Inside the Tavern
"Alright guys! Our comrade here is feeling a little bit blue, so lets cheer him up with some booooze!" said a slight drunk meliodas
"Uh… Captain I think you had enough to drink tonight" said a concern king
While Elizabeth tries to calm and control her husband from making a fool out of himself. Ban stand by the window with a beer in his band trying to collect his thoughts. Merlin notices her friend is feeling distress and tries goes into ban's mind to see if she can figure out the problem, thus ban encountered her spell and gave her a sneer look of 'piss off' and drinks his beer with little pride he has. Merlin didn't want to quit on her friend because she knew the problem with ban that he cannot…. Well, make a choice between two women.
She continues to observe her friend as he grief to despair. Ban collects his thoughts and remembers everything from his relationship with Elaine to having a sneaky affair with Jericho. He loved and hated at the same time. He never thought he would be in this type of situation. He rocks himself back and forth trying not to scream, every thought and memory bug the living shit out of ban.
He couldn't take it. He was sweating filled with fear, greed, lust and just lost in his thought. He gulped his last beer and violently left the table and tavern to go outside to think clearly with his thoughts without distraction.
Everyone was shocked how Ban left the tavern like that. However, meliodas was long gone and gowther to be exact and he's never drunk….really.
Merlin got really annoyed with Ban's rude behavior to his comrades and had no choice to go after him yet esconor checked in on merlin to she if she's okay and why go after ban. She details to him that she's fine and she needed to do this. He lets her and she goes after her friend.
Ban thought about women once more and thinking about the lusting things he had done to them. Making love to Elaine but doing rough passion sex with Jericho made him want to do more with her. See! THAT IS HIS PROBLEM he cannot choose who he wants because he loves him both. Then he argues with himself that he needed to get his shit together or he was gonna lose it. However, he felt the presence of you guys right, Merlin. At first he tries telling her to 'piss off' yet she will not take no for a answer and decided that she can speak as she wishes thus she did,
"Ban. Listen. I… I thought that you are grieving and feeling lost at the moment but being dull and sulky isn't going to fix anything. Look I know you love these women with your heart, But ban it seems that you cannot make up your mind on who and I respect these women as much as you do, but here's a better question to you. Who do you see yourself with for the rest of your life? Who do see growing with and starting a family with? Have you….ever thought of that." She said as Ban stood silent until,
*Ban chuckles* "Hmmm thanks merlin. *she gasped* for checking up on me and letting me think about the question you said. To be honest, I thought I was going to make a decision today knowing who I want to be with which I never thought I say it but I honestly don't fucking know" he said with fright
"How do you not know? You can't keep both you have to let one of them go" she said until he rose up and confronts her
"WELL WHY SHOULD I" He said as Merlin tries to tell him to calm down but he ignores her request and then he continues
"NO NO YOU LISTEN! IT WAS NEVER EASY FOR ME! HAVING BOTH OF THEM IN MY LIFE WAS A MISTAKE. I DIDN'T WANT TO MEET JERICHO AT ALL BECAUSE ELIANE IS MY ONE AND ONLY AND JUST CAN'T LET THEM GO! JERICHO… I LOVE HER AND ELIANE IT'S FUCKING HARD OKAY! THE SAME HAPPENED TO YOU, ESCONOR AND ARTHER HUH?! WHO DID YOU END UP WITH…. ESCONOR BECAUSE ARTHER GAVE UP HIS LIFE FOR US ALL!"
"LEAVE HIS NAME OUT OF YOUR FUCKIN MOUTH" she strikes back
"WELL FUCKIN LEAVE MY WOMEN OUT OF YOUR MOUTH…. *he stops, collects and comes back* Look merlin I'm sorry but this isn't easy anymore. It's….just….I…care about. Them." He sobs for the first time in his life and merlin is seeing this with her own eyes because he trusted her now to see the other side of him. While captain was drunk, she went to go comfort him. She told him everything he needed to do, take some time to gather his thoughts and really find his place where he can approach these women and tell them that they are the one.
Once that was done merlin went back inside to check on the others as Ban watched his friends return to see and then turns back to look at the sky because the next day will be the day he tells the woman of his dreams the truth.
Next Day in the Fairy Realm
*Ban's POV*
I had to see her first. I had to let her know how I feel let her know how wrong been feeling and that she deserves the truth. I rose to see the sunlight in the magical tree all the way down to the fountain of youth once more. Man, the memories I had with that foundation. I turn around and I see a beautiful fairy approaching me with open arms as I gulp away to where I need to keep myself together and focus on the mission at hand. I hugged her back as she hugged me with hope and love in her eyes then lets go and takes a good look at me. Elaine knew me pretty well where if something troubled me, she would find the good amount of words to ask of me. I show her bouquet of flowers and accepts them to hold and smell and perhaps elaine smelled like a rain of sunshine and tulips, but she only like the white ones which I knew that. I smiled at her for a moment and then my smile began to faded as I started to see the only problem with the situation that…. I am….meant for…Jericho. How can I look her in the eye and tell her?! What to do….that is until…..
"Ban?! Are you… okay?" she softly asked as I took a breathe in and out and came out of it
"Fuck Elaine *chuckled* I don't know how to say this but…." I hesitated
"but what?!" she said with annoyance
I knew now from this moment on I had to tell her that…..
