As a way to meet my 2020 writing goal of learning how to better write shorter works, I challenged myself to write a new drabble every week throughout the year. For the challenge, I used the weekly prompts given by A) my Facebook community The Pen15 is Mightier and B) the Tumblr challenge hogwarts365. Additional to the prompts (from which I was allowed to pick one or several), the hogwarts365 challenge also required me to stick to the very flexible word limit of: "EXACTLY 365 words" (their capitalisation, not mine).
This challenge was an amazing journey for me and my creative writing, and I'm ridiculously proud of having completed it. I had high hopes for it as I started it, and yet I've managed to exceed all my expectations. Every single one of these drabbles is so precious to me, and the story they tell when read together is the perfect mix of all the things I love most; pining, UST, slow burn, romance, banter, humour, cute kids, angst, fluff, smut, flirting, and a very happy ending.
This year-long challenge was an unforgettable experience for me, and I'm so looking forward to finally share it with you on FFNet as well.
The 54 drabbles of this compilation weren't originally published in any particular order, I just went with the prompt of the week and made sure they all somehow fit together in the same Drarry-verse. For this FFNet version, though, since the compilation is already complete, I've decided to publish them in chronological order, and I plan to post them in batches of 3-4 drabbles/chapters every Friday over the three remaining months of 2021.
Now, let's get this party started!
NB! The original versions of some of the included drabbles contain strike-through formatted text. Since this formatting option isn't available on this platform, I will instead indicate these segments with brackets: "[" & "]"
