It's a beautiful day at Midair Stadium where today marks a very special occasion for the arena. It is the 4,000th match and everyone is gearing up for this amazing battle.

Just then, Reginald the Mii Brawler came into the arena with his referee suit and said, "Good afternoon, fight fans! Today is a very special occasion for us here as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate enters a huge milestone. We have reached our... 4,000TH MATCH!"

Just then, the crowd erupted in big cheers as the screen shows the 4,000th battle of this tournament. Then Reginald said, "That's right, folks. For this match, we have two amazing fighters from Street Fighter going head to head in a battle to the finish. Are you ready to meet the combatants for this special match?"

The crowd agreed with him as the spotlight came on the red door.

"All right, then! First up, we have the Eternal Wanderer... RYU!"

Just then, the red doors opened up as Ryu came in to the cheers of the crowd. Then he took a bow as the cheering continued on.

Reginald pointed at the blue door and said, "And his challenger is The Fire-Breathing Fist... KEN MASTERS!"

Ken came in with a huge smile as the blue doors opened up. Then he ran to the arena as the cheering continued on.

When he got there, the arena roared with excitement as he gave a thumbs up to the fans.

Reginald came to the center of the arena and said, "Alright, guys. For this match, there will be no items and to make this battle very special, I'm going to give you four minutes of fighting time. Whoever has the most points when time runs out, wins. If there is a tie, then we will go to Sudden Death. Got it?"

Both fighters agreed as they followed the rules. Then Reginald said, "Okay, then. Fighters, take your positions."

Ryu and Ken looked at each other and with a fist bump, they are ready for battle as the scoreboard came on the screen with the time limit already set for four minutes. Ryu smiled at him and said, "Ready to have some fun on our 4,000th match, buddy?"

"You know it," Ken replied as they took their places.

Reginald looked at them and said, "Fighters, are you ready?"

"Ready," Ryu and Ken replied at the same time.

"All right, then! Audience, would you like to join me in the countdown so we can start the battle?"

The crowd agreed with Reginald as they cheered very loudly.

"Okay! On the count of three, everyone! Here we go!"

With that, Reginald raised his hand up as the crowd joined him for the countdown. It is time to fight.

"Three..."

Ryu took his fighting stance.

"Two..."

Ken smiled at him as he took his stance.

"One..."

Both fighters are tensed up and ready to go as they charged up their Hado. It all comes down to one final word.

Reginald looked at fighters, took one final deep breath and then...

It is time.

"GO!"

"HADOKEN!"

With the word shouted by the audience and Reginald, both fighters unleashed their Hadoken as the battle begins.

Reginald looked at it and said, "And the 4,000th match is officially underway as both fighters used their Hadoken to get this match started. This is going to be an amazing showdown."

And with that, the fight has begun.

Ryu used his Tatsumaki to hit Ken while Ken used his Shoryuken to damage him. Then Ken threw him to the floor as the crowd cheered for him.

Everyone in the arena is enjoying the action as Ryu and Ken kept on going with their special attacks.

Reginald looked at the scoreboard and said, "Wow! Both fighters are doing a great job so far and with only two minutes to go, it is still anyone's game."

Ken did his Focus Attack to stun Ryu before knocking him out with his Shoryuken. The scoreboard now shows 1-0 in favor of Ken.

Ryu came back on stage and used his Shoryuken to send Ken out of the stage, tying the match in the process.

"Wow! We have a tie game with only one minute left," Reginald announced to the crowd, "The score is 1-1 and both fighters are giving their all! Who will win this amazing showdown? We're about to find out!"

Ryu looked at him and said, "Shall we finish this, buddy?"

"Let's do it." Ken replied with a smile as both fighters charged up their Hado for the last time.

"Thirty seconds left!" Reginald announced as the clock winds down to its final 30 seconds.

Both fighters held on to their Hado as they prepare for their signature move. It is time to finish the match.

"HA..." Ryu started.

"DO..." Ken added.

Ryu and Ken looked at each other as their Hado reached full power. Then they aimed at each other, took a deep breath and then...

It is time.

"KEEEEEEEN!"

With the word shouted, the Hadoken has been released as Ryu and Ken fired it at the same time. Reginald looked at it and said, "There it is! The signature Hadoken with only 15 seconds left! Get ready for the final countdown, audience!"

The crowd agreed with Reginald as the final countdown is about to begin. It all comes down to this, the final ten seconds.

"10..."

"9..."

"8..."

"7..."

"6..."

Both fighters brace themselves for impact as the Hadoken moves closer to the opponent. Just five more seconds.

"5..."

"4..."

"3..."

"2..."

"1..."

Ryu and Ken closed their eyes as the Hadoken reached its target. They smiled at each other and then...

BUZZ!

A huge blue explosion covered the arena in smoke just as the final buzzer went off to signify the end of the match.

Reginald saw it all and said, "That was... AWESOME! Both fighters finished the match with a direct hit from the Hadoken just as the final buzzer rang and to make it official, that is... GAME!"

Ryu and Ken looked at each other as they are tired from that final hit and with a smile, they shook hands for a great game.

Reginald came to them and said, "That was an amazing finish, guys."

"Thanks, Reginald," Ryu replied with a smile.

"So, who won?" Ken asked.

"Well, let's find out as we go to the scoreboard for the final results. Ready?"

DING!

The final results are in.

Reginald looked at it and then, he made his announcement.

"Two to two! Both fighters have knocked each other out with the Hadoken just as the buzzer went off. So, that means... WE HAVE A TIE!"

Ryu and Ken smiled as they bumped their fists for a tie game.

"But..."

Ryu and Ken looked at Reginald.

"There can only be one winner. Audience, do you know what happens if the score is tied at the end of the match?"

"SUDDEN DEATH!" The crowd replied with a cheer.

"That's right! Ryu and Ken, take your places once again!"

With that, Ryu and Ken took their places once again as the scoreboard now shows 300% for both fighters. Then Reginald said, "Okay guys, you know how Sudden Death works so you may begin when I say the word. Ready?"

Both fighters agreed as they took their battle stance.

"All right, then! Let's do it! Sudden Death! Ready..."

Everyone held their breath as they await the signal to start. Reginald looked at them, took a deep breath and then...

The moment came.

"GO!"

With the word shouted, both fighters rushed to each other with their Tatsumaki Senpukyaku and then...

KICK!

Someone has been hit. It was over.

Reginald looked at the hit and with a smile, he made his announcement.

"GAME! The winner of this very special 4,000th match by Sudden Death is... RYU!"

With that, Ryu has won the match because he hit Ken to the floor first.

Ken stood up from the hit and said, "Great game, Ryu. You really knocked me out with your Tatsumaki."

"Thanks, buddy," Ryu replied with a smile as they bump fists for a great match, "It really was a special battle to remember. Come on, buddy. Let's go have some lunch at Burger Smash. My treat."

"You got it!"
