On the day after their wedding, Eric and Ariel lay a rest in bed.
Ariel opens her eyes and sees her husband smiling at her, he was shirtless
Ariel: what are you smiling for
Eric: I just had this wonderful dream
Ariel: oh tell me about it
Eric: well, it started with with the ship wreck on my birthday, then this beautiful mermaid rescued me and sing to me this most beautiful song, her voice was like an angel
Ariel blushed for the way he described her
Eric: I search the entire sea looking for her, then I was battling his giant octopus witch to save her, and as I was about to kiss her, I woke up and I noticed this gorgeous women lying next to me and I said, WOW I'm married to her
They both shared a chuckle, she climbs on top of him, he wraps his arms around her waist and as their faces were closer, they leaned in for a kiss.
Eric: you know maybe we can turn the dream into reality.
Ariel: really
As the get ready to press their lips together, they closed eyes and...
Knock, knock
Eric: oh
Ariel: (gasp)
It was Grimsby he had urgent news
Grimsby: Prince Eric are you awake
Eric: eh yeah hold on grin I'm coming
He quick gets out of bed and puts on his uniform and he opens the door and goes outside
Eric: what is it grim
He hands his a letter
Grimsby: I just received a letter
Eric takes it
Grimsby: it's your parents their on their way to see you
Eric: oh, well get the kingdom ready
Grimsby: yes sire
As he waits for Grimsby to leaves, he check on Ariel and sees her changing, he smiles and heads to his office
Meanwhile with Ariel, as she put on her new dress she felt a pain in her stomach
Ariel: AH!!!
She holds her stomach, rushes to the bathroom and vomits in the toilet
Ariel: Blaargh (cough) (cough)
As she wipes the vomit stains on her mouth, she looks herself in the mirror and she stomach makes a grumble noise again, she holds it
Ariel: whats wrong with me
Eric was in his office doing some paperwork, when he noticed a poorly prepared letter on the right side of his desk, as he picks it up, his face dropped when he read the message what was written in red ink.
YOU WILL DIE
Eric: (gasp)
The messaged looked like it was written by a serial killer, but up behind him was someone that was trying to kidnapped him, as the mysterious stranger, quietly went behind and grabbed him.
Wonrie: GOTCH, YA
Eric: AH!
He looked and saw that it was only wonrie, he's brother, he had a scar on his left eye, bags underneath his eyes, wore dark clothing and his hair was messy.
Wonrie: (laughs) you always fall for that one
He puts Eric down
Eric: that wasn't very funny, what if this was from a real killer
He slams the paper on his chest
Wonrie: then be prepare
Eric: what are you doing here wonrie
Wonrie sits down and puts his feet up
Wonrie: you besides seeing my baby brother
Eric rolls his eyes playfully
Wonrie: I got a message from ma and pa that they wanted to talk to us about something important, so here I am
Eric: well I'm a little busy right now, so go wait downstairs and tell me when their here
Wonrie: they been here
Eric: (gasp) what why didn't you tell me
He rushes downstairs to see the his parents, the king and queen, the king wore the same uniform Eric had on, but with a red and blue color instead black hair slick back, beard and mustache. The queen had sea foam green gown with white laces, gloves, her hair was golden, and wore diamond jewelry.
Eric: mother, father
Melody: hello Eric
Dimitir: son (he bows)
Eric rushes to them
Eric: hello mother
He hugs her, she hugs him back
Eric: hello father
The two men shared a hug as they let go the queen touches Eric's face
Melody: oh Eric, look how handsome you turned out, you look like your father
He smiles at the queen and king
Wonrie: ahem
They king and queen turned to wonrie
Queen: oh, hello wonrie
Dimitir: wonrie
Eric: what brings you here
Dimitir: we heard that you got married
Melody: sorry we couldn't attend, but we had some issues to take care at the kingdom
Eric: it's ok I understand mom, we got your wedding gift
Wonrie wraps his arms around Eric's neck
Wonrie: it's a real shame too, you missed a great party
Melody: oh can it wonrie, me and your father know that you didn't attend your own brother's wedding
Dimitir: what was so important that you couldn't come
But before he could answer, Ariel came in
Ariel: oh Eric, I'm going for a wal--
She saw his parents and brother
Eric: mother, father this is Ariel, my wife, Ariel these are my parents
His parents were stunned to see her, specifically his mom
Melody: oh Eric
She walks to Ariel
Melody: she's beautiful
Dimitir: she's lovely son
She does a little curtsy to them
Melody: hello I'm melody, this is dimitir
Ariel: it's a pleasure to meet your highness
Dimitir: the pleasure is all mine
He takes her hand and kisses it, Ariel giggles as he does so.
Eric: Ariel
She turns to Eric
Eric: this is my brother wonrie
One look at him and her blood ran cold, melody takes her arm in hers
Melody: come let's talk, I must know more about my daughter-in-law
As they walked around in the castle, Eric walks to join them only to be stopped my his father.
Dimitir: eric
He puts his hand on his shoulder
Dimitir: we need to talk
He takes the two young princes, to the throne room, they sit down
Eric: so father, what's the important emergency, wonrie told me about
He gives Eric a concern look mixed with worry
Dimitir: Eric, your grandfather Sheldon, died last night
Eric: (heartbroken) oh no, sorry dad
Dimitir: it's going to be alright, I know how Michel you loved your grandfather
Eric: I wish, I was there to say goodbye to him
Dimitir walks over to him and places his hand on Eric's shoulder, he looks up to see him smile, he smiles back, then the smile disappears and paces.
Dimitir: after your grandfather died, it got me thinking, I'm not going to be around much longer with you boys
Eric: but dad
He holds his hand up
Dimitir: that's why I decided to retire and have one of you be the next king
Wonrie: oh father, you don't know how joy this brings me
Dimitir: settle down wonrie, I haven't decided yet
Wonrie sits down
Dimitir: me and mother did some thinking and decided that...
wonrie gets ready to accept his crown
Dimitir: Eric is going to next in line for the throne
Wonrie/Eric: what?
Eric: me king but father
Wonrie gets up furious
Wonrie: BUT FATHER you can't make Eric be king, I'm the eldest and he doesn't know anything about being a ruler
Eric: he's got a point father, why me
Dimitir: we chose you cause, your loyal, faithful and caring son and who happens to write to his parents often, eh wonrie
Wonrie: (gasp) gr
Dimitir: besides he's already married, which is something you failed to do wonrie also your mother wants to have grandchildren
Eric blushes
Eric: but-but (sigh) father I do t want to be king, I'm not even sure if I can be king
Dimitir: nonsense Eric, your grandfather always knew, you'll be king one day, he saw light inside your heart.
Eric looks down, he places his hand on his shoulder
Dimitir: please, Eric do it for us, for your grandfather
He thinks for a minute, then agrees
Eric: I won't let you down father
They smiled at each other and hugged, the emotional moment disgusted wonrie, he marched out of the room.
Angered at his parents for choosing Eric over him and angry at Eric for being next in line
Growing up, Eric has been the apple of his parent's eyes, wonrie has always been jealous for Eric for being the favorite child, the best-liked, the most beloved. But now he was sick of it.
He goes to the kitchen and takes out a knife and looks at his reflection.
Wonrie: no more, I am no longer going to play second banana to Eric.
He plans to kill Eric
Wonrie: first things first, I think it's time for mummy and daddy to kick the bucket (chuckles sinisterly)
Meanwhile with the queen and Ariel, she tells Ariel about Eric's childhood.
Melody: when he was a boy, he'd learned to play the flute and put on a show for his grandfather and there was the this first time he met max, he went to the woods to get some apples for his grandmother, when he got ambushed by wolves out cane max and rescued them
She shows her a picture of a younger Eric and max laughing,
Ariel: (chuckles)
Melody: when he brought him inside, he begged us to let me keep him
She takes the picture and presses against her heart
Melody: (sobs) sometimes I wish (sobs) he would stay a little boy longer
She breakdown and Ariel let's her cry on her shoulder and pats her back.
Ariel: he'll always love you
Melody: I know (sniffs)
She wipes her tears away
Melody: speaking of which, I have a present for you
She takes out a box opens it and hands Ariel a seashell.
Ariel: oh wow it's beautiful
Melody: this was gift form Eric's great grandfather, my father, it's an family, passed down to granddaughter and now
She takes her hand and puts the seashell in it
Melody: I give it to you
Ariel: whats so sweet of yo-- ah!
Just then she started to feel a pain in her stomach
Melody: ARIEL!
She collapsed on the ground, melody quick picks her up and walks her to the room
Melody: Carlotta, get something tea
Melody takes a moist rag and puts it on her head
Just then Eric comes in and sees Ariel
Eric: (gasp) Ariel!!!
He runs to her, his mother takes her hand and rubs it, he presses the back of his hand against her cheeks. She opens her eyes to see him and smiles weakly.
Ariel: Eric Ah!!
As she tries to touch his face, she felt too weak to move, he takes her hand in his
Eric: mother what happened
Melody: I don't know, we were outside talking when she collapsed.
He looks back at her with concern
Melody: I'm sure it's just a small fever
She touches his shoulder, assures him she'll be okay, but he didn't wanted to leave her
Melody: all she needs is a little bed rest, I'll call her a doctor and he'll see what's wrong with her, she'll be ok I promise
He smiles at his mother and they both leave the room
As the days passed by Eric starts to notice that Ariel gets sicker by the day and still worries for her. And just then a Doctor cane and examined Ariel, Eric stay up days and nights, awaiting for her prescription, but his parents assured him, that she'll be okay.
They finally convinced him to get done sleepy and as he goes the doctor finished Ariel's check-up, but he g he as a worry look in his face, the king and queen were feeling worried with concern, so the queen went up to him.
Melody: so how is she
The Doctor looks up at her then back down
Doctor: it's nothing much, but the princess is...is...we'll she's pregnant
Melody: (gasp)
The queen's face light up with joy
Melody: I'm going to be a grandmother
Dimitir: but when you were pregnant with the boys, you didn't collapse or was in deep pain, you were very healthy
Doctor: that's the one thing, I can't figure out, but I do that she needs to rest in bed, give her tea and soup, and most importantly Mercer let her out of bed until the baby is born it will only make her fever much worse
As he left, the queen went to talk to Ariel
Dimitir: should we tell Eric
Melody: well tell him tonight love, for now let him sleep, he's been worrying sick about Ariel too much, it's best to let him know when he's awake
Dimitir: alright darling
As she goes in the room, up Behind them, wonrie was eavesdropping
Wonrie: great, that's perfect another heir to the throne (smiles sinisterly) I'll just have to take care of that
Later that night on the same day, the king and queen were getting ready to eat, wonrie says he was cooking, he made creamy potato soup as he sets the soups down to them, he takes out a vile filled with poison and dumps it in their soups, he even had a soup made for Eric. As the king and queen sat down and ate their soup, Eric didn't show.
Melody: wonrie, go wake up Eric and tell him to come eat
Wonrie: yes mother
As he marches upstairs, he smiles sinisterly behind them, he knocks on Eric's door
Eric: (groans) who is it (yawn)
Wonrie: Eric it's me mother and father wants downstairs to eat
Eric: ok I'm coming
As the two princes, walked in the dining room, he sits down by and saw a certain look in their parents eyes.
Eric: is something wrong
They looked at each other and put their spoons down
Melody: Eric, the Doctor finished his examination on Ariel and--
He quickly gets up from his chair
Eric: IS SHE GOING TO BE OKAY
Dimitir: Eric calm down
He settles down
Melody: he finished examining her and well she's-- (gulp)
She then starts to get a pain in her stomach
Eric: she's what
Melody: (cough) (cough)
She started to cough a lot
Dimitir: melody are you are dear
She started coughing out blood and collapsed on the floor, the king catches her in time
Dimitir/Eric: (gasp)
Dimitir: MELODY!
Eric: MOM!
Dimitir: Eric go get (cough) help
But before he could, his dad started to cough
Eric: dad?
Dimitir: (cough) (cough) (cough)
He ends up collapsing on floor, next to the queen
Eric: DAD! Wonrie, Carlotta, Grimsby quirky call the Doctor
The two caretakers come in and help the king and queen to thebedroom,as Eric pace with worries, wonrie smiles sinisterly.
Wonrie: that's two down and... one more to go (chuckles evilly)
As the Doctor finally comes out, Eric goes to him expecting sone good new skills, but all he was was grief.
Eric: how are they
Doctor: I'm so sorry, but their gone
Eric: (gasp) NO!
He falls on his knees, the Doctor touches his shoulders
Doctor: you're father wants to talk to you before he goes
He goes to the room and his heart drops when he sees his mother lifeless, his dead was still breathing
Dimitir (weakly): Er-Eric
Eric: I'm here father
He takes his hand in his
Dimitir: i am about to come to an end
Eric starts to cry
Eric: no
Dimitir: you're going (wheezes) going to have to be the new king
Eric: father (sobs) I can't do it
Dimitir: yes you can, i believe you can, just remember that no matter what, you're grandfathers has always been proud of you and me and your mother (cough) (cough) will always love you
He touches his cheeks
Dimitir: and there another thing you should know (cough) (cough)
Eric: what?
Dimitir: Ariel... is pregnant
Eric: (gasp) what really, do that means she'll be okay
His face lights up
Dimitir: yes but she is in deep pain and I heard your brother is planning to harm her, then kill you to get the crown, promise me that you'll protect her
Eric: I promise
The king gives him a final smile
Dimitir: i...love you... son
And just like that he was gone, Eric Tried to sta. Strong but cried on his dad's shoulders
Eric: (sobbing) I love you too dad
On the same day Eric finds out Ariel is pregnant, he promised his dad, he'd protect her, he grabs his sword, goes upstairs to check on Ariel and find wonrie aiming a dagger at her.
Eric: (gasp) WONRIE
He turns to see Eric kicking him off Ariel
Wonrie: ah
He bends down to Ariel, presses her hand against her head, she wakes up to see him.
Ariel (weakly): Eric
Eric: why didn't you tell me that you were pregnant
Ariel: I-I didn't know, I didn't wanted you to-- agh
Eric: shh, shh, shh just get some rest
He kisses her forehead and turns back to wonrie, runs to him and punches him In the cheek.
Wonrie: ah!
He falls back
Eric: WONRIE are you crazy why would you kill Ariel
Ariel: (gasp)
She overheard the commotion, wonrie gets up and runs, Eric follows fearing that she might lose Eric, she got out of bed
Ariel: (grunts)
Wonrie grabs a sword near by And as she heads out, she sees the two princes sword fighting each other
Ariel: (groans in pain)
Every part of her body was aching in pain
Eric: why would you do this
Wonrie: it's because of you!
Eric: what?
Wonrie: mother and father, loved you more then me, you were always the favorite the beloved one and even had the decadent to chose you to be king, when I was the one who's supposed to be next in line, I'm the eldest
Eric: wonrie I loved you, I cared about you, you shouldn't let jealousy get in the wa. Between us
Wonrie: (grunts) ah!
Eric: Ah!
He kicks Eric down and aims his sword at his throat
Wonrie: (gasp) (gasp) (gasp) I already killed mother and father
Eric/Ariel: (gasp)
Wonrie: and after I kill you, I'll kill your wife and child and then I'll be the next king
Ariel covers her mouth then gets an idea
Eric: brother please, don't do this, mother and father didn't deserved this
He pulls the sword back getting ready to slice it in Eric's throat
Wonrie: I'm going to be king and NOTHING WILL STOP ME
Just then Ariel grabs a sword near a knight and cuts the rope that was holding a chandelier, Eric and wonrie look up and the chandelier crushes wonrie.
Wonrie: ah!
Shattered
Eric covers himself as the crystals break, Ariel collapse on the floor.
Eric gets up and looks at the shattered chandelier
Eric: (sigh) oh wonrie You'll always be my favorite
He then looks at the unconscious Ariel
Eric: Ariel!
He runs to her, picks her up and presses the back of his hand on her cheek.
Eric: (softly) Ariel
He takes her hand and presses it against his face, he wanted her to feel his warmth
He then heard her breathing, he looks down at her and smiled, he carries her bridal-style to Their room
The next morning, Eric planned a funeral for his parents, after the accident, Eric attended to ariel's fever, she never woke up but he always stayed by her side waiting for her to wake up.
In the middle of the night, he sat next to her, pressed his hand on her baby bump and felt the baby kicked.
Eric: (chuckles) you're mother would've felt that
He bends down and kisses her stomach
9 months later it became the day, the born was born, Ariel was still unconscious when she gave birth to the baby.
After the baby was born, Ariel finally awoken from her comma
The next morning she opened her eyes slowly and saw her husband smiling at her
Ariel: (softly) Eric
He presses a moist rag on her head
Eric: oh Ariel
She gets up slowly, he hugs her
Eric: I though I lost you
She parts from him and looks at him with fear in her eyes
Ariel: is the baby ok?
Eric: don't worry she's ok
Ariel: she?
She smiles as Eric gets up to a small antique baby bed and carries a beautiful baby girl to her
Ariel: (gasp)
She covers her mouth as she takes the baby gently from Eric's arms, she brings to cry with tears of joy, Eric wraps her in a warm embrace.
Just then Carlotta came in with a tea platter
Carlotta: congratulations you two
They looked at each other smiling
Carlotta: have you decided on the name
Ariel thought for a minute
Ariel: how about melody
Eric looks at her
Eric: melody
Ariel: yes we'll name her after your mother after all at least you'll have something to remind you of her
Eric smiles at her and wraps his arms around her and the baby
Eric: our little melody
They looked at the baby then each other and slowly shared a kiss
The end
