Chapter 1

She clutched the safety bar for dear life. What was more impressive was the fact the thing had even managed to last this long. As the red car blasted through the city streets faster than a raceway. Sweat had formed on her forehead. It was irritating how bad her sister could get. The fact she'd managed to go months without crashing was even more soul-wrenching. Popping open the glove department another $400 ticket was thrown in with the thousands of others. All of which had been unpaid and unaccompanied by the revenue collectors. "That's it, you're officially on my hit list now," her ginger-haired older sister said.

"Can you drive normally? We're on the road, not a speedway!" Was the girl's only response. "You know one of these days you're going to get into a car crash-"

"Oh shut up! Tootie," the ginger-haired woman snapped. She slammed her foot on the breaks. Luckily for her; the school was in sight. This ride of torture was almost over. Tootie cursed the days when she was late to the bus or outright missed it, "It hasn't happened yet. Besides, if anything happens the insurance company is going to pay me a lot of cash."

Knowing better than to argue she dropped the conversation with her sister. And as quickly as the nightmare started it came to an end. With her sister butting her out of the car. A bunch of kids had gathered around the main tree in the school's courtyard. With her backpack in toe; Tootie slipped past them quietly. Hoping to god that the devil wasn't anywhere. Luckily she slipped as fast as she could without getting stopped by the school administrators. Towards her locker where she dropped her backpack which was the most secure place to store her things.

"Hey, freak of nature!"

It was just her luck, "What did she do now? And whatever it is, I don't care!" Standing behind her was Trixie Tang. The richest and plumpest girl in school who since her worst nightmare had shown up to school. She seemingly had a pension to destroy her life; not that she really cared, "You know you're a giant jerk and I thought my sister was bad." Trixie glared at her.

"Are you too having some kind of relationship problem?" Trixie asked, raising an eyebrow, "Anyhooo freak. Your lovely maiden is standing out in front of the school yelling at a bush. And you might want to go and be her knight in shining armor and save her before Blonde makes a bigger fool of herself than she already is." She gave the woman one last glance before storming off watching as the woman laughed sadistically. Storming out of the school hallway she pushed towards the tree. Where her blonde-haired enemy was.

That woman had ruined her life more than 100 Vicky's could. "Carmichael!" The blonde-haired woman jumped from her position and stumbled back. Which caused her to back into Timmy. The two of them were practically inseparable; it made her sick. "Why are you yelling at a tree? And what have I told you about yelling at my perfect Timmy?!

"Uhh hiya pudding! I wasn't yelling at a bush, I was yelling at Timmy!" Which only got Tootie to slam her fist onto the blonde-haired woman's head. "What was that for?"

"I'm going to kill both of you!" With that, she dragged both of them away as kids were laughing at her. Chloe was going to pay not only for insulting her Timmy but running her reputation.

- Months Earlier -

It was a small buzz from her wrist. The smartwatch that her mother had gotten her vibrated. Indicating it was time to move somewhat instead of her dedicated focus on her project. With that, she left her laptop unintended towards the bathroom. After returning to her desk. Anger, confusion formed on her face as the laptop with her unsaved work was missing. "Where the heck is my laptop?" Thinking for a moment Chloe moved towards her bedroom door which was locked shut.

Her room was average size for a normal American house. However, even if she spent most of her time in it; she kept it clean. Chloe hated filth, but one could tell it was clearly lived in. Minus a few posters the walls were painted light and in the corner and window seals were plants. Returning towards her desk a voice followed, "Hiya Chloe!" It took her a moment to realize that something was in front of her.

It was half-human, but with animal characteristics. The thing which was clearly female; no larger than a soccer ball. Floating above her head was a golden six-pointed crown. On her back were butterfly-like wings; she wore a pink shirt with a skull on it with a skirt. "I"m Scarlet! Scarlet Cosma!" She said happily with a very cheerful personality that ruined the atmosphere. "What's this?"

"Give me that," Chloe said and snatched her really expensive collector items from Scarlet. Who reminded her of a little kid from all the videos she watched online. "Why are you in my room?"

"Well I don't know," she said. "Cookies!" With that, she dashed towards her bookshelves grabbing a book. Scarlet took a bite out of the book and winced then spat it out. "That's nasty! It tastes like knowledge! I want a cookie-ooh what does this tod?" She dashed over towards another corner in her room. Scarlet glides across the room faster than Chloe could keep up with. Which left the blonde-haired woman thinking that she was becoming delusional. Her parents did complain about the amount of time Chloe spent in her room.

"Oh great I am going crazy," Chloe muttered to herself. "Alright Scarlet...whatever you are. Why are you in my room?" Chloe asked again but got no answer as Scarlet dashed out of the room. Only for the girl to head for Chloe's rare collectible item which was neatly placed on a shelf in her room,`` That's it, give me that!" She screamed and dashed towards the girl who dropped it. Chloe caught the item before it shattered into a million pieces.

The door was opened and Scarlet disappeared. Standing at her front door where both of her parents. "She's been in her room too long," Chloe blinked only for both of her parents to grab her. The next thing the blonde-haired woman knew both of them dragged her out of the room. Chloe was squirming to break from her parent's grasp, "Sorry Chloe not going to happen you're spending too much time in your room. Time to go outside!" Her mother said and threw her daughter outside, "And don't come back for at least an hour!"

With that, she slammed the door leaving the blonde-haired girl outside. A warm sun touched her skin and it was rather dry. "Are you okay?" Looking up from the streets as Chloe was laying on her stomach. Was a girl that was shorter than her by a few centimeters. With flush out black hair, black glasses, wearing a black turtleneck jacket with a gray plaid skirt. She had to be one of the prettiest people Chloe had ever seen in her life. "What was that about?" Chloe stood up from the ground brushing off her sunflower dress.

"Hiya pudding! I'm Chloe Carmichael! I'm feeling great after seeing you. You're cute, want to be friends. I don't have any friends!" The girl took a step back in utter terror at Chloe's sudden outburst. "Oh my gosh!-" With that, the girl took off running leaving Chloe standing there confused and excited. In a way that she had never been before in her life, "Who is she? And why is she so pretty? I have to make her my friend." Scarlet who had disguised herself as a bush looked at Chloe confused and oblivious to the ten-year-olds rambling.
