Naruto cursed his carelessness. He should have known that Hunter-nin would follow his tracks even into the Land of Lighting. Now, thanks to his own irresponsibility he had to run away once more, a squad of ANBU on hot on his heels.
The blond knew that fighting them in the forest where they could use their superior numbers and the environment was a bad idea, so he runs searching for any open-spaced area. He blond cursed and jumped down from the branch he was standing on to avoid a hail of Kunai. The blond sped through hand seals and turned to face his pursuers.
"Futon: Great Breakthrough!" A large gust of wind blasted towards the four ANBU, forcing them to dodge the attack or risk getting nasty cuts. As soon as his Jutsu cast, the blond started to run away and it did not take long before the blond saw a large clearing.
Naruto jumped out of the forest, but as soon as he entered the clearing, he noticed someone else did as well. The blond looked in shock as from the opposite side forest jumped out two girls.
He saw them land in the middle of the clearing, just about a small distance away from him. The two seemed to notice him as well and one of them, a blond girl with green eyes stepped in front of the other girl.
"And who the heck are you? Are you one of them, you bastard?" She shouted with an accusatory tone, her eyes narrowing on her fellow blond. Before Naruto could even answer or process what she meant the four Konoha ANBU dropped behind him. "Oh! And he brought even more backup. It seems there is no running this time, Mikasa!" The blond girl shouted with a massive grin, showing her sharp and long canines.
"Wha-?" The blond was about to ask when a squad of four Hunter-nin from a different Village dropped behind the two girls. A silence followed on the clearing, all four factions looking at the others, trying to see who would act first.
"Konoha's ANBU," The Hunter-nin's behind the two girls stated.
"Kumo's ANBU," Stated the Konoha's leader. A short silence followed, cut short by the blond girl.
"Eh? So this blond bastard and those four are not our problems?" She asked her companion. the second girl had neck-long raven black hair and grey eyes. Naruto's right eye twitched at being insulted this openly.
"Oi! Who are you calling a bastard?" Naruto shouted pointing an angry finger at the girl.
"I am calling you a bastard, you moron!"
"You little-!" Naruto was cut off as two of the Konoha ANBU shot forwards him, one with Kunai the other one with a tanto. At the same time, all four of Kumo ANBU dashed towards the two girls.
Naruto dodged under a swing from the tanto and unsheathed his own sword blocking a Kunai from his left. The blond spun and slashed his sword in a large arc, lashing out at a third ANBU, forcing them to jump back. he grunted when the first ANBU's tanto grazed his arm, leaving a shallow cut.
Naruto jumped into the air, executing a flip over some Suiton Jutsu. While In the air, he sheathed his sword and formed a set of hand seals. "Futon: vacuum bullet," three small pockets of wind missiles flew at the first ANBU, forcing him to jump away.
When he landed, the blond glanced to the other side of the clearing and frowned. The two girls were fighting an ANBU each and while they weren't dead yet, the blond knew that was just a matter of time before they were overwhelmed.
With a heavy sigh, the blond took a specific stance, putting the four ANBU on edge. "Watch out! He is about to get serious!" Ordered one of the ANBU. Naruto scanned the clearing. Two ANBU in front of him, one with Tanto, one with a pair of Kunai. One was on his left, holding a single Kunai, but ready to rush through hand seals. the last ANBU was farthest from him, no weapons on him, medical-Ninjutsu support.
"If only you didn't chase me," the blond muttered and watched as the ANBU with tanto rushed him, followed closely by the one with Kunai. Once the first one was close enough, Naruto unsheathed his Katana. A bright flash of light followed by a scream of the first ANBU, his left hand, right hand, and right leg missing.
"Captain!" The ANBU with two Kunai shouted as he stood came to a stop. The blond didn't waste a second, he appeared mid-air in front of the ANBU, his Katana above his head. He brought his sword down and another flash of light followed.
the ANBU fell silently to the ground, his body cut into three parts. Naruto sighed and turned to the last two Konoha ANBU, one of them rushed through hand seals. "YOU BASTARD! RAITON: ELECTROMAGNETIC MURDER!" The ANBU slammed his hands on the ground and lighting a shout towards Naruto, exploding upon contact, creating a smokescreen.
"MORE! Suiton: Water Dragon Jutsu!" The monstrous entity of Chakra slammed where the blond stood, deepening the smoke. "Katon: Great Fireball!" The ANBU breathed hard as he and the last member waited for the smoke to vanish. Once I did, they both smiled under their masks, nothing, but a large crater left where Naruto was standing.
"I did it, I avenged yo-"
"Impressive, three chakra releases. Shame," A voice whispered behind the ANBU. He turned around and his eyes widened when the blond stood behind him without a single scratch.
"How-? Ugh!" Bloodshot from under his mask when Naruto's sword pierced his lung. the blond kicked him away and turned to the last member who was standing rooted in the same place as before.
"Forgive me, but I can't leave any witnesses, Konoha cannot know about my location,"
"Wha-?" The ANBU's headshot backward when a Kunai found its way right in their forehead. the mask slip in two and the lifeless eyes of a young woman looked at the blond. Naruto closed his eyes for a second before turning where the blond girl was panting heavily, leaving on a large sword. The other girl, Mikasa, if he remembered correctly was sitting in front of the two deceased Kumo ANBU, clutching her injured arm.
The blond looked back at the four Konoha ANBU and sheathed his sword. His eyes lingered on their corpses as they slowly became devoured by fire. It was a standard procedure for the ANBU, if they were to die, the seals on their shoulder would burn their bodies to avoid anyone finding out any sensitive information from their corpses.
Naruto walked over to Mikasa and unsealed his backpack. She looked at him with a critical gaze, gauging how much of a threat he was and after seeing him take out bandages, she relaxed a bit.
"Oi! Get away from her!" The other girl shouted, lifting her large sword and pointing it at him. Naruto looked at her with a raised eyebrow, surprised she would be willing to attack him. He knew just from looking at her that she had no fuel left and this was a mere attempt of intimidation.
"I was just going to give her bandages, no need to be so hostile," Naruto answered with a smile, showing said bandage to the green-eyes girl. Still, she did not relax, instead, her posture got even tenser.
"Like hell! We don't need your help, you-,"
"Mordred, please stop this. You should know we can't afford to make more enemies," Mikasa cut in, instantly shutting the now-named Mordred up. The blond girl frown before relaxing her stance, the large sword disappearing into thin air.
Naruto started tending Mikasa's wounds, not minding Mordred looking over his shoulder with narrowed eyes. It took some time, bandaging all of the serious cuts, but soon it was over and the blond stood up and dusted his knees.
"Well, non with this out of the way, let me introduce myself. I am Uzumaki Naruto, an A-Ranked missing Ninja from Konoha, at your service," The blond stated and gave a small flourished bow, an amused grin dancing on his lips.
Mikasa followed the blond's example and gave a small bow. "I am Mikasa of the Lunari, nice to meet you," She gave Mordred a look, causing her companion to click her tongue and look away.
"Mordred of the Lunari," Was all she said, her fellow blond smirked at her acting and looked at the sunset.
"It's getting dark and as there are no Villages nearby, I will be staying here for the night and I wouldn't mind some company. Are you willing to join me and talk over some food?" Naruto asked and looked at the two.
Mordred looked like she wanted to discard the idea and instantly move to, but before she could voice her thoughts, her stomach spoke for her. "Oh, someone's here hungry?" Naruto teased with a small grin, making Mordred narrow her eyes at him. Normally it would be intimidating but with the embarrassed blush on her cheeks, she looked cute more than anything. "Let us not wait, right, Mikasa?"
"Yes, let's get the fire started,"
Naruto grinned, finally he found some companions if all went well maybe even allies, but that remained to be seen.
