At Gwen's apartment.

Gwen: "Courtney should be here soon."

Trent: "You ready?"

Gwen: "Yes."

She plants a kiss on Trent's lips.

Gwen frowns.

Gwen: "I just don't know if I can give her a second chance. I can forgive, but I cannot forget."

Trent places his hands on Gwen's shoulder.

Trent: "Courtney wouldn't be coming if she wasn't truly sorry. Hear her out and try to give her another chance. I know you want to."

Gwen smiles and kisses Trent on the lips. Someone knocks on Gwen's door.

Gwen opens it and sees Courtney.

Gwen: "Hey Courtney." She says without a smile.

Courtney: "Hey Gwen, Thanks for agreeing to speak with me."

She comes and sees Trent.

Courtney: "Hey Trent, How are you?"

Trent: "Good Courtney, how about you?"

Courtney: "Good, thanks."

Gwen: "Courtney, why don't we sit down?"

Courtney: "Sure."

They sit down.

Gwen: "Ok, Courtney. it has been 1 year since All Stars. I am now ready to hear you out. please say what you want to say."

Courtney's smile disappears.

Courtney: "Thanks Gwen. I would like to apologize again for my actions in All Stars. I was stupid to make that damn chart. I let winning get the better of me. I should never have hurt you like that. Gwen, I still see you as a friend. I really want us to be friends. Is there any way you can forgive me and give our friendship a second shot?"

Gwen: "Courtney, I forgave you shortly after All Stars ended. However, my problem is forgetting. I worked so hard for us to be friends again. I apologized, was friendly with you, and broke up with Duncan. I tried hard to repair our friendship. However, you stabbed me in the back because you thought winning was more important. The wound still hurts."

Courtney frowns.

Courtney: "Again, I'm really sorry Gwen. I let winning get the better of me. I did value our friendship, but I just wanted to win."

Gwen: "Winning was more important than out friendship. I, however, did not feel the same way. I didn't care about winning. I only cared about repairing our friendship, which is why I came back to Total Drama. However, all my attempts went to waste."

Courtney: "Gwen, I'm not trying to minimize what I did. However, what I did wasn't as bad as what you did."

Gwen becomes angry.

Gwen: "Are you seriously bringing this up?"

Courtney: "I don't want to, but what you did was worse."

Gwen: "For the last time, you and Duncan were not together when we kissed!"

Courtney becomes angry.

Courtney: "I really didn't want to bring this up, but I have to. You could have asked Duncan if we were over before you kissed, but didn't. You tried to argue that you did noting wrong in All Stars. When I watched the season, I saw you do that at least twice. You even said you did nothing wrong to be in the first elimination ceremony. When I watched World Tour, I saw and heard you say Duncan was my boyfriend the morning after your kiss. What you did was worse!"

Gwen: "We settled this in the boxing challenge, but I'll address this again. I should have confirmed with Duncan, but so should you have. I was wrong to say I did nothing wrong. I tried to convince myself I wasn't wrong because you two weren't together, but deep down I knew I was wrong. In World Tour, I initially said ex boyfriend, but the producers then forced me to say boyfriend, and it's not surprise they only showed me saying boyfriend. Courtney, we were told to do multiple takes on many occasions. I addressed this all in the boxing challenge. Did you forget?"

Courtney frowns.

Courtney: "You're right Gwen."

Gwen's anger disappears.

Gwen: " I could have handled things better and I wish I did. For the last time Courtney, I am sorry for how everything went down. I didn't intend for you to get hurt."

Courtney: "Thanks Gwen."

Gwen becomes angry

Gwen: "However, you put way more blame on me that what I deserved. I wasn't a boyfriend stealer. Duncan initiated the kiss and never made it clear to you that you two were over. As much as I hate to say this, but you pushed Duncan away by treating him horribly. You should have put more blame on him and yourself, instead of putting it all on me."

Courtney frowns some more.

Gwen's anger disappears.

Courtney: "You're right Gwen. I've watched all my seasons over the year. After watching, I've realized how horrible I was to the both of you. I'm really sorry Gwen. You did not deserve all that blame."

She frowns some more. Gwen can see the guilt on Courtney's face.

Gwen: "Thank you Courtney. What you did was crappy, but I'm also upset that Duncan didn't have my back that much."

Courtney: "Gwen, I wouldn't be here if I wasn't truly sorry. I'm not using you. I truly am sorry, and I really do want us to be friends again."

Gwen: "Courtney, I do believe you are being genuine. You're right that you wouldn't be here if you weren't sorry. However, I don't know if I can trust you. On one hand, I want to give us a second chance, but on the other hand, I don't know if I can."

Courtney: "Gwen, I'd totally understand if you do not want to see me again. However, if you give me another chance, I promise not to betray you again. I've been changing for the better over the last year. I'm not as competitive, or aggressive. I'm much more calm. I'm no longer the crazy and aggressive person I once was."

Gwen: "That's good Courtney. Look, I need to think about this."

Courtney: "Take your time Gwen." She smiles. "Thanks for listening to me."

Gwen smiles.

Gwen: "No problem."

Courtney: "Well, I got to go. See you Gwen."

Gwen: "See you Courtney.

Courtney: "See you Trent."

Trent: "See you Courtney."

Courtney walks out the door.

Gwen walks up to Trent.

Gwen: "That did go well." With no smile on her face.

Trent: "Do you believe her?"

Gwen: "I do. I want to give her a second chance, but I just don't know if I can trust her." She says with a look of concern.

Trent: "She does seem genuinely sorry. Gwen, you have been holding onto this for 1 year and I know you want to let this go. This is your chance. I know in your heart you want to give her a second chance. Go with your heart Gwen."

Gwen: "Thanks Trent. She says with a smile."

She plants a kiss on Trent's lips.

After Trent leaves, Gwen spends the rest of the day contemplating her conversation with Courtney and what Trent said. She constantly goes back and forth. This goes on for several hours.

Later in the night while Gwen is sleeping, she is thinking about what Courtney and Trent said.

Those statements repeat in her head for a while. This goes on for an hour. After an hour, Gwen wakes up.

Gwen: "I've really been thinking about what they said. I can't stop. I need to make a decision. Courtney is genuinely sorry. She does feel very bad for how things went down. She does appear to be more calm and a better person. She wouldn't have apologized if she was not sorry. She had no reason to give a fake apology. I want to give her another chance, but have been afraid to do so."

She sighs.

Gwen: "Courtney gave me another chance. She is right that what I did was worse. If she could give me another chance, then I can do the same for her. Maybe, I should follow Trent's advise of going with my heart."

She thinks for a moment.

Gwen: "You know what? I should go with my heart. I will give her a second chance. I will call her tomorrow."

She smiles and falls asleep peacefully.

The next morning, after breakfast, Courtney arrives at Gwen's house.

Gwen: "Hey Courtney, come on in." She says with a smile.

Courtney: "Thanks Gwen." She says with a smile.

She comes in Gwen's apartment.

Gwen's smile disappears and she becomes serious.

Gwen: "So, I've been doing a lot of thinking since our conversation."

Courtney: "Oh." She says now without a smile on her face.

Gwen: "You did hurt me and break my trust. I've struggled giving you another chance."

Courtney frowns.

Gwen: "But."

The frown on Courtney's face disappears.

Gwen: "You've proven you're sorry and that you've changed."

Courtney: "What are you trying to say Gwen?"

Gwen: "You clearly regret what you did and want a second chance. You gave me a second chance. So, I can give you one."

Gwen then smiles. Courtney smiles in excitement, and runs and hugs Gwen. Gwen hugs back.

Courtney: "Thank you so much Gwen."

Gwen: "No problem Courtney.

They end the hug.

Courtney: "I promise you won't regret this."

Gwen: "I'm glad Courtney. You want to hangout?"

Courtney: "Sure."

The two sit down and start chatting. Both are happy and at peace that their friendship has now been restored. Nothing will get in the way of their friendship this time.
