Last Chapter:

'A small part of myself tries to tell me mate is gone, but then I shut off that part.

I growl at a gnome and it scurries away.

I nip at the spot I bit twice before, slightly whining.

-Time Skip-

I keep vigil for hours and slowly fall asleep curled up by mate.

?POV?:

I cough a few times, waking up.

It looks like I'm in the middle of the woods.

I try to sit up but pain causes me to fall back down the few centimeters, that I managed to rise.

I lay there listening to the sounds of nature, trying to remember something important that's on the tip of my tongue.

After a while I come up with nothing, and decide that it didn't matter.

So, who am I and why am I here?'

Dipper's POV:

I wake up and jolt into a sitting position when I notice mate is gone.

My mind starts to panic as I look around and don't see him anywhere.

Mate?

I spring up to my feet and scan the area with my magic but I come up with nothing.

My heart thunders in my chest.

Matematematemate???

?POV?

As I practice walking on these wobbly legs, still in pain, I feel something caress my cheek.

My heart flutters as I see an image of someone familiar in my mind.

He has brown hair and.. his brown eyes glow blue sometimes?

I look up and see him across this field of flowers, as I've come to learn they are called.

He's standing next to someone that I feel like I should recognize.

I take a few tentative steps forward, and before I know it, I'm right in front of him.

Before I can greet him, I run into something.

I try again but it seems like I can't get any closer. (︿)

(Mini A/N: So before you guys ask, this is what is happening:

I accept defeat after a few tries, seeing as it doesn't get me anywhere.

Besides, I don't think he can see me anyway...

I peer down at the familiar stranger lying on the ground and I get the urge to reach out and touch him, but forget that I can't and run into an invisible barrier again.

The cute stranger perks up for a second and looks around, and for a second I think he'll see me, until his eyes pass right over me.

Dipper's POV:

I perk up, feeling mate for a second and scan the area again, but come up empty.

I feel my heart breaking...

?POV?:

I feel a wave of disappointment.

I see tears gather in the cute stranger's eyes.

I get the urge to comfort him and so I reach out, but again, I'm unable to...

I notice he perks back up though and looks around again.

Not wanting to see him upset, I get as close to him as I can and notice he starts calming down.

Dipper's POV:

I feel him near again just as I'm about to collapse.

Only this time, the feeling stays.

For the first time in almost a month, my mind fog lifts some.

I let out a happy noise and a few tears escape.

"You're here!" I exclaim.

He's here!

He didn't leave me!

My shoulders start to shake and more tears spill out and this time I do collapse, but I hug his body that's still immobile on top of his favorite flowers.

I press my face into his shoulder and let it out.

All the pain, all the doubt, all the heartbreak...

I cry it into his shoulder.

When I'm done, I look up to the nearest tree.

I vow,"I swear I'll find you Bill. I love you s-so much! I don't care how long it takes!"

As more tears prepare to fall, I whisper, "Thank you for not leaving me..."

Then I break out into tears again.

?POV?:

As the cute stranger vows to this Bill person, I feel something give in the barrier, for a few seconds.

Taking the opportunity, I reach forward and gently brush some of the tears from his face, since that's all I can seem to do, before it goes back into place.

Dipper's POV:

I feel him come closer.

I feel a touch on my cheek and then a gentle brush of thumbs under my eyes, before he moves back again, wherever he is.

I make a short happy laugh and my tears slow.

I glance in the general area that I feel his presence in and I give a watery smile. (ಥಥ)

My voice cracks as I say,"I- love y-ou."

Bill's POV:

The moment I made contact with his skin, I remembered something.

This is Pinetree and... I'm Bill.

And we love each other.

He was the reason I would wake up some days and he is sexy as hell( ͡ ͜ʖ ͡)... and mine( ‿).

I press my hand as hard as I can to the wall.

"I love you too Pinetr-ee." I reply, although he can't hear me, and my voice cracks too...

I feel another memory tickle the surface, before emerging.

I remember dancing with him in this meadow and it becoming ours...

My heart lurches and tears gather in my eyes too.

I push against the wall.

"Baby... I'm right here..."
