Hello all, Holly here! So Pandora asked for some soft domestic bliss for Kobayashi and Tooru and this is what I came up with, I hope you all enjoy it as much as she did. :)

Mornings in the Kobayashi household all tend to run in quite a similar pattern. Tooru wakes early in order to prepare breakfast for both Kobayashi and Kanna, opting to have her own after they have left for the day, then she begins to work on her list of duties for the day. Humming as she chops up sausages for Kanna's lunch box, turning them into small octopi, she looks over at the calendar on the fridge. Kanna has a trip away with her class so she and Kobayashi will have an evening alone; the first in a long time. As that's the case she'll have to think of something special to do to celebrate because she can't just do the same thing that she would every night.

Warm arms wrap around her from behind breaking Tooru out of her thoughts. "Morning," Kobayashi says pressing a kiss to Tooru's cheek.

"Good morning Miss Kobayashi!"

"I'm going to try to be home early tonight as it's just the two of us but there's something I need to pick up on my way home," Kobayashi tells her.

"Okay great," Tooru smiles. "Is this something that I can get for you so you don't have to go out of your way?"

"Nope," Kobayashi chuckles. "It's a surprise."

Tooru can't keep herself from giggling in excitement. "A surprise for me?"

"Yeah and I'm not giving you any hints to what it is."

"Okay," Tooru says, a huge grin still on her face. "Is there anything you would like for dinner tonight?"

With a grin of her own Kobayashi presses another kiss to Tooru's cheek. "Surprise me." A dangerous thing to say as usually that gives Tooru free reign to try and sneak tail meat and other foods from her world into the meal somehow but Kobayashi is in a good mood this morning, clearly excited for tonight.

Her tail twitches with excitement. "Okay, I'll think of something extra tasty."

"You always do," Kobayashi says, letting go of her and going over to the table to pour herself some coffee.

Turning back to her lunch preparations Tooru continues humming, occasionally stealing glances at Kobayashi as she flicks through yesterday's newspaper. At one point their eyes meet and Kobayashi smiles at her and Tooru blushes, turning back to the food. Comfortable silence settles in the room for a few minutes until the telltale patter of Kanna's feet has both of them looking up to see her enter the kitchen and sit at the table next to Kobayashi.

"Good morning Kanna," Tooru says, bringing two plates of food over to the table.

"Good morning Lady Tooru, Kobayashi," Kanna says happily. "Hey Lady Tooru I can't find my blue bag. I was going to take it to the sleepover tonight."

"It's all packed for you already," Tooru tells her as she pours her a glass of orange juice. "It's in the hallway with your shoes and your other school bag."

Kanna's face lights up. "You're the best Lady Tooru!"

Smiling Tooru ruffles her hair. "I didn't want you to forget anything so I went through your list twice just to make sure everything was in it."

"Thank you!"

"Are you excited about your sleepover Kanna?" Kobayashi asks.

Kanna nods. "Saikawa said we have to do a test of courage but I know she'll get too scared and want to hold my hand for the rest of it."

Kobayashi chuckles. "She does have a tendency to do things like that."

"And we're gonna have a barbecue for dinner!" Kanna cries happily.

"The meat should be good," Tooru says. "Your teacher asked me where the best place to get good cuts from so I gave her the butcher's name."

"Yay! Market meat!" Kanna cries, throwing her arms up in the air in excitement.

Reaching over Kobayashi ruffles her hair. "Are you ready to head off?" she asks.

Kanna nods as she finishes off her breakfast. "Let's go Kobayashi! Let's go!"

"Okay, okay," Kobayashi chuckles, downing the rest of her coffee and getting up, throwing a smile Tooru's way. "I'll call you when I'm on my way home."

"Okay," Tooru sings. "Have a good day!"

"Bye Lady Tooru!" Kanna calls, waving to her at the door.

"Have fun at your sleepover," Tooru tells her.

"I will!"

With a fond smile Tooru watches as both Kanna and Kobayashi collect their things and head out, leaving her alone. Returning to the kitchen she begins tidying away the breakfast things while eating her own. Now... what to make Kobayashi for dinner... As it's just the two of them for the first time in months Tooru knows it has to be something extra special to mark the occasion, especially as Kobayashi has a surprise for her. If she manages to create the perfect romantic atmosphere then there's a good chance that they'll actually be able to take that atmosphere to the bedroom without Kobayashi falling asleep.

A flush spreads over Tooru's cheeks and she lets out a high squeal. "Oh Miss Kobayashi you're going to take me to bed, how naughty!" she giggles, cupping her own cheeks in an attempt to hold in her excitement.

With the entire evening to do what they like Tooru has to make sure that everything is completely perfect. On a usual evening Kobayashi is exhausted from a long day at the office but this time Tooru is going to make sure that she is energised enough to still want to do something with their night rather than simply sitting on the sofa. If Kobayashi has something really tasty for dinner then she'll have more energy, which is ultimately what Tooru wants.

Going over to the shelf where the recipe books are kept Tooru begins to flick through her favourite one. Surely there must be something in here that she can cook to get Kobayashi's blood pumping. Obviously there are plenty of recipes that she's done before but this time it has to be different.

"I could use my tail meat inside it to make it really extra special," she muses. Instantly her thoughts conjure up the look on Kobayashi's face – she can see her frowning at the food and then at Tooru before telling her off and refusing to eat it. "Maybe not," she sighs shaking her head and turning back to the recipe book. "I don't want her to be mad at me tonight."

She finishes scouring through the rest of the book but nothing is jumping out at her so instead she turns on the computer, deciding to try the internet instead. Lucoa always said that the way to a human's heart is through their stomachs (a sentiment that Elma seems to agree with whole heartedly) so Tooru has to find something to make Kobayashi love her even more.

There seems to be a lot of weird and wonderful articles from lots of different people, none of which match up with each other. One person says that the best way to make someone love you is to make them something sweet, while another says it's meat, meat and more meat. Frowning Tooru tries website after website (some of which end up having nothing to do with food whatsoever) until she eventually sighs, leaning back against the sofa with a sigh.

"Humans certainly are strange," she says to herself. "This all sounds so confusing and I don't think Miss Kobayashi would be happy if I did them."

Deciding to try one more website Tooru finds a blog where the woman writing outlines how she met the love of her life. Tooru reads, enraptured as the woman says that on their first date she decided to be herself rather than putting on any kind of act and she did the same when she asked her partner to marry her a few years later. Of course Kobayashi would prefer her to just be herself (obviously without her tendency of trying to slip tail meat into the food) rather than going overboard with a lot of unnecessary faff. This is perfect! Instead of being over the top if she makes something that Kobayashi loves then she'll be able to perfectly set the mood. With a new found spring in her step Tooru closes down the computer and bounds over to the kitchen to look through what they have in the cupboards.

Work is never fun, particularly with Kobayashi's boss riding her ass all the time, but now that she has Tooru and Kanna to go home to it's so much more bearable. Having the both of them waiting for her and excited to see her makes the working day so much easier to get through. Knowing that it's just going to be her and Tooru tonight however makes it seem even more special as something that they don't have very often is time together. While it is wonderful to have friends over and a full house a lot of nights of the week, being able to have Tooru all to herself for one night will be amazing.

After stopping off to run her errand Kobayashi pushes her front door open, locking it behind her. "Tooru," she calls, "I'm home!" It takes her a moment of removing her shoes in the dark before she realises that the lights aren't on but there is a faint glow coming into the hall from the living room. "Tooru?"

Before Kobayashi can get very far Tooru steps into the hallway looking soft and ethereal in the backlight. "Welcome home Miss Kobayashi, did you have a good day at work today?"

"It was okay yeah, is everything alright with the lights?" Kobayashi asks still feeling a little confused.

In the dim light she can see a blush dusting Tooru's cheeks and Kobayashi can't help but think that she looks too beautiful for words. "Well as it's just the two of us tonight I wanted to do something different."

Kobayashi steps out of the hallway to see the living room filled with gently glowing candles. Two plates of delicious smelling stew are waiting at the table where more candles are set up and Kobayashi is completely blown away. No one has ever done anything like this before for her and when she turns to look at Tooru she's smiling so sweetly that Kobayashi finds herself falling more and more in love with her. Reaching over she takes Tooru's hand and kisses it.

"This is amazing, thank you so much."

"You like it?" Tooru asks, her eyes sparkling in the candlelight.

Wrapping her arms around her, Kobayashi pulls Tooru in for a kiss. "I love it, thank you."

"I made your favourite stew, just how you like it," Tooru says, taking Kobayashi's hand and leading her over to the table.

"Just as I like it?" Kobayashi asks, a small frown on her face. She knows what Tooru is like when it comes to surprises so there is likely to be tail meat in it somewhere.

Tooru nods. "Yep, I followed that recipe from the book that you love so much and I can promise that I didn't put any of my tail meat in it at all."

Slowly Kobayashi's frown turns into a smile. "Okay great, what's in it?"

"I got some wagyu beef from the market."

"Well it smells great."

Tooru's smile somehow manages to get even brighter. "Shall we eat then?"

"Yeah, let's."

Dinner is delicious and Kobayashi can't seem to take her eyes off Tooru the entire time. She's so beautiful and she looks even more gorgeous in the soft light. She listens attentively when asking Kobayashi about her day and even though it's probably incredibly boring for her Tooru still seems to be completely enraptured by everything she says. Even when they've finished eating neither of them can stop gazing into each other's eyes. A warmth spreads through Kobayashi's stomach as Tooru smiles softly at her, giving her hand a squeeze.

"Was everything alright with the food?" she asks.

"Yeah it was perfect." Kobayashi replies. "You're perfect, thank you."

Tooru flushes in the slowly fading candlelight. "You think so?"

"Of course," Kobayashi replies. "Ever since you came into my life everything has gotten better and now I can't imagine my life without you in it. I love you so much, you really are amazing."

"I think you're more amazing," Tooru says. "You're my entire world and I love you so much too."

Getting to her feet Kobayashi reaches out to take Tooru's hand. "Shall we head to bed?" she asks. "We could leave the cleaning up for tonight and make ourselves comfortable."

Heart skipping Tooru takes the hand offered. "I'd love to."

When they reach the bedroom Kobayashi pulls Tooru in for a kiss that makes Tooru's knees weak. "I got a present for you on my way home today," Kobayashi says when they part.

Tooru's ears prick up. "You did?"

"Yeah." Reaching into the pocket of her trousers she pulls out a small square box and hands it to Tooru. "I wanted to give you something as a thank you for everything you do for me and Kanna."

With a light sparkling in her eyes that makes Kobayashi's heart pound she takes the box and opens it. The light gets even brighter as she pulls out the small glass sakura blossom necklace. "It's beautiful," she says. "Thank you so much!"

"Do you like it?" Kobayashi asks, unable to stop herself from beaming at Tooru.

"I love it so much," Tooru tells her. "It's wonderful and I'm never going to take it off."

Her smile widens as she takes the necklace out of the box and puts it around Tooru's neck. "I'm glad you like it; I saw it, thought of you and I knew I needed to get it for you."

Tooru giggles. "Because it matches my eyes?"

"Because it's just as beautiful as you," Kobayashi says and Tooru's heart flutters in her chest like a butterfly under glass.

She turns to face her and gently cups Kobayashi's face to pull her into a kiss. Kobayashi kisses her back, wrapping her arms around Tooru's waist. Parting her lips Tooru flicks her tongue against Kobayashi's and soon the kiss becomes a heated tangle of tongues. Tooru finds herself moaning softly into Kobayashi's mouth as gentle fingers run up and down her back. She wants Kobayashi so much that she can't think about anything other than having Kobayashi's hands on her skin.

"Miss Kobayashi..." she gasps as the two of them break for air. "I need you."

"I need you too," Kobayashi pants. "I want you so badly, want to feel you."

"Me too," Tooru says, her fingers swiftly beginning to undo Kobayashi's shirt. "Want to make you feel good, I love you."

"I love you too," Kobayashi says, gently but swiftly beginning to remove Tooru's dress. "Can't believe how beautiful and wonderful you are."

Tooru's blush deepens as she reaches for the top of Kobayashi's trousers. "You're amazing Miss Kobayashi and I'm so lucky because I get to be with you."

"You're perfect Tooru," Kobayashi tells her as she lies Tooru down on their bed.

A soft giggle escapes her lips as she pulls Kobayashi in for a long kiss. "You always say the nicest things to me."

"Because you deserve to be told how extraordinary you are," Kobayashi tells her.

"Miss Kobayashi," Tooru says, clinging to her, "kiss me, please!"

Kobayashi doesn't say anything but instead presses her lips to Tooru's hoping to show her just how much she loves her. She could drown in everything that is Tooru and before either of them realises it the last of their clothes have come off, save Tooru's necklace. The feeling of skin on skin is wonderful and Kobayashi doesn't think she could love Tooru anymore than she does in this moment. As their kisses continue one of Kobayashi's hands slips down Tooru's body, fingers ghosting over her skin, to find her clit and circle it.

Tooru groans into her mouth, moaning and trembling slightly, as her fingers run up Kobayashi's thigh to match the movement on Kobayashi's clit. Kobayashi knows just the way to make Tooru come undone and before long she finds her orgasm building.

"Miss Kobayashi, I'm so close," she gasps.

"I am too," Kobayashi says, equally as breathless. "Come with me."

It doesn't take much more before both Tooru and Kobayashi come, pleasure washing over them both as they press their lips together in a breathtaking kiss. Kobayashi feels as if her heart is ready to burst with all the love she feels for Tooru. Slowing the movement of her hand as they come down from their high she presses one more kiss to Tooru's lips.

"I love you," she says softly, "more than anything in the world."

"I love you too Miss Kobayashi," Tooru tells her. "You're my everything."

Lying down beside her Kobayashi pulls Tooru close and presses more soft kisses to her temple. "You're so wonderful."

"So are you," Tooru says, snuggling up to her. "Thank you so much for my necklace. I'm never taking it off."

Chuckling Kobayashi squeezes her tightly. "I wouldn't have it any other way."
