I stared unto the moon that shined on the horizon, feeling the cold breeze flowing all across my body. It was only 10:25 PM, yet I can't even sleep. The events I just saw when I kissed the Queen's hand were some of the worst possible scenarios I had ever seen in my entire life, and somehow I learned that I'd be sitting here on the rooftop like it was supposed to when I first saw it. thousands of questions are clouding my mind, and then there's the scene where everyone fucking dying in my eyes, I tried to shake them off yet they're still stuck on my head, I clenched it- "Get out." I said, nothing happened, and then these voices swirl all around me, they screamed "Monster!" "Menace!" "Devil!".
"Shut up... leave me alone!" I begged them, but it seems like they're persistent. I clenched harder, my fingers digging deeper into my head and I can feel the blood coming out from it, "Please, stop." I begged them one last time but they screamed louder and louder.
"Peter?" A feminine voice called.
I turned around to see Ruby, she looked at me with worry in her silvery eyes, we stared at each other for a bit before I turned back to face the concrete underneath me, then Ruby approaches and sits next to me. "What's wrong, Peter? you should be in bed by this hour." She asked. "Nothing, nothing special. sorry if I worried you.." I reassured her, but she wasn't buying it- "Peter, I saw you clenching your head and saying something like 'Get out! get out!' Not to mention your head is bleeding!" Ruby pointed to the areas of my head which are bleeding. "I'm fine Ruby! see here? I'm perfectly fine-" "But you are mentally not." she insisted, "You know, Peter? it has been 2 weeks since you've started acting like that. The Peter I used to know wasn't like that." I tried to speak but I couldn't, she's right, I am not mentally okay, and there's no point in denying that, especially since she's your childhood friend and she knew you since you two were kids, I reminded myself. "I'm sorry," I said, "It's about something which I am sure you aren't gonna be happy about."
then I told her about what I saw when I kissed the Queen's hand, including the Black Order and Thanos, good thing it was only the two of us, because if the others were awake and hearing this shit- nevermind, it's just that I'm glad it's only me and her. "My Gods..." she put her hand on her lips "yeah, pretty much sums up why I've been acting like an old man," I remarked. "I... I don't know what to say Peter... this world's gonna be conquered?! I gotta tell-" She was about to head to the doorway but I grabbed her hand. "NO! don't! we can't just tell them because they won't believe us!" "But-" "PLEASE!" I yelled. "We'll have to settle this our way. they have done enough work and we can't burden them with much bigger shit!" I told her. Ruby was about to open her mouth. "Please. we got to keep this a secret, Ruby. I promise that it will all be over soon, I saw the events after Earth came under the control of the Black Order." "Why and how? Most importantly, What are the events after this world gets conquered?" Ruby asked. "We escape to another universe and we'd end up getting separated, we'll also lose our memories until we reunite later on. and then we'll tell these people we soon meet about the situation of our world as well as the terraforming, and they'd all agree to help us liberate our home.." I explained the future events that will soon unfold. as if I'm spoiling you guys and her. Ruby was silent for a while and I start to grow nervous and then she finally speaks up. "Alright. I believe you, Peter... it's getting late already and you told me so much stuff that not even my brain is fast enough to process all of this.." She scratches the back of her head and I chuckled. "But seriously, it's good you opened up to me... it has been a while since we last have a conversation together, and I've started to miss you.." She blushed while she said it and I turned Red too. "Heh... guess we were busy that we don't even have time for a chit chat, kinda sucked you know?" I replied. "Yeah, it does suck. now can we go back? I'm getting sleepy." she giggled, I nod my head in response and we head back to the dorms.
"c-can I sleep with you tonight?" I asked before Ruby could open the door to her room. of course, she was as red as a tomato- well, both of us are... "S-sure.. c-come in if you w-want.." She stuttered and I stepped into her room, it was nothing special, similar to the room I slept in, except that the bed is slightly larger, big enough for two people. I took off my clothes, leaving me only with my shirt and trunks. I then looked back and saw Ruby changed unto her Sleepwear, a Red Tank and Shorts with Rose Patterns, and dear god.. she looked gorgeous under the moonlight, I blushed at the sight, and she turned away when she saw my reddened face. "S-stop staring at me like that.." "S-sorry!" I looked away in embarrassment, but I can't help but think about how cute and marvelous she is... I looked back at Ruby and she was already in the bed, still blushing, she pats the spot where I'll be sleeping and I instantly dropped, finally some rest I deserved. "Tired?" I opened my eyes and looked unto Ruby, who is also facing me while lying down. "yeah." she giggled. "good, because we have a mission tomorrow, and you need enough rest." she said and suddenly noticed how close we are to each other, luckily she didn't care and just cuddled closer to me. "And I guess you don't want to be alone tonight~," she said as she caressed my cheek, I can't help but smile, because whenever I'm with her, I feel complete, and she's quick to acknowledge it. "hmm? why are you smiling, Spidey?" and I grew redder. "because I feel like I'm the luckiest person." "and why do you feel like you're lucky?" she asked, "because I have you." and now it's her turn to blush. "then that means I'm the luckiest Rose to have a spider spinning around me..." and we laughed lightly and I start to yawn, my eyes grew heavy as my vision starts to blur, I can hear Ruby saying "I love you, Peter... I'm sorry that you had to wait for me for so long..." before I lose consciousness and drift myself to sleep.
