I take a chocolate chip cookie and eat it slowly I finish it and finish drinking the milk. They turn the television on and we watch a movie. Meanwhile, Lock, Barrel and Jack walk into the living room and sit on the couch me on his lap Oogie and Mayor sit on the love seat relaxing.
"I'm just glad we could watch this movie with you all" Shock said.
Lock turns the tv on and watch a movie. I'm just laying on them sleeping with lock running his fingers through her hair calming her down.
"I just hope Sally will be able to watch movies with us without falling asleep" Barrel said.
"I'm sure she will so she's not up at night" Lock said.
She smiles at them while, they are watching the movie. They smile back she feels safer with them especially Jack no matter what happens. They eat a cookie and drink milk like she did. She's just glad to have a family who loves her.
"I wonder what she's dreaming about instead of having a nightmare she never gets to have dreams always nightmares that keep her up all night" Jack said.
"We could ask her when she wakes up before we all head to bed for the night" Shock said.
She is taking a nap but, has a nightmare, opens her eyes and feels Barrel still running his fingers through her hair calming her down. She just lays there quietly hoping they don't notice the way she looks after having a nightmare and want to tell them about it cause she don't want them to worry like they always do.
"I see she opened her eyes but, she didn't sit up like she always does after she takes naps" Mayor said.
"She does have Barrel calming her down running his fingers through her hair" Lock said.
"Yeah I love doing this to calm her down it seems to help alot after she has a nightmare" Barrel said.
Jack looks at me and notices she had a nightmare but, won't say anything to them just let her tell him when she's ready. Sally just doesn't want to tell them cause it might come true and she doesn't want them to worry. She smile back at him hugging him.
"Sally I know you had a nightmare you can tell me but, I won't say anything to them cause we don't need them to worry" Jack said.
She looks at him snuggling into his chest resting.
"I did it was really scary, you were destroyed and never came back" Sally said.
He puts his cold hand on her forehead and feels that she's burning up, teleports upstairs into her room, magics her pajamas, lays her under the covers, puts a cold rag on her head. Lock, Shock, Barrel and Mayor walk into her room to check on her. They all head into the hallway except Shock she stayed with her. Lock is the one to talk.
"What happened why did Sally burn up the only way she has a high fever is when she has a nightmare?" Lock said.
"She had a nightmare I was gone for good and never came back" Jack said.
"What do you mean you couldn't come back" Mayor said.
"Remember when Oogie took over Halloween Town and Jack was gone for good" said.
"Oh yeah now I remember" Shock said.
Sally gets out of bed, holds on to the wall, standing in the doorway looking at them.
"When Jack was gone he never came back" Sally said.
She collapsed in his arms, he carries her back into the bed covering her up, with the coldest rag on her head again while, she closes her eyes and tries to sleep.
"We all love you and never want that to happen" Shock said.
They look at her.
"I think I know what she's worried about" Lock said.
Barrel looks at her.
"What do you think she's worried about?" Barrel said.
Mayor looks at them.
"Maybe she's worried about being alone when he is gone" Oogie said.
Jack looks at her.
"You could be right about that she has the old house" Jack said.
Sally gets out of bed and walks over to him.
"I know that I have all of you but what if your gone and don't come back what do I do without you" Sally said.
Jack picks me up holding me.
"I'm not sure maybe I can find out" Jack said.
She looks at him smiling.
"That's a good idea cause I do not want to live without you" Sally said.
Zero, Shock, Lock, Mayor, Oogie and Barrel head to their rooms and get ready for bed then fall asleep fast. Jack lays next to her on top of the covers, leaving the cold rag on her head and holding her close where she finally closes her eyes and falls asleep. They all sleep through the night and morning. They all need sleep.
