Hey everycreature! What's up!?

So rewatching the Season 6 premiere, I thought of this idea for another short story involving Flurry Heart, Pound Cake, and their daughter, Cinnamon Heart. And well… I think it's pretty obvious what this story will be about!

So lets get right to it!

Chapter 1: A Miracle

Today was a very wonderful day in the Crystal Empire, for today, a miracle was happening in the kingdom's hospital as a whole group of ponies and a couple of other creatures were all gathered just outside one of the operating rooms in the building. Everyone was quiet as they could hear an operation being carried out by the doctors as well as the struggling of the pony being operated on, minutes seemed like hours as everyone outside waited patiently.

Along the ponies were Prince Shining Armor and Princess Cadance, the co-rulers of the Crystal Empire, their son in law, Pound Cake, Pound's family, his parents and his sister Pumpkin Cake. As well as the princess of Equestria, Twilight Sparkle, along with her royal advisor Spike the dragon, her guard captain, Gallus the griffon. There was also the head three ponies in charge of the School of Friendship in Ponyville, Starlight, Sunburst, and Trixie. And last but not least the members of her royal council, Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash. All waiting as time seemed to fly by before they would get the good or bad news and luckily it would be good as finally the head doctor came out of the operating room.

"How is my daughter, doctor?" Shining Armor asked.

"The princess did the operation perfectly, no problems at all." The doctor announced to the joy of everyone. "She's inside and waiting for you all, but I suggest only a few at a time, don't want to overwhelm her."

"Her closet family should go first." Twilight letting Cadance and Shining Armor, as well as Pound Cake go in first to see the pony.

"Thanks Twilight." Cadance told her sister in law as the three trotted on inside, where the other doctors and nurses all took a bow before resuming their duties.

"Hey mom, dad, honey…" A weary Princess Flurry Heart, greeted the three in a very tired, almost whispering voice as she held onto a little wrapped up bundle as inside, there was a sleeping little pegasus foal.

"She's very beautiful sweetie." Cadance commented as the three came to the bed side.

"Yeah, reminds me a little of when you first came into the world…" Shining Armor spoke as a tear escaped his eye.

"Dad, are you crying?" Flurry teased her father.

"Of course not…" Shining Armor quickly wiping away the tear. "It's liquid pride, totally different." Shining Armor lied as Flurry just chuckled softly.

"You did a great job honey, our little foal is perfect." Pound Cake smiled as he gave Flurry a kiss on the muzzle. "And I'm not going to lie, I'm glad it's not an alicorn."

"Yeah, me too…" Flurry remembered hearing the story of when she was born, how her magic was basically uncontrollable and well… Things didn't exactly go right at first. "And I can't wait for the Crystalling."

"Same here sweetie and it's going to be your first time taking charge of one." Cadance added as indeed it was going to be Flurry's first time doing one without her parents helping. "But first I think it's better you relax for a day, you earned it."

"Thanks mom." Flurry sighed as she made sure her daughter was still held in her hooves and wouldn't fall out.

"I think we better let everyone else see you for now." Shining Armor reminded his wife and son in law. "Rest easy sweetie and take as long as you need to recover."

"Thanks dad, love you three very much." Flurry told her parents and husband as they then left to let the next few, Flurry's aunt, Twilight Sparkle, Spike and Gallus in to see Flurry and her baby.

After all the visitors got to see the new baby, Flurry rested for the day and the night, recovering and getting her strength back, which was a little easier since Flurry was an alicorn, like her mother and Auntie Twilight, having all the traits of Earth, Pegasus, and Unicorn ponies in her. By morning, Flurry was back to her old, strong self, able to stand without any problems on her hooves as her family as well as Uncle and Auntie like friends, came back to see how Flurry was doing. After being cleared by the hospital and with a carriage ready, the group returned back to the Crystal Palace to begin the process of preparing the Crystalling for the little foal.

"It's nice to see you back to your normal self honey." Pound Cake commented as the two led the group as Flurry pushed the baby carriage with her magic.

"Yes, one of the benefits of being an alicorn." Flurry replied. "But all of you being there also helped, especially you honey."

"You're welcome and I can't wait to watch our foal grow up." Pound Cake smiled as he looked down to his little daughter, who was awake and sucking on her hooves and little wingtips.

Flurry was excited for her foal's Crystalling, for, again, it was going to not only be her first time taking charge of one, but it was for her own daughter too, which made it extra special for Flurry. And she was sure she would do a good job, she of course attended all the other Crystallings her parents did for the kingdom, for the Crystal ponies. She also had the help of her family, uncles, and aunties, all ready to help Flurry prepare for the event.

After a nice lunch, it was time to begin the preparations, a number of things to do, along them, interviewing the honor guards for the ceremony, choosing the purity crystal, and finally pick a crystaller, which was going to be the hardest part, but Flurry figured she would worry about that last. And first up was the honor guards, which Flurry had the help of her father and Gallus, in the meantime, Pound Cake, with the help of his family watched over their daughter.

"Don't worry sweetie, this part's very easy." Shining Armor told his daughter. "Should be easy to pick out the guard group, after all, I trained every one of them."

"Yeah, and I'll help double check." Gallus added. "Although I'm sure my former mentor has things well in hoof." Gallus spoke of Shining Armor.

"Thanks you two." Flurry spoke as the three trotted to the room in the palace used for guard roll calls and such. "With all of you here, I'm sure this Crystalling is going to be perfect." Flurry confident that things will work out as the three arrived and entered the room.

Little did Flurry realize that things wouldn't go as perfectly as she hoped and things would go worse before it got better…
