Vongola mansion/ May 15 20xx/

"And my wallet...huh I think that's all I need." Kyota said as she was finishing putting her things inside a small bag then suddenly she noticed on her left, a golden circled-shaped locket that was sitting on the desk.

"I would never forget this." Kyota told to herself as she smiled and took it from the desk. As Kyota took the locket, she opened the cover of the locket and it reveals a picture and she smiled at it. The picture wasn't an ordinary one but it was special and important to her. The picture inside was her and kyoya's deceased parents.

"Okasan, otosan, I really missed you." Kyota remembered as she made a sad smile. She closed the locket then wore it around her neck after that she got her bag and went out of her room. As Kyota closed the door of her room, she started walking to the kitchen downstairs, where I-pin, Fuuta, and Bianchi are.

While she was walking, outside was 9:45 in the morning, some Vongola guardians, who woke up after their last night strenuous and tedious training, for some who woke up early did their duties. When Kyota was downstairs inside the kitchen, she found Fuuta cooking with I-pin helping him out and bianchi just sitting silently reading the newspaper, and then she notices her.

"Ah, ohayo kyo-chan" bianchi said as she continued to read the news paper.

"Ohayo." Kyota said, walking in the kitchen as Fuuta and I-pin notice her

"Ohayo Kyota." Fuuta said to her.

"Ohayo, Kyota-Chan, you're going to patrol again, right?" I-pin said to her as Kyota nodded.

"Yes, I'm going to leave by 10:30, so I still have time." Kyota said with a small smile as they continued to talk to each other. Few minutes later, Fuuta was already done cooking. He, I-pin and Bianchi ate their breakfast at the dining room table while Kyota sat next to them using her phone when suddenly a very loud voice came from outside of the kitchen.

"TADAIMA, TO THE EXTREME! " A high volume of the load noise that made by the one and only Ryohie. Kyota and I-pin wince as they put their hands over their ears and saw Ryohie was covered in sweat.

"Tadaima, Ryohie-nii" Fuuta said to him as she and Kyota released their hands from their ears. Then another voice came from outside the dining-room door.

"Haha, hey Gokudera, glad to see in this early morning!"

"I don't care if you see me, sword freak!" The voice responded as he growled at him then the door was opened.

"OHAYO, TO THE EXTREME!" Ryohie shouted as greeted them as Yamamoto and Gokudera came inside.

"Haha, ohayo sempai, mina." Yamamoto said, smiling at them. Gokuderaignored him.

"Oi, say ohayo to me octopus-head!" Ryohie shouted.

"Shut up I don't want to and don't get too close to me because you smell bad, baka turf top! Gokudera shouted at him. Then suddenly, growling under of Ryohies' breath, he said.

"What did you just called me!" He shouted at him as he stepped in front of Gokudera then both of them started arguing. "Hey calm down, both of you." Yamamoto said as he was trying to calm both of them down. Bianchi, Fuuta, and I-pin look at the two of them arguing then chuckled as Kyota looked at the scene with deadpanned looks then looks back at her phone.

Kyota P.O.V

"Hi, my name is Kyota Hibari; I'm just a normal 13 years old teen, but even though how normal it seems, I'm also the younger sister of the former nanimori middle disciplinary committee leader and now the cloud guardian, kyoya Hibari, and the niece of the arcobaleno storm, uncle fon.

My onii-chan and along with Gokudera-kun, yamamoto-Niisan, Ryohie-Niisan, Baka- Lambo and chrome nee-chan are the chosen holders of the Vongola rings for the Vongola Famiglia, the powerful mafia in all of Italy since they have some connection with first-generation except for chrome-nee-chan, who is the semi-guardian through pineapple head (if that's what onii-chan told me) and their job as the guardians is to protect and serve their sky Federico, the tenth boss of the Vongola.

But the truth is, tsunayoshi was the real tenth boss but he was retired two and half years ago after the fateful day happened, because of onii-chan, Gokudera-Kun, Yamamoto-nii, Ryohie-nii, and Lambo abandoned him because he killed just to save them.

They kept the secret from I-pin-Chan, me, and futa-Niisan. Even though that both of them didn't know about it, I was the only one who notices something strange about them.

Flashback/two years and five months ago/ December 27, 20xx/ 4:00

It's started one month ago after that fateful day. Kyota, I-pin, Futa, and Bianchi just got back from school since their 2nd term exams were finished (well for Bianchi, she stayed and checked out for them and Lambo was home school in the Vongola mansion since he's the lightning guardian)

Anyway back to the story, they started having their school break. Bianchi and Futa went to their own room and unpacked their things. Tetsuya brought I-pin and Kyota's luggage to their own room so they can see everyone and the first one they saw was one and only Takeshi Yamamoto.

"Yamamoto-san!" I-pin ran to Yamamoto and hugged him. Well except for Kyota, she was just standing there looking at them.

"Hey I-pin, long time no see. You too, kyo?" he greeted and returned the hug to her.

"what's up" kyota said.

"So how is the exam" Yamamoto asks as he let go of the hug.

"Well, the exams were easy except for Japanese language, social studies, and science, they were a bit hard but at least I tried my best since Kyota-nee-chan was really helpful to tutor me." I-pin told him.

"What about mini-kyoya?" Kyota twitch her eyebrows about that nickname

"Kyo-neechan says it was all easy." Yamamoto looks at Kyota, smiling.

"Wow really! you're going to be smart as your big brother, hey maybe when your one year in middle school in Namimori, you're going to be the next leader of dispinary committee like kyoya, am I right mini kyoya."

"Don't call me mini kyoya; you know that I don't like someone calling me that!" Kyota strictly scolded Yamamoto as he started laughing.

"Hahaha! Wari Kyota-Chan, the nickname suites you since your almost like your brother except that the two of you have a different personality." Kyota sighs as I-pin turned her face at Kyota from Yamamoto.

"Kyota- neechan since we're back, can we visit tsuna Nii!" I-pin said.

"Tsunayoshi, doshite." Kyota question her with a curious look.

"Well, we haven't..."As Kyota was listening to I-pin, she notice Yamamoto in the back that his eyes were widened and his whole body was shivering as if he was scared.

"So can we go?" I-pin requested as Kyota eyes quickly turned her.

"A-ah sure, why not" Kyota agreed as she was about to be dragged by I-pin to go see tsuna but Yamamoto stopped both of them.

"I-pin, kyota, Wait!" I-pin and kyota stopped and turned to Yamamoto.

"Sorry to stop you girls, but about tsuna, he's...well...um very busy with many stacks of paperwork that the kid gave him So you can't see him or disturb him. But since your back, you two can see Lambo, he's in his room, so you can go ahead and see him." Yamamoto said to them and gave a really big smile.

"I understand Yamamoto-san, let's go kyo-neechan." As I-pin and Kyota we're were walking to Lambo. Kyota was thinking about Yamamoto's expression and even his shivering hands.

Flashback end, Kyota P.O.V

When I turned my head around to look at him, Yamamoto-nii noticed me and smiled. So I turned away from yamamoto-nii, thinking my eyes were just playing tricks on me.

After a few days, I've notice that some of tsunayoshis' friends including Lambo and kyoya-nii are ignoring him. They would usually bond, play, spar and be protective of him. But this time, it's different. I've been noticing that they were ignoring him and not even talking to him especially Lambo, which is unlike of him. At that time, me and I-pin would go to tsunayoshi, we would always bring Lambo with us. But Lambo warned us not to go near tsunayoshi-nii and said that he's busy with so much paperwork. He even warned futa-Nissan, too.

Sometimes when futa, I-pin or I would spend time with tsunayoshi-nii in his office, it will only be for a few minutes since Gokudera-kun, yamamoto-Nii and Ryohie-Nii would separate us from him. Whenever we spend time with tsunayoshi-nii, I would notice that he would have a sad face whenever they sent us away.

Anyway, they would always tell us to go and hang out with Lambo or play baseball with yamamoto-nii. I know tsunayoshi-nii is always busy in his office doing paperwork but to the three of us, we never got a day to spend time with him. During our last day when I-pin and I were going back to Namimori, we secretly plan to go and see tsunayoshi-nii without telling anyone.

Flashback/Two years ago and four months ago/Jan 20xx/1:00 A.M

"Ok, One, two, thr..." As the third finger was about to go up, two young girls fell down on the floor making an "oof" sound when the door was opened. Both of them looked up and saw reborn, standing in front them. They even saw chrome as well.

"I-pin, Kyota, why are still awake!" tsuna stood up from his chair in shock even for chrome.

"Tsuna-Niisan!" I-pin stood up, ran to him, and hugged him. Chrome ran to Kyota and help her to stand up then rubs off some dust from Kyota's shirt.

"Uncle Reborn, when did you get back?" Kyota asked.

"An hour ago, so what are you girls doing here?" Reborn asked both of them, feeling in shock but didn't show it. Then I-pin turned her head to reborn.

"Well, believe it or not, we came here without permission from onichan and some of tsuna-nissan's guardians. So I guess we kind of disobey them. We come here to see tsunayoshi-nii." I-pin said to reborn as she was feeling guilty for what she did.

"And where is your brother and the Vongola guardians?" Reborn Ask Kyota.

"Yamamoto-nii, Gokudera–Kun and baka-lambo are already asleep. And Ryohie-Niisan and onii-chan went on a mission in Russia that was given by tsunayoshi-nii." As Kyota told to reborn, she notices tsuna, looking down on the ground.

"Kyota did that brother of yours or the Vongola guardians tell you both and Futa anything about tsunayoshi." Reborn questions Kyota as she looked at him and said.

" No, they didn't say anything aside from tsunayoshi-nii doing paperwork," Kyota said.

"I see." Reborn said to himself as Kyota looked at him, curiously about why he asked.

"Tsuna-Nissan, why is chrome-neechan here?" I-pin said to tsuna.

"Ah...well...I...I can't even finish this paperwork and I need someone to help me so I ask chrome ." Tsuna said as he looked at chrome.

"Oh ok" I-pin nodded as reborn looked at chrome. Then she nodded.

"All right girls, it's time for you to sleep, you have a flight tomorrow, so you need some rest." Chrome said as she was leading I-pin and Kyota to their room.

"Hai!" kyota and I-pin said.

"Common I-pin-chan, let's get back to sleep. Good night, tsunayoshi-nii, uncle reborn, chrome-neechan" kyota said goodnight to them.

Kyota's P.O.V

That very next day, my guts were telling me to go stay with tsuna and I ignored it...but I wish I should have listened. When the third term was finished, we haven't gone and visit Italy in our vacation since then.

That's until...

Author's P.O.V

As Gokudera and Ryohie were arguing, Yamamoto was trying to calm them down, then another loud voice was heard.

"Gyahaha! Lambo-Sama has appeared!" Lambo said as he appeared.

"Shut up ahoushi! You're annoying!" Gokudera shouted at him as he thwack over Lambo's head.

"Gotta... stay...calm..." Lambomuttered as he acted to be brave but his eyes were filled with tears.

"It hurts!" Lambo cried.

This is why you're still a big cry baby!" Gokudera shouted.

"I'M NOT A BIG CRY-BABY, stupid bakadera!" Lambo shouted at him.

"What did you say, you little brat!" Gokudera shouted at him.

"What's going on here?" all of them looked at the person from the door, including Kyota.

"...He came along"

"Good morning Juudaime" Gokudera said as he politely bowed to Federico.

"hahaha, yo rico!" Yamamoto said to Federico as he laughed.

"Good Morning Federico, to the extreme!"Ryohie shouted.

"Rico-nii, bakadera keeps on bullying me!" Lambo said, crying as he went straight to his older brother.

Federico scolded Gokudera like a puppy while comforting Lambo. Yamamoto was smiling and throws his arm around Federico while Ryohie was shouting nonsense. Bianchi and futa continued with their breakfast as I-pin looked at the scene.

"These boys never changed." I-pin said and smiled asKyota looked at her then looked back at them with a sigh. Kyota continues to browse on the internet but her eyes were secretly looking at the scene.

Kyota POV

It's been already two and half years, since Federico took over the Vongola. Most of them think of him as their new brother, boss, friend, and herbivore. Like, He became the one that Gokudera-kun would fuss and be overprotective, the one Yamamoto-Nissan would hang out and play baseball.

The one that Ryohie-san would invite over for boxing, the one Lambo would treat him like a big brother and someone to rely on, and the one that onichan would desire to fight. It all started when he became the new Vongola tenth.

Author P.O.V

Flashback/ two years ago/May 21

"Hey you brats, this is Federico the son of the ninth boss. He's going to be our new Juudaime, so you better respect him." Kyota, futa and I-pin are shocked about this after hearing Gokudera announce that the son of the ninth was their new boss.

It was 4:30 in the afternoon after tsuna left, everyone went back to Vongola HQ including kyoya, bianchi, Lambo, and chrome. For an unknown reason, kyoya dragged I-pin, futa and even his little sister, kyota to Italy.

chrome wasn't impressed by the announcement and she left the room without saying anything. Everyone was in tsuna's...now Federico's office room. Kyota and futa were confused about why Federico became the tenth boss. Until...

"Um, Federico-san, can I ask you something?" I-pin asked.

"Sure, what is it." Federico said as he smiled to her.

"Why did tsuna-niisan left?" I-pin said as Kyota notice that her brother and some of the guardians were frozen and their eyes were shadowed by their hair. Kyota said nothing to them.

"Ah...um well...to tell you this, he just wanted to resign and he could not take it from being the boss so tsuna gave that position to me." Federico said to her as he told the truth but he couldn't tell them about the incident. I-pin just nodded sadly and didn't say anything

"What about our things and school, do we have to study in an Italian school or a mafia school" Futa asked, nervously. He's afraid going to the mafia school ever since he lost he's ranking ability and he has been studying in nanimori for four years and have gotten used to it.

"Don't you worry, I know you don't want to study in an Italian or mafia school since you only learned in nanimori, that's why kyoya inform me that he brought all your clothes, things and study books in every grade from year 5 in elementary school till the 3rd year high school, so you three are homeschooled in Vongola mansion. Since you guys will be living here from now on, you also have to learn to speak Italian" Federico said as I-pin and futa nodded in disappointment.

In the same time that Federico told I-pin, Kyota saw her brother, kyoya left. She decided to follow him to know why tsuna left.

"Onichan!" kyota called out for her brother. kyoya stopped and turned to her.

"Hn"

"Why did tsunayoshi-nii really leave?" Kyota questioned him .

"Did the herbivore told you that he just wanted to resign from being the boss and gave the position to him." kyoya told her.

"I know but why does tsunayoshi-san really have to resign, I thought tsunayoshi-nii was meant to be the tenth heir of the Vongola family. Why did he let the son of the ninth to be in charge?"

"Kyota, Let's not talk about that herbivore, you understand." Kyoya warned her.

"But..."

"Do you understand" kyoya warned again as Kyota sighs and nodded without saying another word.

Kyota's P.O.V

After almost two years since Federico-san became the tenth boss, my brother, lambo, Ryohie-nii, Yamamoto-nii and Gokudera-kun have forgotten all about Tsuyoshi-nii and they would never speak or mention about him. And they haven't still told us about that faithful day, they only told Bianchi and tetsuya. Both of them believe about that fateful day and it wasn't Bianchi-neechan and tetsuya-nii's fault that they didn't know about what really happened on that day.

Since Federico-san took control of the vongola as the boss, I-pin and futa were accepting him, step by step. Every single day, both of them missed tsunayoshi-nii and mama. When we started living in HQ, we were forbidden to go back home to nanimori since my brother and the other Vongola guardians thought that tsuna lives there.

Every alliance of the Vongola including the Varia, CEDEF, arcobaleno, Simon Famiglia, Millefiore Famiglia, Giglio Famiglia, Chiavarone Famiglia, Shamal, spanner, shoichiwere really pissed at my brother and the guardians. They weren't happy about it, because the guardians abandoned neglected and replaced tsunayoshi-nii.

Even I-pin and my friends bluebell and Nosaru would have a disappointed look on their faces at my brother and the guardians. When we hang out in the Vongola HQ or practice for the song, I would notice at their look but I didn't say anything about their behaviors. After tsunayoshi-nii have his first strike of blood, byakuran-san and Uni-sama told nosaru and bluebell. the two of them were really pissed. They weren't angry and disappointed at me, I-pin and futa since we didn't know about what's going on that time. but they were really pissed at Lambo for abandoning his brother.

Finally, for chrome-nee-chan, the Vongola allies weren't mad at her since they know that the she did their duties as tsunayoshi's mist guardian. But still when Federico became the tenth boss, chrome didn't accepted him and she has no choice but to protect and serve her new sky since she was second to be chosen to be the mist guardian because mukuro stated that he doesn't want to work for the mafia.

And still chrome-neechan hasn't forgiven the other guardians for abandoning, neglecting, and replacing their old sky. Until now, I couldn't tell that whether or not she has forgiven Tsuyoshi-nii for leaving her.

Author's P.O.V

"Kyota, are you ready to go?" Kyota looked at the person who was calling her and it was Tetsuya with her brother.

"Hai, tetsu-nii!" Kyota said as she got her bag and said goodbyes to all of them and gave a goodbye kiss to Kyoya. As she followed tetsuya to the car, she noticed mukuro and chrome coming over.

"Oh Kyo-Chan, are you going already?" chrome said

"Hai, chrome-neechan."

"hai! I have to go, tetsu-nii is waiting for me, I'll see you in the afternoon chrome-neechan!" As Kyota said as she ran off to Tetsuya. chrome waved goodbye to her.

As Kyota was in the back seat of the car, Tetsuya was driving her somewhere in Italy. Kyota leaned her head against the car's window, looking at the trees going by.

Kyota's P.O.V

As for me, when Federico became decimo, I-pin, futa and I became homeschooled. I didn't want Federico to be the tenth until now. At that time, I always been thinking about what happened to tsuna. I sometimes couldn't sleep because I was thinking back then about why some of tsunayoshi-nii's friends were ignoring him.

Also I was thinking about why Yamamoto-nii was shivering as I mentioned tsunayoshi-nii and why Lambo keeps on avoiding him. About why tsunayoshi-nii resigned and gave his position to Federico. That was 2 and half years ago self wants to know the answerers of those questions.

That's until I found out why tsunayoshi-nii left...
