Hello! I'm sorry to leave you guys on such a cliffhanger last chapter. Chapter 7 was jam-packed full of characters and new places and secrets; it was amazing to write and I hope amazing to read. Now just a quick note, I'm not very good at lovemaking scenes and even more horrible at scenes where characters have sex. I've just never written them a ton. But I hope you'll bear with me and not cringe!

Read, enjoy, and don't forget to leave a review! I would love to hear feedback!

Disclaimer: I don't own characters from Vampire Diaries or The Originals. They belong to Julie Plec and the CW!

Chapter 8

Katherine never thought of when she was sent to her room as punishment, per say. It became an opportunity to cause even more mischief, as the eldest princess was known for. She must've gotten it from her father.

So far her quest involved almost all the soldiers serving Kol, including Tyler. It was her birthright to take everything for herself and leave none for Caroline, or so Katherine thought. Sexual conquests included. No matter how tightly her bedroom door was locked or how many guards were posted, a bribe or a favor usually granted her wish.

It was a pity her sister had gotten scolded by Kol for what Katherine was able to get away with on almost a nightly basis. Or daily, depending on what she fancied. Gazing down to see what Caroline was missing made her smile gleefully. It was quite a sight if the princess did say so herself.

Sweat glistening off his tanned, muscular body, Mason's wide eyes locked on hers, his teeth clenching the gag in his mouth. His cock stood straight up, red and angry while precum leaked from the tip. Kneeling on Katherine's bed, the werewolf strained, desiring to pleasure himself while also not wanting to be punished by her any further.

The princess's smile only grew wider, showing her gleaming fangs. Dressed in only her finest black and purple lingerie while Mason stripped down to almost nothing, she lightly bounded over, fisting her long fingers into the werewolf's mess of short curls, forcing him to look into her alluring dark brown eyes.

"You look so beautiful, my love." she cooed. "However I can't let anyone hear us. You promise you'll be nice and quiet for me if I ungag you?"

Mason looked absolutely exquisite under her control. So submissive, so needy, so willing to serve her and her desires. Katherine watched him nod, a pleading moan escaping from beneath the gag. Her father would kill her if he found out she'd been in bed with any of the servants, never mind Mason. Well, it would be the servant who'd be dead, she'd be punished severely. A shiver ran up Katherine's spine at the thought.

Reaching behind Mason's head, the gag was untied and taken out. The werewolf moved his mouth and jaw, the soreness settling in after biting down on cloth for almost an hour. Courtesy of the princess. Still, even though Katherine was a bitch, Mason still loved her, but knew where he stood so he wouldn't wind up dead. He'd seen how his master punished anyone who displeased him and he would rather it been that unfortunate soul than him.

Leaning forward to rest her hands on his broad shoulders, Katherine smiled before dipping her head down to place a chaste kiss on Mason's lips, feeling how rough his were compared to her soft ones. His rough stubble lightly brushed against her cheek as his lips moved with hers, starting off slow then quickening the pace, their breathing becoming pants of lust.

Katherine felt Mason's strong, rough hands rub her back, attempting to gently lay her on the bed so he would be on top while he looped his fingers underneath the straps of her bra. Letting out a hiss, she smacked his hands away and unclipped it herself, not wanting the brute to rip the expensive fabric. In a flash, Mason found himself looking up at Katherine from his position on the bed, his head resting on a pillow.

Smiling more to herself than him, the vampire lightly stroked Mason's cheek, positioning herself so she straddled his waist. Leaning down so her beautiful brown curly hair brushed lightly against his chest, her fingers traced from the werewolf's abs all the way up to his face, her gaze never leaving his.

However long she could use Mason for pleasure would be how he lived his life. Otherwise he was useless. It surprised Katherine how he managed to rise up in the ranks and become part of the soldiers that guarded her family. It wasn't strength and brute force he was lacking, but Tyler beat his cousin in the brains department easily.

Still, Mason was attractive and if that's all it took to have him as a fuck toy then so be it. It relieved her sexual tension and boredom while under house arrest from Marcel. He was obedient, never asked questions, and most importantly kept his mouth shut about the goings on between them.

If Kol ever found out….well again Katherine didn't want to think about it. If she'd ever lose Mason, her heart would break. Not because of love or affection, but because there wasn't anyone else in the castle who's loyalty to her was unconditional. That being said, servants were always plentiful so if he died, there would be others waiting to take his spot.

Cupping his face in her hand, similar to her father, Katherine leaned in for another kiss before suddenly being grabbed and flipped over to stare up at Mason. Reaching his large hand down towards her panties, the werewolf's fingers slipped underneath making their way towards her cunt. Gasping in pure arousal as she closed her eyes, feeling those talented fingers work their magic, Katherine was in such ecstasy that she never heard her bedroom door open. Instead she uttered a pleased moan.

"Oh Mason, you'll have to do better than that! Nnggh! Both you and your fingers know how to treat a la-!"

The princess's ears picked up silence, only for her to feel something wet dripping on her stomach. That's not right. He shouldn't have come now.

Unless it wasn't.

What Katherine saw when she opened her eyes would give her nightmares and haunt her dreams for the rest of her life.

Above Mason's body, his hand through the werewolf's chest, stood Kol, eyes set in a cold, furious expression as he clutched his treacherous servant's heart. Blood dripped from the organ in her father's grasp while Mason's lifeless eyes stared into Katherine's own, his mouth open in permanent shock.

Why Mason's dead body hadn't killed her after Kol ripped his heart out was because of her father's other hand on his shoulder, which pushed the body off the bed. His brown eyes emitted a fury that Katherine had never seen before, and it unfortunately was directed at her. It was in that moment the princess realized she was clad in only lingerie, and Kol was staring directly at his daughter's almost naked body.

Squeaking in embarrassment, Katherine quickly sped underneath the covers of her bed, her reddened face peeking out after hearing her father chuckle. However, the smile she saw when gazing up at him never met his eyes that still appeared cold and unmoving. Kol sat on the bed closer to Katherine, cupping her chin in his blood-soaked hand as he forced his daughter to look him in the eye.

There was no denying it, she was in trouble. As hard as telling it to herself was, it was even more difficult to look at the man she loved so much but had disappointed so greatly. Part of Katherine told herself she deserved whatever punishment she'd receive. Another part suggested trying to reason with Kol, convince him she made a mistake and hope he would forgive her.

Katherine was her father's favorite, after all. Right?

Before the princess could speak, her father's other hand came up to her head as he ran his fingers through those curls he loved so much. Kol's thumb stroked her chin, almost soothing Katherine. It made her feel like a little girl again.

Taking a deep breath, the princess gave a tiny smile, thinking all was forgiven, only to feel Kol's warm breath tickle her ear.

"Go clean off this filth and make yourself look presentable, darling. When you return, we'll discuss your punishment."

Yep, Katherine was still in trouble.

After taking a bath and having the maids fetch her new, less-revealing clothes consisting of a purple dress, Katherine reentered her bedroom to find Mason's body gone and Kol pacing in front of the fireplace. She never liked when her father paced with a hand on his chin, it always meant a lecture.

She watched him pause when he noticed her, his hand coldly gesturing towards the bed. "Sit."

Slightly nodding, Katherine took a seat while silently praying Kol wasn't as angry as he seemed to be, though it felt like more things were bothering him than just walking in on her having sex.

However silence was a virtue and it'd be best if the princess didn't arouse her father's anger anymore than she had. That'd make things worse in the long-run. For her at least.

Hearing Kol clear his throat shook Katherine from her thoughts, fear evident on her face. She knew Marcel must've informed her father of all the events occurring at the manor while away on his trip. Her eyes narrowed. If only that servant hadn't acted so cocky. Come to think of it, it was both Lexi's and Marcel's faults she's even receiving a lecture!

"Katerina!"

Kol's commanding tone paused Katherine's musings, for now. He must've noticed her daydreaming. Batting her eyes, the princess gazed at her father innocently, hoping it would soften the harsh blow she knew would come.

"Yes Daddy?"

The glare never left the vampire lord's eyes. "Mind explaining to me what I witnessed in your room and why you were locked away to begin with?"

Katherine knew Marcel explained everything to him, but she went ahead and told her side, hoping to sway his favor towards her and not the servant bitch! "Daddy it wasn't what it looked like, honest!" she protested. The princess would've said more if she'd have an easier time explaining what Kol saw. How would having sex with a servant get her on his good side?

Kol chuckled, standing in front of his daughter with a cocked eyebrow, smirking at how adorable she sounded. "'It wasn't what it looked like'? Darling do you honestly think your lies will work on me? Look at whom you've inherited that little trait from!"

Well, he wasn't wrong. He wasn't fully correct, but he wasn't wrong either. Katherine had heard the stories of her father's wild youth. When you're a thousand-year-old vampire, you have centuries of dastardly deeds.

Sighing, Kol closed his eyes and rubbed his forehead. The witches were of no assistance while on his quest for the diamond. Genevieve certainly wasn't. However, to come home and hear from the man in charge of his household that one of his daughters, his eldest no less, got herself into trouble only to walk in on her apparently not learning her lesson in the slightest. Well, it was the perfect ending he supposed.

What was the point in confining Katherine to her room if her behavior wasn't going to change? Marcel should've known that. Putting his daughter's sexual deviancy in the back of his mind, Kol remembered the situation with Lexi.

"You need to stop antagonizing the servants unless you want to get in trouble more often. I warned both you and Caroline!" he waved his finger in Katherine's direction. "For once I thought you girls would listen to me!"

Unlike Kol, Katherine didn't agree with Marcel about her supposed offence. Maybe if she explained to her father she was only teaching that rebellious wretch a lesson, he'd be more lenient towards her. The entire fight wasn't even her fault! If anyone was 'antagonizing' it was Lexi!

"But Father, that reckless servant started it! Shouldn't she be the one in trouble and not me?" Letting out a snort, her long curls swayed when she turned her head to the side, nose up in the air. "Bonnie too, considering she's an accomplice."

Crossing his arms in front of his chest, Kol's eyes narrowed while his lips pressed in a thin line. Katherine wasn't taking anything he had to say seriously!

"From what I heard Marcel tell me young lady, you're the one who caused the fight, not her! All from attempting to punish her, which as I remember is his jurisdiction while I'm gone, not yours! So unless you want to know what servitude's like, I suggest you and your sister learn to obey anyone I put in charge!"

Kol took a step closer to the bed, his gaze boring into his daughter. "And I do mean anyone. Don't think for even a second you or Caroline will ever be left alone unsupervised." Pausing to glance downwards, he smirked while shaking his head in utter disbelief. "Of course even when I do have someone supervising, you girls always manage to cause trouble, no matter what. It makes me wonder what can be done to rectify this little problem, hmmm?"

Kol tapped his chin, pondering while Katherine watched. Thoughts ran wild through her mind as she recalled Caroline saying what would happen if they misbehaved. Surely their father wasn't thinking about punishing her, was he? Being a princess she'd never survive servitude!

Her fears were becoming too much! She had to convince him not to punish her that way! Tears forming in her eyes, Katherine got up from the bed to kneel before Kol's feet. She bowed her head while her body shook and pleading sobs racked her voice. "Please Papa! Please don't make me a servant! I'm sorry, I shouldn't have ever disobeyed you! Please don't punish me!"

To say Kol never felt love was a foolish assumption. He never allowed it to show unless absolutely needed, to have control in situations. However when it came to his daughters, he wasn't necessarily cruel. His method of parenting leaned towards the stricter side. It would do no good if Katherine and Caroline were spoiled brats.

On the other hand, observing his eldest daughter about to burst into tears from thinking she was becoming a servant, pulled at his darkened heart. Sighing, the vampire knew the only way to make the situation better.

Squatting down, he swiftly pulled Katherine into his arms, holding her close to his chest while he returned her to the bed. Instead of laying her down, he laid down first, settling his daughter so her head rested on his chest. Kol made sure to grab a pillow to place behind his head, using his other hand to tenderly hold Katherine, stroking her back.

Katherine smiled, feeling like a little girl again while listening to her father's heartbeat and noticing his other hand come up to tangle in her curls. It was soothing and made everything seem calmer. Kol kissed the top of her head, his chest rising slowly up and down. Snuggling into him, Katherine thought about the times when she'd have nightmares as a little girl and Kol would be summoned. He'd pick her up in the same fashion and make sure to cuddle her tightly so she would return to sleep.

Lifting her head, the princess gazed into those brown eyes, once so cold and unmoving, now soft and tender. A warm smile appeared on Kol's face, only reserved for his daughters and in private, lest he lose his reputation for being cold-hearted.

"It's alright sweetheart. I still love you but I need both you and your sister to listen when I tell you things of the utmost importance. It would save you two from getting in trouble." His smile turned into a smirk. "Then again, you wouldn't be my little Katerina without causing mischief and mayhem wherever you go."

Hearing her father say his pet name for her caused Katherine's smile to grow a bit wider. No matter how angry he would become or how many times there'd be a lecture, she knew he loved and cherished her. Besides it would be very out of character if there wasn't a whirlwind of chaos behind her every step, now wouldn't it?

"You know that's how I am, Papa. It's how I've always been. Who would be your favorite if I wasn't around, hmmm?"

A laugh came from Kol, his chest rumbling under Katherine's cheek. "I'm not sure, darling. From the moment you were placed in my arms at birth, you've always held a special place in my heart." Truthfully he did, and he loved Caroline as well. However his love for his eldest, his very first child, felt different somehow.

Speaking of birth, dark brown eyes met her father's own, staring inquisitively with a question on the tip of her tongue. "Daddy, what was my mother like? I know she died before we officially got to meet but you never speak a word about her. Not even her name."

Whatever brought that up? Kol, shocked and unsure of what to say, blinked a few times before regaining his composure. There was a reason his daughters never knew anything about their mothers, especially Caroline. Katherine's mother had been a different story, one he would never share; those were painful memories he'd rather keep locked away.

His fingers ran through his daughter's wild mane, a tender smile on his face. Instead of the past, he'd rather his thoughts be about the ultimate goal and his girls' well being. That's all they were to be about.

A knock upon the door made both father and daughter raise their heads, interrupting both Kol's reminiscing and thankfully him answering Katherine's question.

Marcel's voice came from behind the door. "My lord, may I come in?"

Noticing Katherine instantly pout, her eyebrows furrowed, Kol smiled, kissing the top of her head before gesturing for his commander to be let in. The servant by the door nodded and opened the door, Marcel entering followed by Jackson.

Nearing the bed, the two of them were talking in low whispers.

"It seems our lord is still angry with you. Ha!" Jackson dug his elbow into Marcel's side. "Couldn't even keep your eyes on two measly little girls. How pathetic!"

The vampire glared, shoving the werewolf off him. "What about you? I'd like to see you try taming two bratty little girls and a house full of servants including the two resident troublemakers, Bonnie and Lexi! You wouldn't even last a day babysitting!"

Jackson snorted. "I would have taken your daylight ring and put you out in the sun for the job you did while we were away! I'm surprised our master hasn't given the command!"

"Marcel! Jackson! Enough!"

Swiftly turning their attention towards the bed where both Kol and Katherine were watching them argue, Marcel swore he smelled smoke just from the furious glare the princess directed at him. How dare he call her 'bratty'!

Eyebrows raised in confusion at both commanders, Kol hoped someone would tell him what was so urgent for his time with his daughter to be interrupted. "Well? What is it?"

Marcel stepped up, clearing his throat while bowing to his master and the princess. From his coat he pulled out an thick, beautifully decorated envelope addressed to 'Lord Mikaelson' in golden cursive. The royal seal kept the letter closed, but as it was handed to Kol, the vampire felt the red wax and the engraved 'S', letting him know exactly who sent it.

When her father began to open the envelope, Katherine's interest immediately piqued as to what it contained. It appeared to be very official. Kol unfolded the paper inside, allowing the princess to read it from her place in his lap, his expression growing more and more devious by every sentence.

" 'Dear whomever it may concern. You are cordially invited in a week's time to the royal ball hosted by Their Majesties, King Damon and Queen Elena, as a means to celebrate their son, Prince Jeremy. Any and all young ladies in the kingdom are invited to attend along with a guest. Dancing and general merriment are to be expected and anticipated. The time of the event will be 7:00 pm so don't be late! Signed, King Damon and Queen Elena.'"

Interesting. A royal ball where only young ladies are invited to attend. A dark chuckle escaped Kol's lips. This might work into his plans after all.

Jackson noticed his master staring directly at him before giving the werewolf a sly wink. He nodded at Kol, a knowing smirk on his face. Turning to watch Marcel's reaction, he leaned forward whispering the plan in the vampire's ear. Nodding, Marcel's eyes never once betrayed his inner feelings about whatever he saw transpire between his master and Jackson.

Whatever it was, he would know, but never all the details. After the incident with Lexi where she'd been tortured, Marcel began to find it difficult to see Kol and the fellow commander in the same light as before. Instead he felt he couldn't trust them, but Marcel would rather die before they knew that tidbit of information.

Katherine would have seen the hesitation in Marcel's face had she been paying attention to anything other than the letter. Ball gowns, dancing, the prince! It's more than she could ever dream of! Caroline must know about this! Oh the night was going to be wonderful, and there was going to be a prince!

Excitement caused her to unconsciously bounce in her father's lap, a beaming smile on her face at this wonderful news! "Oh Daddy can we please go? Can we, can we? It's a royal ball and everyone in the kingdom will be there!"

Katherine's bouncing continued until Kol's strong hand wrapped around her shoulder, holding her still while he chuckled at her antics. "Of course we will darling, and you girls will be the prettiest ones there. No expense spared for my little princesses!"

Squealing happily, Katherine hugged her father tightly while Kol merely patted her back, reaching to unwrap his daughter's arms from around his shoulders. He hoped Caroline wouldn't have the same reaction.

Taking a hand to tilt her chin so she faced him, he gave her a smile. "I have to leave now darling. It's getting late and will soon be past your bedtime." He tapped her nose playfully. "I'll see you and Caroline tomorrow morning."

Katherine, happy all was forgiven, placed a kiss on Kol's cheek. "Goodnight Daddy. I love you."

Placing his hands on both sides of her head, Kol leaned forward to kiss her on top, hoping she would learn from his little lecture and not act so promiscuously. Especially when he was home. "I love you as well sweetheart."

Getting up from his place on the bed, he noticed Marcel and Jackson already at the doors, patiently waiting. Before leaving, Kol turned to get one final look at Katherine before he headed to bed, giving her a smirk.

"Be on your best behavior, Katerina. I don't want to have this conversation ever again. Understand?"

Katherine merely nodded, her head bowed. She didn't want it either. Ever if possible. She couldn't risk losing another lover to her father's unpredictable moods.

Kol responded with a nod of affirmation before turning softly on his heel to walk out the bedroom doors that were held open for him by Jackson and Marcel. Making their way down the hallway towards his bedroom, the vampire led in front followed by the two commanders behind him on either side. What Kol hadn't counted on was the constant bickering.

"Maybe you have a soft-spot for the servants! I think its for the pretty blonde one." Jackson snorted "What's her name, Leslie? Lindsey?"

Marcel responded with a growl. "It's Lexi and at least I know their names! Unlike someone I know, I act like a gentleman!"

"When you act like you're their friend, they don't respect you! Hmph! As if you deserve any respect from your pitiful display of babysitting! You always have our master cleaning up your messes!"

"That's not true! The only problem I ran into while you both were gone were the princess and the two servants, who are both sneakier than they seem. Everything was fine until the fight…!"

"A fight you couldn't have prevented? After Lord Kol so graciously gave you the manor guards, you'd think they'd at least be put to some use! It's hard to believe there weren't any of the men posted upstairs to watch the servants. Unless…"

Marcel quickly faced Jackson's accusing stare, incredibly frustrated with always having to defend himself against the werewolf. "Unless what?"

Jackson, being closer to their master than the vampire, always took the opportunity to rub just how important he thought he was in Marcel's face. Coming closer until their chests were touching, the werewolf smirked, a chuckle escaping his lips.

"Unless you didn't post them upstairs for a reason. Now, correct me if I'm wrong but, knowing you and knowing your relationship with a certain servant who gives you trouble constantly, I would imagine you'd keep an extra pair of eyes on her, not to mention that witch brat."

Jackson tapped his chin thoughtfully, eyes gazing upward. "However, according to what I heard from both you and Princess Caroline, the only guards that were seen were the ones following you when you came upstairs to see what was happening. Now why would that be?"

"Marcel! Jackson! What did I just say earlier?"

The two commanders instantly stopped giving each other death stares to glance sheepishly over at their master, who gave them a glare of his own. Faint veins appeared along the sides of Kol's narrowed eyes, not angry yet but becoming extremely frustrated. First his daughter now these two idiots? What's next?

All Kol desired was to rest but after reading the letter, which he was careful not to crumple in his hand, the vampire knew a conversation was needed. It would change everything.

What else needed to change was how his two most important servants acted! It wouldn't do Kol any good if they behaved like children, especially with the plan he had in mind. He was determined not to let it, or the search for the diamond, fail!

Reaching his bedroom, the doors opened where two maids were inside, making sure everything was perfect for their master when he arrived home. Kol, rubbing his head wearily, went through another door to the right of the fireplace where a large mahogany desk and high-backed black leather chair sat facing the doorway in front of an enormous window. He took his place behind the desk while Marcel and Jackson stood on the other side, facing their master in the gigantic study.

Folding his hands together to where his fingers intertwined on the tabletop, Kol took a deep breath and made sure both men in front of him were paying attention. It was of the utmost importance they were for this to succeed.

"Gentlemen, do you know why I've called this meeting?" He directed his gaze from Marcel to Jackson.

Both commanders stood with their hands behind them, shaking their heads. They had ideas as to why, but didn't speak lest their master thought the same. Kol keenly observed their silence before taking the letter out from his pocket to lay it on the center of the desk.

Staring at the envelope then back to Kol, confusion began to show not just on Marcel's face but on Jackson's as well. "I'm afraid not, my lord." Marcel answered.

The vampire behind the desk chuckled, his ecstasy overwhelming him. This was their ticket! He wouldn't need the diamond if his plan succeeded. All of that tedious searching when another solution was delivered to him in a perfect package! A royal one no less!

"It appears we might not need the diamond after all. This letter inviting my daughters and I to a ball hosted by the King and Queen may be the easiest route to my victory!"

Before Marcel could respond, Jackson interrupted, concerned. "My lord, how exactly is a ball the key to the kingdom, so to speak? What exactly is one night going to do that years of planning and searching hasn't?"

Rereading the letter, Kol's eyebrows raised while glancing up at his most trusted commander, his wicked smile revealing gleaming fangs. "They have a son. If Katherine or Caroline impress him enough to steal his heart, that will be the perfect time to steal the throne and the kingdom. I won't even have to lift a finger! Don't you agree?"

Well it was so far the easiest and safest option of the two ideas, far outweighing forced subjugation in Jackson's and Marcel's minds. Though this revelation silently annoyed the werewolf who'd served his master every step of the way, even when he married Katherine's mother. Marcel joined when Caroline was born, given as a gift by his master's brother.

All of this searching and interrogating the witches for what? So their lord and the princess's could dance the night away and forget about the incredibly powerful diamond entirely?

As if reading Jackson's mind, Kol chuckled, breaking both men from their thoughts. "I haven't forgotten about the diamond, my friend. It's still in my priorities. However since I'll be connected to the royal family by marriage, their resources will become mine, making the jewel easier to find!"

"Which brings me to my next point. In order to catch the prince's eye, my daughters must be dressed in their finest. No expense spared! You, Marcel," He directed his attention to the vampire, "will make sure Katherine and Caroline look their best by any means necessary."

He turned his head towards Jackson next, whom he spied giving a teasing smirk to Marcel before looking back to Kol. "Jackson will be attending to my needs. Everything is to be perfect, gentlemen, in order for my plan to succeed!"

Both werewolf and the vampire commanders felt a sudden chill enter the study as their master leveled them with a glare, informing them he wasn't quite finished yet. "If," Kol hissed, his eyes flickering from one man to the other, "If this plan should fail, rest assured I'll find your replacements because you'll both be dead. Though I'd hate to waste my compulsion. Understood?"

Whether it was the chill in the air or the cold brown eyes making them feel goosebumps, they would never know. As far as Marcel and Jackson were concerned, Kol's threat was very real so it was best to agree and do whatever he commanded to stay on his good side. They certainly didn't want to end up like Mason.

"Excellent." Kol clapped his hands together before taking the letter and arising from his chair. Marcel and Jackson immediately bowed, lifting their heads to observe their master make his way to the doors of the study. "Now, you both are dismissed. Remember what the plan is, for tomorrow we begin!"

Without another word, the doors opened where Kol went to his bedroom. After he entered, they closed behind him, leaving Jackson and Marcel in the sitting room.

Turning to slap the broad-shouldered man on the back, Marcel grinned showing his pearly white teeth. "Well that wasn't so bad. I dare say it couldn't have gone any better."

His optimism was met by Jackson's stony expression and a growl as he simply brushed past the shorter man out the doors. Watching him walk away, Marcel sighed while scratching his head, his eyes meeting the flames in the fireplace.

Here's hoping Kol and Jackson were in higher spirits tomorrow. Although his head hadn't been removed from his body, Lexi and Bonnie weren't going to be so fortunate. He suspected Katherine fibbed to her father about what happened, blaming anything and everything on the two servants.

Then again, fate does have a way of working out for the better, he supposed.

Well, that was Chapter 8. I promise Chapter 9 is going to be way more exciting! There's gonna be more Bonnie and Lexi I assure you! I just felt like Kol and Katherine needed a chance at the spotlight and the infamous letter as well. Also I needed to flesh out the relationships between Marcel and Jackson.

But anyways, if you're enjoying this, read and review and I shall be back with another chapter! Toodelloo!
