In the upcoming chapter, I'm going to be writing more fights scene. Which is something I am struggling with writing. So if any of you have any tips on how to write a good fight scene, please let me know.

During Rayla's childhood, she dreamed of becoming a dragonguard like her parents. Initially, she wanted to be like her parents, but now she wanted to prove that she was better than them.

"You should take Zym away to a safe place," Rayla told the group. "I'll hold off, Viren."

"If you're staying, I'll stay with you," Callum offered up, standing next to Rayla.

Trying to push Cal away, Rayla said, "I don't think you can stay, either.". But, unfortunately, Viren wasn't only interested in Zym. Rayla's role was to protect Callum and get him back home since they started this journey together.

In response, Callum informed Rayla: "You are being foolish. I can help you."

Almost shouting at Rayla, Callum said, "Stop failing to get over your pride.".

"I have to deal with this by myself," Rayla shouted at Callum before storming off.

Ezran, who had been watching his brother and his friend fight,
"Should we go after her"

"We should give it some time," Callum advised his brother before he took off. Leaving Ezran and Zym alone.

After giving Rayla some time to cool off, Callum started following around the storm spire with Ibis.

"May I ask you a question?" Callum asked, following the skywing elf up the stairs.

Ibis answered, "Sure thing, I'll answer your questions." The Human boy who was able to perform magic had been all over the news. As someone so rare as Callum, Ibis had to learn everything he could about him.

"During our journey here, we encountered a Skywing elf who had a wing, but I noticed you do not," Callum asked. "Is that something rude to ask.".

"No, it is not rude to ask," Ibis replied. "A very few skywing elves are born with wings, but other rare few of us can do the same."

Ibis held his arms out and cast "Manus. Pluma Volantus"

As he watched in astonishment, Callum watched Ibis arms slowly turn into feathered wings.

"Teach me how to do that," Callum begged.

Callum when he was young after being taken to live in the tower for the first time. As a child, he dreamed of flying. It was always a dream of Callum's to have wings. He could go wherever he wanted, and no one could stop him.

"Let me see what I can do," Ibis responded.

"Manus. Pluma. Volantus." shouted Callum, waiting for wings to appear on his back. Only to be disappointed when it doesn't work.

Having watched Ibis for a long time, he now has the knowledge he needs to take flight. The spell to activate the wings required Callum to draw upon his arms from the runes.

Rayla smiled and replied, "That was a good attempt.". She had been watching Callum practice from a distance and decided to make herself known.

"Rayla, how are you doing," Callum asked Rayla as he came over to see how she was doing.

Trying not to cry, Rayla confessed, "This is where my parents abandoned their duty as Dragonguards.".

"I don't think you could ever leave like that, Callum reassured the Moonshadow elf hugging Rayla. It was then that he came up with an idea.

A young mage wonders, "What if we knew what happens that day," he replies.

Confused by what Callum was talking about, "What do you mean" Rayla Probed.

"Back at the moon nexus, Lujanne taught me a spell that allowed us to see into the past," Callum explained.

"Alright, I'm starting to understand what you're saying," Rayla said, getting a bit excited at what Callum said.

"I can cast the spell to see what really went down here with your parents," Callum Proposed.

Rayla smiled in agreement with his plan. "Let's do it."

Standing in the storm spire's center room. Rayla and Callum were preparing themselves for what happened that day.

"Are you ready?" Callum asked. Regardless of what Rayla did, he wanted to be by her side.

Rayla replied, "Let's do this.". Even though it might be painful, she needs to know the truth.

"Historia Viventem" Callum casted. The two watched the scene as it unfolded.

It was many years ago. Moonshadow Elves Tiadrin and Lain should guard a dragon egg hearing the composition of their king from outside. Another dragonguard, this one a skywing elf, came running in.

Hendry cried out, "The king is dead."

"We need to run now."

"The prince must remain safe if the king is dead," Lain replied.

"The Dark Mage took down the king of the dragon-like he was nothing," shouted Hendry. "If we don't leave now, we'll all die."

"Then please take the egg with you," Tiardrin instructed her fellow dragongaurd.
Hendry could have laughed in other moments, but he was too scared now.

"Are you kidding me? I'm not putting a target on my back. Are you coming now?"

Holding his ground, Lain Annocue said, "We swore an oath.".

"Fine, suit yourself," Hendry replied before taking off.

Viren finally appeared, attacking Rayla's parents. The final two Dragonguards tried their best to fend off the dark mage. Only to be frozen by a spell.

"Today, you will witness history," Viren said, just about to destroy the unhatched Zym.

"Wait, you don't want to do this," Tiadrin begged.

As he thought of entertaining himself by talking to the elves he was going to kill soon, Viren said, "why not?".

"You must know how powerful a dragon egg is," Tiardin told him.

"What are you doing?" Lain asked his wife just before he realized what was going on.

"Now, what does this all have to do with me," Viren asked in boredom.

Tiadrin, begging, said, "Please take that egg with you. Use its powers."

The dark mage gave off an unnerving smile, and then the memory faded.

Rayla paused for a moment to catch her breath and to steady herself.

"Are you feeling okay?" Callum asked, preparing for whatever Rayla might be feeling.

"They didn't leave," Rayla Cheered. Tiadrin and Lain's fate remained unknown, but she had begun to feel good about them When thinking of her parents.

Together, they celebrated until Ezran interrupted them and dragged them away. They left the storm spire once they came out of it. They were stunned to see Pyrrah carrying Soren, who was running out of breath.

"Ventus Spiralis" Callum cast the spell he learned from Pyrrah to allow Soren to breathe.

The Royal guard took a deep breath. Then, in preparation for her flight, Ezran gazed over at the Dragon.

"Thank you," Ezran replied before Pyrrah depart.

Now that he had air in his lungs, Soren gave his warning. "Something bad is about to happen."
