MXC: Disney vs. Cartoon Network vs. Nickelodeon
Rated K+
Summary: Three of the post popular cartoon-centered brands engage in a battle of legendary proportions as they compete in the toughest competition in town! Who'll be the last brand standing? We'll find out on MXC, Most Extreme Elimination Challenge!
Disclaimer: I do not own anything associated with Disney, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon or the show MXC, also known as Most Extreme Elimination Challenge. MXC and the rest of the characters is owned by Paramount Network (aka Spike TV), and that's all you need to know. Since I got back to binging on more MXC on TubiTV, I'd figured why not write up a big fic featuring characters from both Disney, Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon shows, mostly cartoons in which they're competing on MXC? That's what me and The Amazing Ghost Musician are gonna be doing here in this story, so most of the credit goes to my co-writer as well.
P.S.: This will be set in an AU in which Fox and Disney both own MXC, hencewhy this is gonna be a bit of a family-friendly approach. I understand why people are a bit turned off by MXC feeling more like PG-rated WWE without Kenny's dirty jokes and Guy LeDouche himself, but it's not my idea. The Amazing Ghost Musician actually thought of an alternate universe where Fox and Disney end up owning MXC. That's only the MXC fic we do together whereas my MXC fics will be written like the show without all that family friendly crap with Kenny's dirty jokes and Guy LeDouche included. I hope that can help clarify things here. Anyway, sit back and enjoy!
Chapter 6: Pole Riders
Get ready to hang on tight! MXC is back once again for the classic battle between Disney, Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon! Talk about a grudge match.
Once the announcer was busy finishing up his after-break intro, the camera transitioned over to the studio where Vic and Kenny (who was wearing what seemed to be fitness gear that included an orange tank top, black yoga pants and white socks) were still standing next to Ed and Rolf from Ed, Edd n Eddy. Rolf of course wasn't alone though as he also had an old milk jug he held in his hands.
"Hello and welcome back to MXC," Vic said to the camera before asking Ken, "Kenny, you look very fit for what's finally coming up next."
Kenny shrugged before asking Vic, "Yep, might as well get this dance over with and all." He then turned to Rolf and said, "So what's with this That's My Horse dance?"
"Ah, it is a dance from my old country." Rolf smirked to Kenny before replying, "We've always performed it at weddings, bar mitzvahs, picnics, even holidays if my ancestors and countrymen feel like it."
"I see," Kenny nodded, "Oh well, let's get this party started then."
It wasn't long before Rolf started to blow on the milk jug, therefore starting the folk song right away which resulted in Ed dancing to the beat feet-to-feet.
Kenny looked at Ed right away and smirked, "Heh, you look like a weeble-wobble."
"THAT'S MY HORSE!" Ed yelled out before punching Kenny right in the gut.
"OWW!" Kenny yelped in pain. He then shook it off before asking Ed, "What the heck did you do that for?"
"THAT'S MY HORSE!" Ed shouted once more.
Before Kenny could at least say anything though, he was cut off by Ed, who smacked Ken head-first with a wooden chair. The impact was so strong that it left Ken looking a little disoriented as a result.
"Hey Vic, he's beating the crud out of me!" Kenny said, coughing in pain in front of Vic, "I thought we were dancing!"
"Um Ken, this is actually part of the dance." Vic replied to Kenny, who right now was begging for help.
"Aw, come on!" Kenny groaned before he saw Ed approach him, "Wait, please, no more!"
"THAT'S MY HORSE!" Ed shouted again.
Kenny attempted to beg some more, but it only resulted in Ed smacking towards Kenny's face with a rubber chicken! Once again, it got Kenny disoriented as usual, which made him wobble all around.
"Oh, that's gonna leave a mark!" Vic winced in fear.
Kenny was feeling dizzy yet again, but it would prove to be worse as he found himself bumping right into Rolf, who turned to Kenny with a smile.
"THAT'S MY HORSE!" Rolf said, shouting to Ken as he smacked him upside the back of his head.
The hit proved to be so strong that it sent Kenny tumbling right to the edge of the stage. Kenny attempted to stop himself, but would prove to be too late as he fell off of the stage and crashed towards a row of tables, knocking him unconscious.
"Kenny?" Vic gasped before shouting, "My goodness, Kenny, are you okay?!"
Feeling very warped and disoriented still, Kenny leaned up in pain as he said with a mumble, "This… this dancing sucks, Vic..."
"Sorry to hear that, Ken." Vic shook his head.
"Looks like Kenny-boy is getting the hang of this, would you?" Rolf said to Vic.
Vic then rolled his eyes before saying, "Sadly, I don't agree."
With Vic shaking his head though, the scene then transitioned to an animated graphic showing the next event, Pole Riders. This of course led Vic to explain the rules as usual.
"Well, while Kenny's trying to recover the best he can, let's go down to Pole Riders!" Vic exclaimed, "This is the game where our contestants must use their pole to make it one way to the other without getting wet."
"Stay dry good… get wet… b-bad…" Kenny said in a painful disoriented mood.
"Right you are, Ken!" Vic nodded, "Captain, you know what to do."
Once the animated graphic was over, the camera then switched over to a tall open platform where the Captain was standing with his sword swinging tall.
He then blew on the whistle before saying, "GET IT ON!"
As the Captain was finished saying his catchphrase as usual, the first contestant who came to the plate was shown wearing a green trucker hat, green shirt, brown jacket, gray jeans and webbed black boots and just happened to be a humanoid pelican.
"I crashed into some Frenchman's house!" Launchpad exclaimed.
"First up representing Disney, it's Launchpad McQuack from both DuckTales and Darkwing Duck!" Vic explained, "He considers himself to be a top-notch pilot."
"Yeah, Launchpad is very known to be the muscle of the Duck Family bloodline." Kenny nodded.
"Right you are, Ken!" Vic nodded back.
Before Vic could speak once again though, Launchpad took off on his pole, only for his groin to hit the hard end of the pole, knocking him down into the water!
"Ohhhh, good lord, that was horrendous!" Vic shrieked in horror.
"I would comment on how painful that was, Vic." Kenny nodded right away before saying, "But even that would be too much on a family show!"
"That's a very good point, Ken!" Vic replied, "Fortunately enough, that deserves to be our MXC Impact Replay!"
As Launchpad held onto his "little man" in excruciating pain, the MXC Impact Replay started to play out in its entirety, mostly focusing on the part where Launchpad hit his groin on the pole and fell into the water.
"While we're at it, Ken, why don't you tell us about our special fluid?" Vic said to Kenny.
"Nothing but a combination of icy blue Gatorade mixed with some sweat sock juice from Lynn Loud Jr's shoes." Kenny replied, "I don't know what was worse, hitting himself on the pole or swallowing some of that stinky shoe fluid."
"Well, either way Ken, it's not a pretty sight." Vic shook his head.
Before they could go to the next contestant though, Kenny suddenly replied, "Hold up, did Launchpad really say he crashed into a Frenchman's house?"
"I think he did, and I think we may already know who it is," Vic muttered, "Unfortunately, we can't even mention his name on this show anymore, let alone say it due to standards."
"I really hope that wasn't a R-word joke." Kenny said, shaking his head in regret.
"That would be awful!" Vic sighed.
After the replay was over, the camera finally turned it over to the next contestant, who just happened to be short, had a black bowl cut and green dress with a black stripe attached all around it.
"I found a dollar lying on the street!" Buttercup shouted out before grabbing the pole.
"And first up for the Cartoon Network Team, Buttercup from the PowerPuff Girls!" Vic exclaimed.
"Isn't she that one PowerPuff Girl with a hot temper?" Kenny asked.
Vic nodded before saying, "Yes, and not to mention she's also the tough one of the group."
It wasn't long before Buttercup took off with her pole, which forced her to fly past the platform and fall down into the fluid, eliminating her from the contest entirely!
"Oh, and Buttercup almost had it there, Ken!" Vic quickly pointed out.
"I think she might have overdone it, Vic!" Kenny said, gulping in fear.
"I think you might be right!" Vic replied.
As Buttercup emerged from the fluid however, she started to throw an aggressive tantrum as a result, even going so far to pound her fists into the water very violently as a way to take her loss.
"Oh man, I have a bad feeling she's not gonna be happy about that loss." Kenny shook his head.
"No question there, Ken!" Vic nodded, "We better turn the camera away before this gets any worse."
Fortunately before Buttercup could take her temper tantrum any further though, the camera turned up towards the next contestant who had curly short purple hair, pinkish-purple shirt with a gold rocket labeled on it, green camo pants and red shoes.
"Stay out of my room, Rocket Boy!" Reggie shouted out before grabbing the pole.
"And first up for the Nickelodeon Team representing Rocket Power is Reggie Rocket!" Vic replied, "She of course is the taller sister of Otto."
"Her hair looks like a koosh-ball, Vic." Kenny said, pointing up to her hair.
"Nice remark there, Ken!" Vic replied.
Kenny then nodded out by saying, "Reminds me of that one girl from Fire Emblem Three Houses, though."
"Indeed!" Vic nodded.
However, as Reggie took right off with her pole, the pole immediately snapped in half, forcing Reggie to fall right into the fluid while taking half of the pole with her!
"Wait, the pole broke, Vic!" Kenny pointed out.
"Oh my goodness, Reggie might have snuffed that one, Ken!" Vic said, also pointed out as well.
"What the heck?" Kenny gasped, "I thought the poles we had were made out of bamboo!"
"Apparently, I think she got one of the wooden poles instead!" Vic replied out of disappointment, "That definitely won't look good for Reggie now. Let's go down to Soos who's with her right now."
While Reggie found herself pouting in defeat, the camera switched over to an open field where she was standing next to Soos.
"That didn't go well for you, I suppose." Soos said, shaking his head in disappointment.
"Are you kidding me?" Reggie said to Soos before saying, "That was way worse when my brother tried to ride his bmx over the station wagon, and one of those wheels came off and hit me in the head!"
"I bet that must've hurt." Soos cringed in pain.
"Yeah, so did the impact Otto took when he landed on his face, which knocked him out and gave him a serious concussion." Reggie nodded, "My dad had to rush him to the hospital, he ended up losing some of his memory and could barely stand up straight. My dad is worried that Otto might end up falling down the stairs, since he can't really think straight. Which I believe was the reason why he failed in the Mud Butlers challenge earlier."
"Ouch, give your brother my best wishes." Soos nodded back.
Once that interview came to an end though, the camera shifted back to the upper platform where the next contestant was shown wearing a short while shirt with green sleeves, short blue shorts, a necklace resembling a seashell white athletic socks with sneakers and decked out in medium white hair with a teal streak.
"Party on!" Jackie shouted before grabbing the pole.
"And here's up next for team Disney, Jackie Lynn Thomas!" Vic pointed out before replying, "She of course is one of Star Butterfly's closest friends, and Marco's ex-crush from Star vs. The Forces of Evil."
"She's also that girl that Marco had a crush on since they were in elementary school together." Kenny pointed out.
"Right you are, Ken!" Vic nodded to Kenny before muttering, "Even though I kinda pointed it out when I introduced her…"
"Just wanted to let everyone know, Vic, just in case if they didn't see the show before." Kenny replied.
"Ah, that's a really good point, Ken!" Vic said.
With the help of the pole she was riding on, Jackie managed to fly all the way down on the platform, hitting her own two feet on the padding which clinched her another score for the Disney team.
"And Team Disney scores yet again!" Vic exclaimed.
"It's a shame Marco's not with her anymore, because she's flippin' talented, Vic!"
Vic nodded before saying, "Well, either way you look at it, Jackie's run helps keep Team Disney on top!"
While Jackie raised her arms in victory however, the camera quickly shifted up to the next contestant, who was wearing a familiar black beanie cap on his head, red-orange t-shirt, purple jean shorts, red socks and sneakers.
"Ed dropped my ants again!" Double D shouted.
"And coming up to the pole next for the Cartoon Network team, it's Edd aka Double D from Ed, Edd n Eddy." Vic pointed out, "He's considered to be the brainiac of the three Ed boys."
"Yeah, too bad nobody takes him seriously when Double D is busy using his ideas." Kenny replied.
"It's a definitely curse, Ken!" Vic nodded.
Right as Double D took off though, the pole Edd was riding on somehow got stuck on impact, forcing Edd to hang on helplessly in the air.
"Whoa, what happened?" Kenny said, gasping in shock.
"I have no idea, Ken!" Vic shrugged, "But apparently, I think Edd's pole seems to be stuck for some reason! It's like the pole's refusing to get him down the platform!"
"Wasn't the fluid made to at least make sure the contestants got to the platform safely?" Kenny replied yet again.
"You're guess is as good as mine, Ken!" Vic shrugged once more.
Edd tried his best to wiggle the pole so that it could make the brainiac come down to the platform, but as he did however, the pole immediately sent Edd backwards back to the opening platform to the point where his back and shoulders got smashed on the edge of the platform, and falling helplessly into the fluid in the process.
"HE'S GOING THE WRONG WAY!" Kenny shouted, "OH GOD, THERE'S NO PADDING ON THAT PLATFORM! OH MY GOD THAT IS HORRIFYING!"
"DEAR LORD, HE MAY BE BROKEN, KEN!" Vic shrieked in horror as well, "I SWEAR, YOU HATE TO SEE AN ACCIDENT LIKE THIS HAPPEN!"
"I don't know about you, Vic, but I need to make this our MXC Impact Replay!" Kenny nodded in panic.
As Edd painfully, yet barely managed to exit out the fluid in pain, the MXC Impact Replay started to play out showing the part where Double D fell backwards and broke his back and shoulders on the edge of the opening platform before falling all the way down in the fluid.
"That's a good point!" Vic agreed, "As you can see, Double D's pole got stuck in the middle of the water and because of Edd flailing around back and forth, forced him to crash-land on the platform that he took off from?
"I wonder if he's gonna have to hire a chiropractor after this?" Kenny said, raising an eyebrow.
"He might have to after that horrible setback!" Vic nodded as he agreed with his partner.
"We've gotta talk to the network about incidents like this after the show." Kenny stated.
After the replay finally came to an end however, the camera switched back to the next contestant, who was shown wearing a green-striped tank top, brown jeans, white sneakers and possessed a long blonde ponytail on the back of her head.
"I don't care what anyone says, I don't sound like a squirrel!" Cindy shouted out before grabbing the pole.
"And next up for the Nickelodeon team representing Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, Cindy Vortex!" Vic exclaimed. "She for the remainder of the series considers herself to be the frenemy of Jimmy Neutron himself."
Kenny smirked before saying, "You know what, Vic? She does sound like a squirrel."
"Normally I'd smack you for that remark, but I will agree that she does sound like Sandy Cheeks." Vic replied.
Cindy immediately took off right away with her pole, only for her to slide down the pole, landing back-first right into the fluid and eliminating her.
"I bet she gets wet like Sandy Cheeks too." Kenny smirked out yet again.
"I bet she does, Ken, and she's down into the fluid!" Kenny nodded.
As Cindy emerged from the fluid however, the camera wasted no time turning over to the next contestant who had a short stature, blonde flattop with grayish-green glasses, light green shirt, dark green slacks, white socks and brown dress shoes.
"I drink green tea!" Gus shouted out loud as he grabbed the pole.
"And next up for Disney, it's Gus Griswald representing Disney's Recess!" Vic pointed out, "And believe this or not Ken, not also does he come from a military family but he is very skilled at dodgeball."
"Is that so?" Kenny raised his eyebrow before saying with a smirk, "If that's the case I'd put him on my team anyday."
"Wait a minute, you have a dodgeball team, Ken?" Vic said to Kenny, raising an eyebrow himself.
"Well not really, Vic!" Kenny replied, "But if I did, I would totally pick him."
"Ah, well that's disappointing." Vic muttered in disappointment.
As Gus took off on his pole though, he ended up overshooting his mark, which forced Gus to hit his back and flip himself over on the green padding, sending him over the drink.
"Oh, and Gus gets a taste of that sock-flavored Gatorade!" Vic exclaimed.
"That really sucks, Vic!" Kenny groaned, "Whatever good Gus does in dodgeball, sadly it can't justify for that fall!"
"It certainly doesn't, Ken!" Vic shook his head before replying, "Let's take another look at that run here."
While Gus emerged from the fluid looking disappointed, the replay of his run started to play out showing the part where Gus hit his back on the green padding and falling down on the fluid.
"You see right here, Ken, he immediately overshot the platform and as a result ended up in the drink!" Vic pointed out.
"Yeah, he's gonna drop and give himself 50 for that fail." Kenny pointed out as well.
"No doubt there, Ken!" Vic nodded.
After the replay was over and done with, the camera turned it around to the next contestant who had spiky-slicked back blonde hair, tight black shirt, blue jeans, black shoes and a muscular ripped figure.
"Do the monkey with me!" Johnny shouted as he grabbed the pole with his hands.
"And next up for the Cartoon Network Team, Johnny Bravo!" Vic exclaimed, "He fancies himself a ladies man, even though he keeps getting rejected by him."
Kenny then replied with a nod, "Oh, that reminds me, Vic. I gotta do something…"
As Johnny Bravo took off with his pole however, he was immediately cut off with a shout from Ken:
"Hey Johnny look, it's Jennifer Love Hewitt!"
"Huh, where?" Johnny said as he suddenly let go of the pole and looked to the right.
However, that resulted in the empty-headed muscleman falling right into the fluid, forcing Kenny to laugh boisterously at Johnny Bravo's huge elimination.
"Hahahahahaha, did you see that, Vic?" Kenny said smirking to his partner, "He fell for it!"
"Kenny, did you do that on purpose?!" Vic replied, smacking Kenny with the fan.
"Yeah, I totally did." Kenny nodded, still smirking his butt off. "That worked so well."
"Ugh… You are so gonna get it from the network!" Vic said, smacking Kenny yet again.
As Kenny continued to laugh at Johnny's pain, the muscleman with sunglasses popped up from the fluid and wandered his head around helplessly with a groan.
"That's not fair man, I don't see Jennifer anywhere!" Johnny complained to the camera.
While Johnny continued to leave the fluid in pure disappointment, the camera moved over to the last contestant which just happened to be a teal-colored squid wearing a tanned t-shirt and possessed a huge honker of a nose.
"I don't wanna do this…" Squidward replied depressingly before grabbing the pole.
"And last up for the Nickelodeon Team, representing Spongebob Squarepants is his neighbor and annoyed malcontent, Squidward Tentacles!" Vic exclaimed, "Squidward, of course, considers himself to be an excellent clarinet player."
"Yeah, I find that to be BS, Vic." Kenny replied, "He doesn't have any talent since his painting and sculpting sucks eggs, his dance moves are awful and he can't play the clarinet right!"
"Well, who knows, Ken?" Vic shrugged before saying, "Maybe he may be good at pole riding."
Once Squidward took off with his pole, his body swung over to the side which forced Squidward to let go of the pole and flip his body over, forcing him to land on the green padding with his head and neck and falling onto the fluid!
"OH GOD!" Kenny shrieked, "He landed on his neck, Vic!"
"I agree, you hate to see a landing so painful like that!" Vic nodded, hissing in agony.
"And you said he might be good at this, Vic!" Kenny pointed out.
"Point taken Ken!" Vic said, rolling his eyes, "But I can admit that this deserves to be another MXC Impact Replay!"
As Squidward laid motionless around the fluid, the MXC Impact Replay was shown once again focusing on the part where Squidward landed right on his neck upon the green padding before falling down right into the fluid.
"I swear, I'm gonna get nightmares watching this over and over again in my brain." Kenny said, shuddering in total fear.
"I agree whole-heartedly, Ken." Vic nodded, "But on the bright side, that painful memory can replace the one where Squidward imagined his cousin in his underwear."
"Yeah, that's true." Kenny nodded as the painful replay came to an end.
"Anyway, what a day of pole riding we had here so far and as the score stands out, thanks to Jackie Lynn Thomas the Disney Team continues their dominance with the score of 8-6-1."
After the score finally came to an end however, the camera shifted inside the studio where Kenny and Vic were standing in a kitchen-like setting while standing next to both Doug Funnie and Patti Mayonnaise. They were also standing next to a table filled with pizza ingredients and a vat of banana pudding.
"Hey Vic, what's up with these kids standing next to you?" Kenny said to Vic.
"Well Ken, you mentioned earlier that you don't want to try anything dangerous, right?" Vic replied before gesturing over to both Doug and Patti, "Well, to make things safer for you, we're gonna test out some of our cooking skills with some help from these two wonderful kids standing next to me, Doug Funnie and Patti Mayonnaise from Nickelodeon's Doug."
"Ah, I see." Kenny nodded.
"So right here, we've got Doug and Patti showing us how they make their award winning banana pudding pizza that you've wanted to try out." Vic replied before turning to Doug, "Before we begin after the break, you wanna tell us what caused you to think of the idea."
Doug nodded as he said, "All right guys, we hope you enjoy our special pizza we're making."
Before Doug could go any further though, a dodgeball came flying out of nowhere and decked Kenny upside the head knocking him down in front of Vic, Doug and Patti themselves!
"Whoa, what the heck?!" Patti gasped in surprise.
"Kenny, what happened?!" Vic said, shrieking in front of his partner.
Kenny shook his head before looking up to Vic and said, "I don't know, some wiener chucked a dodgeball at my head!"
"That looked like a dodgeball!" Doug said, picking up the dodgeball. "But who threw it?"
"Hey Blankenship!" Shouted a voice from out of nowhere.
It wasn't long before Vic, Kenny, Doug and Patti turned to the right, revealing the voice to be Johnny Bravo himself. The muscleman looked very P. and ticked off due to the face he was making at the fallen Kenny Blankenship himself.
"That's what you get for costing me the game!" Johnny said, pointing at Ken before leaving the studio entirely and muttering out, "Dang it, I didn't see Jennifer Love Hewitt anywhere…"
"Uh oh!" Doug said with a gulp, "What was that all about?"
Kenny shook himself a little bit more before replying to Doug, "Trust me, you don't want to know. Hey Vic, are my ears starting to leak?"
"Sadly, yes." Vic nodded as the show transitioned over to break.
Hope you got a cup packed with you, because next up on MXC, we'll see if you got the Brass Balls. Comprende, mi bonehead?
I think it's safe to say that Disney may be getting just about close to victory. Can they retain their lead until the next event, or will Cartoon Network finally manage to catch up? Will Nickelodeon still try to pull off a miraculous comeback? Anything can happen here, so make sure you keep tuning in until the next chapter. Don't forget to R&R and leave a feedback if you like. I would definitely appreciate it. Until next time, LET'S GO!
