Superboy groaned. Its official. He dying of boredom.

It had been a week since the battle with the mechanical imposter Superman and his minions. He felt kinda bad for them. They thought they were going to do good and help other, but their good hearts got taken advantage of. Instead, they became mindless minions, not in control of their own bodies. In the end, they died when their suits malfunctioned.

He groaned again, falling backwards onto the grass. After the fight, Superman had bring him to his childhood home, Smallville, Kansas. Clark said it was best for him to stay there while he got his life back on track with him being 'found' alive hundreds of miles away from Metropolis, a story that somehow everyone bought, and needed time to make room in his life for him.

That being said, didn't make the waiting part any more enjoyable. Superboy has spent the last week adjusting to civilian life on the farm and after about a day he was bored again. Don't get him wrong, he likes the Kents and the farm, but its not the fast moving, heart thrilling life he lead back in the city. The calm life of Smallville was something he was just going to have to get use to.

He could still do things that he couldn't in the city. Like flying whenever he wanted. He smiled, jumping up off the bed. That is something he could do.

He ran at normal speed down the stairs and threw the kitchen.

"No running in the house young man," an elderly woman said, standing in front the sink, cleaning the food she picked from her garden. He grinned sheepishly.

"Sorry. Ma'am," Superboy said, slowing to walk through the kitchen. She shook her head at him amused.

"Where are you heading off to? and no more of this Ma'am stuff. Its Ma to you," she asked, already knowing the answer. Clark could never stay coupled up inside the house for long either. The two had no idea how alike they are and are still different from each other.

"Outside." Was all he had to say. It wasn't the first time he'd gone flying while staying with the Kents. She nodded.

"Be back before supper," She said, drying her hands. He nodded, racing out the door, taking off into the sky.

The wind flowed through his hair, tossing it from its neat style. He grinned mischievously. I wonder how fast I can go, he thought before speeding.

What he didn't see was the dark hole opening in front of him until it was too late. He tried to stop, but his momentum kept him moving forward. He yelled, getting sucked into the void before both disappeared without a trace.

In Another Universe...

A black void opened up on top of the warehouse. It morphed, changing as someone stepped out from the other side onto the roof. The figure paused, turning around to watch the void collapsed, fading in a bright light.
