Broken Banner ~
Something was wrong, he could feel it, his vision blurred and he felt the Earth shift below him. The Hulk may be one of the strongest heroes in the world but right now all he could do is let the fog take him.
"Bruce!" was the last thing he heard Natasha yell as she ran to him. Flashes of her red hair crossed his vision before just blackness.
"Steve!" Natasha yelled, pulling Bruce's head onto her lap. He had been hit very hard by a blue beam emitted by Loki's staff. Steve looked from helping Thor to the assassin, surprise flashed on his face briefly.
"Thor! You got this?" Steve asked, referring to capturing his Brother.
"Indeed Rogers, I shall bring him to justice," Thor flew back up and started his encounter with Loki.
Steve ran over to Natasha taking in the situation. Bruce had a head injury, and a burn mark on his back that needed to be tended to. Steve took off his helmet and tucked it under his arm looking around. He found a piece of tattered cloth among the rubble, and applied Bruce's forehead.
"We need to get him out of here," Natasha told Steve, glancing at the battle ensuing between the two gods.
"Right," Steve pulled Bruce up and firemen carried him. As they ran down the street Tony came flying past them heading towards where they had just come from. Steve nodded to him as they passed.
Steve brought him to a safe location, away from the current battle. Natasha had already rejoined the battle when they had started to bring Loki into custody.
"Bruce? Bruce, buddy, wake up," Steve gently tapped the sides of his face. He was trying to not jostle him too much in case he had any more damage internally.
Thor had already captured Loki and was taking him back to Asgard where he was to find punishment for his actions. Steve looked up as the bifrost opened up engulfing the two Asgardians. Still no attempt to wake up, Bruce looked paler than normal. It could be just because he had just turned back from being hulk or from the loss of blood coming from the gash on the front of his head. Either way Steve was becoming more and more concerned. Tony landed next to Steve, opening his Iron-Man helmet revealing his face.
"He won't wake up Tony. I think he's lost a lot of blood," Steve relayed, still kneeling next to his comrade.
"FRIDAY, analyze vitals for Bruce," Tony commanded, his armor shooting out two small drones. They floated up and down Bruce's unconscious form, taking in all his vitals then reattaching to Tony's suit.
"Sir, Blood pressure: low. Heart rate: high. Blood transfusion: needed. Head wound: needs stitches. Brain damage: Unknown. Do you need me to request emergency services Sir?" FRIDAY listed.
"No. FRIDAY call Strange and tell him to meet us at HQ in 5," Tony ordered.
"Right away Sir," Friday replied.
"Tony, how is he?" Nat asked him.
"He's not doing so hot, Nat. I asked Strange to meet us at HQ in 5 and he will need a blood transfusion," Tony advised, taking Bruce into his arms from Steve.
"He'll be okay Nat," Steve comforted, placing a hand on her shoulder as Tony took off towards the compound with Bruce.
"I hope so," Nat told him, walking to her motorcycle to ride back to the compound, "Need a ride?"
"Sure," Steve agreed and hopped onto the back, with a small smile.
Back at the complex Tony had timed it amazingly well as right when he landed with Bruce, Dr. Strange had portaled into the room.
"Stark? What's going on?" Strange asked, walking into the medical room he had placed Bruce into.
"Banner got struck by some blue ray gun beam as hulk and he passed out and hit his head. FRIDAY says he needs a blood transfusion," Tony relayed.
"Blue beam?" Strange asked, rolling up his sleeves already and going to wash his hands.
"Yeah, Loki got loose again. Thor chased him here from Asgard and went on a bit of a rampage across the city," Tony advised.
" I need some electrodes for his heart monitor as well as the blood bags you have prepared for the infusion. He will need stitches as his forehead can not stay like that," Strange listed off his cape flowing off of him grabbing the bags for him as Tony grabbed the medical equipment.
After everything was hooked up, Strange started the infusion while he cleaned Bruce's gash and sewed it up. The two other Avengers walked in as he cut the medical string from the last stitch.
"How's he doing Doc?" Steve asked, standing in the doorway so as to not get in the way.
"He's doing better, we just need to wait till he wakes up to see what state of mind he's in, and hopefully it's not green," Strange told them, with a raise of his eyebrow.
