Comfortable.
That's the word PaRappa would describe sleeping with Sunny. Not in a sexual way, though.
There they were, laying next to each other. While others saw it as a sleepover, for PaRappa, it was pretty much an incredible night in with the girl of his dreams.
There was almost nothing as good as this, he thought.
This was as good as it gets.
The sun rises. Light is cast throughout the land. Everyone- well, almost everyone- is getting ready for a good day.
Especially PJ Berri.
It's not usual for someone like him to be so eager to even wake up. Out of PaRappa's friend group, he's always the most chilled out, and has a habit of taking naps during the day. Despite this, he wished to be fully aware today. Today all his friends would be coming over to his humble abode, which hasn't happened in quite a while. He was especially excited to show off the new decorations he's placed inside.
"Okay," he said, adjusting his new hot dog-shaped lamp. "do I have everything in order?"
He looked around his living room. There was quite a lot of clutter. Papers containing unfinished drawings he did in his spare time, wrappers he forgot to throw away, loose change, all that.
"It's fine."
12:00 PM. It's when they said they'll show up. As PJ waited patiently on his couch, about to pass out, his doorbell rang.
He opened the door to find Paula Fox standing there.
"Hey, man.", she said. "How's it going in the world of PJ?" She laid down on her friend's couch.
PJ: Um, nothing much.
Paula: That's too bad. You do need a little excitement in your life.
PJ: What about you?
Paula: Well, I have been trying to get a job recently, and I have found a few good choices for me…
4 minutes after their friend Matt Major came to visit next…
Matt: ...and that's literally how the movie ends!
PJ: Wait, wait, hold up- they all just… drop dead? Are you sure?
Matt: Sure as the sun is bright.
Paula: That movie was horrible, huh?
Matt: Haha, you've been warned, guys. You've been warned…
...another ring of the bell fills PJ's living room. He opens his door, and in comes his bestest friend and his petal-headed girlfriend.
"We've got tacos!", PaRappa announced to the group. He and PJ did their own signature handshake (which starts with a fist bump, then a high, middle, and low five, and finally, a firm grasp on each other's hands for 2 seconds), and set himself on a chair, then set the food down on the round table.
He and his friends were having a great time together. Eating great food and having delightful and oftentimes funny conversations made for a great combination.
Paula: Ok, so… opinions on artificial intelligence.
Matt: Mm… I don't know. I mean, on paper, it seems cool, but I really don't like the idea of being controlled by some computer.
PaRappa: You might have a point, but me? I think it's amazing! The idea of a machine learning and developing like a real person is just wonderful, and talking to one like a real person- wait…
Sunny: You could always talk to us!
PaRappa: Right. Of course. Thanks.
PJ: I don't really care for it. Hand me that dipping sauce, Matt.
PJ always thought of food at the most inappropriate times.
It only took a few minutes after this exchange that Paula realized something and asked the group a question:
"Hey, does anyone know where Katy is?"
