A dark, rough, and demonic voice escaped from Zagraeus's mouth as he spoke, sending shivers down everyone's collective spines. "It can't be!" Belmond gasped, frantically pulling on his hair. "The Destroyer?" Champa added, shaking his head as his eyes bulged. "He has to be lying." Berrus stated. "Oh please, Tinkamenia is the only one that possesses the idiotic audacity necessary to make such untasteful jokes in such a time of dire strife." Drago critiqued, shaking his head. "He is correct. The members of the 13th are not lying, Goku, Vegeta, and Zagraeus have all become something more… Something above the mortals, above the gods, above the angels, possibly above even I. They have become the perfect cosmic entity's, the physical incarnations of both, life and death. Now, the true final battle for all of creation has finally begun." Hearing his words, everyone looked up at the Grand Priest in confusion. "You guys all know what Zagraeus is?" Shougen asked, prompting a disturbed chuckle from the Grand Priest. "Of course I do, his coming was foretold in the stars." "In the stars? You clearly know more than you let on, don't you?" Drago accused, looking slyly at the Grand Priest. "I'd watch what you say to him Drago, he has a short fuse." Kaseaen whispered as the Grand Priest glared at him.
The attention of the spectator's was quickly drawn back to the fight when explosions began to rapidly rock the entire null realm. Looking upward at the forms of Zagraeus and Gogeta, Drago rubbed his eyes and blinked in confusion. "I do not understand. Where are these explosions stemming from? Their not even moving." Sakura, Toppo, and the God's stared at the two warriors in complete shock. "The hell's wrong with you?" Shougen asked, nudging her, breaking her out of her trance. "Their moving." She replied, her eyes shooting back and forth as she watched something.
Aoia shook her head as she stared. "I apologize, but I have to disagree. My scans do not detect movement of any kind from either of them. " "Your scans are wrong." Toppo announced as he continued to stare at Gogeta. "Every one of those explosions is caused by the pure force of their fists colliding." everyone looked at Toppo as he spoke as once again; the God's began to stand once more, one by one as the explosions continued to rock the stage.
Watching the sky, Berrus shook his head. "Incredible, I thought that the Destroyer was just a myth." He mumbled; his eye twitching. "I hoped that would never live long enough to see this day." Belmond agreed, squeezing his hair in his hands. "you all know of the Destroyer?" Drago asked, looking at Berrus as sweat raced down his face. "We were all told that one day, the Destroyer would come… We always thought that it was a story, a fairytale to keep us in line." Champa explained, trembling. "We were told that when the Destroyer came, the end of everything would shortly follow." Belmond finished; grasping Toppo's shoulder to steady himself. "Though I don't understand how the Destroyer went unnoticed for so long." Rumsshi wondered aloud as he pulled on his trunk. "Lord Rumsshi." Kusu whispered as she looked up at her God, concern, showing on her face. "You knew that he was the Destroyer?" Berrus asked, looking at Shougen. "We all did." Drago answered, leaning forward to see past Shougen. "We have all known of Zagraeus's birthright for a long time. We first met when I was sent to Earth by my father; to protect me from Xerrath. Zagraeus saved me from the demons that had overrun the humans. Peiri was the first to actually bond with him. When he was but a child, his world was destroyed, along with everyone on it; including his younger brother Tabagur, his sisters Okora, and Komatsuna… And his mother. He also speaks sometimes about his older brother; Cayn, as well. Apparently, Goku came to his planet and destroyed it. His mother knew that Zagraeus was special, so she sent him away. He has blamed himself for not being strong enough to save them. When he arrived on Earth, he was adopted by a family… When Xerrath's demons invaded Earth and his brother from his adoptive family; Ano, fell into one of their portals, he was unable to save him. Zagraeus blamed himself once more, for his death. The Earth was quickly conquered by the demons. The humans never stood a chance, and once again, Zagraeus blamed himself for the fall of Earth. That is when we found him, he had sworn to protect Sturan and Mashiro; two friends of ours. He then, came back to Vitania with us and swore to protect it or die trying. We found out what he truly was, when Yokk'Karosh arrived, the Destroyer that slumbered within him agreed that as long as Kukei lived, he would work with Zagraeus to protect the Universe… But if something were to ever happen to her, he would awaken and bring upon Armageddon." Drago explained, causing the God's to look at him in shock as Kaseaen slid away from the other members of Universe 13. "It must've been their shared love for the runt that brought the Destroyer to life." Shogen added as Peiri sighed as she continued to watch her husband, rubbing her belly.
The attention of both, the God's and mortals alike was spurred back to the fight when the explosions subsided.
Both, Gogeta and Zagraeus starred at each other in silence as the crowed watched; speechless. "Impressive." Gogeta admitted as Zagraeus simply stared at him. Without a single word, Gogeta charged straight at Zagraeus and began to assault him with punches.
Masterfully blocking and dodging all of his attacks, Zagraeus shook his head as Gogeta smiled, attempted in vain to strike Zagraeus, continuing to smile even when Zagraeus grabbed his fist.
Gogeta quickly punched him in the face before Zagraeus had a chance to move, gasping when Zagraeus smiled back at him, completely unfazed by his attack.
Lifting Gogeta up by his one arm, Zagraeus swung him around in circles before slamming him to the ground. Picking him back up, only to slam him again.
When Zagraeus paused momentarily to catch his breath, Gogeta quickly released a Kii blast; knocking Zagraeus back, kicking him in the face, causing him to slide backwards.
With enough ground between them, Gogeta charged and released another Big Bang Kamehameha. Smiling, Zagraeus held out his clenched fist, taking the attack head on. "Wow! Look at Zagraeus!" "I know, he's awesome, he's absorbing it. Look look!" the Zeno's cheered as they continued to watch the fight.
As Gogeta's attack dissipated, the stands and Gogeta himself gasped when they saw that the spikes on Zagraeus hands were once more glowing a bright red; along with the lines on his body and his horns. "Your own holy energy will be your undoing." Zagraeus mocked as he appeared behind Gogeta, releasing a powerful red Kii wave identical to Gogeta's to his back, sending him rocketing to the arena below.
The stands grew silent once more as Gogeta impacted the arena; shaking the stands as he past.
As the dust vanished, Gogeta lay face down; partially indented in the stage as Zagraeus watched, silently. "You once wondered why I was happy that the others had been eliminated. I suppose I can tell you before you die; the boy becomes stronger by draining the life forces of everything around him, but only if they allow him to. I, on the other hand, exist by his life force, and any other energies that happen by, your energy only makes me stronger." The Destroyer explained, crossing his arms as he spoke.
He grunted in annoyance as Gogeta began to shake as he pushed himself to his feet. "Just die already!" The Destroyer roared as Gogeta stood once more.
Looking up to him, Gogeta rose his index and middle fingers towards Zagraeus and closed his eyes. "We'll see." "What the!?" Shougen cried as a white ring appeared around The Destroyer and began to squeeze him. "Look around you!" Gogeta called.
Looking around him, the Destroyer began to laugh. "What the hell is he laughing at?" Shougen asked as Drago watched, completely aghast. "Incredible, they can copy an attack just by witnessing and experiencing it only once?" Drago asked as he watched Gogeta copy Zagraeus's arm movements from his Final Judgment attack. "I've said it many times before, but both Goku and Vegeta are in a completely different league then us." Piccolo admitted. "Goku mastered the Kamehameha just by watching Master Roshi perform it once and the old man took fifty years to fully master it" Yamcha added, watching Gogeta.
"When did you place them?" The Destroyer asked as he was lifted into the air by the ring of energy. "You should pay more attention to your opponents actions." "Hahaha, so you weren't even aiming for me with those punches?" The Destroyer asked, laughing as he looked back at Gogeta with a smile. "You said that our energy only makes you stronger, what about yours?" Gogeta asked as he formed a circle on the ground around Zagraeus. "No way!" Shougen gasped. "The final judgment." Drago added, gulping loudly. "But he'll live right? Vegeta survived and there was evil in his heart." Peiri pleaded as Gazu looked at Drago for reassurance. "It is true that Vegeta posses a cruel and evil heart, but over the years he has become softer, and has accepted love and peace into his life. Whereas, the Destroyer is the physical embodiment of Evil. The incarnation of all sin and disdain." Universe 13 looked up at the Grand Priest as he spoke.
Kaseaen gripped her staff tightly and closed her eyes as the Grand Priest spoke, tears seeping through her tightly closed eyelids. With fear growing inside of them, the members of Universe 13 looked back down at Zagraeus and Gogeta, gasping when Gogeta stood at the ready. "They say that imitation is the most sincere form of flattery." The Destroyer stated, shrugging his shoulders when Gogeta readied his arms at his sides. "Goodbye Zagraeus… Now, experience your final Judgment!" Gogeta roared as he threw his arms into the air, covering the battlefield in a bright white light as it had done before, only the pain filled screams of the destroyers rough and demented voice escaped from the white wall of pure energy.
Everyone on the stands grew silent and all eyes were firmly glued at the location of Zagraeus. As Gogeta lowered his hands, the light began to dim, revealing Zagraeus body still held afloat by Gogeta's ring of energy. Zagraeus was slowly lowered to the ground by the ring until it disappeared the second his feet touched solid ground.
Quickly falling to his knees, he gripped his chest tightly and began to cough as blood trickled from his mouth and nose. "So you survived?" Gogeta asked, landing in front of him. "I suppose I have the boy to thank for that." The Destroyer replied, leaving everyone confused. "Vegeta survived because of his conflicted heart. The Destroyer must have been able to survive much the same way; the Destroyer is evil incarnate, but Zagraeus's heart is pure. Since they inhabit the same body, the conflicting forces within, must have allowed them to cheat death." Drago wondered aloud, twirling a loose strand of hair around his finger. "Those two sure are something." Berrus agreed, his teeth clenched tightly as his eye twitched.
Still on his knees, the Destroyer began to laugh. "What's so funny?" Gogeta asked, looking down at him. "I've always been saving you, but this time… It looks like you saved me." The Destroyer stated, closing his eyes as everyone looked at him in confusion. "Why is he talking to himself?" "I don't know, that's strange." The Zeno's stated, laughing as Belmond shook his head. "The Destroyer is talking to Zagraeus… What are they planning?" He asked, narrowing his eyes when Drago hummed. "An intriguing enquiry indeed. They could be planning anything… Although, I warn you to expect the outlandish." Drago stated, as the Destroyer growled loudly, punching the ground. "Fine! just this once… Now, get it over with!" As The Destroyer roared, Everyone grew eerily silent. "What is he doing?" Ronin asked, leaning on Drago's shoulder. "I have not thee slightest idea." Drago replied as Universe 13 looked to Kukei who had begun to cry once more, curled up in Shougen's arms. "Papa…. Papa?"
Smiling, Gogeta knelt down next to the Destroyer and grabbed him by the hair, forcing him to look at him. "I thought you said that you were the Destroyer of worlds?" Gogeta asked, mocking him.
Looking up to Gogeta, the Destroyer smiled. "We are." Gogeta gasped, releasing his head as he stepped back, the Destroyer's voice; melded with Zagraeus in an unholy unison.
Using their confusion to his advantage, the Destroyer punched Gogeta in the stomach, and rose his left hand into the air, forming a small red ball; identical to Hit's time cage. "He's using Hit's time cage attack!?" Champa asked, completely shocked. "Shougen? Drago? Can you hear me?" Everyone gasped when Zagraeus's voice echoed across the null realm. "Zagraeus?" Shogen gasped, surprised to hear his voice. "We need your help, all of you." Drago shook his head as he stared down at Zagraeus, watching as he held Gogeta in the time cage. "How? We cannot interfere with your battle, we have already been eliminated." Drago stated as Zagraeus laughed. "Up here!" Everyone looked into the sky as Zagraeus spoke, revealing that he had created a clone of himself to hold Gogeta as he jumped up to a floating rock, high above him, his hands rose high into the sky. "I have a plan, and the Destroyer agreed to it. Now, it's up to you." Drago shook his head once more in confusion. "I do not understand what it is, that you want. Is this not the stance that Goku took earlier, when he used the spirit bomb?" "Exactly! Raise your hands to the sky, lend us your power. We can win this together. "At Zagraeus's command, every member of Universe 13, including Kaseaen, Kaylin and Cody's eliminated sister; rose their hands, and paws high up into the air.
Scowling, Shougen's eye began to twitch. "This better work!" Shougen snapped as Kukei bounced up and down, once more upon his shoulders. "Yeah, Papa!" "Damnit!" Zagraeus snapped, making everyone jump. "What's wrong now?" Shougen asked, lowering his hands and crossing his arms, a stern scowl on his face. "You're all to fatigued, it's nowhere near strong enough." Zagraeus stated as held a large, red energy ball above his head. "What are we gonna do now?" Peiri asked, grasping her chest as she spoke. "Kaseaen!" "Yes?" Kaseaen quickly answered Zagraeus's. "Can you open up communication with the rest of the Universe." Everyone from the shared multiverse, stared at Kaseaen; waiting for her answer.
