No army. This elf couldn't be that powerful could he? Thorin looked over at Katie and held her hand, she looked terrified. Thorin looked down and sighed and shook his head as Gandalf began to leave.
"Where are you going?"
"I need to use your library, and a handful of your mystics."
Thorin nodded and Gandalf left. Right now there was nothing that could be done, there was nothing that Thorin could do. He was afraid for his wife and his family. They made their way back to their privet living quarters, the sat by the fireplace and watched as Ora played quietly, petting Kaizen and babbling quietly at him. Thunder rumbled outside as it began to storm again, it had been like this for the past few days.
"Papa!"
Shouted Ora getting Thorins attention, he looked down and smiled at his chubby cheeked daughter. He got down on the floor with her and held her in his lap kissing the top of her head as she babbled and pointed toward Kaizen, he sniffed her hand and licked her finger throwing Ora into a fit of giggles. Thorin smiled.
"Is that Kaizen? He's a good boy."
Katie smiled as she listened. She slowly stood to join them but stopped.
Join me Kathrine Warg Tamer…..
She became dizzy, hearing a deep voice in her head, the same one she heard while in the dungeons of the woodland realm.
"W-what…?"
She asked in a whispered tone. Thorin turned to look at her.
"What's that Amralime?"
"Join me, daughter, and we shall do great things."
Katie screamed as visions of fire, war, and death flashed before her eyes.
"Katie?!"
Katie fell to the floor crying in pain as the visions continued.
She saw herself, eyes red, skin pale, hair flowing as she wore black armor standing by her side was Tharilmore, his eyes were read as well, his teeth sharp and his fingers black, he wore black armor with streams of blood dripping down it, a crown of bone and flame sat upon his head. He lifted his sward and in one swift movement brought down the lonely mountain.
"You will have every thing you could ever want."
"NO!"
She sobbed out, tears running down her cheeks as she held her head in her hands. It felt as if someone had ran a sward through her head.
"Katie? Katie what's wrong? GANDALF! GET GANDALF!"
He shouted to one of his guards, the guard bowed and ran, he quickly came back with the wizard. Thorin picked up his daughter and moved out of the way. Gandalf bent down in front of Katie and placed is hands on either side of her head bringing her face up to look at him. He spoke an ancient language making Katie stop screaming, her head snapping up to look at him, her eyes red as blood. She smiled a sinister smile.
"She is mine wizard!"
Thorin's eye's widened as she spoke.
"That's not…That's not her voice."
"No. It is Tharillmore Darthill."
She or he chuckled deep and dark.
"There is no hope for her or any of you. She will be dead to you by this time next week, she will rule by my side for eternity."
"Katie. Katie, listen to me, I know you're in there. Come back, now!"
Said Gandalf as he tapped her forehead, her eyes went back to normal and she gasped taking fresh air into her lungs, tears streaming down her cheeks.
"He's here…"
She said softly.
"Yes."
Answered Gandalf. Katie passed out, Thorin gently lifted her, having handed little Ora to Aia and lifted his wife into his arms and carried her to their bed and laid her down gently. He watched her sleep.
"What do we do?"
He asked.
"Nothing. This is Katie's fight."
"You expect her to do this alone?"
"She is the only one to have this connection with him. She is the only one who can defeat him."
"How?"
Gandalf shook his head as Thorin sat by Katie's side, holding her hand. She slept the entire day and into the next. She finally woke around evening on the second day, she sat with Gandalf and Thorin quietly and listened to them talk.
"I won't let her do this alone!"
Shouted Thorin angerly.
"Then what do you plan on doing?"
"Gather the dwarven armies from all seven kingdoms."
Gandalf sighed and shook his head.
"The stubbornness of dwarves astounds me. Fine, if you wish to waste your kin folk then by all means do-"
Katie placed her hand on Gandalfs arm silencing him.
"I will do it. Bring the army, show him that we will not stand down."
"Katie…No…"
Said Thorin, worry in his voice. She looked at her husband.
"You heard what Gandalf said. Only I can defeat him."
"You can't! I won't allow it!"
Katie stood and glared at him.
"Oh I can't but YOU think YOU can go off on a 13 months gods damned journey and take back OUR homeland from a fucking dragon but I can't defeat a threat that will ultimately destroy OUR world OUR home and OUR people!"
Thorin just sat there, stunned. Never had he heard her use such language before. Thorin sighed and nodded.
"Aye, yer right. But I will ready my army if they are needed."
Katie simply nodded.
"It's settled then. We meet on the battlefield Wednesday next."
Preparations were made for what would be one of the worst battles in the history of middle earth.
