"STAY SAFE CHILDREN!" Chiron shouted to Nico Di Angelo and Will Solace, out on a date to a Mama Mia Pizza. He turned in his path, and started walking back through the strawberry fields and in to camp. He suddenly felt someone creep up from behind. The person used a rope to bind Chiron to his wheelchair (he was in Mr. Brunner form) and they tied around his mouth.

Annabeth came up from behind. "Sorry I had to do that, Chiron. You'll be coming to the campfire with the rest of us and talking about solangelo." He somehow managed to remove his gag and say "I'll happily talk about solangelo! We're just not going to talk about dirty, OK?" Annabeth glanced at him like she believed her mentor, shoved an apple in his mouth anyway, and dragged his wheelchair behind her.

At seeing Annabeth approaching, Leo lit a fire. Calypso got up and undid the ropes around Chiron. "We'll go in alphabetical order about why we love solangelo. I'm first." Annabeth said. "I love solangelo because it's a dark upon light relationship, and I like that dynamic. Your turn, Calypso."

Calypso nodded her head. "They love each other very much, which is very beautiful." Calypso looooooooooved true love. Chiron mentally calculated he was next. "They are very cute together. You go next, Frank."

"Their playful bantering is very cute. Hazel, go next." He said very quickly. "William is keeping my brother happy, which I approve of." Leo mock- dabbed his eyes. Percy thought he saw real tears. Jason straightened his back, and everyone expecting a speech out of him. They were wrong.

"OMG! THEY'RE SO CUTE LIKE, SERIOUSLY! I MEAN MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE I LOVE IT SO MUCH OMG! I CAN'T EVEN SAY! I LIKE LIVE FOR SOLANGELO I HATE EVERYONE WHO DOESN'T LIKE IT I'M LIKE OMG THEY'RE SO CUTE-"

Leo interrupted. "My turn! Solangelo T-shirts are very cheap. That's why I promote it." Calypso slapped his arm.

Percy grunted to signal it was his turn. "I don't understand why I'm not Nico's type; I'm everybody's type. But if you told me my life depended on it, the reason I like it is because it's entertaining to see the two of them bickering, and making out afterwards. It's just adorable. And Leo's right, solangelo T- shirts are very cheap. Piper, you've got the stage."

Piper took in a deep breath. "I've written an essay." The rest of the seven remembered how she went around the past week, asking about their solangelo experiences.

"What I really like about Solangelo is balance. There's the obvious light/darnkess dynamic, but it's not what I'm talking about. We know that Nico's fatal flaw is rage, and even Hades encourages him of "letting go of his rage", because it's the only way Nico can be happy. Will, as Nico says when he first describes him, watching him in Clovis' dream, "had a way of defusing people's anger".

Moreover, one of the first things Nico asks Percy is if he can surf and it's implied that Will is a surfer since he has this "Surf Barbados" shirt. I think it's hilarious and funny.

When they first meet in canon Nico almost kills Will. But truth is Will saves his life, because we later learn that it could be Nico's last jump with Shadow-travel. Later Nico saves Will from the six Romans and Will prevent Nico from falling on his face when he summons five skeletons. I like that they can help each other: helping someone it's not a one way thing. Indeed when Will goes to Nico to ask his help with Octavian it's a sign that Will trusts Nico and Nico goes after him and doesn't think about it twice.

But I especially like how Will changes Nico. Nico is used to people afraid of him. We know that even older, more experienced Demigods are afraid of him and that he can easily overpower them. Nico also could easily overpower Will, but Will is not afraid of him. I think Will is the only character who actually tease him. He oversteps his boundaries and doesn't look away or go away. I know that there are a lot of people complaining that Will touches Nico too much without his consent. But he does that for specific reasons: he takes his hand to check if he is ok (and he reveals it himself soon after), he forces Nico to lean against him because understands that Nico can't stand on his own feet.

Actually Will himself says that he has no problem to follow Nico's lead: he recognizes that Nico is more powerful and more experienced. He is stubborn ONLY when other people's health is discussed. He forbid Nico the use of his powers only because it's dangerous, not because he wants to have the last word. Except for his doctor role, Will is ready to do everything Nico wants.

I also like how it is implied that Nico and Will knew each other before. Not only we know, thanks to Nico's POV, that they knew each others since the battle of Manhattan. We also understand because it's implied in the text, that Will is one of the guys who would like to be Nico's friend. And we can see that from the way he treats him: like a regular guy, and this is all Nico ever wanted from his peers.

I also think that, since Nico is very strong, he could help Will realize that there are different types of strong, and even if you are not good at archery that doesn't mean you are not strong."

Piper took in a deep breath again. Everybody looked shocked. Piper had the ability to fan girl?

"That's flattering." Said a voice. Everybody jumped. Nico was standing there, leaning against Will. The seven plus Calypso and Chiron jumped up and started running for their lives. "Hey, I was serious!" Nico protested. He sighed and muttered something about how he was not that frightening. Will got up. "Hey, I'm here for you." He said, pressing his lips to Nico's.
