ACT ONE
The Question
Banging of the door followed by a loud voice shouts "OPEN THE DOOR" from the other side another voice shouts "I AM COMING HOLD ONE SECOND" sounds of a lock unlatching the door opens a gruff bearded man with earbuds in his ears pulls them out "Yes can i help you" a person in a hooded jacket quickly speaks "I need to come in sorry she said you can help" the person rushes in and the man quickly and quietly shut the door and lock not just the lacht of the door but the deadbolt and chain the man turns around and speaks "so who are you and who is she" the man putting a cigarette in his mouth and lights it. the person in the hooded jacket lowers their hood revealing a elven female with a device in her ear linking to her head speaks "sorry im Lady Vain your associate Seal told me you can protect me" the lady shaking as she speaks she hands you a stack of money "its about 5000 critz i want you to help me find my brother and protect me" the bearded man sighs "should of guessed Seal Raar would find the most worst work" the man looks at the lady inhales some of the cigarette "well Decker Miles at your service Ms Vain i just need you to answer me 5 questions" reaching up toward his ears and ping sound in his ear rings and he begins to look around and sees near the door 4 people with 2 on left of the door and 2 on the right looks like they are standard hood thugs decker speaks up "ok first question who is after you" and shoots 5 shots at the door before sliding his jack on as 2 guys kick the door down after hearing the shots and says "YO SOMEONE IS IN THEIR SHOOTING WE NEED THAT WOMEN" as the two get not even a foot in the door Decker shoots their hands off one of the guys falls and screams out "OH GOD MY HAND ITS GONE AAAAHHHH ITS GONE MY GOD IT HURTS" the other guy seems to be buzzed on something that he is trying to shoot a invisible gun in his bloody shot off hand the man laughing "I got you I got you I got you" Decker Sighs and shoots the guy leg off as sirens ring out and he chuckles to himself "Sounds like the VRs are on their way" the other 2 still behind the door run in and grab the other two screaming "YO BRO WE GOT YOUR NUMBER WE WILL GET YOU LATER YOU BETTER WATCH YOUR BACK"
Vain shaking more violently as each action realising she is in distress decker begins speak softly "Ms Vain the question now" Vain speaks "Yes right right the men are group of a gang call Royal Brotherhood they have been following me since i left Roster City my father has been researching a new design of Head jack that is able to retrospect memories and help people like the elder or people who went into comas" Decker Whistles "problerly someone didnt like that but now second question is that the new design on you" Vain nods and speaks "I was in a coma since i was 1500 my father put me in a cryostat machine and has been working on it when I woke up the first person i see is my little brother almost older than me and has been helping me in this new era but when we went into the mansion we heard shots from the research room and my brother told me to find a man called Decker Miles so i spent the past 3 weeks looking for you" Decker sternly and questinly "well that is a big twist and now the 3rd question is what is your brothers name" hearing a ping from his vision seeing 5 men in suits coming up the hallway Vain speaks "Maxium please you need to help me find him and my father" decker shushes her as her tears fall the 5 men in suits knock on the door a man calls out snarky "should of guessed you would be involved Decker you find the worse times" the man walking up and clicks his temple Caller "Its Decker Miles chief what should i do" a minute of waiting "welp men lets move out" the other men walk away as the main man walks toward the door and stops and turns "You get off easy if Seal wasnt their you be in jail or my hopes in solitary"
Decker chuckles "Bolt you got such sweet words you know you would miss me" as they left decker activated his visual ping and sees bolt against the wall "well bolt you leaving" decker laughed as bolt walked away looking back at Vain and sighs "are you alright" patting her back vain begins to speak "Yes I am thank you so do you have anymore questions" as she sighs and closes her eyes decker smiles and speaks softly "not for now i got enough for now" going up to the door and props it up against the frame chuckleing "gang member corporations suits and VRs what else" turning around toward the cupboards and grabs 2 glasses "what do you want to drink and eat your probably thirsty and hungry" vain smiles "do you have orange juice and a hamburger" looking through the fridge "yes i have orange juice and i have lunch peanut butter and jelly" vain chuckles "a person looking like you has peanut butter and jelly" decker chuckles "its my favorite i eat 2 sandwiches befor i go to bed" as Decker make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for both him and vain as he gives vain her sandwich she scrunches up her nose "i dont like the crust" decker laughs "ok your highness ill cut the best part off" as he cuts the crust off vain stick her tongue out "thank you" as she eats her sandwich with a smile "so were am i sleeping"
Decker thinks for a bit and speaks up "well i dont have a bed so ill sleep on the floor and you take the couch" vain nods "why do you not have a bed if i may ask" decker smiles "cant stand the voices when im in a bed" as he gets up and puts his plate in the sink as vain gets up and puts her plate and cup in the sink Vain questionly "what do you mean voices" he closes his eyes "oh its a long story ill tell you some day for now head to bed we will start tomorrow on the search of your brother" still thinking who is maxium and how does he know him as he shrugs it off as vain gets on the couch he gets on the floor and keeps his eyes open before vain falls alseep decker lifts his hand and looks at it in the light "well we will start by seals place and get some information" as the night rolls in it seems a long time till the sun comes out Decker fell asleep and has a nightmare a scene of him running down a hallway before a shot rang out and decker is shot as he keeps going before screaming "I GOT TO LIVE I WILL LIVE I MUST LIVE" before a shot rings out again hitting him again as he drops to the ground he looks at his hands as the blood looks black and starts to form a face before decker can make out the pool of blood he wakes up screaming "I WILL NOT DIE I NEED TO LIVE"
Vain wakes up to the scream startled she grabs a shoe and guards herself from Decker before she says "are you alright" Decker Begins to turn and realise he is scaring Vain and trembles as he speaks "ah sorry just a bad dream" speaking in a lower voice "yes a very bad dream on moment" going to the bathroom and grabs a pill box before opening it he looks at the calender "ugh its monday" filling a small cup and takes the pills and takes a drink before turning around and heads to the room for cloths "i dont have any girl clothes but i have a shirt and pants that might fit you they dont fit me at all" tossing the selection before heading to the back room again and begins to change his outfit Vain narrowing her eyes and still sleepy looks at the shirts and reads one that says "Revenge Is Motivation but at least its honest" she begins to head to the bathroom taking the shirt and the pants closing the door behind her as she starts the water she hears decker call out "Ms Vain are you in the bathroom"
Vain sighs as the shower water hits her body "yes i am taking a shower can we talk when i am done" Decker laughs "ok i will surprise you with breakfast" as Vain hears his footsteps away from the door she sighs and closes her eyes without even noticing she begins to sing "death hold me, please death hold me, i must see, why death does not hold me, please release me, from my means, death hold me, please death hold me" as she sings it Decker hears her voice very peaceful and nice as he thinks of his dream he looks at his stomach were he was shot in his dream "why do i have this dream every day i never got shot when trying to chase the guy" as he cleans the dishes as he listens to her singing Decker hears a knocking sound near the front door out of a daze looks to the left a male voice chimes in "Well they did a number on the door welp Decker how many did you get" decker looks toward the man short old dwarven with a Mohawk and goatee a vest and jeans ontop of being barefooted speaking out "hahaha yeah i got 2 out of the 4 ill pay for damages" the dwarf snickers "its all good the insurance will cover it but i will have to move you to a different room cause of this you think"
Decker hears the bathroom door open and vain in a towel warped around her makes a meep sound "oh mr Miles i didnt realise company was over im sorry i am indecent right now sir" the dwarf whistling and puts the charm on "oh elvin girl its fine I was just checking on my best client" Vain chuckles at the advances "Mr Dwarf i never felt so flatter may i ask your name" as she said that she raises her hand to give a hand shake the dwarf sees it and grabs her hand and kisses it "Madd at your service may i ask your name" as he pulls his hand back and winks at decker as vain laughs "Lady Vain nice to meet you Mr madd" after the introduction Vain pulls her hand back and begins to chuckle as the little dwarf turns around and clicks his tongue "well Decker ill start working on your door just dont break it again" spinning his finger in the air as a whim decker shocked at those words "hahah is it free or i need to pay" Mach looks back "you gave me a nice payment for today so dont complain" walking out the door after about a few minutes of eating Decker gets up dumps the dishes in the sink and begins to grab his coat
"welp lets head to Seals place she needs to fill me in on this shit" vain looking down "im so sorry to be a trouble" decker looks at vain and smiles "no its fine its just a Seal thing" says as decker hands Vain her jacket as they walk out Seal comes running up with a bunch of papers in her arms surprised to see her Decker clicks his tongue "speak of the devil we were going to see you in the office" as Seal slows down she speaks "well i heard what happened last night and the chief isnt happy with you his exact word are" as she makes a growly voice "he had 4 guys on him and he shot only 2 must be getting rusty" decker laughs "sounds like he more mad i didnt take out all 4 or he must be getting nicer with his old age" Vain speaks and hands her hand to Seal "thank you miss Seal if it wasnt for you i would be dead or lost looking for Mr Miles" seal shakes her hand "not at all Ms Wulf its good your family isnt bitter anymore for what had happen to you"
Vain smiles weakly "well my brother only known Mr Miles for what our dad was talking about i was little when i met mr Miles so i dont remember what all had happen" tearing up a little "my brother said mr Miles took 6 shots to the back and one to the head to protect me" she trembles at her words crying "if Mr Miles wasnt at that coffee shop i would be dead" Decker confused and asked Seal sternly "Seal what did you get me into what is she talking about" Decker turns to Vain "your not little Vee are you" Vain nods and Decker face turned from mean to nice "Vee your i know your dad Kain Wulf But you look younger than being 1500 your body shows your about 500 years it's been 500 years since i saw you" Decker Laughs as he speaks "little Vee still older than me wait how can that be im only 20" Vain smiles lightly "i remember my dad told me that what you said to calm me down when i got shot in the spine" Decker started to get mean
"fucking thugs drive by and i only shot the driver if i would of been faster i would of saved you from that" Seal Speaks up with a cough "well Ms Vain is a full blooded and is of elven bloodline so her regeneration is better than your cybernetics decker so the bullet fell out but after that bullet fell out of her spine she went into a coma due to trauma" Vain Nods as Decker face got more and more meaner spitting on the sidewalk "still should of shot all 4 of those thugs they deserve no right in hurting people ever what they got isnt worth much they got out 5 months later cause the other witnesses were bought out or hurt" continuing the rant spitting on the ground again "they all get what they got the other 3 were found about a week after their release and their bodies were cut from the neck to the thoat fucking to good for them" bundling his fist "the morgue said all three of them had died from gang retatliation" spitting once more about to speak but seal overspeaks
"ahem well all that is in the past but yes i understand your anger now" turning to miss vain and holds her hand out giving her a crest of some stort "i am sorry to say this but" vain looks at the crest and begins to cry seal continues "this was found on a thug who was killed by a store owner after a failed attempt of robbing them" her tone changes as she speaks "we are looking for your brothers body but we assume for now he is alive and missing" crying even more and sobbing while she talks "he is dead cause that crest is in his chest its a cybernetic for his heart since he was born with no heartbeat and was dead for 3 days after birth but father had made a cybernetic defibrillator for his heart" decker punching the wall making a good dent into it "ok this shit is getting real anoying fucking what happened" about to punch a nother dent into the wall "fucking explain from the day you woke up" calming down and seeing he is scaring vain as seal speaks up "i will have to fill you in decker but i will send it to your RA scanner" decker patting on vains back and looks at seal with a nod before speaking again
"vain im sorry for getting angry but still we might not find your brother or father alive and you already know this dont you" vain nods and crys even more "i am literally my dads last accomplishment since he been alive after seeing our grandmother go down with memory loss and elven mind hiccup he has always wanted to find a way whether magic based technology he made a lot of people angry all the time" slowing the crying and continues with the explanation "he had on both side tech and magic user didnt like what he been doing and when the royal brotherhood leaders and other corpatrations wanting his tech due to the magic and tech combinations" takes a deep breath before saying "the coffee shop incident was the last time father couldnt just stopped his research"
Speaking in a soft town "and he was targeted on the same time i whent into a coma" speaking almost a whisper "even as my father did it to me" decker quips up and looks wide eyed "what do you mean your father did it" almost snarling at the memory of the event "you mean on purpose to develop the technology" seal nods and says outloud "we as witnesses her father asked the doctor to use neotic surem to put her into a coma so he could work on the tech funned through sympathy and goverment we used the geis of it was due to trauma" speaking softly out of the idea of what she did "when the guys got caught they even said a corporation starting out with leading health development had hired them but nothing could be found other than they were employees that were fired" sighing almost bitter "but after there release they were found dead"
Seal sighs "we kept you out of the loop since you and vain have been close and we knew you wouldnt approved" decker getting angry "hell yeah i wouldnt fucking approved i been blaming myself every fucking day cause of this shit why i left the force why i been working as a fucking piss poor private security and fucking shit hole detective and" balling his fist and hitting a nother dent into the wall" "LIVING IN THIS SHITHOLE OF A CITY FUCKING PISSED AWAY MY OWN WORTH" slowing down about what he said seeing seal and vain feeling bad and cools down and speaks "but i can see it since the son was very small they wouldnt hit him but you being your age they probably kidnap you or kill you to stop your father to work" under his breath "at least there a little honor with the evil in this world" as they walk to the edge of the street a car spins out and launches at them a man screaming out "YOU FUCKER YOU KILLED 2 OF MY MEN WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE" before the car hits them decker shoots the guy in the head speaking out "YOU FUCKERS I DONT HAVE TIME FOR THIS SHIT SO YOU GET A WARNING" as the guy slumps over hitting the steerwheel causing his car to hit a nother car and 3 other guys come out with weapons decker already scanning them he pulls out his cigarette and starts smoking it before spinning his revolver chamber firing 2 rounds at the car "YOU 3 GET 2 FUCKING SHOTS BEFORE I KILL 3 OF YOU" the first guy out of the car comes forward and decker shoots him in the head
"YOU 2 FUCKERS GETS 1 DAMN SHOT BEFORE I SHOOT 2 OF YOU" a nother guy starts charging them as decker shoots him in the head again he says as he shoots the last guy in the shoulder softly and seeing people around him running away from the gun shots motioning seal and vain to stay put inhaling his cigerette and clicks his chamber for cooldown "you get 3 questions counting on your 3 awners i will not shoot you" the man screaming and yelling and spitting at him "YOU SHOT BOTH OF THEM WHY THE FUCK WOULD I TELL YOU ANYTHING YOU PEACE OF SHIT" sticking his cigarette into his hole in the shoulder "now now no need to be hostile just answer me this" before turning his cigarette into his wound pulling it out and spinning it in the mans eye screams "OK I WILL WHAT ARE THE QUESTIONS MAN IT HURTS" decker smiles "thats good ok first question why are you after this girl" he looks at vain and says "she has a high bounty on her" screaming in pain as decker pulling the cigarette out and putting out on his forehead and putting his guns barrel into his wound as it enters his hole it sizzles and steams up "now why is there a bounty" the guy screams out "NO IDEA COME ON IM BLEEDING im just AAGH grunt they dont even tell us THEY TELL US to go after her i just want the money please stop"
almost sobbing as decker start pulling his gun out of his wound decker sticks his finger into the wound and digs into it before he spits on the guy "now if your a grunt why are you using a high end car" the guy begins begging and almost unable to make a sentence he screams out "PLEASE DONT I DONT WANT TO DIE MAN ILL TELL YOU BUT THEY WILL KILL YOU BEFORE YOU EVEN KNOW IT JUST YOU WAIT" decker sighs and activates his rotating hand dagger as the man sees its he screams out "HEY WHATS THIS YOU SAID YOU WOULDNT SHOOT ME WERE IS MERCY " decker smiles and chuckles showing his teeth "YES I SAID I WOULDNT SHOOT YOU BUT I ALSO SAID I WILL KILL ALL 3 OF YOU" almost to the boiling point as he screams at the man while spitting "AND MERCY YOU THINK YOU DESERVE MERCY" digging his blade into the left of his cheek slowly cutting him almost sadistically laughing at the stupidity of the question "WERE IS THIS MERCY WHEN YOU KILL INNOCENT BYSTANDERS WHY SHOW YOU MERCY AT ALL"
as he swipes the guys jaw completely severing it as it bleeds wildly and makeing his body twitches until he dies turning around seeing vain and seal looking at you in horror and as of the scene seal rubs her temples speaking in a almost annoyed tone "was that really necessary" decker looks at vain and shakes his head "no it wasnt but these guys carry a chip under their tongue called bootzee given to higher ranked royal brotherhood members" scanning it with his RA scanner he sees the name what rank and who he is all of his crimes and he notices one is mosaic when talking to 3 guys there face and body looks almost fabricated or memory relapse decker speaks out "how mutch people know about your fathers work" shaking her head vain speaks up "i dont know but i know his computer is always cataloged at our mansion we can go there" decker whistles a little bit as seal speaks up "well that is were we should go back to VRPD to make this offical" decker clicks his tongue and chuckles "all it started with 5 questions now we got a whole conspiracy" almost chuckles at comically irony in it
