The Mission: Chapter One

"What can we do? Thrawn is crushing all of our attempts to retrieve supplies, make raids, or do anything!" Senator Bail Organa, of Organa, was just about beside himself. Ever since Grand Admiral Thrawn had started his campaign against the Rebels, specifically, Phoenix Squadron and the Specters, things had started going downhill, and fast.

"Perhaps, an infiltration is in order," said Mon Mothma. Calm and steadfast, she was the eye in the storm, in a good way.

"But who? Many, if not most, of our agents and, ah, spy's are out on the field and spread thin," this came from General Jan Dodonna, who's white hair was as frazzled as he looked.

"What about someone like Lieutenant Antilles or perhaps your friend, Ciara?" inquired Mon Mothma.

This was directed towards Amira. From the time of Order 66 and throughout the early days of the Rebellion, she'd collected information, and the passed it on to either Fulcrum, Bail Organa, or one of the various Rebel Cells.

"She can't. By Imperial Records she's dead. And if I may remind you, Thrawn would most likely be able to put two and two together," Amira replied, "Wedge, however, is out on a supply run at the moment, and before you ask, he's listed as a deserter from the Imperial Starfighter Academy."

Ciara, was in fact a deserter too, but officially dead, by a well played ploy that had the stormtrooper squad she was with killed, and her taken into custody by a Rebel cell, which until Amira showed up, had no clue that she was in fact, a Rebel agent, nothing less the a Ranger's Informant too.

"I could do it though."

This was met with open surprise from Dodonna, the curiosity of Senator Organa, and the hardening eyes of _. Only Mon Mothma kept a blank slate, but Amira could tell she was questioning her abilities.

"Let me put it this way. I've been off the grid longer than anyone else here, well except for Rex, but there are at least, at least, a million or so other people out there who look just as I do. And besides, Thrawn may expect anyone from Wedge to Ezra, to come and try to gain information, but would he expect a fully trained Jedi and Mandalorian? Let alone a Ranger's Informant? No. We have the element of surprise. All we need to do is sell the point that I'm someone else than who I really am."

Bail was nodding in agreement, as was Mothma and Jan, but _, was still hesitant.

"Then tell us, how would we get you, aboard the Chimaera?"

"Already planned. We set up a temporary camp somewhere within the area around Lothal. We then 'accidentally' let the Imperials know we're there. Something like an easily decrypted trans motion that can be intercepted."

Amira took a breath and looked around at her fellows. They were all following along with what she was saying, and seemed to agree as well.

"Then they make a hit against us. A surprise one, coming out of nowhere. We all scatter, leaving behind some non critical information, perhaps supply lists and whatnot, but in the process I'm left behind and taken prisoner. That way I can get onto the Chimaera without much trouble. Yes I won't have as much free rein, but I'll be able to interact with Thrawn more, instead of having it be from a lower officer's point of view."

"How would we be able to sell the raid though? And the 'base'?" Organa asked, leaning forward.

"Have the Ghost crew there. That'll be able to sell it more of it being an actual hideout" Amira answered, "But we can't let them know of the mission. I think it'll work better if they think I'm dead, but that also means you, and anyone else who knows of the plan will have to go along with the act. And because they'd think I'm dead, nobody will rush off to save me until the time is right, such as a signal given to my astromech."

"Within what time span?"

"However long it takes, but hopefully nothing longer than a week or two."

With this, everyone around the table was nodding in agreement, even Rex agreed.

"Very well, then General Moonguard, the job is yours. We wish you luck," Mon Mothma nodded her head in acknowledgment to Amira.

"Thank you, Senator Mothma."

"I'll start setting up the base and making arrangements for the 'leak'," Rex said, and with a nod, turned and left the meeting.

"And with that, I'll let part of the fleet know we're moving."

This came from Jan, who also, with a nod, left to follow after Rex. This left only Mon Mothma and Bail Organa with Amira.

"Are you sure you can do this?" Bail asked, slightly tilting his head at Amira.

"Yes. Or my name isn't Amira Moonguard."
