At an aquarium in Gulfport, Mississippi, a female penguin approached a group of male penguins. She smiled at them and the male penguins relaxed, welcoming her. She leaned against one of them and blinked rapidly to show off her sky blue eyes.

The penguin gave into her and slid over the fish he had been feasting on. Smiling, the female tucked into the meal.

The others shot them a jealous look, and they pushed over their own food to her as well.

She grinned and ate her fill.

Later, the female penguin was relaxing near the water. She looked up when she heard a splash and was surprised to see someone she hasn't seen in such a long time.

He pulled himself out of the water and faced her. "Hello, Marissa," he greeted her coolly.

She eyed him. "Paul," she spoke his name warily. She wondered what he wanted.

As if he read her mind, he told her," I come with terrible news. Our sister, Daisy, has passed away."

Marissa got to her feet. "That's terrible." They stood in silence for a moment, grieving their lost sibling. Then Marissa straightened up and asked," What about our niece? Is she okay?"

Paul nodded. "She left Daisy some time ago, and now she lives at the Central Park Zoo with her father, Skipper."

"Skipper," the female penguin growled, remembering the hot-headed commando penguin that had a relationship with Daisy. It wasn't a long relationship, but they had a kid together before Skipper left to join his team again. Marissa had only met him once, when Alex was a tiny hatchling, but during that time, she found out that he didn't really like her and Paul.

"So I was thinking that we'd go see Alex," explained Paul. "It's been such a long time and she probably doesn't even remember us."

"What about Skipper?" Marissa asked, having a feeling Alex's father might stop them from getting to her. They didn't really end on such a good note. The flat-headed penguin yelled at them and chased them off.

I doubt he'd welcome us if we go there, Marissa thought.

"We'll get Alex alone," Paul told her. "Hopefully Skipper won't even know we're there. Come on, Marissa. It'll be good to see our niece again and I'm sure we'll have fun." He gave her a meaningful look.

Finally she nodded. "Okay," she agreed, and brother and sister left to start their long journey to the Central Park Zoo.
