I do not own Rosario Vampire. I often reference people, places, and things. I don't own them either.
Author note: This is my second Fan fiction. I had started reading a Rosario Vampire fic and got to thinking; What if Jack was the main character instead if Tsukune? How different would it be? Probably pretty different. Now for future reference my OC Jack Giri may not be the main character in all my fics or be the same age, but he will always have some part or role.
Chapter one: Just a dream.
Jack stood along a long dirt road near the edge of a ravine. At the bottom of the ravine was a body of water that stretched out as far as the eye could see. The cold looking water reflected the strange red looking sky that shimmered in the water's refection. As Jack looked around he saw that everything appeared to be dead. The temperature wasn't cold but everything was dead and cold looking like it would be some time in fall.
"What is this place? Is my life just one nightmare I can't wake up from!?" Jack thought in alarm before letting out a long sigh and running his hand down his face. As he headed down the path to his new home he supposed it really didn't matter. Life was just one unexpected hardship after the next. Jack was what many may have considered to be a rather strange 16 year old American high school student. Jack was an average height skinny teenage boy with shoulder length dark brown hair which was slicked back, and piercing brown hazel eyes who just began to grow facial hair. He wore the uniform of his new school and home. It was a green blazer with a white border around the edge, white shirt, red tie, and tan dress pants. He felt a bit stupid having to wear a uniform but, whatever. He felt he had much bigger things to worry about.
As he walked along the path he whas deep in thought, wondering how his life had turned out and if it was even real. Just than he heard the sound of a bicycle coming up the path behind him. As he turned he saw that he was nearly about to be run over and leapt out the way just in time. Getting back on the path and looking ahead he could see that the person riding the bike that nearly ran him over was a girl with long pink hair. "Pink hair!?" Jack thought in alarm. He then shook his head and figured it must just been dyed that color. "That was rather rude. But what more can you expect from people?" Jack mused out loud as he continued down the path.
Jack than came to what would be his now school and home for the next few years. Yokai Academy. Being an American Jack thought that the name and the fact he would be living here was a bit strange but he figured it was a Japanese thing. Not that he actually understood how he became enrolled at a Japanese type school but whatever. He really didn't understand much of anything other than breathing in and out. His entire life had been a blur that he sometimes couldn't distinguish between dream and memory. Looking at the school it didn't look like a normal school, or even what he imagined a Japanese school would look like. It looked like some strange gothic mansion.
"That's it. I have fallen down Alice's rabbit hole. I'm on crack and I didn't even know it." Jack said out loud as he smacked himself in the face a few times. All of a sudden he heard the footsteps and the voices of people around him and looked around in shock. "Where did all these people come from? I didn't see any of them along the path." Jack thought in alarm as he looked at the people around him. "Oh yea I forgot. Fever dream." Jack thought unamusedly in continuation. Jack than looked and saw what he believed to be the bike that pink haired girl was riding earlier. "So she's part of my fever dream too?" Jack mused out loud in a hushed tone.
Going inside the school looked a bit more like a school. To his surprise there was no creepy butler with a head on a platter and I creepy Quasimodo playing piano inside waiting for him. Looking around at the other student's looked a bet left out. For some reason all the other students seemed to be carrying briefcases and he had a backpack. "Great. Even in my dreams I'm an outcast!" Jack thought with great annoyance.
Jack Soon found his class and took a seat in the back and watched as all the other students poured in. Most of them looked normal with the exception of a somewhat thick very busty girl with short blue hair that was in a purple bow wearing a yellow sweater vest. Jack actually thought she was rather cute. She seemed to sense his eyes and turned to look at him with a rather soft expression before winking at him. Jack raised and lowered his eyebrows but other than that seemed unmoved. He then watched as the girl took a seat and began talking with all the guys around her. Jack groaned quietly to himself as he rolled his eyes. Watching her made him feel disgusted.
After all the students were seated the teacher came in and asked the class to quiet down so she could speak. She was an attractive looking woman with strange blond haired that looked like it had cat ears, wearing glasses. Jack thought she was very pretty, tho a bit strange. Not that he cared since this was a dream.
"Alright class. My name is Miss Neckonome. As you already know this is a monster school. There are no humans here. The goal of tis school is to teach you all how to be able to live in human society and blend in with humans since humans currently rule the earth." Said the teacher. Jack just smiled and laughed to himself. "Oh man I need to go outside and snort some more crack! See what else my imagination comes up with. Jokes on you lady, I'm already human." Jack thought with amusement. "Or am I?" Jack wondered to himself.
The teacher noticed Jack laughed and call him out. "Hey you! What is your name and what is so funny?" Miss Neckonome asked sternly. She was a bit too ditzy and cute for Jack to take her seriously however, even if this wasn't a dream. "Well now is my time to shine. Since this is a dream I can say whatever I want." Thought Jack as he stood up. "Oh nothing beautiful. I just thought that you were so breathtakingly gorgeous that I just had to get your attention. What you doing after school today?" Jack asked in his best alluring tone. Miss Neckonome became very flustered as she turned bright red and looked away timidly. "O-oh… I'm afraid were not allowed to fraternize with the students. But thank you very much." She said timidly.
As Jack sat down he heard many of the students cough, gasp, or talk amongst themselves. "Quiet!" Shouted miss Neckonome, and the students settled down. Jack than noticed as a rather douchey looking dude with light brown hair looked back at him. He looked angered yet impressed at the same time. Jack just blinked at him a few times with crossed arms. The douchey looking dude than looked at the teacher as he raised his hand and asked a question. "Teacher. Wouldn't it be better if we just ate all the humans? Asked the douchey dude. "Oh great, a psychopath. Oh wait… Their all monsters so they all want to eat me. Including the hot teacher. Tho that I don't think id mind." Jack mused to himself.
"What's your name?" Asked miss Neckonome. "Saizo." He said. "Well Saizo that would be a bit hard since there are a lot more humans than there are monsters. Besides not all monsters eat humans." Replied Miss Neckonome. "So there are friendly monsters? That's good to know." Thought Jack. "What would happen if a human managed to get into our world?" Asked Saizo. "Well Saizo that's impossible. The magic barrier makes it impossible for humans to travel to our world. And even if somehow one managed to get in, they would be killed on sight." Replied Miss Neckonome. "Jokes on you. Your barrier is crap! I'm right here." Jack thought with great amusement.
Just than the door opened and someone stepped in. Jack looked and saw a girl with long pink hair and green eyes step into the classroom. Jack noticed she had some sort of a large cross on a long chain attached to a choker around her neck. "That's that psycho bitch from earlier who tried to kill me." Jack thought with amusement. "Sorry I'm late." The girl said in a soft cute voice. The sound of her voice made Jack cringe. It was very annoying sounding to him.
"What's your name?" Asked Miss Necknome. "My name is Moka Akashiya." Said the pink haired girl.
"At least she has a cool name." Thought Jack. "Just take a seat anywhere." Said Miss Neckonome. Jack watched as the pink haired girl sat next to the Douchey dude. Jack saw that he tried to talk to her but she didn't really seem interested in talking to him and Jack couldn't blame her.
After school Jack sat on a bench drinking some strange Japanese soda that he got from a nearby vending machine. "Mmm. Tastes like octopus tentacle." Jack said with amusement as he looked at the can. He then sighed and hunched over. "I wonder how long this strange dream is going to go on for. Oh well, I guess I might as well make the most of it." Jack thought to himself. Jack than heard a scream coming from nearby. It sounded like that pink haired girl. Jack got up as he threw his backpack over his shoulder and took off for the sound of the scream.
He then stopped when he saw that douchey dude had the pink haired girl by the wrist and was clearly hurting her. "No Saizo, your hurting me!" She said before screaming again. There was a crowd gathered but they all looked too scared to do anything. Hearing her scream and seeing that he was hurting her enraged Jack as he began to growl and his face became like that of a hungry lion. Yea she may have nearly hit him with her bike and didn't even bother to say sorry but Jack wasn't the type to hold grudges.
Jack ran forward and drop kicked Saizo, causing him to skid across the ground a few feet. " Hey jackass! What the fuck do you think you're doing!?" Jack roared out. Saizo sat up and looked at Jack a bit shocked, as if no one had ever dared to hit him before. "Hey! Your that guy who was flirting with the teacher!" Saizo shouted as he pointed at Jack. "Yea, I was flirting. What do you call this? If you call that flirting you have some really bad people skills buddy!" Jack said in a warning tone. "I can see I'm going to have to teach you who's in charge around here!" Shouted Saizo as he got up. "Hold on, let me finish my drink first." Jack said hastily as he placed a finger up and downed his soda. Once done Jack crushed the can and through it at Saizo, hitting him in the head.
The can bounced off Saizo's head as he growled and charged at Jack with his fist. Saizo went to swing but Jack stepped out the way and Kicked him in the stomach than through him on the ground. He got up and charged Jack again as he lunged for his neck but Jack stepped out the way again and caught Saizo's arm then kicked him in the back of the knee, making him fall. Saizo roared as he got up. "Enough games!" Saizo aid as his voice became deep and evil sounding. A long tongue came out his mouth and lunged at Jack. Jack ran towards him and caught this tongue and wrapped it around his neck. "OOOh boy what's that tongue do?" Jack asked in a mocking sarcastic tone as he strangled Saizo with his own tongue.
"A-a –alright. –I-I- Gi-give up!" Saizo coughed out before Jack let him go. As Jack let him go Saizo laid on the ground gasping for air as Jack watched him closely. Saizo got up holding his throat as he glared at Jack. "this aint over. I'll get you!" Saizo coughed out. "You dumb ass. You said you gave up." Jack said defiantly as he through his hands. Saizo than stumbled away as Jack turned to Moka. "Wow that was amazing! Everyone was too scared to stand up to Saizo, but not you! Your my hero!" Moka declared with joy as she through her hands up than went to hug Jack but she was denied when Jack stopped her by placing a hand on her face and gently pushing her away. "Whoa, slow down there. As I remember your that pink thing that nearly hit me with her bike this morning." Jack said with minor irritation. "Pink thing?" Moka asked indignantly as she deadpanned. She than remembered he said something else. "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry. I didn't know that was you!" Moka pleaded. Jack just looked down at her like he was bored as he crossed his arms. "Yea, feel a little bit silly now getting saved by the guy you tried to kill, don't ya?" Jack said in a tone that Moka couldn't tell if he was joking or he was serious.
"I'm sorry, please let me explain!" Moka pleaded. Jack looked at her with a smirk. He really was having too much fun messing with her. Jack saw that she looked like she was about to cry as she looked up at him and he felt really bed. "Alright, alright. Go ahead." Jack said. "Yay!" Moka said as she cheered up. Jack deadpanned. He thought this girl was really weird but then he remembered this was a dream. "You see I'm a Vampire. And I haven't had blood in a while so I've been feeling really weak lately, and I was starting to black out and really couldn't control where I was going." Moka explained in a sweet tone. "Oh is that so?" Jack asked in a blank tone as he looked down at her. Moka nodded slowly as she looked down.
Jack wasn't sure why but he felt really bad for her. It was just a dream and she wasn't real but he still felt bad. But he figured if this was a dream than what was the hurt in giving her a little blood? Jack put his arm out in front of her as he showed her his wrist. She looked up at him a bit confused. "Go on." Jack said softly. "Y-your giving me your blood?" Moka asked softly as she looked up at him. Jack nodded slowly with a smile. Moka's smile grew wide as her face lit up with pure joy. "Oh thank you so much!" Moka said joyfully as she jumped on him, wrapping her arms and legs around his body as she bit into his neck. "Ahh what are you doing! I gave you my wrist not my neck!" Shouted Jack. Moka didn't hear him. She was in pure bliss.
Moka held onto Jack for about 30 seconds before letting go of him and hopping off. "That was amazing! I think I could get addicted!" Moka said in a dreamy tone in pure bliss with stars in her eyes. Jack rubbed his neck. It wasn't bleeding and it didn't hurt. There was only a pink lipstick mark where she had bit him. "Hey settle down there. Let's not go planning the wedding just yet. I don't even know your name." Jack said sarcastically as he looked at her with a smirk. "Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! My name is Moka Akashiya. And you are?" Moka said as she snapped out of her daze. Jack looked at her blankly as he blinked a few times. "Jack Giri." Jack said. "Funny name." Said Moka. "Oh yea? Well you too." Jack said indignantly.
"I'm sorry I'm afraid I don't have very good people skills ok?" Moka said indignantly as she crossed her arms and looked away with a pout. "Huh? Why not?" Jack asked sounding a bit confused. Moka sighed and turned back to him as she frowned and looked down. "I don't really have any friends and haven't had the chance to build those skills ok? Most people are scared of vampires." Moka said softly. "Scared? Of a cute little pink thing like you?" Jack asked with surprised. Moka looked at him with an indignant scowl and pout.
"I haven't always looked like this you know." Moaka said indignantly. Jack gasped and placed a hand over his moth. "You use to be a boy?" Jack asked sarcastically. "No!" Shouted Moka. "Hey, it's ok. I'm not judging you if you were." Jack joked. "I have always been a girl you jerk!" Moka huffed as she stomped her foot. Jack laughed. "Alright, alright, I'm sorry. I was just playing." Jack told her as he wiped a tear from his eye. Moka pouted as she crossed her arms. "Now listen. See this rosary?" Moka asked as she showed Jack the large, strange looking cross around her neck. "Yea." Jack said with a nod. "Well it's not just any cross." Said Moka.
"Clearly. I mean look at it. It's so weird." Said Jack. Moka growled lightly. "Listen! This rosary is a magic seal that locks away my true form and the rougher and more offensive parts of my personality as well as my powers." Moka told him hastily so he wouldn't have a chance to interrupt again. Jack just looked at her dumbfoundedly. "What? That's so stupid. Never change yourself so people will like you. If people don't like you for who you are than you don't need them!" Said jack earnestly. Moka pouted and turned away. "Hmph. Easy for you to say." Said Moka. She appreciated what he was saying but in her experience it didn't really help.
Jack sighed. "I know how you feel. I never had any friends either. Parents never loved me either. So they sent me here." Jack said somberly as he looked away. Or at least that's what he thought. For all he knew his whole life might have been a dream. Moka turned around to look at him as she sighed and relaxed her arms as she looked down. "So you know what it feels like?" Moka said with a sigh. "Yea. I mean, you obviously know I'm a jerk." Said Jack. "What? That's not true! You saved me when no one else would! You even offered me your own blood!" Moka shouted. Jack chuckled. "That's nice of you to say. Still doesn't mean I'm not a jerk tho. A little mentally unhinged perhaps." Jack joked.
Moka deadpanned as her right eye twitched a little. "Right…" Moka said somewhat nervously before clearing her throat. "So what kind of monster are you?" Asked Moka. "Oh I'm an imaginary monster. "I'm not even real." Jack said sarcastically. "Heh… Ok…?" Moka said nervously. "Unreal is right." Moka thought to herself. There was than an awkward silence as Moka looked around awkwardly. Jack just looked away, not seeming to care. "So um… You want to be friends?" Moka finally asked a bit nervously. "Sure, why not?" Jack said nonchalantly as he rolled his shoulders.
"Great!" Moka said with a smile. Jack looked and saw that the sun was starting to go down. "Well I'll see you tomorrow." Jack sad as he looked at her before turning to walk away. "Wait. Where are you going?" Moka asked sadly as she reached a hand out to him. Jack than looked back at her seeing the sad look on her face and he frowned. "The sun is starting to go down. And I still got to get settled into my dorm." Jack told her. "Oh. Oh right, I forgot. I'm a vampire, so some times I forget most people have a different sleep schedules than me." Said Moka, feeling a bit stupid. "Do you ever sleep?" Jack asked. "Yea, but vampires need a lot less sleep than most other monsters, so I can go a few days without sleeping." Said Moka. "Oh that's pretty cool. Well after I get settled in I might not go to bed right away." Said Jack. "Oh… Great! If you want to hang out or something I think I'll be exploring the woods." Moka said cheerfully with a big smile.
"That's cool. I'll probably come find you. Then maybe you can show me that scary vampire form. Boo haha!" Jack said joking. Moka looked at him a bit nervously. "I don't know… I don't want to scare you." Moka said a bit worried. Jack laughed. "Doubt it. This is just a dream anyways." Said Jack. "A what?" Moka looked at him like he was crazy. "Oh nothing. I'll see you later Moka." Jack said with a smile and waved as he walked off. "Ok bye!" Moka said joyfully with a smile as he walked away. "Maybe he is crazy. Oh well. My first friend!" Moka said joyfully to herself.
Back at the boy's dorm Jack looked around his tiny apartment room. It had a small two person couch near the door. On the right wall was a window and a desk. On the left wall was a small kitchen with a sink, two burner stove, small oven, and a mini fridge. On the far wall was a closet. He looked around but there was no bed. After a bit of confusion he remembered this was a Japanese style place and the Japanese sleep on the floor. Which suited him just fine. All in all he liked it a lot better than his room back home. At least here he was alone with no one to bother him. He didn't have to be around anyone he didn't want to. Speaking of which, he remembered Moka. She was probably waiting for him. Jack wondered why he even considered going to look for her. She wasn't really his type. She was a little too cutesy and annoying. Plus the sound of her voice really irritated him. But he had to admit she was nice enough and she smelled really good.
Jack left the dorms and went into the woods near the school where had last seen Moka. If this place was creepy during the day it looked like something from a horror movie at night. Walking around Jack looked around as he waited for something to jump out at him, luckily nothing did. Jack than jumped into a fighting stance as he heard a scream. He recognized it as Moka's scream. Jack took off running as fast as he could in the direction of the scream, fearful that he knew what he would find. As he arrived at the location he found exactly what he thought he would.
An intense rage overtook Jack was he saw Saizo with Moka pinned against a tree as he was ripping her clothes off. Jack roared in a low predatory roar as he ran full force with his fist right into Saizo's face, sending him flying back and skidding across the dirt. "You really didn't learn your lesion you piece of shit!? Well now you have gone too far! There is no return from this." Jack growled in a low tone, much lower than even his normal tone with a face twisted in pure rage and eyes witch guaranteed death. If Saizo wasn't so cocky he probably would have ran. Jack's rage and energy gave even the dangerous vampire within Moka a shiver. Jack began to circle Saizo like a pack of wolves just before the kill as he got up laughing. "You think a runt like you has a chance against me!?" Saizo roared as he transformed, causing his clothes to rip. Saizo's body grew to about 8 feet of rippling muscle with spikes on his shoulders and his mouth filled with 3 inch long razor sharp teeth. "What do you think now runt?" Saizo taunted.
Jack's glare only harden as he seemed to become even more enraged. He charged at Saizo with lightning speed, punching him right in the stomach with enough force for his feet to actually skid about an inch across the dirt as he hunched over in surprise from the force of the impact. Jack than kicked him in the ankle with his steel toe boot making Saizo lift his foot off the ground on simple reaction. Jack than kicked him full force in the side of his knee, causing his leg to buckle and for him to fall forward. With Saizo knelt on the ground Jack punched him full force in the side of his face making Saizo's face torn to the side, but nothing more.
As Saizo looked at Jack and laughed Jack finally got the feeling that maybe he could not win this. "Great, even in my dream's I can't get a break!" Jack yelled internally. Saizo lashed out with lighting speed with his tongue, Jack just moved out the way in time for Saizo's tongue to miss him and hit a nearby tree, snapping it in half. "Oh shit!" Yelled Jack as he kicked Saizo in the face and took off running. Saizo laughed as he got up and chased after Jack. Jack just dodging out of the way of his incoming tongue attacks. "Where you running you coward!? Show me your monster form!" Yelled Saizo as he kept trying to hit Jack with his tongue. "I guess that tongue does a lot huh?" Jack joked. "Get back here!" Yelled Saizo.
Meanwhile Moka was watching. She thought that he was very brave for trying to fight Saizo and defend her, knowing he could not win. "Jack! Take off my rosary!" Moka yelled. "What!? We don't have time for that! Can't you do it yourself!?" Jack yelled as he kept running away from Saizo's attacks. "No I can't! I need someone else to do it!" Yelled Moka. Jack than remembered Moka said that her rosary sealed her powers. Thinking fast Jack ran around a few trees making Saizo's tongue fallow him, causing his tongue to get tied in the trees. "Hey get back here! When I get free I'm going to eat the both of you!" Saizo roared.
Jack ran back to Moka and went to undo the choker around her neck but he couldn't figure it out. "No just pull on the cross!" Moka yelled. "Oh." Said jack as he pulled on the cross and it broke away from the chain. Moka than began to transform into a more mature looking version of herself with a curvier figure, silver hair, and blood red eyes that had slit pupils. Saizo stood in shock unable to move from fear. "Y-you're a vampire!?" Saizo stammered out.
Moaka roared as she took off with enough force to make the wind blow around Jack. "You fucking piece of shit! How dare you even touch me!? Let alone try to have your way with we!?" Moka roared as she took Saizo's head and smashed it into the tree causing it to break and fall down. She then ripped off his tongue as he screamed and slammed him into the ground. From there she began to beat him to death till his body wasn't much more than a pile of goo and bones. Jack had turned his back and pretended he saw nothing. It wasn't murder, it was justice. He would have done the same if he could have.
Apon hearing her start to walk towards him Jack turned around and looked at her. She was covered in blood and her clothes were all torn. They looked into each others eyes for a moment. Moka's eyes aad expression was hard and cold while Jack's face was blank but his eyes were soft. After a moment Moka's gaze softened. "You're not afraid of me?" Moka asked with just a hint of surprise. Her voice was now much more womanly and majestic. A sound that Jack thought was unbelievably beautiful. "No. Why would I be?" Jack asked as he pulled out a handkerchief from inside his jacket and held it out for her between his index and middle finger.
Moka looked a little surprised. "Because I'm a vicious vampire who just killed someone. Moka said as she took the handkerchief and whipped the blood off her hands and face. "I told you. If someone doesn't want to be around you cuz of who you are than you don't need them. Besides, why would I be afraid of a dream?" Jack said nonchalantly as he watched her with crossed arms as he leaned against a tree.
"Excuse me?" Moka said in a somewhat warning tone as she glared at him. She thought that he was coming on to her. After what just happened with Saizo she surely wasn't in the mood. Tho she did find it bold and sweet. She would have punched him if he hadn't just tried to save her. "A dream. This isn't real. You and everything else is just part of some crazy dream I'm having right now." Said Jack. After Moka was done cleaning herself she walked up to Jack.
"A dream huh? Well if this were a dream, could I do this?" Moka asked as she hit him on the side of his forehead. "Ouch!" Jack yelled as he grabbed his head. "Wait… That hurt." Jack said in wide eyed realization as he looked at her. "Well duh!" Moka said with a slight giggle. "But wait! When you bit me earlier, that didn't hurt." Said a very confused Jack. "Vampire bites don't actually hurt." Said Moka.
"That means…" Said Jack. "Yes?" Moka said sounding rather amused. "This is real!" Said jack. "Bingo!" Said Moka. Jack looked at Moka for a moment as he seemed to examine her face and eyes. "Meh." Said Jack as he rolled his shoulders.
Moka giggled. "Really? Jut meh?" Asked Moka with amusement. "Well it doesn't change a whole lot. I still like it here more than I do back home." Said Jack as he shrugged his shoulders. "You're a human aren't you?" Moka asked warmly. "Why do you ask?" Jack asked somewhat defensively. Moka hit him on the head again. "Ouch!" Yelled Jack as he rubbed his head. "I'm not going to tell anyone you dummy! It's obvious you're a human. You smell like one, you taste delicious, and biggest give away of all is you thought this was a dream." Said Moka. "Ok. If you hit me again it might become a dream cuz I'll be seeing stars!" Jack shouted. Moka hit him again. "Owww! Now I see why you have no friends!" Sad Jack. Moka hit him again. Jack leaned against the tree holding his head as Moka giggled.
After a moment. Jack stood up and looked at her. Seeing that her clothes were all torn Jack took off his jacket and held it out to her. "What are you doing?" Moka asked in confusion. Jack just closed his eyes and wiggled the jacket, telling her to take it. Moka Blushed as she looked away. She felt stupid that he could make her blush that easy. She than took his jacket and put it on. "…Thanks." Moka said in a voice that sounded like it had hurt her pride to thank him as she flipped her hair to the outside of the jacket. It was a little big on her but he thought it looked good.
"What are friends for?" Jack said with a warm smile. Moka looked at him with confusion before a smirk came to her face. "Friends? We're not friends Jack, so don't get that wrong idea about me. You and the other Moka might be friends but not us. Now I think you have something that belongs to me." Said Moka as she held out her hand, wanting her rosary back.
Jack scoffed. "Don't you lie to me. I know full well that you and the pink thing are the same person." Jack said firmly. "Pink thing?" Moka asked with irritation as her eyebrow twitched before she hit him again. "ouch!" Yelled jack. "You think I'm a pink thing!?" Moka asked dangerously. "Aha! So you admit it You two are the same! You just got to much pride and fear to be seen as weak or sweet!" Challenged Jack.
Moka hit him again. "Ouch!" Yelled Jack. "Give me back my rosary!" Yelled Moka. "No." Jack said defiantly so Moka hit him again. "Owww!" Cried Jack. "I swear you have to be the most stubborn and defiant human I have ever met! Now give me back my rosary!" Yelled Moka. "No." Said Jack, so she hit him again. "Ooowwwwww!" Cried Jack. "Stop acting up and I'll stop hitting you! Now give me back my rosary!" Moka yelled again as Jack rubbed his head. "Ok, ok. I'll give it back. …But you got to catch me first!" Said Jack before he took off running.
"Come back here you jerk!" Moka yelled as she took off after him. "It's pronounced Jack!" Yelled Jack as Moka chased after him. He knew that if she wanted to she could easily catch him, or kill him. But he wanted to test something. After a while of running through the woods. As they ran aroung Jack could have sworn he had heard a few joyful giggles from Moka as she chased him. Jack eventually became tired and Moka tacked him, pinning him to the ground as she sat on top of him. "I got you! Now, give me back my rosary!" Moka yelled pinning Jack to the ground as she looked down at him. She sounded mad but Jack could see the excitement and even a bit of joy in her eyes.
"It's in the jackets right pocket." Said Jack. Moka looked surprised and reached into the Jacket's right pocket. She pulled out the rosary and looked at it. "You had it the whole time." Jack said with a smirk. "Outsmarted by a lowly human." Moka groaned as she got up and began to walk away. Jack sat up and looked at her. "You know how I know your lying? If we really weren't friends you would have killed me." Said Jack. Moka looked back at him with surprise as she blushed. "Well maybe I just want you for your blood! You're not much good as a blood bag if your dead!" Moka shot back. "Yea you keep telling yourself that!" Jack shouted defiantly.
Moka walked away and sighed. "Maybe he's right. Maybe I am scared to be seen as weak." Moka said softly to herself. Moka thought she had walked far enough away from Jack but as she went to put her rosary back on she heard him walking up behind her. Moka quickly turned, looking defensive. Jack just stared into her eyes for a moment. "You know you should lose that thing. I like the real you better." Moka just stared into his eyes for a moment. "I'll think about it." Moka finally said before running off into the night. Jack sighed and went back to his dorm.
Back at his room Jack pulled out a few blankets and laid them on the floor and then he laid down on top of them. He didn't even bother to change his clothes, he had only loosened his tie and took off his shoes. Looking up at the ceiling with his hands behind his head Jack wondered about his life. Dream or not, he couldn't tell what was real even if this was. Maybe everything before was a dream and this was real? Maybe he was crazy? Jack didn't really care. Whatever the case he wasn't turning back. He was happy to have a friend. Even if she was a moody and prideful vampire who clearly had a few issues. Jack chuckled. Thinking about it he felt better knowing that she was that way. Meant they had more in common.
