Hi! So, I read Percy Jackson And The Forethought Five (SUPER good book by the way, you should read it!), and I thought 'hey, why not have more books like this?' so I decided to make one a bit like it! This is pretty different, though, and I am putting a poll on my page for who Percy will be paired with. The options are:

The Deadly Underworld Monster Slayers of Hades (or The Slayers for short)
Info: all of them can turn into 1 wild cat, 1 bird of prey and 1 mythical creature, they are all very powerful, and they change their names when they arrive there, and they all have wings (human-sized), fangs and the color hair of there other animal, a side effect of being able to transform into animals. Their powers include the powers from their godly parents and being blessed champions of Hades, they also have their powers.
Leaders: Fang & Elektra
Fang (Percy): son of poseidon, blessed champion of Hades
Animals: jaguar, peregrine falcon, dragon
Appearance: messy blue/green/purple/red hair, sea green eyes with black outer rings, fangs, peregrine falcon wings.

Elektra: daughter of Zeus blessed champion of Hades
Animals: white tiger, golden eagle, nightmare
Appearance: wavy red/orange/yellow ombre hair that looks like fire that goes down to the middle of her back, electric blue eyes with black outer rings, fangs, golden eagle wings

Storm: daughter of Hecate blessed champion of Hades
Animals: lynx, snowy owl, Simurgh (not as in the phoenix-type thing, as in the lynx with wings and rainbow markings on its face)
Appearance: really long dirty blonde hair down to her waist with rainbow streaks, purple eyes with black outer rings, fangs, snowy owl wings

Animals: Amur Leopard, red-tailed hawk, gryffin
Appearance:
Shoulder length golden blonde hair, silver-blue eyes with black outer rings, fangs, red-tailed hawk wings

Appearance: short messy golden red hair with orange and yellow streaks, blue eyes with black outer rings, fangs, red kite wings

Appearance: messy blackish-indigo hair, blue eyes with black outer rings, fangs, black kite wings
Chapter 1:
Percy POV, age 6
I sighed as I walked through a small forest.
'So. what to do now.'
No one wants me. Not even the orphanage I ran away from 3 weeks ago. I've been living by the Hollywood sign since 2 days ago. I have no family and I have no clue what to do. My mom decided I was attracting too many of those weird scary monsters and put me in the orphanage, and my dad abandoned us when I was a baby.
I keep walking.
When I reach the sign, I see something I have never seen before. It looked like letters in another language, but somehow I could read it. I traced my finger over the letters, and I heard a deep rumbling sound.
I stumble back, and fall down.
Then, the rumbling gets louder and the sign starts shifting, finally making an entrance to a long, deep staircase.
It looked scary.
I walked in.
It was really dark and steep, and I slipped a couple of times.
But I kept walking
After what seemed like an eternity, I arrived…
To see something that looked like a cross between airport security and the Jersey Turnpike.
Weird.
I walked up to someone about my age who was crying and yelling at a man in an italian suit.
"There must be a mistake! I'm NOT dead!"
"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Everyone says that. 'Oh, I'm not dead! Let me out! There must be a mistake!' not happening. Now, how did you die?"
"My mom got a deadly sickness and as she was dying I hugged her and I blinked and ended up here!"
He looked surprised, and said
"Well, there is a mistake then. You must have joined her by accident while she was crossing over. Now, you boy, how did you die?" he said, looking at me.
"I didn't die. I walked into a staircase that the Hollywood sign turned into."
"Gah! I knew we should have put it elsewhere! But nooooo Hades had to put it there. I'm sick of this. Get on this ferry, I'm taking you two to see Hades. I'm Charon, by the way."
He gestured towards a boat, and we climbed in.
The girl and I started a conversation.
"Hi. I'm Mia. Who are you?"
"Percy. That's a nice name."
"Nah, I hate it. I like yours, though."
"I hate mine too. It's too… english. And it makes me seem like a rule follower, like percy weasley from harry potter."
"Oh. Who is hades?"
"Well, the greek gods, have you ever heard of them?"
"Yup."
"They're real. Everything from greek mythology is real. My mom told me, before she kicked me out."
"Oh."
We fell silent, and stared at each other.
The ferry stopped.
Charon told us to get out and follow him into a great big castle.
I stared at the skeletons walking by.
We walked and walked, and finally arrived at the throne room.
"Charon!" Hades boomed, as we walked in. "Who are these children and what are they doing here!"
"Uh.." Charon stuttered. "They aren't dead, and they have your hair color…?"
"Idiot! They are no children of mine! Look at their eyes! It looks like my brothers broke the oath!"
"Uh, y-yes sir."
"Bring them to me. I have… an important question for them."
Charon pushed us up towards Hades.
He leaned close and asked
"How do you feel about your fathers?"
My gaze turned stone cold.
"I hate him!" I yelled. "He abandoned me, forced my mom to tell me that greek myths were real, which attracted more monsters, which made my mom kick me out!"
He chuckled, and turned to Mia.
"You?"
She glared.
"I agree with Percy. I hate my father!"
He smiled, and said
"Very good. Now, would you two like to stay away from your fathers? Maybe… stay with me?"
Mia and I exchanged excited glances, and said together
"Yes!"
"But," I said, "can we change our names? Neither of us like it. Also, are we cousins?"
"Yes, you may change your names. And no, you are not cousins, as gods do not have DNA, therefore you are not at all related."
"Well," I said shyly, "I always liked the name Fang."
He smiled and said
"Yes! I like it! Fang it is."
Mia then said
"Well, I always thought Elektra was a really cool name, and now that I know my dad is Zeus, I know I can electrify people, even if I don't like him, I still think lightning powers are cool."
Hades smiled and said
"Well then, Fang, Elektra, welcome to your new home, the Underworld.
