This is part of my alternate universe, here instead of being ponies, the characters are humans with animal traits. But I won't rub it in your face or at least try not to.

I made my weak body slowly get up as I watched in horror at the wreckage. My mom and dad's car fell down a ditch. I was about to check if they were okay, but an officer held me back.

"Let me go, you idiot! I have to see if they are okay!" I screamed angrily.

"Kid, the paramedics will handle it." The officer sighed. "I can't let you get hurt."

The paramedics looked at my parents' bodies and shook their heads.

"No… NO!" I screamed.

"Calm down." One paramedic said gently as she held my shoulders.

"No! My parents are gone and it's all your fault! You should have come quicker!" I said aggressively, then I began sobbing, held tight in my grip was the only thing left of the wreckage… My teddy bear.

I woke up in my current home, my little Teddy in my arms. My mom named him after me, Theodore Bearclaw, Teddy for short.

"Teddy, come on down and have breakfast!" One of my two current caregivers called.

"Coming, mom!" I answered, struggling to say the last work. I got out of my bed to have my favorite, bacon eggs, and buttered toast with a glass of orange juice. My "mom" was very nice to me, but I knew that she wasn't going to keep me forever. I scooped up the scrambled eggs and bacon bits with one of the triangular pieces of toast and chewed it up.

"Eat up, dear." She said, "Today is your first day of school."

"Fine…" I sighed. I thought school was dumb, it felt more like a prison that forced you to learn, but my old parents said it was for the best and now my current "parents" thought the same, especially my foster dad who spent a lot of time on the computer and reading a book.

After I ate, the bus soon arrived by the street.

"Bye." I said as I ran to the bus. As I feared, almost all the seats were filled up. But I spotted an empty seat. If I was lucky, I could have it all to myself, or at least only sit next to a boy. But to my dismay, a girl with long pink donkey ears and blue hair sat there, and she was joined by the last boy, a boy with platinum colored hair and small ram horns in a soccer outfit. He put his arm around the girl, making her cringe a little, she pushed past him and went to sit next to one of her friends.

"I guess I will sit next to you." I said a little nervously.

"Alright, kid." The boy smiled. I was about to sit next to him, but then I smelled an odor.

"Eww, what's that smell?" I gagged.

"Hey, it's not my fault I ran out of deodorant! I wasn't going to skip lifting weights because of that!" The boy scoffed. I shook my head and found the last empty seat, a girl with long white ears hanging from the sides of her head.

"Oh… Hey…" She said nervously.

"Sorry. But this is the only seat left." I sighed.

"That's okay." She said in a high pitched and kind hearted voice. I sat next to her and crossed my legs.

"So… What's your name?" I asked awkwardly.

"I'm… Sweetheart." She said shyly.

"I'm Teddy. But my name has nothing to do with teddy bears!" I said.

"I didn't think so." She stuttered.

"Sorry, Sweetness." I said.

"Sweetheart." She corrected me.

"Okay, Sweetheart." I said.

Soon the bus parked nearby the school, the students got out and I followed them.
