The Underworld
Sigh. Hades sat on his dark throne gloomily. He had to deal with not knowing anything about what was happening in Olympus.
Maybe I should go up and ask if I can have a spot in Olympus, after all, I am the oldest of the men... One voice said,
NO, you will just be rejected by Zeuus. Even as he thought of the Lord of the Cosmos name, a putrid facial expression appeared on his face.
"DAD?" Nico asked, searching everywhere for the lord of the underworld himself. Hades donned his Helmet of Darkness, sending gloom and fear to all souls around him (Namely Mozart, Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, and Prince)
"Yes Nico?" he boomed, as he emerged from his throne, signaling the music to stop.
"Percy wants to see you!" Nico said, rounding the corner of a giant poplar tree. At first Hades wasn't happy, because he and Percy had a rocky relationship, but then he realized that this would be good, because he could listen to Percy's adventures, and it would maybe lighten his mood.
"Uncle, and Lord Hades, I have come with good news." This was Perseus Jackson's first line as he walked to the small table where Persephone first ate the third of the Pomegranate. Hades was there, smiling at the thought of his plot to get his beautiful wife, well, his wife. He was pulled out of his trance, to those wonderful words.
"And that would be..?" He responded
"Well, I figured I still owe you a favor for letting Nico talk to a son of Poseidon, so I talked to some of the gods, and they will let you have a throne on Mount Olympus!" Shock. That was what Hades was experiencing. He thought it must have been a trick, because he hadn't been allowed up to Mount Olympus in the last couple, How long was it since I was last on Olympus? He thought. It had been so many decades that he just stayed down in the Underworld minding his own business.
"On one condition..." Percy said
"Being?" Hades questioned
"No more people like Zartox."
"Zartox?" Hades had never heard of a man with such a name.
"The man you murdered in cold blood, ripping his soul away from his body, then turning his body into ashes, blowing them across the world, and placing him in the Fields of Punishment?" Percy questioned.
"I have never heard of a man with such a name." Hades stated truthfully. Percy felt confused, sure that was the name the gods had given him. He tried to go through his memories once more, confused to find he had none. When he opened his eyes he just said a simple "Never mind." and flashed out of sight. Hades thought it must have been a misunderstanding, and signaled the music to continue.
