Hiruzen Sarutobi was pacing around a research center with high tech machines looking at a log...?

"So time to finally find out where the log came from" said Hiruzen looking at the report..

— What happened in the past —

"Tobirama, im going to die soon, take the mantle of the second hokage after my death and tell Mito I love her" said Hashirama somewhat weakly

"I understand Elder brother" nodding giving respect to Hashirama

Meanwhile there was another presence at the back of the room watching the conversation that soon left

— After Hashirama's death | In a lab —

Danzo remembered what his sensei said to him "Protect Konoha even if it costs you your life"

So he did what he was told to...

"You get a Hashirama cell!"

"And you get a Hashirama cell!"

"Everyone gets a Hashirama cell!"

— Time skip —

"What do you mean we have no more test subjects" asked Danzo towards one of his subordinates

"Well sir.. you implanted these cells into everyone in Konoha" responded another agent

"Then get some patients from places outside of Konoha" waved off Danzo

— Another Time —

Well now.. everyone had Hashirama cells TM implanted into them courtesy of Danzo.. Somehow though none of them unlocked woodstyle.. or so he thought..

Tobirama was working on some new jutsus.. trying to perfect a new jutsu he just made.. The Replacement jutsu.. Maybe he should change the name.. Ah substitution jutsu.. with a log which came out of nowhere. Afterwards he decided to teach it to his subordinates as it might save their lives..
