One down, Hex more to go

Luz and Amity were walking together in a forest looking for potion ingredients when they were interrupted by Eberwolf and Darius.

"Why who do we have here, is that the Amity blight in front of me… oh and that human." Darius exclaimed.

"I have a name!" Luz shouted

"Whatever" he continued. "Now what would a Blight be doing out here in the middle of the forest?"

"That's none of your business. What are you doing out here?"

"Well me and my associate here." Eberwolf crawls out from behind Darius "We're told that you two are conspiring with the Owl Lady."

Luz gasps in excitement. "Awwww he's so cuuuuute!" She starts running towards Eberwolf before Amity grabs her by the hoodie.

Amity whispers to Luz "We need to go now."

Luz whispers back "What? Why, who are they?"

"Those are the Beastmaster and Abomination coven leaders Eberwolf and Darius. They are the top of the top, extremely powerful and extremely dangerous and they work for Belos."

Luz started to scoot away

"Ahem!" Darius interrupted "I was speaking! Anyways seeing as you too are working with the Owl Lady we must take you in. Now you can come with us and make my life a lot easier or we can get messy. Your choice."

"Amity" Luz whispered

"What?"

"Look down and be ready to jump."

Amity realises that Luz had drawn a considerable ice glyph in the mud

"Well what's it going to be? I haven't got all day!" Darius demanded

"1!"

Luz and Amity jumped and activated the Ice glyph, creating a pillar that sent them flying but Eberwolf quickly summoned a griffin to grab them and throw them back to the ground.

"Oh I thought you would be smarter than that, well I guess it's time to get messy then."

Darius and Eberwolf both transformed, Darius becoming a creation of his own teaching and Eberwolf becoming what can only be described as completely untamed.

"Uh oh"

"I told you Luz!"

Eberwolf summoned a charging ratworm at Amity who made a shield out of abomination to deflect the attack. Eberwolf just kept attacking leaving no space for retaliation.

Darius morphed his arm into a pendulum blade and started swinging at Luz. Luz barely avoided the attacks each time. After each swing she placed and detonated a flame glyph to no effect. Even though Darius flinched he kept regenerating.

"Very impressive, for a human but you can't firespell your way out of this one." As he lunged for Luz

Amity finally found an opening and launched Eberwolf with an abomination fist from below. Right as Eberwolf was defeated Luz screamed in panic from behind.

"AMITY!"

"LUZ!"

"Oh do you care for this human Amity? I thought you were above such things being a Blight and all. I'm sure you won't miss her" Darius said as he started to squeeze Luz

"Am..ity, I… can't brea-th. Help me."

"Put her down!" Amity screamed.

"Now why would I do that?"

"Put her down!" Amity screamed again, tears rolling off her cheeks

Luz went limp.

Amity fell to her knees.

"Now... are you going to come with me?"

Amity's expression swiftly changed from heartbroken to furious. She started screaming at the top of her lungs summoning spikes from below Darius impaling him. He dropped Luz and was immediately blown away by an abomination fist, hitting a tree.

Amity quickly used a sludge wave to bring Luz to her.

Holding Luz in her arms "Luz" She said whimpering "Luz please, please wake up. Please I can't lose you. Please wake up."

Darius stammered up and slithered up behind Amity.

"Too bad this is how it has to end, I thought you would be a prodigy, my successor even. Oh well, all in the name of Emperor Belos." He swung his hand down morphing it into an axe. His arm suddenly stopped. It was frozen in place.

"Wh-what? What is this?"

Amity turned to Darius. He had never seen such rancor in someone's eyes.

Amity proceeded to take complete control of Darius. Using both arms she levitated him.

"What are you doing? Stop it!" He demanded.

A split appeared at his head.

Luz slowly regained consciousness, staring at Amity from behind.

Darius visibly in pain "Stop, stop it right now! I demand you stop!" His voice wobbled.

Eberwolf emerged from the forest.

"Wait wait wait, we can talk about th-" Amity quickly pulled her arms apart tearing Darius in half.

Eberwolf looked on in horror as Darius was pulled apart.

Luz was in shock.

Amity slumped to her knees again.

"A-Amity?" Luz asked quietly.

Amity quickly spun around and threw her arms around Luz.

"Oh my titan." she said before completely breaking down into tears.
