With no effort at all, Shougen's attacks overpowered Vegeta's; sending it careening back towards him. Scoffing, Vegeta roared in pure rage as the attack impacted him, resulting in a single massive explosion. "Vegeta!" Goku cried out, fearful for his friends safety.
All of the Universe's looked towards Peiri and the other members of Universe 13 as Shougen roared once more. "What is that thing?" Belmond asked, pointing at the hulking monster that Shougen had become. "That is the beast." Fleur announced, shivering as she spoke. "The beast?" Berrus asked, leaning forward in his seat in order to get a proper view at it. "It was one of Yokk'Karosh's… Or Zoda I suppose… Anyway, it was one of his minions; it was sent by him to prepare our world for his coming. The only way we could defeat him was." "Let me guess, he absorbed him?" Champa asked, shaking his head as he pointed at Shougen. "Not exactly" Gazu began, shaking his head. "Shougen proved himself to be stronger than the beast." Gazu began to explain, until Tink used her tail to lower herself down from Penga's outstretched hand. "And then he made a friend." Tink cued, playfully tapping Belmond on the nose. "The Beast accepted Shougen as it's master and became one with him, he can call upon the power of the Beast whenever he likes." Peiri explained, watching her brother carefully.
Sighing, Berrus cradled his head, loosing hope by the second.
Goku and the others stared at the dust cloud that was strewn about by Shougen's attack until the smoke from the explosion cleared, revealing Vegeta; now returned to his normal size, laying limp and lifeless on the ground.
Releasing a menacing, guttural sound akin to laughter, the Beast raised one of it's unnecessarily large paws over Vegeta.
In unison, Goku, Jiren, Merrick and Broly jumped down from the rock, charging toward Vegeta; leaving Zagraeus and Drago to watch as they attempted to save him. "Hey, pick on someone your own size!" Goku yelled as Merrick and him jumped above the Beast, returning to their Ultra Instinct forms. "Atomic." "Kamehameha!" Both of them gasped when their attacks were reflected off of the Beast's back, the black armor like substance, plating it's body; shining with an unholy sheen.
Staring up at the colossal monster, Jiren's eyes snapped to one of the Beast's heads. "A link?" He wondered, noticing that a small area under the Beast's middle head had a broken section of the strange, black armor.
Raising his fist towards it, he regained his red aura as he punched toward the opened wound, a red beam shooting from his fist.
The Beast roared out in pain as Jiren's attack made contact as Goku landed next to Jiren, patting him on the back. "Nice one Jiren, I wouldn't have even noticed it, haha." Goku applauded until The beast roared once more, resulting in spires of rock to shoot up from the ground, rendering Goku and Jiren immobile.
Roaring once more, the Beast began to lower it's paw toward Vegeta until Broly appeared above Vegeta, lifting his arms into the air. Broly grunted in pain when the immense weight of the Beast began to crush him, forcing him into the ground.
Zagraeus and Drago simply continued to watch everything unfold until Broly's voice snapped them out of their trances. "Zagraeus, grab him!" Ignoring him, Zagraeus crossed his arms and scoffed. "Come-on Zagraeus, you said it yourself; the only way to beat him is to work together!" Goku called from his prison. "They do have a point. This truce was recommended solely by you." Drago admitted, glancing up at Zagraeus when he clenched his fist, his left eye twitching in rage as he began to growl. "Kindness is the greatest virtue of all. No matter what happens, promise me; promise me that you will always do the right thing." Zagraeus closed his eyes and took a deep breath as a woman's voice echoed through his mind, a single tear racing down his cheek. "Damn it all." He growled as he grabbed Drago by the hair before jumping down from the rock.
Everyone sighed in relief when Zagraeus not only tossed Vegeta over his shoulder, but also grabbed Broly by the hair, pulling him to safety as the Beast's paw impacted the stage.
Merrick, Goku and Jiren took a deep breath when Drago rose his sword into the air, a calming aura surrounding them. "Diora'Fa!" He roared, slicing the rocks apart, releasing them. "Consider this my repayment for your help earlier." Zagraeus announced, dropping Vegeta to the ground. "What?" Goku asked, staring at him in confusion. "We Spargan's always repay our debts." Zagraeus explained. "Get the hell up!" He ordered as he kicked Vegeta in the ribs, causing him to jolt to his feet. "It seems as though our efforts have enrage him." Drago announced, motioning toward the Beast as it roared again.
As the Beast turned it's gaze towards them, they all grumbled. "Something tells me, this isn't going to end well." Jiren sighed as Merrick scoffed. "No shit." He mocked, shaking his head.
Raising it's heads into the sky once again, it began to charge the same attacks that he had before.
Without a word all of the warriors began to charge up, regaining their respective aura's that they had earlier, preparing their attacks as they glared at the Beast.
Holding his sword in the air, Drago took a deep breath before throwing it as he had done earlier against Merrick as the others began to charge in unison "Final." "Colossal." "Galactic." "Atomic." "Supernova." "Kamehameha!"
The spectators gasped in awe when they fired their attacks at the same time, the colors spiraling together as the slowly began to become one attack.
The Beast growled as it released his attacks. The spectators gasping when the combined attack reached Drago's blade. "That's the ticket boys, Shamac!" Drago stated as the blade became engulfed in both a bright blue flame and the attacks of his comrades, pushing it forward at an accelerated rate.
Everyone's eyes grew wide when the attacks collided, emitting a blinding light. "This is intense, their power is something else." Peiri announced, struggling to see. "We never stood a chance against them." Gohan admitted, wincing when the stands began to shake, the Zeno's laughing again as their chairs danced. "This is amazing, everyone is working as a team." "I know, this is very nice." "Yes, but don't you think that Shougen's new form is amazing?" "Yes, it is. It is very cool."
Scowling at the Beast, Goku narrowed his gaze. "Everyone, together!" He cried as he closed his eyes, gritting his teeth tightly as their attack began to be pushed back towards them.
At his command, everyone began to raise their power at the same time as Drago grasped the right side of his face. "I will not loose this time, brother. This time, we will taste victory." He stated as he rose into the air, transforming into Garvangan once more. "Fiora Tac'Nal!" He roared, firing a giant, purple energy blast towards the others.
As Garvangan's attack impacted theirs, it became more unstable as an unprecedented amount of power was added, easily overpowering the Beast.
Growling, it released one more colossal roar as the attack impacted him, an explosion of dust and debris flying into the air.
Everyone waited with baited breath to see if the combined attack had defeated the Beast, silence covering the null realm until Fleur began to giggle. "What are you so happy about?" Berrus asked, roiling his eyes when Fleur continued to giggle, unable to share her information with anyone.
As the smoke cleared, everyone saw what had incited the giggles from Fleur. Where the Beast had once stood moments before, stood a small Tanuki with an Orange leaf upon its head. "What the?" Belmond gasped, completely confused. "Is that?" Jiren began to ask as Zagraeus nodded, depressingly. "Watanuki!" Fleur cheered from the stands. "That's Shogen?" Broly asked, confused as Garvangan walked toward him, picking up the small Tanuki in his hands. "How can someone like him become something like this?" Jiren wondered, shaking his head as Garvangan laughed. "This time, you have tasted defeat child. Now, we are one for four." He stated, his hearty laughter echoing across the entire realm. "Before you ask, that is Onii's true form." Everyone quickly looked to Peiri, shocked by her words. "We don't understand it either." Gazu revealed, shrugging his shoulders as he shook his head.
Jiren's eyes grew wide with shock when the small Tanuki began to grow in Garvangan's grasp, until Shougen returned to his normal form, forcing Garvangan to the ground as he transformed back into Drago before indenting the young King into the arena, knocking him out.
As the others watched Shougen burst into manic laughter once again, they gasped when he leapt into the air, crashing back down on top of Drago, walking him up just for another surge of pain to rush through his body, his ear splitting screams echoing across the null realm.
Cracks began to race across the stage every time that Shougen landed on Drago, his screams echoing every time that Shougen's heavy boots collided with Drago's body, sending him further into the arena every time. "What is this guy?" Merrick asked, clenching his fists tightly. "We've got to do something. If we don't, Drago's gonna die." Goku announced as an enchanting melody filled everyone's ears.
Looking around, everyone shared the same look of confusion as a lovely song echoed across the entire realm, drowning out Drago's cries as well as Shougen's maddened laughter. "What is this song?" "I don't know, but it's very pretty." "I know, but I have no idea what the words mean." "Yes, I have never heard this language before." The Zeno's admitted, swaying their body's in time with the song. "What is that?" Jiren asked, looking up to the sky. "Impossible, that sounds like-." Zagraeus began to speak before being cut off by Peiri. "Nyx!? But how?" She asked, looking over at the young girl, gasping when Nyx smiled at her. "Unless…. Forgive me princess." Peiri stated as she punched Nyx in the face, everyone gasping when her fist went through Nyx's face as she vanished. "Well then, with the return of Nyx of the 13th, our fighter count returns to 11." The Grand Priest announced, bowing once more as he too; swayed with the song.
As the song grew louder, everyone looked up at one of the floating rocks above the platform, gasping when they saw Nyx standing on the edge of the platform, singing the enchanting song that was filling the realm. "What's going on?" Champa asked, rubbing his chin. "Nyx was never eliminated, it was just one of my clones." Mimi explained, spinning one of her Kunai around her claw. "I know that, I mean; why the singing?" He asked as Peiri laughed. "Nyx is a demon that we saved back on Earth. She has the same abilities that her mother; Talia has. She can boost or lower the attributes of people with her songs." She explained as Rumsshi rubbed his chin with his trunk, humming in thought. "So that girl is a songstress?" He asked, chuckling when Peiri nodded in agreement. "Her powers are connected with her voice and although her songs sound like they are using words that we could speak, that couldn't be further from the truth." Ruby began to explain as she repositioned herself. "The language that Nyx and Talia use for their songs is a language that only they understand. Even if they sing the same song back to back; the words will be different every time." She explained as Goku chuckled.
As Nyx continued to sing her song, Goku laughed, a wave of incredible power racing from not only his body, but the others as well.
Feeling this increase in power, Shougen stopped jumping on Drago and stepped out of the crater that he had made. "Do you truly believe that the power of that freak is enough to kill me?" He asked as the 6 of them charged at him in perfect synchrony.
In perfect synchronicity, Broly forced his arms under Shougen's arm pits; rendering his arms useless as Jiren and Vegeta grabbed his legs, beginning to pull them backward as Merrick grabbed his head, forcing it upward when as Shougen began to charge a purple energy attack.
Taking a deep breath, Goku smiled. "Let's do this Zagraeus." "Don't tell me what to do!" Zagraeus roared as they both charged at Shougen, assaulting him with thunderous, rapid punches; each one forcing Shougen backward towards the edge.
The spectators watched with baited breath as Shougen continued to be forced toward the edge.
As Broly's foot reached the edge; Jiren, Vegeta and him jumped away from Shougen, just in time for Goku and Zagraeus to release a powerful energy blast to him, sending him from the side of the arena.
As Nyx ended his song, the five weary warriors collapsed, reveling in the victory that they had achieved together until Broly looked up at the Grand Priest. "Shouldn't he be saying something?" Hearing his words the others looked up at the Grand Priest and sighed. "Of course he wouldn't go down that easily." Zagraeus sighed as Vegeta looked over the side. "What the hell!?" He asked at the same time that everyone gasped.
Everyone on the stands stared in complete shock as they watched Shougen climbing his way up the side if the arena. "Impossible, is there any way to stop this guy?" Berrus asked, shaking his head. "That's my husband for you, his stubbornness is a disease." Fleur admitted as Hit stepped next to Jiren. "Hit? Where have you been?" Merrick asked, rubbing the back of his neck. "When Sakura punched me in the face, the world went dark, the next thing I can remember is waking upon a rock just a few moments ago." He explained, smiling. "We were really outmatched this time, most of us never stood a chance. You were stronger than my time cage all those years ago and now I've met someone that is faster than time itself. There's nothing else I can do except give you and the others a fighting shot… I would only hold you back. My power is nothing compared to you four." He admitted, patting Jiren on the shoulder. "I don't need any help from you, assassin." Jiren announced, crossing his arms. "Perhaps, but I wish to be of some assistance to my Universe before this is over." Hit explained as he leapt from the side of the arena.
The stands gasped as Hit fell toward Shougen. "Is Hit attempting to take Shougen out with him?" Champa asked, watching as Hit reformed his purple aura, tackling Shogen; forcing him to loose his grip and fall alongside him. "Hit of the 6th and Shougen of thee 13th have been eliminated, 9 fighters remain, good luck." The Grand Priest announced just as Shougen arrived next to Fleur in an unconscious state. The moment he landed, both Kukei and Fleur leapt into his arms. "Master, you're okay!" "Watanuki, you're alive!" Their screams awoke the giant, spurring him to leap to his feat as he began to frantically look around, unsure of where he was until Fleur and Kukei hugged him again. "You're okay." Fleur explained, patting his chest as Kukei began to cry. "Master! I thought you were gonna die!" She yelled out as Shougen patted her head lovingly.
Tilting his head he looked at Peiri. "The hell happened to me?" He asked hugging Kukei tightly as she cried freely. "It seems as that when you took the blunt of Broly's attack, it forced you into such a weakened state that Xerrath's soul; the one you so carelessly absorbed! Took control of you. It took the combined forces of Goku, Vegeta, Merrick Broly, Zagraeus, Drago, Jiren… And I guess to an extent; Hit to eliminate you." She explained, pointing at Hit as Kale helped him to his feet. "It took the 8 of them, huh?" "I just told you that, Onii." Peiri critiqued, rolling her eyes when Shougen pumped his arm. "Nice."
As Kale helped him into his seat, Hit sighed. "I was unable to do anything. I really didn't even get a proper elimination. Really, I didn't even level the playing field since Zagraeus is still out there." He admitted, hanging his head as Champa patted his back. "It's alright, we were always outmatched. This tournament was rigged from the start." Champa admitted, laughing nervously as Berrus shook his head. "He's right. This tournament is as one sided as it gets. Even with all of the Universe's combined, we still don't stand a chance. I'm starting to think that we were doomed from the start." Berrus agreed his eye twitching as he looked back down to the arena, seeing Goku pull Drago from the crater.
