Chapter 1

A green haired boy sat in a room drawing away on his notebook, while surrounded by images, and figurines of All-Might. He suede in his chair back, and forth excitedly, waiting for his gift to be received that was supposed to be on his 7th birthday. He didn't know what it was but his father seemed to be really excited about it. He pondered in his seat wondering what figurine, or poster so he could fill the empty parts of his room, with the images of the hero he admired the most. The freckled boy decided to keep drawing sketches of his hero costume.

Before he could sketch any further he heard the creaking of a door opening followed by the footsteps of a woman walking in. He turned and saw his mother with her dark green hair, and her warm smile plastered across her face. She eased her way to him holding something behind her back as she stepped closer.

"Izuku, your father's gift has arrived."

She announced with that soft gentle tone of hers. She couldn't help, but smile, because she was finally able to give her son his gift, from her distant husband.

Izuku's face beamed with excitement waiting to see what he would receive. He hopped off his chair, bouncing a little bit with his excitement flowing throughout his body.

Inko's eyes focused on her son seeing the innocent expression on his face. She pulled the gift behind her back, showing a feline hidden behind her hands except for its head. The feline had a nice black coat, with her emerald green eyes. Her legs were short and underdeveloped because she was a kitten. She looked at her son's face waiting for his reaction.

"Oh my, it's a baby kitten."

He softly spoke surprised that it wasn't a figurine, but now a new friend. He moseyed up to his mother, and reached out with his tiny hands, hoping to release the cat from her mother's grasp so he could bring it to his own.

She released the kitten into her offspring, letting him cradle it like a newborn child in his arms. She looked at his innocent smile, seeing the warmth from his expression fill the room with joy. She wanted to stay seeing her son play with the cat until they're both exhausted, but she had things to do with Mitsuki, her long-time best friend.

"Izuku baby, I gotta go. I have plans with Mitsuki, but when I come back we can all play together. Oh, before I forget Izuku there's some cat toys out here."

She spoke in a kind way that would melt anybody's heart, unfortunately her son wasn't paying attention. He was charmed by the feline's adorable eyes, and fluffy body. She was going to speak again, but decided not to because her son was too engrossed in the cat. She decided to leave, closing the door behind her with a light creaking noise.

The feline stared at the mother almost like it was waiting for her to leave. As soon as she did she stayed with the boy cuddling up to him, for a few minutes, before she heard another door shut. After hearing the second noise she decided to turn to the boy looking into his emerald eyes.

"Nice to meet you. My name is Sabrina, and I am your familiar."

She announced to the freckled child's shock. The boy's eyes went wide and with a quick reaction he released her from his grasp, causing her to fall. She reacted quickly, and landed on her feet, flipping herself before the ground could even touch her. The quirkless boy was still shocked, and fell on his back causing him to slam the back of his head into the chair that he was doodling in.

"Geez."

He squealed out, holding onto the back of his head feeling the throbbing pain. He wanted to say something to the cat, but he was in too much pain to respond.

Sabrina, seeing this, strutted her body up to the boy placing up her paw on his head, and muttered out magical words. A translucent green light came from her paws surrounding the child. Izuku felt the throbbing pain disappear, and his body relaxed almost like some external force was calming him down.

"Sorry to scare you child, it seems your father has not explained our situation. So I must now, your father is a wizard, and since you are quirkless you have the potential to use magic."

She explained in a soft gentle voice trying not to frighten the boy further. Izuku stares at the cat looking into her green eyes, noticing there's no hint of deception. He decides to get up onto his feet towering over the cat.

"So am I a wizard?"

He questioned trying to confirm what he heard. Then he realizes he's extremely calm for some reason even though he should be freaking out. Izuku's eyes stared at the collar around her neck, noticing a key for some reason he was drawn to it. Without him even knowing his body started moving on its own, grabbing the key by removing it from the collar of the cat.

"Good now let's see what you got, young wizard."

She spoke in a soothing soft voice like a lullaby, charming a child to sleep. She strutted to the door with the pride of a panther, and waited for the boy to follow. Izuku moves his body like a puppet, and places the key in the keyhole of his room causing the door to shine a bright purple. Izuku's hand makes his way to the doorknob and turns it. He's still unaware of what he was doing, or the purpose.

After the door was opened, it revealed a magical wizard's lair, consisting of red bricks neatly stacked on top of each other, with dark wooden flooring. There were tables littered with papers, and beakers with strange liquids inside. On the opposite side of the door there was a curved wall with a built-in bookshelf filled to the brim with arcane tomes. He paid it no mind, even though his body started to move directly towards the bookshelf robotically one step at a time. He eventually made it to the bookshelf standing in front of a strange circle. It consisted of a 7 pointed star in the middle followed by arcane runes adorning inner edges of the circle.

Sabrina follows behind supervising Izuku making sure he didn't awaken from his trance. She took a second to admire the craftsmanship of the lair, because it was her first time ever stepping foot in this one. Her attention was drawn back to the young wizard, who is holding a small purple orb currently, and sitting down in the magical circle. She couldn't help, but have a joyful expression on her face, watching her new master take his first steps into wizardry.

Izuku parsley awakens to some form of consciousness feeling a weird liquid in his body before it starts shifting into a small condensed ball, then more liquid begins entering his body causing him to do the same with that liquid as well. His consciousness couldn't conceive how much time has passed like a deep sleep, after some time his body starts to shake. He could feel it begin to lose strength, and focus, until he lost all feeling once again.

Izuku awoke being cradled by his bed, feeling the softness of the pillow supporting his head. He felt the weight of a small creature on his chest, feeling vibrations of it's pur, and decided to pat it feeling the fluffiness of it's coat. He opened his eyes slowly, still feeling the weight of all of his exhaustion, but still his eyes opened peering at the cat on his chest thinking that it was all a dream. Before he could relax, he felt something strange like new knowledge was poured into him when he was asleep. He raised his hand pointing at the ceiling without thinking he muttered an incantation, causing a burst of wind to appear from the center of his palm, punching a hole in the ceiling. This one action chased all the sleep away from his body, and his eyes went wide.

"New master, you shouldn't be doing such things indoors, it is reckless and dangerous. If you want to test your new magical abilities do so in the magical sanctum, your father graciously provided us."

The feline chastised the foolish young wizard for misusing magic. Then she decided to get off of him, heading back to the door, and waiting for him to follow her to the sanctum.

"Um, can you explain a few things for me? How do I know how to use magic even though I never studied it at all? Or that I know that you're a familiar, and you live off my magic, how do I know that?"

He questioned trying to figure out why his brain has been bombarded with new knowledge. His eyes focused on the cat waiting for her response, but he stood there not paying attention to him. He felt a sharp pain in his head followed by more streams of knowledge entering his head. The knowledge that was sent to him explains to him. How the orb that he was holding earlier transferred a portion of somebody's knowledge. His vision started blurring again, feeling like he was about to pass out, but then somebody grabbed him with soft gentle hands. He turned up seeing a girl with emerald eyes, and long black beautiful hair. He took a second to look at her face seeing her cute slim face, he noticed her ears were sharp and pointy, similar to an elf. He shook his head at trying to stay conscious trying not to let the sleep take over his body once again.

"New master, I don't think the transfer is complete yet, so you should rest until it's done."

She spoke in a soft gentle voice soothing his worries away, it was like his mother was here with him, calming him down trying to get him to sleep. She had a small smile on her face, and assured him that everything would be all right. So he allowed the sleep to take him once again.

He awoke again but now he wasn't in his room, he awoke in an endless white void floating. He began to search around trying to find an exit out of here, or at least where the ground was because he didn't know. If he was upside down, or not due to the endless white void messing with his sense of direction.

"Izuku, congratulations you finally have started your journey into becoming a young wizard."

A familiar voice spoke out to him, he couldn't tell who it was, but then he remembered a phone call he had yesterday. Izuku turns his body trying to face the person making the voice, his eyes go wide seeing a black haired man, with freckles crossed his face.

"Dad?"

He questioned looking at his dad's attire, seeing ancient black robes with a crooked pointed hat. He looked into his dad's eyes seeing a warm gaze filled with approval, before he could be entranced by his father any further. A memory flashing in his head shows another person testing a magical spell. This scared him because he didn't know what life he was living in those flashes.

"It is time for a Q & A, ask away Izuku."

He spoke eagerly waiting to see what questions his son would have.

"I don't know what's going on with my body. I know knowledge is being transferred, but it's not my memories."

He questions nervously like he was losing his mind the more knowledge was put into him.

"Oh, I see, well what you're experiencing is my memories, and I'm transferring that knowledge to you speaking of which, I'm teaching you basic spells from every school of magic."

He ensured his son quenching Izuku's worries then, he patiently waited for the next question.

"Thanks Dad, I guess the next question is. How am I a wizard and what's going on?"

He questions trying to get to the bottom of what mysterious past that his father had. His father didn't respond as immediately as the last question, so Izuku's heart started racing, waiting for his father's response. Izuku's father had his hand under his chin in deep concentration.

"Izuku, the reason you're a wizard is because you're quirkless, and I made you quirkless."

He answered back after a deep thought about whether he should tell his son the secrets of why he was quirkless. He paused after speaking to let it sink in, making sure his son had time to process what he just said. Izuku floated there, staring at his father. He didn't know if he was angry with him or felt more betrayed.

"Let's continue, the chances of you having a quirk we're basically 0 because of my blood, and a spell that was cast on me a long time ago, and every wizard. The reason for that was because if you had a quirk you wouldn't be able to produce magic."

He continued to explain, but took another pause to let the knowledge sink into his son. He looked at his son, seeing his facial expression shifting to a more relaxed demeanor. Then he saw Izuku put his hand up to his chin and start muttering a storm, he smiled seeing that his son did the same as him, when he was processing new information.

"Okay Izuku, enough muttering now let's continue, the reason why I'm telling you. This is because you've reached the age of 7. Which is the age that young wizards are taught about magic, and also the importance of keeping it a secret. Unless you want to convert somebody to a wizard. But that's a story for another time. You probably won't do that until you're ready, now, I'll leave you. With this the life of a young wizard is filled with self-study to be more exact. So I won't be helping you with anything, the rest is up to you."

After he ranted, he had a giant smile on his face seeing his son in front of him, he wanted to help. He wanted to be there every step of the way with him, but he knew he couldn't, since he swore to follow old traditions. Then his body started to fade, and he waved goodbye to his son wishing him best of luck on his journey.

Izuku reached out his hand trying to reach him, so he could answer more questions but it was futile. In the end he faded way too quickly, then a flash of light appeared blinding him then, he awoke being cradled by his bed once again.

"So I am a wizard, So now I can become a hero."

He excitedly stated while clenching his fists with determination, he got onto his feet, and turned his body facing the door to his future. He hesitantly stared at the door unsure, if he was ready for this. Then he remembered the day his mother apologized to him, like it was her fault for him not being born with a quirk. He began to remember the question that haunted him for the past few years. He didn't have a quirk, but he didn't need it any more, so he took a deep breath, toughened his face, and charged at the door, opening it and diving into the tomes of magic, so he could fulfill his dream.

A month passed, and Izuku spent most of his time inside his little sanctum practicing, and learning magic. Currently he's been practicing transmutation magic learning, how to bring adamant objects to life, and he could repair broken objects to practically new condition. It would make doing homework much easier for him, if he could use multiple pencils at the same time, and take notes faster. He can buy damaged All-Might merch, and fix it to premium condition.

Izuku was currently sitting in a storage room inside of his sanctum filled with junk that he took from Taboga Municipal Beach Park. He sat in the center of the room, with floating pens writing down notes, while he had a toaster in his hand channeling magic into it, fixing it. He's also learned how to use magic to determine what's wrong with an object, and with that knowledge he could fix it much easier.

"Master, I understand you're practicing magic, and all, but I don't see how this is going to help you become a hero. I don't think a villain would need a toaster fixed, or notes taken."

She spoke out with her concerns about his training, thinking that he's wasting his time on useless magic. She stared at him waiting for his answer, but he seemed too focused on his, tinkering to even pay attention. After he finished fixing the toaster he put it down, and looked at his feline companion.

"I agree, this isn't a good way to become a hero, with fighting at least, but it's going to help me in the long run. Look at all the books around us, and these are all basic. If I want to achieve the next level, I will need better books, right? How do I procure more books? With money, so what I'm going to do now is fix things, and sell them. Hopefully, with enough time, I can purchase a few more books that I want."

He explained with a cheery attitude, and a colossal smile on his face that could warm anybody's heart. Sabrina's eyes went wide after hearing his explanation. She thought about what he said, and agreed with him. She even knows being a hero is hard, and the basic books wouldn't cut it to be a hero. She was happy that her master wasn't just thinking about the present, but the future. She decided to transform into her human form. She stood there staring at the junk with her long black hair, and pointy ears eyeing which piece she wanted to fix.

"O-oh…...that's new….you look nice."

He complimented nervously trying to not let his blush show on his face. He stared at her, seeing her in a black sundress, and her beautiful green eyes. He shook his head trying to focus on his work, not being charmed by her beauty.

Sabrina didn't care about the compliment, she was too focused on helping her master. So she moves to the pile of junk grabbing a microwave, and starts channeling magic into it. Since any spell that her master learned, she knew as well due to their pact.

The rest of the day went like that, they would both fix broken junk, and take short breaks to regain their mana. At the end of the day Izuku would go online posting images of the junk fixed in prime condition for any eager buyers. Usually most of the stock would be sold off in a week, and then he just had to ship it to the customer. Compared to any other kids his age he was rolling in tons of yen. He also practices making magic items that could store up giant objects in a dimensional space. It would make it easier for him to transfer objects from the beach to his sanctum.

Another month passed, and he was sitting in his room counting all the yen he had with a giant smile on his face. He was happy with his results not just with the money, but with his magic growing. At first using magic for an hour would drain him, now he can do it for at least 4 hours without feeling the effects of exhaustion. He also finished the basic books for transmutation. He finished reading all the books on his shelf, determining there are only 8 schools of magic. Abjuration, conjuration,Divination, enchantment, evocation, Illusion, necromancy, and transmutation. Each of the schools has magnificent benefits. From what he could read there are only five levels of magic. The first level would only have about three volumes. So if he wanted to increase the ability to learn magic you would need the other books. Luckily he found a few of the book's words magical, but had directions on how to identify a magical shop that may sell books.

He decided to put some of his money in his backpack and go on the internet looking for the signs of a magic shop through google imaging. From what he readed a magical shop would have a magical rune written on the front of the shop. It took him about an hour until he found a shop with that marking. Hopefully it had the magical item he would need to become a hero. He thought about what school of magic would be appropriate for his fake quirk, but he decided he didn't want to limit himself. So he researched a magical item that would allow him to cast magic without mumbling magical words, and would also give him tattoos that would shift unnaturally like a quirk. He would play it off that his quirk allowed him to code things, and manipulate matter around him.

"Sabrina, let's go to the magic shop."

Izuku announced with his happy broccoli face, then he stood up, headed to the door and waited for his cat companion to follow him.

"Sorry master, I'm not interested in going. I want to take a nap today."

She announced her complaint, while curled up in a ball shooting a tired glare at her master. Izuku's smile went away after that but after he thought about it. He knew that she was working really hard, so he wasn't mad.

"Okay get some rest then. I'll come back with some more books, and my quirk"

He replied to his familiar with an excited voice not trying to show his disappointment in her rejection. Then he stepped out of his apartment heading outside. He leisurely walked to the magic shop, taking his time seeing the buildings around town with the people with strange quirks he could write down. Unfortunately it would take him a long time to get there, about an hour with his speed, but he didn't mind since he was working indoors for the last 2 months. He took in a deep breath, and hailing the fresh air, feeling the warm sunlight on his skin, he wanted to enjoy it as long as he could before, he had to go back to being a hermit.

He made it to the shop, staring at it, seeing the old antiques in the windows. It didn't seem to have that much business, from what he saw from the outside. Izuku hoped he didn't make a mistake coming here, but he shook that thought out of his head. He took a deep breath to calm his nerves. Then he stepped into the shop with quiet steps. When he opened the door the bell rang signaling to the owner that somebody was here.

"Hello I'm looking for a particular item. Can you help me?!"

Izuku loudly asked due to his nervous nature not allowing him to be completely calm. He quickly put his hands over his mouth trying to stop himself from screaming anymore.

"Geez kid if you scream any louder, I'm going to go deaf. Now get over here by the counter."

The owner's voice ordering the broccoli child with a powerful authority. The man's voice sounded old, and rascally, like a proper aged, fine wine.

Izuku didn't want to make the person any more mad, so he scurried his way to the counter as quickly as possible. He stared at the tall man, his figure dwarfing Izuku's. He looked at his features, seeing the wrinkles on his face, with an iconic long grey beard. The man's gaze stared at the boy looking through him, with how intimidating it was. Izuku wanted to speak, but he started getting nervous.

"What? Does your familiar have your tongue right now, come on tell me what you came here for?"

He demanded to know not wanting his time wasted. The old wizard stared at the broccoli boy seeing his leg start to shake, after seeing that he knew that this young wizard had no confidence.

"Boy, understand this, I'm here to sell my wares. I can't do that if you don't speak, so out with it."

He demanded in a harsh tone, trying to get the bottom of why this peepsqueak mage was even bothering him. The old mage's voice bit into Izuku's confidence causing him to shake like a beaten dog.

Izuku took a breath in and out calming himself, so he could speak properly, with his breathing he was able to relax himself, and focus on the task. He gazed at the man's eyes only for a second, because after seeing his hardened expression he got nervous again. He was currently staring at the ground not trying to make eye contact with the scary figure in front of him.

"Sorry, sir, I just want to purchase some items. So I...will...I..will..un"

Izuku mumbles out nervously, not even finishing his sentence. He tried to muster up any strength he had remaining in his body, but it was futile. He stood there in his own sorrow waiting for the wizard to kick him out.

"Okay, now we're talking at least somewhat. Do you have a list of the items that you want? If so, just put it on the table, and I'll see what I can do. If you don't, write it down because I don't want to spend eternity trying to talk to you. Especially with the customers around."

He explained his demands to the child in his empty shop, with the two of them being the only ones there. He still stared through the green haired boy with his dagger eyes. Izuku flipped over his backpack taking out a recently crumpled piece of paper, due to his nervousness. He gently placed it on the counter, and patiently waited for the man to take it.

The old wizard didn't hesitate to grab the paper, and started walking away to the back of his shop, before he turned around though he glanced at the boys seeing his nervousness. He shook his head thinking how young wizards nowadays were so cowardly. He went to a storage room filled with arcane tomes and magical devices that could destroy an ordinary person. He opened the list seeing the crumpled words. He raised his eyebrow thinking that it was a joke. Then he read the remaining items on the list, also thinking it was a joke. He gritted his teeth hoping that the young cocky wizard was ready to get his ears chewed out.

He quickly picked the items, putting them all in a bag, then he rushed back to the counter with a fury in his eye. He gently put all the items on the counter, and then shot a terrifying glare through the boy. But the boy didn't look up, or respond, he was just too nervous, muttering to himself. Seeing this pissed off the wizard even more, with a flick of his finger a sheet of paper came out of his pocket floating in front of the green annoyance.

Izuku was broken out of his trance, and saw the note floating in the air. He gently picked it up, and opened it, seeing the price tag. Still not staring at the man, he went to his bag, pulling out the requested amount of money, and placing it on the counter. The old man raised an eyebrow seeing the amount of money, thinking it was still a joke.

"Child, are you serious? I'm selling you level 2 grade magical books on transmutation. You would at least need a year to finish the first set of books before moving on, but I guess you're buying for the future."

He made his annoyance clear to the boy, not hiding it at all, before taking the money.

"I already finished those books."

Izuku spoke softly like a mouse, not trying to bring suspicion, with a predator around him. Before he reached out his hand to grab the books, he was interrupted by laughter.

"Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha kid If you want to come up with a better lie. you're going to have to try better than that. I take it you've only been a wizard for maybe a few months, and you're telling me you already figured out transmutation magic which takes years to master."

The old wizard insulted the child, laughing at his face. He started holding his side, feeling his ribs start to hurt, since they were contracting rapidly. He kept laughing louder, and louder causing the room to be filled with his laughter.

Izuku started to cry, thinking no matter what, he would always be a deku like his terrible best friend said. He bowed his head down, not showing his face to the man mocking him, feeling the bitter tears hit his lips. Before he even knew it, he released his raw magical power into the shop, causing a green aura to wrap around him.

The shopkeeper looked at the boy with his eyes wide, with a slight terror behind it. It wasn't that the broccoli boy had greater magical powers than him, it was just the amount he had at such a young age. The wizard knew it was at least eight times the normal amount for somebody at his age.

Izuku finally heard the laughter stop, grabbed his items, and left in a hurry without looking at the man, tears still running down his eyes. He rushed the door with his tiny legs pushing him every step further to his goal to leave.

The old wizard made no attempts to stop the rage filled child. His body was still shaking from the shock of seeing a child, with that much magical potential. Before he could relax he remembered the particular bushy black haired freckled man, and muttered out his name.

"Merlin."
