeanist, Wild Wild Pussycats, and Mount Lady unconscious with Best Jeanist having a horrifying hole in his chest. Laughter was heard, assuming it was the man who brought him here. Turning around, he was greeted to the sight of a man in a tuxedo, and a large respirator on him. He wanted to make an insult, but he realized quickly that would be a bad idea, especially since this man was able to take out six pro heroes, one of them being the number five, without taking any damage whatsoever.
"W-who the fuck are you?" He got rid of his stutter two years ago, but damn if fear wasn't a bitch.
"Greetings, Izuku Midoriya, first ever Quirkless Hero Course student of Shiketsu High as well as the world." The man's voice was just terrifying, the sound of a true villain. But there was something that was just barely caught by the young lad.
The man used multiple quirks, even though the body can only be born with one with elemental mutations being counted as two. He revealed his name to be All For One, his quirk under the same name and allowed him to steal quirks from their original owners and could either use them for himself, or give away quirks.
The man seemed to only want a conversation, something that the young lad was forced to accept in fear for his life. There were slight rumbles in the distance but other than that, it was pretty okay in terms of not wanting to die.
"Right, so let's get down to business. I would have assumed that you would've went to All Might's High School considering how much you used to look up to him. But that's not the way the dice rolls I guess. But I noticed how you still hold resentment towards many heroes as well as those with quirks in general."
The way the teen flinched confirmed the man's thoughts.
"I bet you would love a chance to get revenge towards the ones who wronged you. I heard Tomura try his best at recruiting you, however, he never thought to go to me for a more helpful solution. I can help you in your efforts, you see, having the power to take and give quirks is something that I'll always find a blessing. Especially now. I can give you the power to destroy anyone who opposes you, to eradicate the very ones who insulted you off the face of the earth. All you would have to do is join me."
Izuku sat there, in thought for a moment. He knew that this was another once in a lifetime opportunity, to finally stand the same pillar as those who wronged him. Everyone who had beaten him down and slandering his dream would be shown why they were mistaken to mess with him. He would finally be able to get even with a quirk of his own...
(Start You Say Run)
...Except it wouldn't be.
It would never be his own quirk if he accepted the terrifying villain's offer. It wouldn't be something that he worked on for years to improve the power to its fullest potential...
He'd be no better than the man in front of him.
"You know, All For One? All my life when I was younger, I wanted nothing more than a quirk, just to prove to everyone that I was no longer just some useless kid.But as I stand here, listening to your offer after mentally going through all the things I was able to accomplish on my own without one, all the things I've overcome with nothing more than the physical limits I have and pushing past those, I have come to realize that I don't need it." Standing tall, he produced a grin of his own, which actually made the man-no, monster- flinch a little. Taking some pride at that, he seemingly disappeared into thin air, reappearing in front of the man. And with the speed of lightning, swung the most powerful roundhouse kick he could throw into the man's mask, causing it to break. And with the additional force of his iron soles, sent All For One flying into the nearby abandoned building, causing it to fall on top of him.
"Thanks, old man, but I'm already getting my own version of revenge. I'll earn my provisional in a couple months and that's when I can truly say that I did it all on my own physical power." He was fixing to book it towards any hero, when he noticed the League-minus Kurogiri-were waking back up, and the unconscious heroes were still out cold. If he were to leave now, he'd be putting all of them in danger, with no way of being able to fend for themselves and survive. But if he stayed, he would be forced to fight the entirety of the League on his own with no back up.
He knew his decision would probably put him on house arrest if he made it back to Shiketsu alive with Camie and Inasa screaming at him, but he knew it would be worth it if the lives of others were saved. So, with only his soles as his support gear, he launched himself forward, to who he presumed would be the most troublesome, and rocked Dabi's shit.
The elder scarred up man was lucky that his staples kept his head attached to his body, as he was sent towards the same collapsed building that All For One was under, and was knocked out. The rest of the League charged in and started to throw their attacks in. Magne used her quirk to pull the boy towards her, but was unprepared whenever the greenette used his own momentum against her and slammed his foot into her face, once again sending her flying into her teammates.
"No NOT AGAIN PLEA-!" Twice wasn't able to get his second half to give some words because the body of Magne smacked into his face once more, knocking him over. Toga learned from last time and ducked, pulling out her knives and charged the boy, thinking that she had the upper hand since he was unarmed.
She was wrong, as he had trained in Kali from Camie's own background with bladed weapons, and matched her in speed. Finally disarming her by breaking her left wrist, he sent her out of the picture by throwing her up in the air, and used his speed to jump behind her in an instant and dropkicked her to the ground, bouncing off and careening right into the pillar from the building around them, that was somehow still standing despite the fight and the initial attack from All For One.
Something in the back of his mind screamed at him to dodge downwards, and luckily, he did as he narrowly missed a swipe from Shigaraki. Jumping back to give himself some room to breathe, he took note of the villain's stance and noticed that his hand was now on the ground that connected the two of them, turning it to dust immediately. Jumping once more, he was unprepared whenever Spinner appeared and got a clean slice in on him with his sword. He fell to the ground rather ungracefully and slammed onto his back.
"Well, well, you damn brat. Prepare to meet your end. You lasted quite a while and I'm honestly a little impressed that you took down four of us in an instant. But now you're dead!" Shigaraki threw himself at the boy, hand out with all five fingers and ready to grab ahold of the younger teen's face.
But that never happened as a strong current of air pressure alone knocked Shigaraki away, saving the boy. A signature laughter appeared and the boy at least felt some sort of relief, as he knew that he was being saved this time.
All Might appeared and quickly took a mental note of the situation at hand. The boy had a large slash wound on his chest, but he assumed that it wasn't too deep as Midoriya stood back up, ready to either run or kick some ass. Then he noticed the downed heroes, seeing all of them out of commission, but still alive nonetheless. And if the recently destroyed rubble didn't say anything, he quickly figured out that the hero-in-training was fending himself off against the group of villains, and definitely proved his worth as a hero course student as four members out of the seven League of Villains were knocked unconscious.
"Midoriya-Shonen! Quickly go over and evacuate the heroes before they're used as hostages against us, or killed in our crossfire! Take as many as you can and return if you're able! In the meanwhile, I'll cover you and assist as well! Move quickly, and with a purpose!" Nodding, the greenette ran over and grabbed the nearest two heroes, Mount Lady and Best Jeanist, and ran to the nearest site where he could either find a hero, or an ambulance.
Luckily he didn't have to run far as Eraserhead appeared before him. "Kid, what the hell is going on?!"
"Aizawa-sensei! I need your help, there's still four more heroes that need evacuating and I can only carry two at a time! Can you take these two for me and send Kamui Woods to help me grab the other four?" The black haired male nodded, and grabbed the two heroes and took to the rooftops, calling any heroes to help with evac.

Running back, he watched as All Might flipped graciously over Compress, knocking Spinner, whom he was dodging, into him and sent a low powered dropkick at the incoming Shigaraki, who was sent tumbling away. Turning around he grabbed Mandalay and Pixie-Bob of the Wild Wild Pussycats, and got back to running, where he met Kamui and Fatgum. He handed the two off to Kamui and gave the same instructions he handed to Aizawa, requesting that the more rounded hero come with him. His arm was grabbed by the young blonde member, and he was met with pleading sky blue eyes. They weren't open for long as she fell back unconscious and was escorted away.
Whenever he and Fatgum returned, he took note of the last two heroes that needed saving, but saw that All Might was now facing of against the villain who brought the young lad.
Fear quickly entered his system when he saw that the villain had the number one hero restrained and Shigaraki was lowering his hand. Izuku told Fatgum to grab the others and run, and launched forward with speeds that should be impossible for a QKL towards the unsuspecting Shigaraki as he delivered the strongest left cross to the blue haired man's face, knocking off the hand that was on his face and sending him into the formerly collapsed building. Then, maneuvering himself around the tentacles sent at him by the villain boss, he used his iron soles to break apart the binds that held All Might hostage. The two leapt back, but not before Izuku dropped a small grenade that he hid in front of the now unmasked man. An explosion went off and dust covered the area as the two landed away from the man.
"Midoriya-Shonen. I thank you. If you hadn't shown up in time, I don't think I would still be standing here." The tall blonde coughed up some blood, alerting the younger boy. But this only cemented his theory over the years as to why All Might started appearing less.
"All Might... Tell me something." He turned and looked at his former idol with a serious glint in his eyes. "Are you... losing your quirk?"
Toshinori's eyes widened, one of his most important secrets has been found out. He had seen notes on the boy and had seen that the boy was loved by all of his teachers at Shiketsu and had heard that he had mastered his analytical mind. Looking down, he faced the boy once more, and almost made a decision.
"Young man, if we live through this experience, I want you to meet me at that beach you cleaned. I'll put in a request for your school to allow you to leave the dorms and to see your family and I."
That conversation had ended with that, as All for One arose once more, but with an angered look on his face. He screamed out and rushed at the two, who split and fell back to another location.
"Midoriya-Shounen! Escape while you still can! I need to go all out and I can't be worrying about you getting caught in the crossfire like I neglected last time with the sludge villain!" The teen remembered as he was almost sent to Kingdom Come that day and made a move to leave, only for the damaged form of All For One to appear and send an empowered uppercut at the lad. The fist made contact and sent him flying into the air. He was met midair by the same man, as his fists grabbed each other and sent them down with a hammer punch. Just before they made contact, the bald man was kicked out of the way and All Might grabbed the teen. "See you on the Flip-Side, as the kids say!" With that, he was thrown into the air away from the fight.
He was caught by Gran Torino, or Sorahiko Torino. The old man felt bad about having to leave his student behind, but he knew that the teen and himself would only get in the way.
(Start United States of Smash S3 OST)
The screen in a nearby district that showed the All Might vs. All For One fight was played live, not a single bit was cut out and the viewers all over Japan watched in worry as their Symbol of Peace had seemingly met his equal in terms of strength. The rest of the League of Villains must've escaped as they were no longer seen. As they watched the Number One Hero be pushed back multiple times, the true shock of the night came whenever All For One took notice of a nearby female that was buried under the rubble and sent an attack her way. All Might used all of his speed to make it to her, but he was forced the tank the hit himself, showing the true struggle of a hero who not only has to take down the villain, but also save innocent bystanders who could be caught in the crossfire. When the smoke cleared, the heroic form of All Might that the fans all over the world had come to know and love was no longer visible, but instead a frail blonde man who resembled a skeleton was in his place.
Toshinori Yagi's true form had been revealed to the world, and with it, numerous shouts of pure terror was revealed from the crowd.
Izuku suddenly felt a click in his mind as he remembered where he has seen this man before. While he was cleaning Dagobah Beach, the frail man would come and admire his progress, taking note of how his sunken features appeared to be even worse than that day.
All For One laughed, as now everyone had seen that the true form of the Symbol of Peace was revealed to the world, taking relief in the distinct screams of terror that followed. But, as he was finally going to erase the traces of whatever his brother left behind, he heard the woman behind Yagi yell cries of hope to the man, and he noticed a spark in the bastard's eye be reignited as his right arm buffed up in a horrific fashion, proving that he was finally using the very last of whatever embers remained of the stockpiling quirk that has been passed down for generations. And that pissed him off even more as he buffed up his own right arm with every strength enhancing and shock nullifying quirk he had stolen. The two enemies and opposites rushed each other once more in a final standoff, the attack going to be their last as they threw their punch.
Upon contact, All Might seemed to be pushed back, almost colliding into the woman he had just saved and blooded spurted from his right arm as well from his mouth, but he sent all the power of his quirk into his left arm, letting the engrossed fist pass by him as he sent a left hook into the Symbol of Evil's face, properly disorienting him.
As All Might prepared his one last attack, he saw the final vision of his master and predecessor, reaching a hand out with a orb that was filled with power. With his broken right arm, he reached back and grabbed hold of the orb, healing the limb's wounds, and buffing it up for his final attack as a hero.
"Your two hundred year reign of terror ends here, All For One! With this attack, my final Smash!" Rearing his arm back, he unleashed the most powerful attack he could muster and sent it to the face of the villain that had killed all the previous users of the quirk he now possessed. The flames of One For All reignited throughout his entire being as he sent this final attack.
"UNITED STATES OF... SMASH!!!!!!!!" The fist made contact with the Symbol of Evil's face, sending the man into the ground and causing a large tornado to arise from the shockwave, almost blowing away the helicopter that was recording the whole thing. But when the shockwaves ended and the wind settled down, all of Japan watched on the edge of their seats, waiting for the victor to be shown.
"Goodbye, All For One..."
The dust had finally settled. Alone stood a man with a red, white, and blue suit on, most of it was torn to shreds as his wounds were shown to the world. Toshinori Yagi stood victorious, finally having relief flood his system as the long reign of terror was finally over, and the threat to the next users of One For All was finally eliminated as the head of All For One was smashed into the pavement, blood pooling around the body of the deceased villain as he was no longer a threat to this world. Shouts of joy were heard all over Japan. The Symbol of Peace: All Might, had once more defeated his foe in the most difficult match he had ever faced.
Izuku's respect for the man returned in full force, as he was reminded that the Number One hero wasn't only there for the fame and the money, but to save the lives of many innocents as he can. Least to say he wasn't worried whenever the blonde nearly stumbled as he raised his fist once more in his buff form for the last time.
The next day came and Izuku was returned to the dorms of Shiketsu High after getting his slash wound treated at a nearby hospital. Aizawa came by and told him that he would be returning to Yuuei and was glad the teen was now safe. When he got there, the teen was informed that his classmates were still on the island providing disaster relief and helping to rebuild their society. He requested to join them, but was told that it would be better to see the shock of their faces when they were to return. However, his presence was requested elsewhere and he was told that he had permission to leave the dorms for two weeks to return to Musutafu to spend some time with his mother. He thanked his teachers for allowing him some time off and drove back to his home town of Musutafu.
The first three days he stayed with his mom, cooking some new dishes that he had learned during his time away and impressed Inko, as she instantly was sent into another world from his food. She told him that if the hero thing doesn't work out, which she doubts it will fail, he should open up either a restaurant or a bar as she had instantly fell in love with his cooking. The neighbors welcomed him back home and they threw a get together where everyone brought drinks, alcoholic drinks for everyone that could handle it and regular soda for the kids under fourteen. By the end of the night, he was dancing his life away as they threw the biggest block party that could be heard for miles away.
He grew to regret the amount he drank the morning after, but his mother had introduced him to a remedy that worked like a charm. She made some small burritos and gave him a shot of vodka instead of water that way his blood wouldn't be flowing too fast.
He met Toshinori on the beach two days after the party, agreeing to hear the man's story.
When approaching the beach, Izuku took a moment to admire how no one had ruined the first place he had cleaned on his own. And this time, he was finally able to take in the sight of the beautiful location and the water crashing into the shore. But he also noticed how few people there were around. Shaking his head from these thoughts, he saw the reason he was called out here in the first place.
The Blonde was covered in bandages and had his right arm in a sling. He looked out onto the water with a peaceful smile on his face. Izuku looked in silence for a moment before making his presence known.
"Hey there, All Might. You're looking better." The teen walked up to the man who jumped in surprise, bringing himself back to reality and remembering the reason he requested Midoriya's presence in the first place.
"Midoriya-Shounen." "You don't need to call me that. Just call me Izuku. After all, you're not the number one hero anymore, nor am I your student from Yuuei. It's perfectly fine if you aren't formal towards me." The way the light seemed to bounce perfectly off the emerald green eyes of the teen showed the pure carefree attitude that resembled the boy. However, All Might, or rather, Toshinori Yagi was more perspective than anyone gave him credit for, and instantly recognized the smaller details on the boy.
Izuku's eyes were just a bit more widened, and the small stiff motions made were clear. Hell, even the way his ears would twitch slightly more than needed at the smallest of noises was shown.
"Very well, Young Izuku. If that's the case then call me Yagi or Toshinori. Either doesn't really bother me because of my time in America." Nodding his head, the greenette understood that the country across the seas would be seen as just a bit more informal when greeting one another. "But I believe you must be wondering why I called you back out to this beach."
"Yeah. To be honest, I guess it must have to do with the question I asked the other night-about you losing your quirk."
Blue eyes were covered by the sunken features on the mans face as the smile disappeared. This confirmed Izuku's suspicion, as well as made him think that the final display he had shown during his fight was the last he could use of his power.
"Izuku Midoriya. The first ever Quirkless teen to not only make it into a hero school, but be scouted out by pro hero Eraserhead, become Class President of Shiketsu Hero Course 1-A, and be targeted by the League of Villains. Not only that, but also the first Quirkless person to face All For One, land a few solid blows, and lived. Your heroic spirit and drive not only encouraged me not only to surpass my limits, but to successfully defeat and neutralize a threat that has been terrorizing my predecessors for the past two hundred years and could've taken over the modern day world as we know it.
"Izuku Midoriya, you not only did this, but you were the reason I fought with everything I had that night. Young man, you became my hero."
The words spoken from the elder male's mouth were nothing short of praise and admiration. But they meant more than everything to the youth in that moment. Finally, the words he has wanted to hear for so long, were spoken to him by the very person he used to admire with every fiber of his being.
"But, you were also aware of your limitations that night. The pieces that were holding you back were not just that you were short on support items, but the fact that you were forced to overcome the strength of your opponents without no form of back up. Even though they got one lick in, any other slip up would've lost your life, and you are fully aware of that."
This brought Izuku back to reality as faced the truth behind the man's words. He knew that he had to dodge and counter every single attack that was thrown at him less he suffer more injuries without a way to recover quickly from them. He knew that no matter how hard he tried...
There would a come day where support gear and his quick reflexes wouldn't be able to keep up with those who trained their quirks to their fullest for years.
"Which is why I have a proposition." Emerald green eyes looked back up into the cobalt blue. The sun seemed to be shining down on the man in front of him.
"I must reveal the truth of my power to you. There are a few others, Principle Nezu of Yuuei, Detective Naomasa Tsukauchi, Recovery Girl, Gran Torino- the old man you saw the other day- and Sir Nighteye. These five, and now you, are the only ones who know the true secret of my quirk."
Silence covered the area, minus the sounds of crashing waves every five seconds. The teen was at a loss of words. All Might-The Symbol of Peace, and now the former Number One hero- is trusting him with the true secret of his quirk.
"My quirk is called "One For All", and it was not a power that I was born with. In fact, I'm the eighth wielder of this power that has been passed down for generations upon generations. It has the ability to stock up power from one owner to the next, growing stronger with every new vessel. In fact, the very first owner of this power, was the brother of the man who we faced the other night." As much as the teen wanted to go into detail, he knew that he would have to wait. Shock filled his system though, as the first wielder of One For All was All For One's younger brother.
"During the dawn of quirks, villains were quick to abuse their power for their own intentions, whether it was something small or truly evil. The European countries like Spain and Russia were close to falling, and it didn't take long for a small dark age to start to rise. The first heroes rose up to power, and put a stop to it. And the world lived in balance as a sort of Yin and Yang. For where there was darkness, or villains, there would be light. The same would go the other way around.
"However, over two hundred years ago, a man was born with the ability to steal and give quirks to and fro. He quickly rose to the top in the villain world, and the world fell into a new age of villainy. This man's quirk was called All For One, and his name was forgotten to history.
"However, the man had a younger brother. Who disagreed with the decisions his elder sibling was making and instead wanted to protect the lives of the innocents who were being poorly mistreated. But no matter what, he couldn't do much. Because the younger brother was Quirkless." Izuku's mind was being overrun by the visuals that seemed to go on his head. He imagined the brother being born with the power of One For All from the start.
"So, seeing this, All For One wanted to protect his little brother, and gave him a stockpiling quirk that gave the user more strength when called upon. And watched in glee as his brother was hurting himself with every use since it would damage his own body at first." Toshinori looked at his hand, remembering the shock on both of his teachers' faces as he was completely fine after using 100% of the power for the first time.
"But what neither of the two brothers knew at first, was that the younger one did indeed have a quirk, it was just a useless one. The ability to willingly pass along quirks that came from the wielder themself. And thus, the two powers mixed into one, and the birth of the power would rise and be named One For All.
"However, this power alone wasn't enough, and the brother knew that he wouldn't be the one to take the Symbol of Evil down. So he found someone that had the purest heart out of the current generation, and who had the true essence of a hero, and passed along the power of One For All into them. But a few weeks after training the second, he was killed by his older brother, who was too late to stop the transfer of quirks." Emerald eyes widened at the news. His own brother killed him because of that power. "W-what happened then?" Damn that stuttering.
"The second went into hiding, perfecting the power of his own quirk as well as One For All, and found another vessel. The two quickly made the transfer before he too was hunted down and killed. This happened for all of the past wielders, including my master. About six years ago, I faced him myself, and I thought I had killed him then. That was where I got the huge scar on my torso. But I was wrong, and you were, unfortunately, dragged into my mess."
Everything hit Izuku at once, the entire history behind the quirk All Might possessed, the tales of the previous owners being hunted down, and shocking revelation that the quirk wouldn't have existed without the accidental assistance of All For One.
"Young man. Hero-In-Training. I too was born quirkless, and once dreamed of becoming a hero that you will no doubt become if you continue your progress. But, now that you've been targeted, it's only a matter of time before Martial Arts and extremely honed battle instincts can be simply overrun by a man who can easily let loose a concentrated stream of fire, large amount of ice, or even the largest explosion-" A noticeable flinch was made by the teen and All Might took note of it , "-can quickly take you down. I now present you with a choice."
The blonde's hand came down, seeming to hold a ball of pure concentrated power inside that was wanting to be let out. Blue eyes shown against the light of the sun reflecting behind him and the iconic smile was on his face.
"Your actions have proven you worthy. I can no longer bear this torch, and the amount I still have left is to be handed over to the next generation. Now I must ask, Izuku Midoriya. Will you accept the power that has been passed down to previously bring an end to the largest threat the world has ever known, but will now be used to bring hope to the people who can't protect themselves?"
Izuku's pride was screaming at him to turn it down, that it was basically taking a shortcut and would be no different than if he were to accept All For One's offer. That it would just be cheating his way through the system.
... But would it really?
All Might's words and numerous injuries proved that without the help of One For All, if he were to try to pursue a heroic career as quirkless that he would have been killed by now. His own strength would only get him so far before he's taken down by someone with an extremely powerful quirk. If he would accept, then not only is he accepting that truth, but he is also accepting the will of others bringing forth peace.
He knew the correct answer here. There was no doubt about it.
"Very well, Yagi-san. I accept your offer." He reached out and grabbed the hand that radiated pure power. However, he didn't feel a thing.
"Eh? Ne, Yagi-san, wasn't I supposed to gain your power?" He looked up at the former Symbol of Peace, who was trying his damndest to not laugh.
"You see, Izuku-Shounen. The transfer is not done simply by-pfft-shaking my hand." The man released the hand and watched in amusement as confusion took over the face of the boy.
He plucked a singular strand of hair off his head. Holding it in front of the teen before him.
"In order to gain my power-" He put the strand in Izuku's hand and buffed up into his hero form, "-EAT THIS!"
Silence covered the beach once more, only the waves crashing against the shoreline.
"EHHHHHHH?!" Everyone in the nearby district heard the shout, but figured that it was just their imagination.
"Okay, Yagi-san. I think I may have heard you incorrectly-" He didn't get to finish because the blonde could no longer contain his laughter.
"Gomen, gomen! It's just that I've waited for so long to finally say that myself!"
The greenette stood in shock, confusion, and utter awe as he saw his former idol rolling around on the ground like a little kid.
He then grew tired of these antics and walked up to the still laughing man.
"SHUT THE FUCK UP!" And landed a large hammer fist on the blonde, breaking the concrete as the elder was imprinted.
"Tch, I accidentally broke city property again." Releasing a sigh as Yagi pulled himself out of the ground, albeit with a large bump on his head.
"So I just have to eat this and I gain the power of One For All, right? Well do you at least have anything to wash this down? Seriously I wonder if there's any hair gel in it from how stiff it is."
"SO MEAN!" All Might coughed up a little bit of blood as he rubbed his head while pointing a finger at the teen.
After a little bit of bickering, and a small trip to a nearby vending machine later, Izuku stood with stand in his hand, and a soda in the other.
"Well... bottoms up." He inserted the hair into his mouth, and trying to get it into his stomach a couple minutes later, he felt the rush of power go through his veins. Red lines went along his body and his emerald eyes shown brighter.
"Oh... my... GOODNESS!!!" Buffing up for one last time, he watched in awe as small amounts of lightning seemed to be coming off the teen. He couldn't hold it for long as he reverted back into his civilian form. Smiling to himself, he sent forth one last mental message to the past wielders and the quirk itself.
'Goodbye, One For All...'
"Woah... So this is the power of One For All, huh? Amazing..." He turned towards the ocean, and reared back a fist. All Might took notice of this and quickly went to find cover from the sandstorm that was fixing to arise.
"Dragon... FIST!" Throwing the punch, he unleashed an extreme amount of pressure going across the water, quite literally splitting apart the ocean as if he were Moses. The water then came crashing back down as numerous car alarms nearby went off, as the amount of pressure spread around and messed up their internal systems. The two heard this and quickly attempted to sprint away, whenever Izuku stopped in pain.
"Izuku-Shounen, what's the ma-WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR ARM?!" Looking at the right appendage it was all bruised up and broken.
"Hehe... I guess my arms can't handle the full power of One For All, yet."
All Might felt his heart drop a little at those words, as well as surprise take over as he never remembered injuring himself due to his quirk at all. But he shook it off and grabbed Midoriya's good arm, and drug him to the high school where he was currently teaching.
Izuku took his first steps into U.A. that day, but he damn sure wanted it to be his last. Once they arrived, Recovery Girl met them and had healed him, albeit after smacking the two of them for being reckless. She then brought Nezu in and requested him to allow the teen to use their facilities with other pro heroes watching as to make sure he can get a quick handle on his quirk. The request was accepted and Izuku was sent home, after getting an earful from his mother over why he was back so late. He explained a partial truth, claiming that he was meeting up with his old mentor from his internship and that he had been doing a little training. The two ate and talked back and forth, catching up on lost time due to studying across the country.
When they finished, he promptly took a shower, brushed his teeth, and slept the night away, readying himself for his new session tomorrow.
Gran Torino took over his One For All training after All Might had done a terrible job of trying to explain. He told the kid instead of trying to focus all the power into one singular limb, or even a percentage of the power into said limb, he should focus the maximum percentage available all over his body.
As if something finally clicked, he activated One For All over his entire being, feeling almost complete with the form as he needed to just increase the percentage allowed while being able to move.
Cranking up the amps, he went from ten to fifteen, where he still felt completely fine. Turning it up to twenty, he still felt good as new. 25 there was slight strain, but he could still control its output as well unleash air attacks at a strength that blew apart a couple of the buildings there. Finally, at 30%, he felt the strain all over his body, and found that this was his maximum.
The next week and a half was spent training at Yuuei's Unforeseen Stimulation Joint, where he was able to gain control over the quirk. But with his fighting style, it was a major difference whenever he finally had something else other than support gear to pack a punch behind his attacks. Of course, his past in martial arts and kickboxing taught him to be able to use his newfound strength at a more powerful level. But he still preferred to use his weapons if possible and figured out a way to strengthen his attacks; and it didn't hurt to use his iron soles for the extra power, which was now increased with the strength of the blows.
About two days before he left, he decided on something that he knew would either kill his spirit more than the Symbol of Chaos could ever hope to imagine, or finally give him some closure.
"Hey, ma. Have you talked to Aunt Mitsuki at all?" He was vacuuming the couch, making sure no crumbs were left in the cushions as he started his conversation. His mother was currently in the kitchen, washing down plates and putting them aside to dry off.
"Oh! Well, we've had a couple lunch dates here and there, but we haven't really hung out besides that." Putting aside another dish on top of the towel on the counter, she answered his question. "Why do you ask?"
Taking a deep breath, he mentally prepared himself before making his request.
'Here we go.' "Well, I was just wondering, since I haven't seen her or Uncle Masaru since the day before I moved to Tokushima. Or even Ka-erm, Bakugou since school. I thought that maybe we could all meet up and get dinner somewhere? If, uh, that's okay with you of course."
He could hear the sponge stop being grinded against the plate in her hand, as he looked over to see his mother with wide eyes and her body still. "Mom?"
"It's fine with me seeing as I'll be meeting up with my friends, but are you sure you want to meet up with Katsuki-kun after what he did to you all those years?"
She looked at him, uncertainty in her eyes, but he met her orbs with his own, glowing with determination and resolve.
"I'm sure. I haven't been able to fully cast off his shadow out of my life, and if I don't then it may interfere with my work in the future. Seeing as I'm in town, now's a good a time as any."
She kept her gaze a little longer, before closing her eyes and taking a breath. "Very well, I can call her and ask the whole family to meet up somewhere. Do you want me to tell them you're coming or are you going to surprise them?" "I'll surprise them."
A few hours have passed since that conversation, and the Midoriya duo were getting ready for their night out with old friends, acquaintance in Izuku's case.
They decided on an eatery in town near the train station that's been known for the father-son duo serving up amazing food at a very affordable price, which was surprising because of the quality alone and was even more shocking that despite no matter how many people would show up, be it after school or work, the two never fell behind on orders and would always serve them up with a smile.
Since it wasn't a fancy place, Izuku didn't have to worry about dressing nicely (currently the nicest thing he owns is his school uniform). So he through on a pair of relaxed-fit jeans, his white "t-shirt" t-shirt, a green zip-up hoodie, and his trademark shoes. His mom taking the same route as she wore a pair of tight-fitting jeans, a blue shirt witha pink cardigan, and a pair of white tennis shoes.
They walked through the small downtown area, admiring the night sights and everyone walking by engaging in conversations. They finally see their location and walk on in, seeing the place not packed, but with a sizable amount of customers. But the smell invaded their senses as the two chefs were cooking up a mighty feast.
As the entrance was to the side, only Inko was visible as the rest of their possee were sitting at a table, drinks there as the parents had a couple bottles of beer, and the son having a cola.
She looked at her son, and smiled as she went on ahead and waited for the right time to make his presence known. Taking a seat across from her friends and their son, she immediately greeted them.
"I-chan! It's good to see you!" "Good evening, Midoriya-san. How are you doing?"
Waving her hand, she immediately replied. "Hey Mi-chan. And good evening to you as well, Masaru-kun. I'm doing well, how about yourself?" "Just fine, thank you for asking."
"Katsuki!" Mitsuki growled through clenched teeth, making the blonde jump as she continued. "Be nice and say hi!"
"Shut it, you hag!" He earned a smack across the back of his head for that one. "Argh. Yo, Auntie-OW!" Another smack for his misdemeanor.
"Hello to you too, Katsuki-kun. How's the U.A. life treating you?"
"Well, Sensei announced that because of the recent attack on another school and the kidnapping of some extra student, we're going to have to move into dorms in a couple weeks. He also wants to be kept out of our groupchats because of Deadbolt constantly asking stupid questions all the time."
Inko's shoulders stiffened up at the mention of the attack, something that did not go unnoticed by Mitsuki who raised her eyebrows. "I-I see. Well, at least the staff is concerned about your well-being. And you shouldn't really talk about your classmates like that."
"They're just a bunch of extras, but a couple of them are worthy contenders for a good figh-OUCH! STOP THAT YOU OLD HAG!" Another smack followed as the two level-headed members of the party could only sweatdrop.
"Anyways Ichan, why'd you call us out here? Not that I'm upset or anything about it, but it was kinda out of the blue, y'know?" Mitsuki finally asked the question while she held the top of her kid's head, forcing him down as if he'll jump out and attack everyone on site.
"Well, it wasn't actually my idea to bring you out here." "Really? Then whose was it?"
Pointing her hand towards the entrance, Izuku started walking towards the table. "It was my son's."
The Bakugou family all looked behind them, each of their faces falling into shock at the appearance of the teen who now had a fresh scar going over his eye.
"Hey everyone. It's been a while, hasn't it?" No one answered for a second, before Mistuki quickly jumped him, enveloping him in a large hug as she started getting a little teary eyed.
"Izu-kun! I was so worried about you when your mom called me that night! Then you show up on the news and everything that happened after was just terrible, especially not knowing if you were alright or not." He quickly wrapped his arms around her frame, reassuring her that he was alright and had made it out alive, though not mentally well.
No one spoke for a second, the only sounds in the eatery being the grilling, and the blonde woman's crying.
But of course, all good things must come to an end.
"Deku?! The hell, man?!" Leaping over his spot at the table, and right in front of the now more mature teen who just got finished consoling Mitsuki.
"Sigh, Of fuckin' course. Alright then Katsuki, let's step outside and walk for a bit. Auntie, Uncle, Ma, we'll be back in a few minutes. The other teen followed him, still put off by his former friend now calling him by his name instead of the old nickname he recieved all those years back. The adults talked for a bit, and Inko explained anything towards Izuku's unfamiliar tone due to being mentally scarred from the night as it transpired, but that only he could tell them what truly happened.
A few minutes in silence passed between the two teens as they walked around the block. Katsuki was in shock still from the events that had transpired in the diner. He wanted to speak about what his mom meant, where he went, why he didn't even try to apply for the hero school he desired for so long, and why he seems... off.
As they rounded the second corner, the greenette immediately stopped and sat down on a street bench, prompting the blonde to sit beside him, though he knew he wouldn't; his theory was proven correct as Bakugou stood in front of him. Before he could even open his mouth, Katsuki immediately asked the first question of their long awaited reunion.
"Where have you been the past few months? I thought for sure I would've at least seen your quirkless ass attempt the entrance exams for U.A. So why didn't you?" It was more of a demand than a question, but it was more calm the usual so he didn't mind it.
"I got offered an opportunity to be in the hero course at Shiketsu over in the Tokushima district."
"I have a very hard time believing that you got scouted to attend a hero school, let alone the top one in Western Japan."
"Believe it, Sparky Boom-Boom Man." "You fucker." "Hey, I didn't abandon one of their only real friends when he was powerless."
Ruby eyes immediately went to the ground.
"So... how did it happen? There's no way anyone from the administration just randomly found you one day and decided 'Fuck it. Quirkless it is for this class.'"
"Actually... that's exactly what happened." "You're joking." "No lies here."
"What the hell?! How?!"
"Well, I spent the rest of my time after Aldera cleaning beaches, winning martial arts tournaments, and so long and so forth. But, yeah. One day I was approached by the principal approached me and gave me an offer I couldn't refuse. He met my mom, she gave the okay, and before I knew it, I was driving all the way over to Tokushima."
Smiling at that one day on the beach during one of his training sessions, the words he heard that day never ceased to warm his heart and mind.
"Well then, I guess... congratulations... It's not U.A. so I'm still leagues above you, but I suppose you're finally able to reach your dreams as the first quirkless hero." A long exhale from the taller teen went through his lips, but he didn't notice the flinching of the freckled boy beside him. "Anyways, care to explain why my mom got all upset over you being missing? And what she meant about you being on the news, Deku?"
This is where it would get a little rough.
"You mentioned how U.A was getting the students to move to the dorms because of a recent villain attack on another school, correct?" A curt nod from the blonde allowed him to continue his explanation. "Well, that was my school that was attacked."
Katsuki's eyes widened quite a bit. He heard about the attack and felt some concern when he learned about the news. He wasn't worried that villains would just start to attack everywhere, but was a little peeved when realizing that the specific group that have attacked them before in the beginning of the school year, were starting to make their mark, proving that by attacking other schools and even going as far as to kidnap a stu- wait...
"Deku. You weren't... the one they-" "Kidnapped? I was. My classmates were filling in for some heroes who recently retired on a nearby island in the East China Sea. We had all just finished our patrols for the night and met up at the beach for one last hoorah when the League arrived. Since there was only ten of us, and only four of us, myself included, I had the rest of the class retreat back to the town to protect the citizens, except they weren't after them."
It took the blonde a second, but he finally came to his conclusion. After hearing the villain All Might faced was using multiple quirks, he figured that if they were to have the greenette join their side, then he could have a power of his own to wreck havoc to all of those who've wronged him in the past. He didn't want to think about what would've happened.
"Yeah, so after Yang was knocked out, and Inasa was starting to wind down, I continued fighting alone. But without any backup, or even any power against multiple who were on the run, and even on the most wanted list, you can imagine how quickly I was caught off guard whenever I turned into a marble and was in their grasp." Rubbing a hand on his neck, his mind flashed back to how closely he was facing death.
Ruby eyes stared in disbelief, facing the teen who somehow managed to survive a night that would make most pros quit their job on the spot. "So, how were you able to escape?"
"I didn't have to try very hard. For a powerful bunch, it's surprising how none of them paid attention to their surroundings. After declining offer after offer, they finally agreed to, well, have my head torn off from Magne's quirk. Oh, her power allowed her to give a magnetic push or pull on people. Push if you're a female, and a pull for males. But what they didn't know was that I was undoing the bolts in my chair. So when I felt my head being pulled towards the weird masculine lady, myself and the chair came crashing. They also didn't do a good job at checking for equipment because I still had a couple of items and my leg braces on. All Might showed up, I get transported to that ugly bastard All For One, he scared the absolute shit outta me to the point where I almost agreed."
"Why didn't you?"
"Huh?" The question coming from the blonde stunned him. "Well, what do you mean? Obviously I could do better then a bunch of ragtag group of villains."
"Except they weren't just any ragtag group of villains. They organized a well thought out attack on your school, and even successfully managed the snatch you away. Not only that, they apparently had a fall back incase their main location was compromised by the Heroes. And plus, you had every single right to become a villain. Think about it, up until you left Aldera, you were treated as the outcast of our year, and years above and below us. If anything, your breaking point could've been when you literally smacked me with a desk. So I'll ask again. Why didn't you join?"
He looked down again. Despite his choice, Bakugou made an excellent point. He had every incentive to join and get payback for all the years he was treated like shit, for all the years his name was dragged through the mud and him along with it.
"You remember that promise we made when we were still dumb little kids before we got our quirks, well you got yours?"
"Yeah, but what does that have to do with anything?"
"I meant it. I'm going to become the hero that I've always dreamed to be. It doesn't have to be number one, or even the top ten. I told you that I was going to become a hero, with or without your help. But when that villain pointed out everything you just said, and I looked at his open hand, that wasn't my train of thought." Taking a breath, he continued.
"In that single moment, I thought of Mom. And a certain auburn haired, doe-eyed girl that I've been seeing. Those two, their smiles, their carefreeness, and the amount of times they've both worried about me showed me why I couldn't and would not accept that bastard's offer. I wanted to protect them, more than anything. I knew I could've died there, but I made my decision, and kicked that villain into the wall. Because those two, right now, and my classmates, mean the absolute most to me, and I'd be damned if anything were to take them away."
His eyes no longer faced the ground, or even the sky. Instead, they bore straight into Katsuki's with such fierce determination that it made the blonde shiver a little bit. Because behind those glowing orbs, a raging fire could be seen, one that was just waiting to be unleashed onto whoever wished to cause him harm.
"That's a good reason." Releasing a sigh, the two got up from their resting point and released a small stretch. "Well we better get back to the eatery, otherwise our moms will throw a fit; well, mine will. Yours will probably cry her eyes out."
"That she would, Katsuki. That she would."
"Oh. And Izuku?" "Yo?" "Sorry for the way we all treated you these past few years. I know that won't make up for what we've, and mostly I've, done, but I just needed to say it."
Smirking, he held his fist out for the taller boy to bump. "Don't sweat it. If it weren't for all of you fuckers, I'd probably be killing folks right now who don't deserve it." The blonde bumped his fist to the outstretched appendage, a small chuckle leaving his lips. "And go back to Deku. Hearing Izuku from your mouth after all these years is hella weird, Kacchan."
"Alright Deku. Whatever you say man."
Sure enough, the family was getting a little worried considering it was twenty minutes since the two went outside, and the moms were surprised neither of them had bruises. Masaru looked more relieved considering the food just got there and now he could finally stuff his face in without complaint from the missus.
The two families left the eatery, thanking the cooks for their food and promised to stay in touch more. Katsuki told Izuku that whenever he feels like he's up for another ass beating, don't be afraid to call him; to which he replied "Don't worry. I know a perfect spot and I have the desk there incase you want a reunion."
Instead of spending the last day training, he spent it with all of his neighbors by helping them out with small stuff. Of course he was paid to do it, but he didn't mind. Lunch can be expensive after a while.
He finally told his mom the news of his quirk manifesting, and explaining that it was a strength quirk instead of telekinesis or fire breathing. She covered him in hugs and made him her most famous Katsudon.
The two enjoyed that day as it was their last day together before he returned to the dorms for school and to meet back up with his classmates who were expected to return in two days.
Driving up to Yuuei the next morning, after another tearful goodbye from his mother, Izuku explained to Toshinori, and Sorahiko that he needed to have his own confidants in the story of his quirk, saying that All Might's contacts are his own, and that he needed his own inner circle. The two agreed, and found that Camie Utsushimi and Yoarashi Inasa would be the two that were told the truth, as well as Rikamaru-Sensei. With that, he drove back to Shiketsu High, promising that he would treat the two to dinner someday. Upon arrival, he was told that the rest of his class would be returning, and that a new hero had taken over full time for the island.
He was happy, his friends were all alive and well, this was arguably the only time he really got confirmation over his classmates and their well-being so of course he had a shit eating grin on his face when he pictured the surprised look that would be on his class' face. But that would wait. For now, he set out cleaning everyone's room, Mora's was the worst as it was often covered in hair and spent almost half of the day on his room alone. Good thing he was good friends with one of the teachers, because they brought him a couple beers for whenever he finished a room.
Inasa's was surprisingly spotless and just needed a small bit of dusting. Camie's room was a slight mess, but he cleaned it up fairly quickly. He spotted her diary, and while his inner thoughts were begging him to go through the book, he decided not to and left it alone. The small breeze from the open window to air out the room blew open the book to a page that was about him as he walked out, unaware of the contents inside.
The rest of the dorm was then picked clean and he wiped his forehead from sweat. He knew everyone would be thrown for a loop when they walked inside dorms upon their arrival. But he then made himself dinner, showered, and then promptly went to sleep, awaiting for the next day where he would finally see his friends after three weeks.
Friends... That was a word that he hadn't called anyone in a long time, and the thought made him smile as he drifted off to dreamland. It would be the perfect end to an extremely stressful three weeks for the teen when he awoke and got to see the rest of his friends when they returned.
Camie was the first one to enter the building, a sullen look on her face as she heard no news about her friend and classmate. And news of All Might's retirement had only just reached them as well, but they had no way of watching what happened while they were returning from the island. Because of her being lost in her thoughts, she was unaware of the beautiful smells coming from the kitchen. Instead, she just walked up to her room, put her stuff on the side by her desk, and collapsed. She would check his room in a second, but she needed some time to let herself finally release all the bottomed up emotions that were previously being held back. She noticed the unusual cleanness of her room, remembering that it was a slight mess whenever she left, but thought nothing more as she curled into a ball and started bawling.
Her friend, class representative, and honestly her crush had sacrificed himself for the sake of everyone being able to live. She knew that it would be in his nature, but she never expected it to happen so soon. She ignored everything around her, the only sound were her sobs. Hell, they promised to go on a date when they got back from that training session, but they immediately had to go to that damned island where everything fell apart.
"D-damn it! sniffle You promised me!"
It was about an hour later when she finally tuned back into reality, and decided to check the news. She started from three weeks ago, to when Izuku was taken from her and her class, and found a couple things.
A couple days after the invasion on their island, there was a raid on the bar that was the hideout of the villains who took the greenette. It didn't go as planned, as Nomu's were teleported in from somewhere and that the League disappeared as well as their president. She learned of the villain All For One, and the Final Battle for All Might. How Izuku landed multiple blows on the villain that could steal and give quirks, and then fended off the League on his own for several minutes before All Might saved him and sent him away.
That gave her hope, and she tried texting the boy, but remembered that his phone was still in her pack because it was left behind on the island.
She shot down again, but continued reading. Learning that for some reason, a massive force split apart the sea for thirty seconds at the beach that Izuku mentioned cleaning up at one point from his hometown in Musutafu.
Her stomach interrupted her searching and she finally agreed. Picking herself up from her bed, Camie finally walked to the kitchen, where the aroma of a wonderful meal invaded her senses. It confused her as she could only remember one of their classmates who could cook like this, yet she still hadn't seen him yet.
Laughter rang in her ears, and cheers as well from the giant living room that was on the bottom floor. She ran quickly to find everyone grouped around the couch, and started to push forward.
Everyone took notice of her presence, and split apart to let her through, and she finally made it to the middle of the room, where she finally found him.
Golden Brown eyes met Emerald Green and the world stopped.
He was alive.
He was here.
He was here.
Tears once again fell from her eyes as she rushed the greenette, tackling him in a hug as he caught her and returned the gesture. The two stayed there, as everyone decided to give the two space; they were aware of how torn up the girl had been after hearing the news, and decided that everyone else could catch up later.
"Camie... Are you-" "Do you know how much you scared me, dammit?!" It was his turn to be shocked at her words.
"When I heard that the villains took you, I was worried that I couldn't do anything to protect you, like you protected all of us. I thought I lost you forever, for fuck sake..." Her body racked with sobs again.
"And then, when we were told that we couldn't leave until a hero decided to take over, I was so... terrified that I couldn't even go out and help you. Just knowing that you were all alone out there, and then I just read about the fight with All For One. What the hell were you thinking taking all of them on by yourself?!" She finally looked back into his eyes with her own tear filled ones.
"What would I have done had All Might not come in time. What would I have done knowing you were gone- knowing you were dead. Izuku..."She paused before continuing.
"Izuku... I would've never had the chance to finally tell you... how I felt, damn you, if you died that day. I would've been broken."
This threw him for his own loop at her words. He wasn't by any means stupid, but due to a long life in solitude, he wasn't as aware to feelings like love and of the sort. So hearing that someone cared for him in such a way, he didn't know how to react.
"Izuku... promise me..." She got up to eye level with him and looked him dead on.
"Promise me that you won't leave me like that ever again."
"...Camie, I-" "Promise me, dammit!"
A second of silence passed the two, their eyes locked with each other's, before Izuku lifted the unkempt hair from her forehead and placed his own against it; closing his eyes as her own were shocked.
"I can't make that promise in our line of work, but I can promise you that I will try my damnedest to always come back to you."
Her eyes filled with tears and she fell into his chest, holding him tightly as possible and never letting go as sobs rocked her body; making sure that he would never get that hurt again.
The two stayed like that, in each other's arms as they stayed on the couch for the night.
He would tell her and Inasa tomorrow, about the truth of One For All. But tonight, he kept her company to ensure that he would always be there.
The next day he brought Inasa, Camie-who was still latched onto his arm-, and Rikamaru-Sensei the news about his newfound quirk. They all agreed to be sworn to secrecy, and went back to their normal lives, and would prepare for the Provisional Licensing Exams that would take place in a few months.
During this time, he and Camie finally went on a few dates before they became official. The entire class through a party and spent the whole night drinking their lives away, relishing in the fact that the next day would be their off day. Where they got the drinks, well a certain teacher would keep mouth shut as she locked a hidden cabinet in her house.
The Provisional Licensing Exam was interesting, to say the least. Only him, Seiji, Inasa, Mora, and Camie were the only first-years deemed worthy to be allowed to get theirs alongside the second-years. There he met Yuuei Hero Class 1-B. Only some of their abilities were known from the Sports Festival as only a few of them had made it to the third event, while the rest were lost in the second. Fighting them would be a bit more frustrating, so the first years agreed to split up in the course, trusting in each other's capabilities to continue on. Inasa of course was the first one done, having created a tornado in the Urban area of the map, manipulating the wind to take out numerous foes while they were caught in the slipstream. None from U.A., but over 100 contestants total from different schools.
Mora was next as he used his body hair to ensnare multiple foes, and using their confusion to tap the weak points, advancing him to the next round.
Seiji, unfortunately, underestimated his targets, and was overcome. Though he managed to eliminate two contestants, he fell one short as a U.A. student used their quirk that turned him into steel, and managed to avoid being turned into a blob. He was struck down, and eliminated.
Camie used her illusions to disorientate other students that were aiming for U.A.-the course of events being dubbed as "The U.A. Crush". A plan where other schools banded together to quickly take out students from the number one hero school in the east. She used this opportunity to eliminate other schools who had no idea of what was happening. She quickly passed and made her way to meet her other classmates.
Izuku Midoriya was caught in a three-way free-for-all. One being Monoma Neito; whose quirk allowed him to copy up to three different quirks depending for five minutes after each activation. This only worked on certain quirks, not all. The other was an opponent who was able from Utsubetsu High school, their quirk allowing them to morph into a giant tank with how much damage he receives. This is only until he takes up too much, where he will then shrink down and lose all stamina. Izuku being the underdog, as neither knew he had a quirk as he had yet to feel the need to use his power, showed off his incredible martial arts training and analytical mind, to overpower the two opponents. After eliminating the two, he proceeded to knock out another student who was completely unaware of his surroundings. He then moved onto the next round with his fellow classmates minus one.
The four then had to split up for the second half of the exam, having to rescue faux citizens from rubble from a previous villain attack. They each split up and worked with other schools, before another attack commenced. Number Four Hero Best Jeanist was impersonating a villain, known as Worst Pair. Izuku immediately showed his status as class representative, ordering Inasa to assist him in distracting the main villain, Mora and Camie to find others to continue search and rescue, while Kendo Itsuka, fellow martial artist and class representative of Yuuei's 1-B, Kodai Yui, and Tokage Setsuna protected the rescues from the attack made by the smaller "villains".
This lasted until the buzzer was heard overhead, notifying that all civilians have been rescued and the villains were forced to retreat, signaling the end of the exam.
The ninth holder of One For All made quick friends with Kendo and Kodai, exchanging numbers with the two and keeping in close contact with the two; often hanging out with their classmate Tetsutetsu, who could turn himself into steel despite his name. He would often bring along Inasa and Camie, the two going on about shouting things that were manly and awesome while Camie and Izuku would hang close with the two females from the other school.
The four first-years that made it through to the second piece of the exam passed with flying colors, earning their licenses and being able to work alongside pro heroes as heroes-in-training with full allowance of quirk usage.
He was contacted about two months after the exams by his mentor, Aizawa, that there was an important raid going to be happening in a few days and that his power was absolutely necessary. He agreed to attend the meeting and would be informed that the group of heroes gathered would be facing off against one of the last remaining Yakuza clans, the Shie Hassaikai. There he met Rock-Lock, a hero quickly rising the ranks of society, Aizawa, Nighteye, Bubble Girl, Naomasa, Fatgum, his apprentices who were also from Yuuei: Kirishima Eijiro/Red Riot and Amajiki Tamaki/Sun Eater from Yuuei, Ryukyu, her apprentices: Hado Nejire/Nejire Chan, Uraraka Ochako/Uravity, and Tsuyu Asui/Froppy, and Nighteye's apprentice from the same school: Togata Mirio/Lemillion.
They were all informed that the boss was named Chisaki Kai, or rather Overhaul. His quirk allowed him to manipulate any living or nonliving thing just by simply touching said object. Their primary objective was to recover an illegal drug that could either erase, or force an evolution on quirks. This was all witnessed by Fatgum and his team just a week before.
There was a secondary objective that was still a large problem, was to rescue a little girl that goes by the name of Eri. She was found running from Overhaul by Lemillion on one of his patrols, and before he could escort her away, the villain arrived and she ran back to him as to not get anyone hurt.
This enraged him and he looked at the blonde, and assured him that they will complete both objectives.
He exchanged numbers with the students from Eastern Japan's top Hero School, wanting to get to know everyone and to hang out with them when they were finished. They all agreed, and went their separate ways with their mentors.
Izuku and Aizawa were called in for a special meeting with Nighteye, who wanted to talk to them alone. The two knowing the hero was a former sidekick of All Might wondered what he wanted to talk about.
When they arrived at his office, he had Bubble Girl and Lemillion leave the room, and he turned on his soundproofing pads.
"Midoriya Izuku, huh? So you're the one who All Might gave One for All to, correct?" Despite facing away from the windows, his glasses seemed to glare at him.
"Your assumption would be correct. I am the ninth wielder of One for All."
"You do know that you are not fit to have this power, and that fool only chose you off of what he had seen from that singular night. If you are aware of this power, then you should give that power to someone who is more worthy and deserving of the power than some quirkless brat who managed to get himself captured."
Aizawa glared back, and prepared to defend his pupil, but was cut off by Midoriya who rose his arm.
"I assume you mean Togata-san, out there?" Nighteye's glare confirmed the question. "I see. Well, like everyone else who has looked down upon my life, your opinion won't faze me, and you can underestimate me all you want. It won't change the fact that Yagi-san entrusted me with this power, and not him. I can see the qualities in him, but it still doesn't change anything. And besides, you're not my mentor nor my teacher. Aizawa-sensei hired me on this job, not you. I have nothing to prove to you other than the fact that during the raid, I will be on the front lines, save that little girl, and take down Chisaki." The two then rose up, and left the room. They said their goodbyes and returned to their own hotel rooms. Izuku called Camie and the others to inform them of what's happening, and that he would be home in a few days.
The raid came and upon arrival, a large man wearing a plague-mask busted down the gate. He took out a couple of the officers that were summoned but was attacked by Ryukyu and her group. The four girls fought the villain while the rest of the raid squad rushed in and met the first wave. Fatgum's team, Nighteye, Lemillion, Rock-Lock Aizawa, and Izuku went on ahead, leaving the other heroes and officers to fight off the Yakuza thugs.
Finding the secret passageway, the vanguard rushed down to the basement and rushed forward, Lemillion phasing through the walls to quickly cut-off Chisaki while everyone else found their way through.
Sun-Eater got caught up and held his own in a 3v1 situation against Setsuno, Hojo, and Tabe while the rest charged on. He would prove to be victorious, though not without collapsing himself from exhaustion and injuries.
Fatgum and Red Riot were separated after pushing Aizawa out of the way from a pillar that threatened to take him. They faced off against the two thugs Rappa and Tengai. There, Fatgum stores up power after being slugged multiple times with each strike being stronger than the last. He was almost fixing to be overrun until Red Riot busted out his Unbreakable state, reapplying it every time his skin was starting to crack. He overcame his inner turmoil of always being afraid of becoming useless, and deflected the gangster's attack. He unleashed a powerful punch of his own at the villain, but was blocked by an shield brought to you by Tengai. But the punch broke the shield, and Fatgum, who was ironically no longer fat but instead ripped, released his stored-up power and unleashed his own attack at the two gang members, knocking them out while carrying an unconscious grinning Kirishima.
Lemillion had caught up with Chisaki, who was holding Eri while escaping, but was intercepted by two thugs. One of them disoriented his movements whilst they were becoming more and more drunk, and the other forced him to reveal his power. The one who asked the question batted away a thrown bottle from his drunken gang member, and tried firing a shot at the disoriented teen, but he phased through the wall. Going around, he knocked the two out quickly and took off towards Chisaki. They engaged in a battle, with Lemillion getting ahold of Eri and successfully taking on Chisaki by using the full advantage of his Permeation.
Meanwhile, Nighteye's crew got holed up in an area after Mimic started changing the area, trying his damndest to at least capture the Erasure hero, or to kill everyone.
He was unprepared for when Midoriya shouted at the top of his lungs, "WE'RE WASTING PRECIOUS TIME!" and promptly broke apart the wall he was hiding in. Aizawa erased the mans quirk and Midoriya curb-stomped the villain, effectively knocking the man out.
Rock-Lock was separated and had to face on LOV member Toga alone, whilst keeping the chamber everyone was in steady. He was stabbed and felt a little bit of his blood being sucked from him.
Izuku, somehow, felt his presence through the wall and rushed over to break through once more. Before Toga had the chance to even transform, a piece of debris smacked into her. This was enough time for the teen to speed over, and once again roundhouse her to the wall across from them. He bound her, and took away all weapons hidden on her person because he knew firsthand how well she hid sharp objects on her.
"Midoriya! You go on ahead! Currently you're the only one who has the speed and strength to make it to Chisaki and back up Lemillion in time. Hurry!" He gave a nod to is teacher, and powered up to his now available 40% OFA. He was already fast, but now he just seemed to phase out of existence as a dust storm followed.
Breaking through the final wall, he arrived just in time to see the epic showdown between Chisaki and Lemillion reaching its final moments. He felt relieved, thinking that Lemillion could handle the villain whilst he escorted the terrified child to safety, but he noticed a Yakuza thug taking aim not at Lemillion...
...But at the child.
He quickly figured out that he wasn't exactly planning on hitting the child, but for the Permeation user to take the bullet for the girl instead. But, it wasn't a normal bullet he saw leave the chamber...
But it was the final product of the Quirk Erasing Bullets.
The man was pulling on the trigger, the handgun moments away from releasing the round in the chamber as Togata dove in front of Eri with a smile on his face, to ensure the girl would be okay.
His mind raced back to the sludge incident.
To when he saw someone close to him in a desperate yet helpless situation. He couldn't see that again.
But he wouldn't make it in time, as he shot forward with an arm reached out.
'Stop him.'
'Make it in time!'
'GRAB HIM!'
All of a sudden, as if responding to his inner request, a black tendril shot out of his arm, grabbing ahold of the weapon and locking it in place, preventing the gun to be able to shoot the bullet.
Pulling it back towards him, he stomped on it, and broke the sidearm and the only five bullets with it.
But he couldn't feel relieved as he felt immense pain start to overtake his arms, as more tendrils shot out wildly. Before he knew it, his inner subconscious was face to face with a couple of the wielders of One For All, the rest being blurred out.
But the one in front of him was a large man, with a suit and goggles on his bald head. This was Daigoro Banjo, the fifth user of One For All. The man next him was All For One's younger brother, the first wielder of OFA. They reached out to him, and explained what was happening.
"Kid, it seems that you need to adjust to the level of my quirk. You need to not think of it as a tool, but rather, as all weapons should be, as an extension of yourself. Granted, it's much stronger compared to when I used it, but I'm sure you'll manage.
"However, you need to grab a handle on it, and fast. I have a feeling that you're going to need it in this battle." He faded away, leaving Izuku and the First.
"It's as he said. As you know, One For All stockpiles the power from previous users onto the new host, making them stronger. However, it seems to have finally stored up enough power to pass along the quirks to you.
"Ninth, Izuku Midoriya. As you master OFA, you will, in addition, gain six more quirks, including Daigoro's Black Whip. Use them, adjust to them. We will talk more later." He too started to fade away, but told the kid one last thing.
"By the way, tell Toshinori that Nana says hey." And Izuku was sent back to the world, the tendrils seeming to have formed a barrier around him while he was out, but returned to him once awakened.
But what felt like minutes for the young lad, only a few seconds passed in the real world.
Lemillion fell to the ground, still feeling his quirk running through him as he stood back up. He looked over and saw Izuku there, with the broken weapon under his feet.
Overhaul was pissed. Not only did Lemillion not lose his quirk, but the brat who landed a couple blows on All For One had destroyed almost two years of work that he couldn't get back.
His plan to erase the disease known as quirks, had fallen before it could even begin, and he knew that.
Bringing himself back to his senses, Izuku took a look at one of the destroyed bullets, and noticed that in one of the fragments, oozed out a crimson red liquid.
His eyes widened with shock, and he looked over at the girl who was shaking. Noticing the bandages on her arms and the absolute fear in her eyes told him everything as he lost all sense of sympathy.
The liquid inside of the bullets was blood.
Eri's blood.
(Start: To The Limit by Yuki Hayashi)
Overhaul was somehow using the girl to not just torture, but for his own sick creation because of what could be an effect of her quirk.
One for All responded to the sheer anger that the boy felt, as did his body as the percentage rose past the maximum he could use.
One For All Mastery: 60%
His hair started to rise a little, and shown a little. His eyes shown brighter with the increase in power, and the electricity being produced increased.
"CHISAKIIIIIII!!" His form disappeared, and he reappeared back right in front of the Yakuza boss. He sent a powerful kick at the villain and sent him flying on a crash course to the wall.
But he never met his destination, as Izuku launched a tendril at the man and pulled him back to the ground at a harsh speed. Bones were broken as he tried standing back up, using his quirk to take apart and repair his damaged body.
The teen looked at Lemillion with eyes that seemed to tell it all.
"Lemillion. Take Eri, find the other heroes, and get out of here."
"B-but. What about you?!"
"If Eri is captured again, then this whole operation would have been for nothing. Now go!"
The elder teen only stood there in shock at the teen before him, but that seemed to only anger him more.
"Dammit. DO AS I TELL YOU! WHILE I STILL HAVE WHAT LITTLE SENSE OF REASON LEFT!" This jumped Togata out of his stupor as he grabbed the girl, and ran through the whole to rendezvous with the rest of the team to leave the building.
"Now where do you think you're going?!" Kai sent his hand towards the ground, but Izuku appeared before him and grabbed his wrist at a point where his own hand wouldn't be touched.
"I'm going to payback everything you did to her, A HUNDRED FOLD!" He broke the limb and sent a powerful haymaker at the man, driving him into the ground.
Kai's torture continued for a while, the witness being the other two thugs that were decommissioned.
Finally gaining some distance, he repaired his arm once more, though more in pain than the last time. He was finally allowed to breathe as Midoriya took a small break from his beating.
"Damn you brat. You fucking ruined everything. You fucking little shit." Sending his hands to the ground, he created two circular blades out the ground, and held them over his form. "I'M GONNA FUCKING KILL YOU! AND THEN WHEN I'M FINISHED, I'LL KILL ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND THEN FINALLY TAKE BACK WHAT IS RIGHTFULLY MINE! VICTORY WILL BE MINEEE!" He sent the two blades at the teen who quickly dodged out of the way from the attack. But they charged back at him and he was forced to make use of his Cut-in technique that he learnt so long ago. Figuring that all of Chisaki's focus was on the two blades of earth, he sent a powerful flick at the ground infront of the man, blocking his vision, but still somehow being able to make the two blades follow him.
Cutting right, he ran straight towards the man and slid underneath his legs, the two blades following him still. The Yakuza jumped, but was unprepared for when Izuku seemingly materialized out of nowhere and sent a heavy elbow at the top of his head. He then slapped the man silly for a while, the two blades trying to recorrect their course as they were now behind the thug.
"Are you sorry yet?!" "Gonna whiz red...!" Izuku then kicked him back, but he finally caught his bearings and himself. But unaware of his own attack rushing at him.
"Look out behind you!"
"I'm not falling for that!"
"No I'm serious Kai! GET DOWN!"
Veins popped from the man's head as more hives appeared on his face. "THAT IS NO LONGER MY NAME YOU DAMN, UNDERAGED, PIECE OF SHIT, INDBRED, FUCKING DISGUSTING BRA-" He was cut off by his own attack cutting him in half, taking away one of his arms as the other was still damaged and he couldn't repair himself.
"Daddy, I don't want to be the Yakuza Head anymore..." His upper half fell forward as his lower back, blood pooling around him as he was bleeding out.
"Oi... what the fuck!" Powering down, Izuku's hair fell back down in it's abnormal fashion and his eyes back to their normal emerald green. He plopped onto his ass and watched as the Yakuza begged for help. But no one was willing to.
It was at this time that the hulking figure that Ryukyu's team crashed through the ceiling of the cave of the battle, the Dragon Hero on top of him as they fell right on top of the downed villain, crushing the two halves of his body.
His eyes widened as he officially witnessed someone die in front of him. He expected to feel guilty, disgusted at the sight, but he felt nothing. If anything, he understood that All Might was correct in his battle against All For One, and that some villains just never needed to walk the Earth again if they're willing to risk everyone's lives on the way for their true objective.
He stood up, feeling the side effects of using the most he could muster from One For All, and felt his arms burning. Uraraka and Nejire-who wanted to go by this name- helped him out of the cave while their boss flew upwards. The battle was over. When he arrived at the top, he found Togata with Eri still in his arms, and the rest of the vanguard there except for Fatgum and Kirishima, who were rushed to the hospital in for their injuries to be treated. Aizawa informed him about Eri's current situation about the future, and he agreed with the terms. But before everyone could fan out and go home, a rumbling occurred from the pit he just came out of.
Chisaki was still alive.
He looked inside, and saw the swirling mass of the three figures of Yakuza, the one who shot the weapon and the giant. The mass fused together, and this thought terrified Izuku.
Kai Chisaki was not only to change the properties of mass or repair injuries, but he was also able to fuse with others and increase his power.
A new giant rose, and flew out of the hole. Everyone fell back, Togata was fixing to run with Eri in his arms, but then Chisaki spoke.
"ERI! YOU DON'T WANT THESE HEROES TO DIE, DO YOU?! I WILL KILL EVERYONE HERE, INCLUDING THIS ENTIRE CITY BLOCK IF I HAVE TO!" The poor girl was trembling, and ripped herself out of the heroes grasp, unconsciously using her quirk for a moment, where Togata used his to avoid being injured.
This was all the girl needed as she ran through the third year towards the giant.
"No... Don't kill them please! Please no more killing!"
The mask the Yakuza was wearing, seemed to split apart in a bone chilling smile as he spoke next.
"THEN BE A GOOD GIRL AND COME BACK TO ME, AND EVERYONE WILL LIVE!" The terrified child started running through the crowd, dodging everyone's attempt at trying to stop her. She finally made it to the edge of the hole where Izuku was.
"I'll do it! J-Just don't hurt them, I-I beg you!"
"Well, everyone except the blonde brat and the brat who cut off my legs!" He sent his palm towards the group behind the two, threatening to flatten everyone there.
Something clicked in Izuku and Eri at that moment, who both activated their quirk to the fullest to prevent the limb hitting everyone. He grabbed the child, holding her close as he jumped towards the descending hand, readying a kick that sent it back towards the giant at a tremendous speed, knocking away the monster for a moment.
He knew he used all 100% of OFA in that moment, yet he didn't feel the pain that should be there. His legs should be broken, hell his whole body should be broken.
Yet he was fine.
Even his injuries from earlier in the raid were no longer there as they landed in front of everyone again.
He looked at the girl in his arms, noticing a yellow glow leaving her horn. He figured this must've been her power. Not to heal, because some of his injuries from long ago were still there, but his stamina was regained as well. He figured it must've been to rewind an object to a certain point in time, while everything else stayed the same.
Setting the girl down, he looked her in the eyes, not with stern, but with awe.
"Is this your power, Eri-chan?"
"Y-Yes. But he always said it was a curse, and that I could only destroy with it, like I did with my father."
She must've been talking about whenever it first manifested and it was uncontrollable, to the point where she rewound her father to a point in time where he never existed.
'That must be how Kai was using her to create the bullets.'
"Eri-chan. Don't listen to him, your power is anything but a curse. It's a blessing, and you just have to learn how to use it to your fullest potential."
Noticing Lemillion's torn cape still wrapped around her, he gently grasped the item.
"Are you scared, Eri?" The snow-white haired girl nodded, her lower lip curled into her mouth as her upper quivered. Tears threatened to fall from her eyes, but he quickly reassured her.
"It's okay to be scared. You don't have to always be brave. I mean, I'm shaking in my boots knowing I'm going to have to be fighting that." He pointed at the returning form of the Yakuza monster. "But I know something, that even when we're scared, that's when we have to stand and rise. I'm standing back up because if I don't, he will kill all of my friends and innocent people. He won't keep his promise about leaving us alone if you go with him. He will still try to kill us."
Crimson eyes widened at the truth of the words, and she didn't want that to happen. She held onto him tighter, and never wanted to let go of him.
"But Eri, I can't do it alone. I'm going to need your help, and together we will protect everyone." He started powering back up, but at a safe pace to protect the little child holding onto him. "Will you help me in protecting my friends, Eri-chan?"
"Y-yes. I'll help you Mr..." she trailed off, not remembering his name.
"Call me Izuku, Eri."
"Okay, Izuku-san." He took the torn cape and wrapped it around his back, forming a small basket for the girl to sit in. Activating her quirk, he powered up to 100%; acting as a counter since he was destroying his body as she rewound it, effectively restoring it. But he knew he had to finish this quickly, for Eri was releasing everything she had because she couldn't control her Rewind yet. So before his body collapsed, or her stamina was reduced, he made way, and shot off faster than ever before at the villain.
Green lightning now protruded from his eyes turning it into a teal blue color, his hair standing straight up with the same color as power literally radiated through his entire being.
He had one objective, and he will succeed.
He must take down Chisaki.
The Yakuza extended several tendrils at the teen, who jumped and dodged each one sent his way, skating across one as another whizzed right in front of him. Jumping forward, he seemingly flew with intense speed towards the thug, effectively breaking through the defenses and landed a kick that sent the boss skyward, following shortly after.
And thus, round two took to the skies, with an enraged and ballistic Chisaki fighting and trying to at least touch the Ninth user of OFA at 100%. Infinite 100% with Eri attached to his back.
Chisaki sent forth several tendrils, no longer caring about just the teen. It broke apart multiple buildings and some scratched against Izuku. The teen was lucky that Eri's power rapidly healed him. Kicking himself away from another attack, he flew towards the Yakuza, and delivered a powerful blow that torn apart the lower portion of the villain's body.
The teen knew he had to avoid being touched once by anything that had a fingerprint, lest he were to risk being torn apart completely with no chance of return. So using Black Whip and OFA, he made his way around and fought tooth and nail, giving everything he had to the villain.
Dodge, slight stab, attack. Evade, counter, kick. Strong finger flick, Black Whip to move out the way, and swat an incoming hand away. This continued for a while before Izuku was finally able to make his offensive and quickly turn the tides in his favor.
The battle returned to its former stomping match, and when it was over, Izuku rose above the repairing form of Chisaki, decending towards the mass as they made eye contact.
Releasing a smile, Izuku felt excited as he knew this battle had met its end as he readied his fist once more, planning on running it through the villain who could do nothing but watch.
"100% SUPER DRAGON FIST!" Throwing the devastating blow forward, he made contact with Kai's face, punching his upper body clean off as Eri extended a hand, making contact and defusing the two other Yakuza from him as he was now back into the half of a body that he had before the fusion.
The five fell back to Earth, Izuku rightened himself and landed with extreme precision. In the distance, one could hear Nejire shouting at the top of her lungs, "HE DID A SUPER HERO LANDING!" The three thugs slammed into the ground, the hulking figure being a makeshift pad as the others fell on him, knocking all three of them out.
Smiling, Izuku watched as he started to power down...
Only to be met with excruciating pain once more.
Kneeling on the ground, he reminded himself that Eri still had no control over her power and he lowered his guard foolishly, and now payed the price for it as he could feel himself being torn apart.
But, the pain then stopped completely as he fell forward, catching the girl who was now unconscious with her quirk finally stopped. Aizawa made his way over, his eyes a glowing red and his hair standing. He had erased their quirks temporarily, allowing the two to finally get the long rest they deserved.
For the final time, the raid had ended and everyone could now celebrate.
Eri was to be watched over at the nearest hospital to be watched over by Recovery Girl and Aizawa for the time being, until they could find a way to take care of her without risk of her quirk activating and accidentally killing her future foster family.
Kirishima was treated, and was surrounded by his friends as well as a certain blonde teen.
Fatgum started eating to regain his fat to store up future energy, and was to return to the line of service.
Tamaki had been treated and met back up with his trio of friends, glad that they made it out of the hell-hole alive.
Uravity and Froppy were relatively fine, only slight exhaustion.
Izuku was asleep for three days when he returned to the dorms, claiming to his mentor to let him know about anything referring to Eri. Camie came in a couple times to drop off some homework and to lay with him. She was surprised when he awoke finally and peppered him with kisses and demanded details, to which he told her and then to the rest of their class.
He was made aware that Shota had agreed to adopt the little girl, stating that he and Emi have been wanting to have a kid and that this could help them for future planning.
The rest of his time at Shiketsu Academy included with him constantly hanging out with his group of five, working under Pro Hero Miruko-who taught him some new kickboxing moves and strength enhancement workouts for his entire body-and partying with his class at any given time.
He kept his promise to his mom and visited her every break. On times he didn't go, he spent time with girlfriend Camie.
When he graduated, he received his Hero License that allowed him full pay of hero work and full-time access. He announced to his friends that he would take a two year training trip around the world, and would keep in contact as much as possible.
He wasn't able to keep that promise until he returned home with Camie, who had an engagement ring on her finger and a noticeable bump in her belly. That's right, the two were now engaged and would be having a kid. Mora, Seji, and Inasa were invited to the wedding with Inasa as his Best Man and Mora and Seiji as the Groomsmen, and Itsuka as Maid of Honor with Yui, Setsuna, and another girl named Tsutonori Pony as Bridemaids. The rest of Yui's class were invited along with Yaoyorozu Momo from U.A. Class 1-A's hero course. Inko came in with tears of joy, knowing that she was going to have a Daughter-in-Law, and was grateful that it was the girl that finally broke down Izuku's walls and allowed another person into his heart. Not only that, but she was also excited that she would finally have grandchildren to spoil.
The two were wed in Hawaii, USA and named their firstborn Rika, named after Kyouka's grandmother who recently passed after the wedding.
Izuku decided on becoming an Underground Hero that he heard his mentor from his first year and quickly rose through the ranks of the Underground and was one of the top. He didn't really care for the fame and the money, so long as he could fight strong opponents and save citizens then he was contempt. The title of Number One could go to someone else for all he could care as well as the Symbol of Peace. He saw first-hand at Kamino Ward what exactly happened whenever the former was being overrun. Even though All Might still won the fight, he had to retire soon after, and villains didn't even bother to hesitate on the opportunity that had been revealed before them.
But after all, even though he technically worked behind the scenes, he still did his best to save others, and strove to do his best to take down any villain that he came across in the most quickest and least destructive way as possible. Moving into the Tokyo area, he announced it to his mom after Camie's debut rose high in that area from one of her sidekick jobs.
He was requested by Aizawa once more for another raid on the League of Villains once more. Nighteye Agency was called once more as well as Fatgum agency. They all announced that they needed to hit the League before they returned to their full strength. Details won't be explained, as many pro heroes that were also called in lost their lives that day, but the victory was still in favor of the heroes, having detained all the League. Twice was taken seperately into a psychiatric ward to help his split personality disorder that proved effective after a few years.
But finally, he was able to go back to his normal underground life, bashing villains quite brutally, and saving those in need during the night.
He also found a love for being a bartender, after covering one of his friend's one night. So he found the building that was raided all those years ago, and even bought the same room that the bar was held. Of course, he added a few more lights to the place, a poll table, and even expanded the place a little to make room for the new Bottom's Up that would be opening in a few weeks, and he was hoping for a successful first night opening considering that he did request the nights off for that week.
Everything was going great! It was the opening night of his bar, and already he could see about twelve heroes inside. Some were big ones like Mount Lady, Kamui Woods, and Death Arms, while some were people that just got off from there nine-to-five and just wanted to visit Margaritaville.
About ten minutes into opening, he was shocked again as he was treated to three more heroes; in the top ten, no less! Two of them looked familiar while one was a person he was extremely familiar with. As the three sat down, he notified them that he would be there soon, and sure enough, the female of the group was one of Kendo-chan's and Kodai-chan's friend from Yuuei, Setsuna Tokage. Of course, he recognized Eijo-bro immediately, and Katsuki showing up surprised him, but he just shook it off and waited for the blonde to recognize him first before saying anything. If he didn't, then he'll just ram his fist through his face and send him into another table.
After serving their drinks, he and Eijiro caught up while also learning a little more about the green haired woman that accompanied them. The two hit it off well and became quick friends.
Katsuki finally recognized him, and demanded to know why he was working here instead of being on the hero billboards.
"Kacchan, or Ground Zero now, huh? I'm underground. Like Eraserhead-sensei. Sure I work mostly at night, but I'm on paternal leave from hero work as Camie's expecting another child. But don't worry, I'll still kick your face in whenever you're ready."
"Oh yeah?! And what makes you so sure about that, huh?!" The two pounded foreheads together and looked like they were about to throw hands, the whole bar getting ready for the fight that looked like it was about to commence. However, they all released a breath they didn't know were holding when the two heroes started cracking up in laughter. The blonde male congratulated the greenette, and wanted to be there for the birth this time around to which he agreed.
After closing for the night, he waved goodbye to his friends and drove back to his house in the countryside of Tokyo. Even though it may not look like much on the outside, the interior may as well looked like a million-yen home, as Camie wanted the more "Live in luxury, yet in plain sight" lifestyle.
Upon entering, he locked the door behind him, set the keys on the counter, and made his way upstairs. Not bothering to shower and only took his shirt off, he changed into some basketball shorts and laid in bed with his wife and child, wrapping the two up in a hug as he received a sleepy kiss on the cheek from his loving pregnant woman.
Going to sleep, he remembered all that brought him here, and smiled warmly at the memories.
'Thank you god, for another chance at a lovely life.' And away to Dreamland he went.

Author Note:
So I had a lot of fun making the nicknames for the characters as they were what I called them my first time watching the show.
This project has officially reached its one year mark and I'm greatly excited to be able to finally upload it. I may, later on, divide it into multiple chapters, but for now, enjoy it as the one-shot.
Each section of in-between arcs took anywhere between a week, to a few months for each one. And believe me, it was hard trying to find a satisfying ending to this story despite the many words I've written (and deleted just as much). Before this product, it was originally going to be split between the lives of Izuku at Shiketsu and Katsuki at U.A. until the bar scene. But I scrapped all of Katsuki's story (30,000 words nearly in itself) and just continued on with Izuku's. I could've went longer, but that would've been an even greater amount. Maybe I'll do one for Katuski's side of this story, but that's for a later date.
I hope you enjoyed, and even if you didn't, tell me which parts you though could've used some work and I'll try to edit and rework it.
But for now, just like my other fics, enjoy this nice blooper reel I've made for you.
Ciao
BLOOPERS AND DELETED SCENES!!
Deleted Scene: Pitcher Izuku
The explosion knocked Izuku back a bit, but he didn't let that get to him. Using his increased strength, he picked up the desk and literally threw it at the ashen-blonde as if he were pitching a fastball. The force knocked Katsuki into the wall and outside as he crashed into the Koi pond outside, his textbooks and notes all soaked.
"GET BACK UP HERE SO I CAN KICK YOUR ASS, CUNT!"
Deleted Scene: Rooftop Fight Scene but it's Smash Bros. Shiketsu Battle Training
After correcting his course, Izuku landed a harsh ace kick on top of the blonde's head, sending him to the alleyway below. If one looked closely enough at the moment of contact, some would say they saw time stop for a moment as everything else but the two teens faded and the loud sound of the staff slamming against flesh was heard; followed up with Yang falling to the ground and as he made contact a large beam of light was made with a loud "GAME" was heard.
"And the winner is... IZUKU!!"
He jumped into the frame and did a fighting pose with his staff in hand. "C'mon, I know you could've tried harder!" The screen then showed Yang's angered face as he was arguing with the announcer that it was an illegal shot. But nothing was done.
Deleted Scene: Shiketsu Workout session during the Sport's Festival
A few weeks passed and the class were having a little hangout session at one of the small facilities that Shiketsu owned, taking full advantage of their time to either spar, lift weights, or even just both.
Izuku was benching Camie as Hatabe and Yang cheered him on, pushing him to go further until his arms were dead. The rest of their class was doing their own thing on the other side.
They were enjoying themselves as the music blasted from the stereo in the middle of the room.
At least they were until a cannon ball blasted through the roof, crushing the system that they were using.
It was at this moment that Inasa made his appearance through the hole.
"Guys! Something awesome just happened at U.A.'s Sports Festival!"
A sweat drop appeared on everyone's face, aside from Camie's who was clinging onto the greenette like a lifeline.
"No shit, Sherlock."
Deleted Scene: All For One and Izuku's Gun
"Sorry, old man. But I've already made up my mind. I'm getting my own version of revenge and I won't need the help of a quirk to do so. All I need is my heart!" Izuku jabbed a thumb at his own chest, grinning like a madman as he stared down the Symbol Of Terror.
"Why, that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever-"
"And with this gun I found." A click was heard as the magazine was loaded and a bullet entered the chamber.
"Wait, what?!" And a loud bang was heard, as news of the former nemesis of All Might was killed in self defense by the green haired teenager who was captured at the hands of the League of Villains.
Witnesses say there were more than one shot, some claiming that the teen unloaded the entire round into the villain even after he died.
Blooper Plus Behind The Scenes Interviewwith Izuku, Shigaraki, and Magne
"So, Izuku." The reported started, having to hold back his excitement at meeting his three favorite actors from the movie. "How many times did you have to reshoot the scene in the bar, when the villains were telling you their plan for you?"
All three of them had to hold in a chuckle, for the memories were just that funny.
"Um... hehe... Well Matt, I think we reshot that scene about... four..? Yeah. Four times. And two of them were because we kept on laughing at all of it."
"Oh yeah." Tomura joined in, his hair tied into a bun and his face not nearly as chapped. Hell, his voice was clear too. "Most of that wasnt scripted and we were told the atmosphere, and to just "move on from there"."
Magne still looked the same, though the lips weren't nearly as puffed out as they were in the movie. Her voice was a little more feminine, but other than that, you wouldn't really recognize the difference. "I think the first take we did, Izuku here tried coming up with some nicknames that were just too damn funny."
-cut to recording-
The floating mist of Kurogiri was replaced with Shigakuro in a green suit, same with Spinner. "Well kid, we'd like to formally introduce ourselves. We are the-"
"Holy fuck. I didn't know Barney literally became a ghost?!" Touya was the first one to crack with Himiko following afterwards.
"STITCHES IS HERE TOO!!"
And that sent the rest of the cast into a fit of laughter, as everyone bursted out with Tomura trying his best to calm down.
-take two-
"So what do you say, Izuku Midoriya? Will you join us, or will you keep looking at me like you can't figure out how long it's been since I've used lotion-hahaha!"
"I'm sorry! It's hard to take you seriously when you literally look like a poorly peeled potato- HAHAHA!"
-take three-
"Very well then. Magne, rip his fucking head off."
"WITH FUCKING PLEASURE, MY LORD!!!"
And even more laughter ensued.
-back to the interview-
"But yeah. This guy here is a comedic genius for someone still young." Smacking the teen's back, Shigaraki gave a grin as the room once more cheered.
Blooper: Stand on the X
"Quiet on set!" Directors, actors, and cameramen got to their positions and held in their voices, getting ready for one of the big scenes. "And... Action!"
Izuku slid to the side of the building, a bit closer to the door than where he expected to go. "Well it's been fun guys, but..." He looked down to his left and saw the X that he was supposed to stand on being left vacant. "Uh ohHHH SHIT!" The wall blew in right behind him, knocking him over and burying him under the fake rubble used for the screening.
"I AM... Standing on top of you?" "CUT!!!"
Deleted Scene: Izuku's Back
The Shiketsu students entered the dorms, their long stay on the island finally coming to the end, but still no word was heard about their class President.
At least, it was like that until they heard screaming coming from outside, as the teen they were all thinking about jumped from the roof and trying to land on the small half pipe out back of the building.
"I'M BACK, BITCHES!"
Blooper: Overhaul vs Deku Part i
He noticed Togata still stood there, despite his message about the possible chance of Failure should Eri be taken again.
"Lemillion, where should you be right now?!"
"Looking for the other he-" "LOOKING FOR THE OTHER HEROES!!" "Ah! Okay!" And off the blonde went, not before accidentally tripping and falling flat on his face.
"Does he usually do that?" "Almost all the time. Now shut up and just DIE!!" He charged forward and met the man halfway with his fist pulled back for a punch.
Deleted Scene from the Original Take before rewrite: Katsuki at the Sports Festival
Using his explosions to propel himself further, Katsuki charged forward; his target stood stock still as if trying to break themself out of a trance.
"YOU'RE GOING TO TELL ME THAT YOU CAN'T USE YOUR STRENGTH BECAUSE SOMEONE SAID IT REMINDS YOU OF A MAN THAT TORTURED YOU AND YOUR FAMILY?! THAT'S BULLSHIT!! THE ONLY THING YOU ARE ACCOMPLISHING HERE WITH THAT MINDSET IS THAT HE HOLDS ALL THE POWER AND FEAR OVER YOU!! SNAP YOURSELF OUT OF IT!! ITS YOUR POWER, NOT HIS!!!"
And like a switch, or rather a cutting torch, Shoto's flames burst to life. Engulfing the entire left side of his body and thawing out the ice that encase the right side. But what stood out most, for the first time in that year, a smile- a genuine heartfelt grin- was plastered on his face. His tears evaporating into the blistering heat.
"Thank you... Bakugou..."
"Tch... thank me later. NOW FIGHT!!" And he sent a large explosion to the heterochromic boy's way. An ice slab, similar to the ones the teen was dishing out in the beginning of the tournament blocked it's path, followed up by a torrent of flames from his hands. The blonde used his explosion to dodge out of the way, but didn't come out unfazed. His left wrist shot up in pain from the sudden stop he was forced to make.
"Wow! I could feel that blast from all the way up here! And these announcer booths were made heat resistant after Endeavor's teenage years!!" This only added fuel to the literal fire, as it grew into a condensed-size ball, charging up his last attack.
"You said you would win this tournament, right? Then why would you help your opponent in the middle of a fight?!"
"Because. NO ONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD TAKE A HALF-ASSED VICTORY!! WHAT GOOD IS BEING THE BEST IF YOU CAN'T PROVE THAT YOU TRULY ARE THE STRONGEST?!"
With those words, the Ruby-eyed male started charging up his own game-ender. Using his explosions to propel himself into a spinning tornado of debris, with him at the middle. Any ice that came his way was immediately blasted to shards as his attack raced forward.
"Midnight! Prepare your quirk, those two are going to kill each other with that attack!" Cementoss slammed his hands into the ground, waiting for the right moment to alter the shape of the field so he could catch the debris and the flames before they made contact with the boys.
"I can't! With this amount of wind, it'll be directed towards the crowd!" The R-rated Heroine shouted, trying to cover her face from the blistering heat and the large amount of wind. "It's all on you!!"
"HOWITZER-!" "Flashfreeze-!" The two attacks reached their peak power. Ice spikes charged towards the spinning tornado while the heat from his left hand was too bright to even look at anymore.
Once he had reached a certain distance, Katsuki stopped spinning himself around and prepared his final explosion for the day, while Shoto had started to raise his left fist, stretching out his palm and prepared to fire. The heir saw this and immediately pushing himself to raise three walls of pure cement in between the boys, hoping to catch both attacks.
"IMPACT!!!!" "HEATWAVE!!" And the two launched their special moves towards the other, the explosions taking out one of the walls and started making its way to the second as Todoroki's beam of fire pierced through his side.
The two quirks met head on, and a large blast overtook the field. Most of the audience had to cover their eyes from how bright it was, but all of them were dying to know who won. Smoke littered the entire field, obscuring the entire view. It took a few second, but everyone was surprised to see both fighters at the edge of the ring, looking worse for wear. It would seem the blonde was the first to recover, as he ran straight forward, jumped, and launched himself lightly with a small blast. With his added momentum, Katsuki kicked his legs out and dropkicked the defenseless Todoroki, sending him out of bounds as his back slammed against the floor.
"AND THE WINNER OF THE SPORTS FESTIVAL IS THE FIRECRACKER HIMSELF, KATSUKI BAKUGOU!!!!"
"Told you IcyHot. I can't beat you unless you were at your best..." was all he could manage before he succumbed to the wonders of slumber.
