Summary: The Rugrats gang makes a medieval castle out of shoe and large cardboard boxes and put on a fantasy play in Tommy and Dil's backyard.
It was a bright clear day in Yucaipa, California as the Rugrats, Angelica, Susie, and Zoey were hanging out at the Pickles residence.
"What are we gonna do today you guys" asked Jesse.
The kids all thought for a moment before Kimi spoke up.
"Hey I know why don't we play diapies and dragons" suggested Kimi.
"What's that" asked Susie.
Kimi then told everyone of how She, Tommy, Chuckie, and Dil went to an arcade and had to save Taffy from the dragon during their visit.
"And we could put on a play on a brave night rescuing the king and queen's daughter" added Kimi.
"Sounds cool" replied Zoey.
"I thinks I'd prefer to be one of the normal peoples when we play" said Chuckie.
"Relax Chuckie it will be fun" replied Tommy.
"This activity holds plenty of promise" said Zack.
"It will be just like the times Me, Lil, Chuckie and Tommy went to fairy tale land" said Phil.
"Yeah, we haven't had an adventure like that in forever" added Lil.
"And we could have a bad troll in the play guarding the castle where the princess is" suggested Dil.
"I can't wait to see who gets to be the princess" said Savannah.
"I'm sure we'll see which character roles we'd be chosen for" replied Susie.
"I think we would need to build a castle out of something if were to do this" said Angelica.
"What can we use" asked Jesse.
Just then Stu and Didi walked by with empty shoe boxes and large cardboard boxes they were taking to the garage.
"Hey Aunt Didi, Uncle Stu" said Angelica.
"Yes" replied Stu and Didi in unison.
"Can me and my friends use those empty boxes, we want to make a castle" asked Angelica.
"Sure thing" replied Stu.
"Of course" added Didi.
"Thanks" said Angelica.
"And there's some more empty boxes that you kids are welcome to use" said Stu.
"Yay" cheered all the kids in unison.
Soon all the kids were hard at work in the backyard hard at work with scissors, glue, and crayons making their cardboard castle and choosing characters and a narrator.
"The castle is coming along nicely" said Tommy.
"Yeah" replied Phil and Lil in unison.
"We'll be putting on the finishing touches in no time" replied Zack.
"Uh-huh, this is gonna be fun" said Kimi.
"The tallest tower for the princess is nearly finished" said Jesse as he glued it to the rest of the creation.
"I can hardly wait until we are finished" said Dil as he colored the castle walls.
"Me too" replied Savannah as she cut little flags and put them around the cardboard castle.
"I just hope whoever is going to play the brave knight isn't as ascared as me" said Chuckie.
"Don't worry Chuckie, we don't know who is gonna play who yet" replied Zoey.
"No matter how bad things get they always turn out good in the end" added Susie.
"I definitely see that now that I've been going straight since that awful cruise" replied Angelica.
And in a little while their cardboard castle was complete and they had to let the glue dry.
"While were waiting for the glue to dry I thinks we should decide who's gonna be who with the play and who will tell the story to our audience of toys" said Kimi.
The kids thought for a moment.
"Phil and Lil I thinks you two can be the King and Queen" said Kimi.
"Yay" cheered the twins in unison.
"Angelica can you tell the tale" asked Kimi.
"Sure I can, I won't let everyone down" said Angelica.
"Dil, I thinks you can be the brave knight who rescues the princess" said Kimi.
"Cool" replied Dil.
"Savannah I thinks you can be the prettyful princess" said Kimi.
"Wow neat" exclaimed Savannah.
"Jesse I think you can be the builder of the land in our tale" said Kimi.
"Great" said Jesse.
"Tommy I thinks you can be the feets soldier for the King and Queen" said Kimi.
"Neat" replied Tommy.
"Chuckie I thinks you can be the message boy for the land" said Kimi.
"Whew, at least that's safe" replied Chuckie.
"Zoey I thinks you can be the fairy that grants the brave knight a little something extra for his adventure" said Kimi.
"Okay" replied Zoey.
"Zack I thinks you can be the guy who does the readings at a church" said Kimi.
"I think that's called a priest and sure I'll be glad too" replied Zack.
"Susie you and I can be the town maids" said Kimi.
"Okay" replied Susie.
"Now that all the roles have been chosen we just have to make drawings of the peoples we'll be playing up front with toy peoples watching us" said Kimi.
"Yeah" replied the others in unison.
"And Angelica since we'll be needing a villain for the play could we imagine your evil cousin Anthony as the troll who guards the castle with his dragon" asked Kimi.
"That's fine by me" said Angelica.
The others nodded in agreement that he'd be the perfect troll for the play and that they were grateful that Anthony Collins himself isn't actually there to see their play. After an hour or so of drawing the characters and taping their masterpieces on sticks the Rugrats, Angelica, Susie, and Zoey were ready for the fun to start as Angelica addressed the crowd of toys.
"Ahem ladies and gentlebears welcome to our play called diapies and dragons" announced Angelica as she began to narrate the tale.
Once a upon a time in a far far away land there was a cute young baby princess named Savannah where she had been kid-lapped by an evil troll named Anthony who locked the young princess away in a tower where the troll along with his dragon guarded the castle.
"Oh I wish I was back at the kingdom with my friends and King Philip and Queen Lillian" said Princess Savannah in between tears.
"Ah quit your sobbing you got a room with a view don't ya" snapped Anthony the Troll.
The scene then shows the castle that overlooked a serene and beautiful valley and a suburbia kingdom, very similar to the Rugrats episode Faire Play and in front of a house that Jesse the builder was fixing a roof for his friend Knighty Knight Dil.
"How's the roof fixing coming along" asked Knighty Knight Dil.
"So far so good" replied Jesse the builder as he continued with his work.
As this was going on Chuckie the message boy approached Knighty Knight Dil with a letter.
"Hi Knighty Knight Dil" said Chuckie the message boy.
"Hey Chuckie what's up" asked Knighty Knight Dil.
"I gots a letter for you it's from King Philip and Queen Lillian" replied Chuckie the message boy.
Knighty Knight Dil opened the letter.
"Dear Knighty Knight Dil
King Philip and Queen Lillian need your help to rescue their young baby Princess Savannah. Please come to our castle as quick as you can.
King Philip and Queen Lillian".
Knighty Knight Dil then called for Spike his faithful hound.
"Hey Spike" called Knighty Knight Dil.
Spike the faithful hound heard his name being called and came to Knighty Knight Dil.
"Spike we gots to head for King Philip and Queen Lillian's castle rights away" said Knighty Knight Dil.
Spike the faithful hound understood what Knighty Knight Dil said and raced off along the path towards the castle. And in no time they were greeted by Tommy the feets soldier.
"Halt who goes there" asked Tommy the foot soldier.
Knighty Knight Dil then showed Tommy the feets soldier the letter he got from King Philip and Queen Lillian.
"Entry is granted" replied Tommy the foot soldier.
Knighty Knight Dil entered the castle where King Philip and Queen Lillian were waiting.
"Ah Knighty Knight Dil I assume" said King Philip.
"We're so glad you've come" added Queen Lillian.
"I got your letter and saw that you need my help to rescue your baby Princess Savannah" said Knighty Knight Dil.
"Yes indeed" replied King Philip.
"Our baby Princess Savannah was kid-lapped by an evil troll named Anthony and he tooked her to his castle further up the valley and is having our baby guarded by a fire breathing dragon. " said Queen Lillian.
"Worries no more Queen Lillian, I Knighty Knight Dil will take on this adventure to rescue your baby princess" said Kinghty Knight Dil.
"That would be wonderful" replied Queen Lillian.
"And if you do greats we'll have a victory celebration and invite everyone to come" added King Philip.
Knighty Knight Dil knew this would be a dangerous adventure, but he felt he was the bravliest Knight there ever was in the land and he also knew how much it would mean to the King and Queen to have their baby princess back.
"I'll do it" said Knight Knight Dil with a positive and optimistic attitude.
Word of Knighty Knight Dil's acceptance of this rescue mission was soon spread throughout the kingdom from Chuckie the message boy as the peoples of the kingdom gathered in the townsquare to see Knighty Knight Dil off on the mission.
"We wish you good fortune ahead of you Knighty Knight Dil" said Zack the Priest.
"Yeah good lucks Knighty Knight Dil and be careful" said Chuckie the message boy.
"We knows you can do it" said Tommy the foot soldier.
"Uh-huh, were all behind you" said Kimi the town maid.
"You're gonna do great" said Jesse the builder.
"Good luck Knighty Knight Dil" said King Philip and Queen Lillian in unison.
"Make us proud Knighty Knight Dil" said Susie the town maid.
"Thanks everyone" said Knighty Knight Dil as he hopped on Spike his faithful hound and set off for the evil troll's castle.
Meanwhile, at the trolls evil castle Princess Savannah looked out her window as she thought of her friends back at the kingdom.
"I really hopes someone out there is brave and fearless to rescue and reunite me with King Philip and Queen Lillian and my friends" said Princess Savannah.
"Nah, you're never leaving princess cry baby" said Anthony the evil troll.
"GREEN DRAGON" bellowed Anthony the evil troll.
The Green Dragon who was as big as a house appeared from out of the sky and landed in front of the evil troll's castle.
"Green Dragon I'm headed for the lake to take a dip, make sure no one gets past while I'm gone understand" said Anthony the evil troll.
The Green Dragon nodded yes.
"If you do a good job I'll get you plenty of hot spicy food" said Anthony the evil troll as he walked away.
The Green Dragon then went on guard duty of the evil troll's castle.
"We're halfway to the evil troll's castle Spike" said Knighty Knight Dil.
Suddenly a bright beam of light appeared from the sky as a heavenly figure landed in front of Spike the faithful hound and Knighty Knight Dil.
"Um hello, my name is Knighty Knight Dil and this is my faithful hound Spike" said Knighty Knight Dil.
"I'm glad to know you my name is Zoey the Fairy Godmother" she replied. "I was sent to give you something extra to help you succeed with your rescue mission" she added.
"How did you know" asked Knighty Knight Dil.
"That's easy we fairies always watch what's happening from above and knowing that rescuing a Princess can be a dangerous job I was assigned to assist you" replied Zoey the Fairy Godmother.
"Sounds cool, but what can you give me that will help with this mission" asked Knighty Knight Dil.
Zoey the Fairy Bobfather waved her magic wand and poofed up a big baby bottle that contained a special formula for battling the dragon.
"This is one big bottle, but how will this help" asked Knighty Knight Dil.
"That's easy you likely know the evil troll has The Green Dragon guarding the castle right" asked Zoey the Fairy Godmother.
Knigty Knight Dil nodded yes.
"When The Green Dragon breathes fire and if you have perfect aim squeeze that bottle of special formula into his mouth it will put the fire out of him for good" explained Zoey the Fairy Godmother.
Knighty Knight Dil nodded yes and put the bottle in his diapie for safe keeping.
"I have to go now, good luck my friends" said Zoey the Fairy Godmother as she ascended into the sky.
Knighty Knight Dil and Spike the faithful hound bidded Zoey the Fairy Bobfather good bye for now as they continued towards the evil troll's castle. Soon Knighty Knight Dil and Spike the faithful hound were right at the evil troll's doorstep of the castle and were greeted by The Green Dragon breathing fire into the air.
"Now for that bottle with the special formula" said Knighty Knight Dil as he prepared to take aim at The Green Dragon's mouth.
The Green Dragon took a big breath and breathed fire towards our hero as Knighty Knight Dil squeezed the bottle with the special formula real hard and squirted a powerful blast into The Green Dragon's mouth and put out the fire for good.
"That took the fire out of you Green Dragon" said Knighty Knight Dil.
The Green Dragon coughed and smiled happily at Knighty Knight Dil.
"Awww, your a friendly dragon aren't you" asked Knighty Knight Dil.
The Green Dragon nodded yes.
"Friendly enough to perhaps release Princess Savannah" asked Knighty Knght Dil.
The Green Dragon nodded yes.
"You don't like Anthony the evil troll huh" asked Knighty Knight Dil.
The Green Dragon gently shook his head no.
"We don't and neither do our friends" said Knighty Knight Dil. "Tell you what if you and my friend Spike the faithful hound can cover me from out here when I go in to set Princess Savannah free and pull this rescue mission off okay, I'll try my best to convince the peoples of the kingdom into accepting you in" offered Knighty Knight Dil.
The Green Dragon smiled and nodded yes.
"Okay, into the castle I go" declared Knighty Knight Dil.
Knighty Knight Dil made his way to the highest room of the tallest tower and soon found the room where Princess Savannah was lying in bed sobbing softly.
"Hello there my name is Knighty Knight Dil and I've come to get you out of here" said Knighty Knight Dil.
"Yay" exclaimed Princess Savannah. "But Knighty Knight Dil what about the evil troll's Green Dragon" asked Princess Savannah.
"We won't have to worry, The Green Dragon has had a change of heart when I hosed him with a bottle of special formula Zoey the Fairy Bobfather gave me" replied Knighty Knight Dil.
Knighty Knight Dil showed Princess Savannah the bottle that was half full of the special formula he used to put out the Green Dragon's fire breath.
"Wow that's wonderful" said Princess Savannah.
"C'mon, The Green Dragon and Spike the faithful hound are outside waiting for us" said Knighty Knight Dil.
"I'm with you, it's very lonely here with just the evil troll for unpleasant company" replied Princess Savannah as she and Knighty Knight Dil headed downstairs.
Meanwhile, Anthony the evil troll was on his way back to his castle from the lake.
"He-he-he-he I wonder how The Green Dragon is making out with possible interlopers" said Anthony the evil troll.
Soon Knighty Knight Dil and Princess Savannah were outside the the evil troll's castle with The Green Dragon and Spike the faithful hound when Anthony the evil troll spotted them all.
"What is this" snapped Anthony the evil troll. "My Green Dragon fraternizing with the enemy" Anthony snapped angrily. "You will pay dearly for betraying me" barked Anthony the evil troll as he charged towards everyone.
Knighty Knight Dil quickly got out the bottle of special formula from his diapie and squeezed hard as a powerful blast of what was left of the special formula and left Anthony the evil troll soaking wet.
"Why you little snot in diapers I'll get you for this" barked Anthony the evil troll as he charged again.
Then the Green Dragon intervened and wacked Anthony the evil troll real hard with his tail and sent him flying clear over the valley.
"Noooooooooooo" screamed Anthony the evil troll as he disappeared off into the distance.
"Yay" cheered Knighty Knight Dil and Princess Savannah in unison.
"We did it we vanquished the evil troll" exclaimed Princess Savannah.
"Yep but I couldn't have done it without Spike the faithful hound and The Green Dragon going good" replied Knighty Knight Dil.
Everyone nodded in agreement as they all made their way towards the kingdom were the townspeoples were waiting.
"Ahhhhh, The Green Dragon" exclaimed the townspeople in unison.
"Everyone relax, The Green Dragon here helped us escape from Anthony the evil troll after I squirted him with a bottle of special formula Zoey the Fairy Bobfather gave me" explained Knighty Knight Dil.
The Green Dragon nodded yes, then Zoey the Bobfather appeared when she saw that Knighty Knight Dil completed his rescue mission.
"Oooooh" went the local people in unison as Zoey the Godmother approached Knighty Knight Dil.
"Congratulations Knighty Knight Dil" said Zoey the Fairy Godmother. "I knew that bottle of special formula would come in handy on your adventure" she said.
"Thank you very much Zoey the Fairy Bobfather" replied Knighty Knight Dil. "I wouldn't have been able to complete the mission without it" he added.
"You're welcome" replied Zoey the Fairy Godmother.
Word of the heroic rescue soon spread throughout the kingdom and King Philip and Queen Lillian along with Tommy the foot soldier appeared at townsquare.
"Knighty Knight Dil" announced Tommy the foot soldier. " For your brave effort's in rescuing Princess Savannah King Philip and Queen Lillian are hosting a big party at the castle in celebration of your victory" he said.
"That's great" exclaimed Knighty Knight Dil. "Can Zoey the Fairy Bobfather, Spike the faithful hound and the Green Dragon come too" he asked.
"Yes" replied King Philip, Queen Lillian, and Tommy the foot soldier in unison.
"Anybody that lended you a hand in reuniting Princess Savannah with the King and Queen deserves to come" said Tommy the foot soldier.
Everybody cheered and soon the victory party began at King Philip's and Queen Lillian's castle.
"Knighty Knight Dil" said Princess Savannah. "Thanks again for rescuing me fro the evil troll" she said.
"Good job" said King Philip and Queen Lillian in unison.
"You was very brave" said Tommy the foot soldier.
"You did great" said Chuckie the message boy.
"You're one bold Knight" said Jesse the builder.
"Oh yeah" said Susie and Kimi the town maids.
"I never doubt it for a minute" said Zack the Priest.
"This is what I call a Knight to remember" said Zoey the Fairy Godmother.
"Gee thanks you guys" replied Knighty Knight Dil.
Knighty Knight Dil and Princess Savannah embraced one another as the victory party went on and everybody lived happily ever after. Angelica finished the story smiling proudly and the Rugrats, Susie, and Zoey cheered as their play concluded.
"You did a very good job telling the tale of our play Angelica" said Kimi.
"Oh yeah" replied Dil and Savannah in unison.
"Yeah specially when your evil cousin gotted wacked and sent flying" said Phil.
"And when he had that special formula squirted all over him and was real messy" added Lil.
"Thanks for making my bestest brother the hero of the whole kingdom" said Tommy.
"I gotta admit Angelica can tell a good tale after all" Zack thought to himself.
"I'm so glad I wasn't the one who had to fight a dragon and face your evil cousin" said Chuckie.
"I'm always glad to help a friend in need, even in a fairy tale" said Zoey.
"Your evil cousin got what he deserved, even in a fairy tale" said Jesse.
"Yes indeed" replied Susie.
"Thanks you guys" said Angelica.
Then all the kids shared a group hug just as Didi came out to the backyard.
"Kids snack time there's plenty of chocolate chip cookies for everyone" said Didi.
"Last one in is a crumbled cookie" said Angelica and Zoey in unison as they ran towards the house.
Susie and the Rugrats ran towards the house after them for snack time.
