Damn I didn't even expect myself to update this fast xD
The next day, Harry told Ron and Percy about what happened in the night. Ron listened with excitement but was annoyed,
"Why not me," he said crossly. "Anyway, I need to go with you tonight," and Harry nodded.
However, he had had got a strange look in his eyes, as if he was far off from the table and lost in his imaginings.
Percy watched, and frowned inwardly. This wasn't going to end well...
"Percy will go too, won't you?" broke in Ron, looking at Percy expectantly.
"Wha-no," Percy would never go back to it. It was magic of the worst kind, and despite all his experiences, Percy feared it. It showed him a dream- a vision that was unlikely to ever happen.
He was a demigod, after all.
Having happy lives wasn't their thing.
Dying early was. Thankfully, Percy had avoided doing so till now, but the risks never ended.
"You alright," asked Ron curiously, "Looked like you spaced out for a moment,"
Ron shrugged, "Cool," and turned back to Harry, who Percy noticed with alarm, still had that faraway look in his eyes.
Next morning, Ron kept on urging Harry to do something instead of brooding, but Harry was uninterested.
Man, that kid only has these sorry aunt of uncle of his to look after him. At least both my parents are still alive, even if Dad is kinda... absent most of the time.
After all this time, Percy was still conflicted about his father. Sure, Poseidon was no Ares, but it was unquestionable that his parenting skills could do with a little brushing up. Yeah, and he got it that his dad was busy, but still...
He looked at Harry, but it was obvious he wasn't listening to anything Ron was saying.
He sighed internally. He wondered how long these visits to the mirror would last.
He had not long to wonder.
The next day, Harry came back looking shaken.
As Percy listened with interest, he thought he could catch a lie.
There's no way Dumbledore would see socks in that mirror. He's obviously lying.
Percy could tell that Harry thought so too.
Absent-mindedly, he turned out his Chocolate Frog card about Dumbledore, but it was the wrong one.
He was about to change it, when he noticed the name and froze.
Silently, he held out the card to Ron.
"What-" then caught sight of the name on the card.
He had the same reaction.
Harry looked at them impatiently, then said, "What's the matter? You two look like you saw a ghost."
Mutely, Ron handed the card to Harry.
He looked at it, then gasped.
"Why, it's Flamel!"
"We know, " said Ron somewhat sarcastically.
"We've gotta show this to Hermione!" said Percy.
Ron nodded energetically, but Hermione saved them the trouble by bursting in to their dormitory.
They looked at each other.
"You first," said Ron and Hermione simultaneously.
Hermione looked annoyed, but said, "Ok, I'll."
"Snape's refereeing in your next Quidditch match,", she said, looking directly at him.
Harry looked stupefied, while Ron looked panicked.
"But why would he-,"
"Obviously, he wants to ruin things for Harry," said Hermione, rolling her eyes as if to say, "You only got that now,"
But Percy wasn't so sure.
Snape hadn't struck him as the sort to make such an obvious way of showing his dislike. Knowing him, he would make some elaborate way to ruin things for Harry-but not in such an obvious fashion.
"I think-," Percy said slowly.
He became slightly self-conscious as he felt the eyes of the others on him.
He hesitated slightly, the forged ahead.
"Snape doesn't strike me as the type who would so such a thing openly."
Ron looked confused, Harry mystified and Hermione was raising her eyebrows.
"Yeah, I know it sounds weird, but I think that Snape isn't someone to show off his hatred for Harry in the middle of a Quidditch field-in front of Dumbledore, too,"
"Yes, that kind of makes sense," said Hermione doubtfully, whereas Ron still looked out of the loop.
"Why not? I mean, he still hates Harry, doesn't he?"
Hermione rounded on him, "No, Percy means that he won't do that in public."
"Yeah, but still..." Ron looked unconvinced.
Hermione glared. "Ron, you-"
Before the two could start a full-blown argument, Harry deftly cut in.
"You haven't heard OUR news yet!,"
"Oh?" Hermione looked highly sceptical, as if she would stunned if they actually had something worthwhile to say.
Percy grinned inwardly. She would be.
"Well...," Ron looked as if he was enjoying this.
"Well what?," Hermione demanded impatiently. "I haven't got all day,"
Percy couldn't take the waiting any more.
"We've found out who Nicolas Flamel is!" he blurted out. Ron looked slightly annoyed, as if he had been denied a treat.
"What?," Hermione looked stupefied.
"Look," said Percy and threw the card at her.
She caught it and read it.
Her eyes lit up.
"Yes!,"
"Wait here, you three!,"
She sprinted off. Where? To the library, of course.
Percy and Ron groaned.
Harry looked at them, startled, then chuckled.
Short chappie but y'all just wait for the ending...
Thanks for reading!
